AN: Let's jump right into it.

ROBB

KIRU CITY

A now familiar light enveloped Robb and Jon, and soon they were no longer in the almost pure white of Chaotic, but instead outside, in what looked like a city.

Robb had only ever been in one city before, and that was White Harbor. A port on the eastern coast.

Kiru City was very different. He could tell just from the roads.

He had been very overwhelmed in Chaotic, but now that he was in an open space, and he could feel the heat without being near a fire, he realized something.

'I'm not in the North.'

It struck Robb harder than he had thought it would. He had never been somewhere the Stark name held no sway.

"Strange, is it not?" Jon said from behind him.

"Yeah, you can say that." Robb agreed. He had been just looking at the city, but now he was looking at the inhabitants. The Creatures.

'The Overworlders.' Robb realized. His favorite tribe. He was in their home. They were REAL.

It was really overwhelming. It was one thing to become Arias and face Slurhk. That had at least made him feel somewhat equal. But now, he realized just how weak he was in comparison. Jon had explained that back in Chaotic.

"So, anywhere specifically you want to go?" Jon asked. "I was here briefly once, but I don't really know my way around."

"I… I don't know." Robb said. "This is the capital city of the Overworld, but I never really thought about it more than the card. I don't know anything about this location."

"Well, in that case, we might as well walk to the center and see what we find." Jon suggested. With a nod Robb followed.

"So, I haven't been everywhere, but different tribes treat players differently. The Danians are the most territorial. For the most part, they will attack anyone who appears in their land. Some players say they are more open to negotiations and discussions when outside of Mount Pillar though." Jon explained.

"Overworlders are probably the most ambivalent about us. At least from what I heard. I almost got killed by Dractyl, and Slurhk, but for the most part they will leave us alone if we do the same."

Robb nodded. It made sense considering the lore of the cards.

"Underworlders can be a bit of a mixed bag. Some are fine with humans, but others are like the Danians. It is really more of a case by case basis. Which leaves the Mipedians. The first location I went to was the Oasis, and they were pretty accepting of me there. I'm sure there are some who do not like humans, but at least in the Oasis, it was sort of like I was under guest rights. They also saved me from Slurhk, but that may have been more because I was giving them an opening to attack."

Robb listened to Jon's explanations. 'Hopefully I don't run into the other tribes much.'

Unlike Jon and his mixed deck, Robb had chosen the Overworld tribe and stayed loyal to them for the most part. If he got creatures from other tribes, he would probably try to trade them. That wasn't to say that he would ignore creatures of other tribes if he could make them work, but he constantly found himself relying on the Overworld time after time.

The city itself, once you got past the vastly different appearances of its inhabitants, actually did remind Robb much of White Harbor. There were regular citizens going about their daily lives, sometimes giving them a curious or mistrustful look, but otherwise leaving them be. There were other players as well. Not many, but some waved at their fellow players, or just ignored them. It was peaceful.

Some of the buildings were homes, others appeared to be some sort of shops of various kinds, and others that looked otherwise normal, had guards stationed around them, showing they held some importance to them in one way or another.

Robb looked at the guards. They were mostly human in shape and size, but had green skin. They all appeared to be identical, wearing white helmets and masks with blue armor covering their bodies.

'What would their cards be like?' Robb thought before discarding the idea. Getting the guards angry would probably cut their visit short.

"Well, at the very least we reached something recognizable." Jon suddenly said, pointing to one building in particular.

It stood apart from the others, and held a sort of reverence around it. It was made of white stone, but along its windows and roof had blue shades, pillars and additional add ons that undoubtedly cost a fortune.

"The Overworld Library." Jon said. "Theon has this location."

Robb had thought that Winterfell's library had been large. But this building nearly rivaled the Main Keep of Winterfell in size, and it was all for the storing of books.

"Think we would be allowed in?" Robb asked. They could see that the entrance had guards posted nearby, but they were doing nothing to stop creatures from coming and going. Would it be the same for Humans?

"Well, one way to find out?" Jon said as he began to walk towards it. "If thet attack me or anything, port out."

"No Jon, I will." Robb said. "This is my first time in Perim right? I should be the one taking the risks.

"Just be careful." Jon cautioned.

Robb took a deep breath and walked up to the library. The guards moved to stand in front of him. Before Robb could do anything else, one of them spoke.

"Show us your Scanner."

Robb stopped for a second, and held his blue Scanner up.

"You may enter."

The guards moved out of the way. Robb turned and waved Jon over. His brother ran up, and the guards went back to blocking his path. Having seen what Robb did, Jon pulled out his own Scanner.

"You are not allowed." The guard said.

"What?" Robb asked. "Why isn't he? He did the same thing as me."

"That is the law." The guard said. "Only Chaotic Players with Blue Scanners have access to more restricted areas without express permission. We can't do anything if you have a way to go into the library, but the fact that you aren't already means you can't. Any Scanner of a different color may be a spy working for another tribe. In your case, the Mipedians."

Before Robb or Jon could try to protest, or Robb could try to vouch for his brother, a new voice from inside the library spoke up.

"I had no idea our cookbooks were such closely guarded secrets. I am sure Herken would be glad to hear it."

The guards joined Robb and Jon in looking at the new voice.

He wore a purple robe that momentarily hid his features, but he had white skin- no, white fur- and claws for hands like a cat.

Vidav.

"I shall vouch for this human. He wouldn't be able to do anything under my eye, so I will take full responsibility for him." He said.

The two guards looked at each other briefly, before stepping aside, allowing Jon and Robb to pass. "If you leave Vidav's side, you will be arrested." One guard warned Jon.

The two Stark sons walked through the entrance, and before they could even think of thanking Vidav, they were immediately taken by the splendor and beauty of the library.

"I apologize for that small altercation." Vidav said, retaking the boy's attention. "We have been getting better about Player's in the Overworld, but it can still be improved."

"You have no need to apologize." Jon assured the cat man. "If anything, I should be thanking you for letting me get in here in the first place."

"Think nothing of it. Knowledge is meant to be shared for all. But the constant fighting of the tribes has long turned great advances into strategically withheld secrets." Vidav said with a sad expression.

"From the sound of it, that was a new decision." Robb noted. "I myself am new to this, but the guards explained it like they had just started doing it."

"You are correct. Humans have been coming here more often over time. When we realized this, Our leader Maxxor called a meeting to discuss both how we interact with humans, and how we keep the other tribes from using you as spies." Vidav explained.

"And you decided to use our Scanner's colors as the basis?" Jon asked.

"It was a compromise." Vidav explained. "Many were unwilling to let humans even be in the Overworld. Others were willing to let them in some places, but banned in others. At least this way, some humans can interact with us without issue. It is a small step, but an important one."

"I suppose it is better than nothing." Robb remarked.

'It also means that Jon will have a harder time getting OVerworld scans though.' He thought to himself.

"Well, in any case, thank you again." Jon said. "You really have helped us out."

Vidav chuckled. "I would not praise my actions too much. I admit, I had a bit of a personal motivation on why I chose to help you."

"Oh?" Robb asked, a bit nervous at this reveal.

"It is not something I would think you consider major, but I was wondering if you could answer some of my own questions regarding humans and where you come from." Vidav explained. "Many of you humans have come seeking Scans of us, and many asked questions about what life is like in Perim. So I was simply curious what your regular lives are like."

'That… Actually makes sense.' Robb thought to himself.

To him, Perim was so mysterious and amazing, but to someone who had lived here his entire life, Vidav was used to it, but had no knowledge of the ordinary lives Robb and other humans had themselves.

"I assure you, I can compensate you for my questions." Vidav explained. He reached into his robe and produced an Overworld Mugic.

"I have been working on this for some time. 'Vidav's Voicing.' Perhaps a bit arrogant to name it after myself, especially as my mugical knowledge is far from that of the likes of such living legends like Kopond or Najarin, but not exactly unheard of either. I have been working on it for Solons, and finally figured it out just recently. My research on it has already been sent to several actual experienced muges, so they may make more. Some will, if only to confirm that the research works, but it is not likely that they will make many. It's effect will be considered useless for the time."

Robb leaned in closer. An actual mugic. It was large enough to take up his entire hand.

"What does it do?" Jon asked. "I can hardly think of any Mugic as useless. Sure, some can be more situational, but every Mugic has a purpose."

"A sentiment I share. It is essentially a superior version of Song of Resurgence, only instead of healing, it gives the increased burst of energy directly to the creature, even if they are not injured. However, it has one major caveat, and that is that it does not work on Overworlders."

Robb jolted his head up, looking at Vidav in shock.

If he understood that right, this mugic increased energy. Song of Resurgence was good for healing, but gaining energy was superior. But to have such a limit...

'Even with such a weakness, it can be very useful in the game. But in Perim, with all the tribes fighting, it would be next to worthless. Overworlders wouldn't use it on their enemies, while Non-overworlders wouldn't be able to use it at all.'

"You really are dedicated to peace." Robb noted.

Vidav gave the heir of Winterfell a sad smile. "If only we all were."

"I'm surprised you aren't an Ambassador." Jon noted.

"Oh I almost was." Vidav explained. "Maxxor started the Embassy's in part because Raznus and I shared a dream for a unified Perim. He was much more open to the idea than his father was. Crown Prince Iflar is also somewhat open to an alliance, if not full peace. But he also has to deal with some more extreme factions of Mipedians. Biondu is one such figure, while Ranun has claimed that he will allow no peace until he has vengeance against both Chaor and Maxxor, though how he intends to go about it is anyone's guess. Khianne has her hands full with them. Prince Mudeenu is loyal to the Royal Family above all. He will go along with it if Iflar agrees, but until then he will continue to do what he believes must be done to protect his Tribe. Then there are the Danians. Raznus has explained how isolating it is to be so far from home, and his presence is more tolerated than it is accepted. They are afraid that if they show any weakness, then they will be wiped out. He rarely gets to speak directly with the queen, instead speaking to several nobles of varying willingness. I was originally going to be the Ambassador to the Underworld, but plans for such ended relatively quickly. We thought that we could establish an embassy in Underworld City, but then we received an offer from Lord Van Bloot. He would be willing to let us use Gothos Tower as a base while the Embassy was being constructed. Maxxor was originally accepting of the idea, believing that Van Bloot may be more open than Chaor, whom Maxxor had already fought against. But before anything could come of it, communications with the Underworld ceased entirely. Instead, Intress had to defend the Passage from a large-scale attack. Ever since then, the Underworld Tribe has been closed off. Maxxor thinks that if the Mipedians and Danians do join us, that it would be enough to force peace talks to open up with them."

Vidav shook his head, as if to stop that train of thought. "In any case, this is not the conversation I was hoping to have. Enough about Perim, at least for now. Tell me, what is your world like?"

Robb looked at Jon, but his brother had no advice for this situation. He was experienced compared to Robb, but he was still relatively a novice himself.

"Alright then." Robb said. "I suppose I will start. I was born in a castle called Winterfell."

JON

OVERWORLD LIBRARY

"Interesting." Vidav mumbled as he and Robb finished giving a brief lesson on their own world.

Some of it they had only explained the basics, but others they had gone as in depth as they could. Looking out the windows, it appeared that the Sun was almost setting.

"So you humans are not as united as we thought." Vidav said. "You all come from many different places, and while there is relative peace for the moment where you are, other places are constantly at war."

"That is a fair assessment I would say." Robb nodded.

Vidav sighed. "I admit, I had somewhat hoped that you humans held the key to uniting us. We all considered humans to be the same, so we foolishly thought you did not know of war like we do. Though your world does have some interesting points."

Vidav looked at Robb. "You said that these 'Seven Kingdoms' are essentially your Tribe. They used to be independent, but became united? How exactly?"

"Through conquest." Robb said. "Centuries ago, a man by the name of Aegon Targaryen, fought the kingdoms one by one, taking each over until they all recognized him as leader. His family lost it only recently, around the time we were born. But the throne he created is still held by the leader of the Seven Kingdoms, Robert Baratheon."

"Yes, but that would not be of much help in Perim." Vidav noted. "That would be the same as just letting the tribes destroy each other. Or worse, using the Cothica to do so. But in any case, it was a very interesting lesson. It helps put Perim in perspective at least."

Vidav stood up. "Well then, a deal is a deal."

He placed his self-named Mugic down on the table.

Jon pulled out his Scanner, and began to scan it. Robb watched what he did and copied him.

Soon, the mugiv appeared on the Scanner, showing it had worked.

Jon would never really understand why mugic looked the way it did. They were always the strangest illustrations on any card. For Vidav's Voicing, it appeared to be a white orb with several colors in it, surrounded on the top by a red hoop, with two more hovering above it, while tendrils colored bluish green stretched out from the mugic.

'Its description matches what Vidav said it does.' Jon thought.

"There are seven tenets to victory, and it is no coincidence that seven notes are the key to each." Robb read aloud.

Vidav looked at him curiously. "That was perhaps the thought that I had when I finally completed it. Word for word. Your Scanners can even tell you that much?"

"Apparently." Jon said. The lore on cards was always interesting to him, but to think that it was a phrase from Vidav's own thoughts.

'Whoever made this game, if they are not gods, then they have to be incredibly powerful magic users.' He thought to himself, reflecting on the biggest mystery there was.

"Well then, it is getting late. I am sure you two will want to head back to your home in Winterfell." Vidav said. "Of course, if there is any more of the city you would like to see, then feel free to go. Just be careful going towards buildings with guards posted."

"We will." Jon assured the Overworlder as he began to leave.

He turned to Robb.

"Well, ready to go back?"

"In a minute." Robb said, holding his scanner up. "I want to get a location scan as well."

"Good idea." Jon said, pulling out his own as they scanned the building itself.

"Alright then, now you ready?" Jon asked as the location was entered into the Scanner.

"Yeah. Is it just the same as coming here?" Robb asked.

Jon nodded "Basically, let me show-"

An explosion suddenly struck the building.

Jon and Robb were both sent flying by the force, but a bookshelf broke there fall, and they crumbled down to the ground.

"Robb? You okay?" Jon asked, unable to hear his own voice for a few moments, and reaching out to his brother. Robb nodded, having guessed what Jon was asking.

"Were in!" A voice boomed. Jon and Robb pulled themselves closer to the ground, hiding behind the tipped over shelf.

Peering over the edge, Jon and Robb spotted a tall green creature. He had a shaved head and a large belly, and he wore a simple loincloth and some sort of leather harness around his chest.

'Dardemus.' Jon thought to himself. He only knew him from watching a match at the Port Court.

Dardemus turned back to the hole he just made that had caused the explosion. Several other underworlders came out of the hole.

"Hurry up! Grab everything you can. At least some of it is gonna be useful to Khybon and Ulmar!"

The Underworlders began spreading out, luckily none coming closer to Jon and Robb's location.

Jon looked at Robb. He mouthed that they had to go.

Robb looked at him, and pointed.

Jon followed Robb's finger, and paled.

Their Scanners had landed right by Dardemus' feet.

AN: Out a week early. Now with that cliffhanger to keep you interested, we move on to the next story in the cycle, POKEMON: ICE AND FIRE.

Fairly straightforward chapter I think. But I actually changed quite a bit about my original outline for this. Once I decided to have Vidav show interest in the Human World, that sort of took center stage along with the sudden Underworld attack. Robb's visit to Kiru somewhat mimics Jon's visit to Mipedim Oasis. Only this time he has a sort of guide in Jon.

I also thought to incorporate the Season 2 change of Tribal colored Scanners as an actual plot point, rather than something that is never actually mentioned.

Vidav gives a bit of a rundown on tribal politics and his dreams of peace in Perim. He explains just how difficult peace talks are. He also explains why there is no Overworld Ambassador to the Underworld. Basically they talked to the wrong people politically. And got caught doing so. Burning any bridges they could have had.

We then have Robb and Jon give Vidav a bit of a history and culture lesson on Westeros. I may do things like this later, as I do believe that the higher wisdom creatures would be very interested in what life is like for Humans in their homes. For now, they just gave him the basics of their lives and histories. As payment, he gives them a mugic that is worthless in Perim, but very useful in the Game.

Then they find themselves in the middle of a warzone.

With this, we move on.

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter, I wish you luck in all your future endeavors.
