Chapter 20
GREETINGS MORTALS BLAH! I AM LORD ZAYDEN STORMVOID THE FIRST, RULER AND WATCHER OF THIS EXPANSE OF THE MULTIVERSE, BRINGING YOU ANOTHER CHAPTER OF WELCOME TO THE MCU AND WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY AND SPOOKY HALLOWEEN BLAH! Since its unlikely that I will release another chapter for this story by then.
Horrible Dracula impersonation aside, this chapter was actually something I wanted to release sooner, but during the end of September, whilst working on My Hero Pokedamia, I caught a bit of a cold or fever, nothing serious, just a little case of the sniffles and headaches, so I had to put myself on hold for a bit and relax. Thankfully, I'm all good now. I also spent time watching the recent movie Venom Let there be Carnage, awesome, hilarious movie btw, and with plans to watch Halloween Kills.
But back to the story, last time was the beginning of the long awaited Avengers, with Izuku Rogers suffering through PTSD and Setsuna and the group semi-apologizing for their anger towards no-spoiler Izuku, Monoma wishing he could hide as his evil counterpart goes on a rampage, Hitoshi's counterpart getting brainwashed, ironically, Melissa worrying over her brainwashed father, and the introductions of Midnight as this world's Maria Hill and Jurota's counterpart being the Incredible Hulk.
And now we will continue with this second part of four, where the tension will really start to climb. But before the ensuing awkwardness and trauma , let's answer some reviews:
Kal-A: I might be able to add the Hulk Smash, though I debating whether to have it after the 'I'm always angry' line since I'm worried that it might ruin the scene. The jealousy of the girls will be more or less sorted out in the interlude chapter after I finish Avengers or the interlude chapter following after that and the two movies in between them. I have heard about it through What If through clips on Youtube and I found it meh really, I don't know, again the appeal of the MCU, alternate universes or not, has pretty much died out, so I didn't really care when it came out or nor payed much attention. I do know that the T'Challa as Star Lord episode was a nice send off to Chadwick, which is nice, but send off or not it didn't change, or should be used as a shield from criticism, that he kind of was a Gary Stu throughout the whole episode. I get that he would be a better fighter and technician than Quill since he came from Wakanda, but the able to make Yondu work for him and convince Thanos to be a good guy and work for him just because of a talk, seemed pretty far fetched. The zombie, Dr. Strange, and Ultron episodes were pretty cool, and the Thor one where he put Captain Marvel off her high pedestal was a treat.
grilledmonkey: Interesting suggestions. I likely won't put all that stuff about Cap and Stark, since it would take a while and be a bit off tangent with what I got planned, but that's some good observation and insight. Actually, I have to thank you, your comment made me remember that holocaust survivor thing and work on it, so thanks.
Black cross0: Shinsou and Yui is a pair that I don't really anybody has explored but I found interesting. Both are different kinds of silent, blunt, and introverted individuals, one that is more anti-social and the other less so. Plus, I have plans for Yui that fit with this ship. As for Black Widow movie, if I get enough people clamoring to do it, I might, but on the sequel story to this one, which is what I will likely do with WandaVision, FATWS, and Far From Home. Unfortunately, I don't I'm creative enough to make a completely different story about Budapest, even my creative imagination has limits.
RayvenShade: My decision to omit the Other's counterpart was actually because I didn't give him one. The guy dies the next time we see him by Ronin so there's not much to talk about him or waste limited characters on, although I have one person that I might use if I get more pleads to give him one. Iida was a close call for Hulk, alongside Sato and Tokoyami, but Shishida just took the cake in the end. If the X-Men and Beast were in the MCU I would have had Jurota be Beast, but since they aren't and I'm liking never to cover the MCU past Phase 3 and maybe the Disney+ shows and No Way Home, then no harm no foul.
FShield96: Oh, then Happy late birthday to you too. And since, spoilers for a certain movie that came out a few weeks ago, it seems you may have predicted he would come. Whether it would be Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, remains to be seen. Ending as the Other sounds intriguing, and I will think about it.
Villain soul16: Don't worry, if I were ever to cancel these stories, I will make sure to tell you guys with an author's note, but again, not going to happen. The Loki being brainwashed by Thanos and the Mind stone is something that I have working on and you will see. As for Slide n Go for Crossbones, interesting...very interesting.
Oh and thanks all of you guys for the Happy Birthday's!

And, as always, I don't own My Hero Academia, owned by Horikoshi and Bones Studioes, I give their Season 5 a 7out of 10, or the MCU, the property/milked corpse of Disney, Marvel, and Sony, though I hope No Way Home is great, and don't take credit for the movies, that credit belonging to the awesome actors and actresses, and Cheese Larson, the directors, and studios and all their hard workers.
Now Fire up the Music and Let's Rock and Roll
Mischief
Third POV
Fancy violin music played as the inside of the building showed a gathering of fancily dressed individuals conversing among each other. Meanwhile, back with Izuku, he walked into a room where there was his new uniform on display, his Vibranium Shield with it.
"So that's Muscles's new suit." Mei spoke, zooming in on the suit. "Hmm, more colorful than his previous suit. Kinda the opposite of how Muscles own costumes evolved."
"Really?" Melissa asked. "What did it look like again?"
"It looked like Deku was a green rabbit." Uraraka chuckled at the memory. "Not too flashy, and honestly kinda adorable."
While the girls giggled among themselves, God received a third request to have the ground swallow them whole to escape such embarrassment. Sadly for the green bean, no ground opened up to swallow him whole.
The scene shifted to the outside of a facility, guarded by heavy security. A guard at the top of a building heard the whoosh of an arrow flying and striking something, looking down to see his fellow guard below with an arrow in his chest and falling to the ground dead. The guard stood ready and looking around, only for another arrow to fly out of nowhere and strike him in neck, causing the guard to fall off the building dead.
Shinsou's eyes flinches and looked away, hissing in anger and disgust at what he did. Against his true will or not, his counterpart now truly had blood on his hands. When he felt the pull of Black Whip on his wrist and looked down to its wielder, looking at him with silent, determined green eyes, Shinsou sighed and relented, nodding and smiling slightly in thanks.
Music still played as the shot of the Quinjet flew through the cloudy night sky. Barton walked past the dead corpses and met up with a group of his men towards a locked door, locked by an retinal scanner.
"So there are trying to steal the Iridium from whatever lab that is." Mirio said as he inspected the scene. "But it looks like that door is locked behind some kind of scanner. I think its perhaps a retinal scanner."
"How did you know, Mirio?" Izuku asked.
"Barton said that to get what they want they needed a distraction and an eyeball." Mirio answered, frowning in disgust at the mention of the latter requirement. "Seeing as they are raiding a building, likely for the Iridium or something else to get to the Iridium, and that door has a scanner, the latter requirement of an eyeball starts to make sense."
"So are they going to kidnap someone and force to open it?" Kirishima asked.
"Probably." Fat Gum replied, frowning. "Hopefully."
The music kicked up dramatically as Loki walked on the second floor of the hall in formal attire including black dress pants, a black tux, a white dress shirt with an outline of yellow and poison green suspenders, and the Scepter in his hand, disguised magically as a cane with a glowing rock.
"Hey that kind of is like your Hero costume, Mono-oh." Kosei said before stopping himself. "S-Sorry."
"I-It is alright, Tsuburaba." Monoma replied, though his unseen eyes, shadowed by his hair, and visible frown said otherwise.
He walked down the steps towards the crowd, his sights set on Dr. Schafer, who was currently speaking to an audience.
"Who's that guy?" Kamakiri asked.
"Remember that tablet that Barton had when he showed Mr. Shield, or I mean Mr. Selvig, about the Iridium?" Setsuna pointed out. "It had a photo of an old guy who looked to be relevant to the Iridium. A Dr. Schafer is I recall. I guess he's the guy who has that retinal access to the Iridium and the one they are going to capture."
"Wow, that was some nice observation, Set-I mean, Tokage!" Izuku blushed as he accidentally said her counterpart's nickname. "I missed that detail, honestly."
"T-Thanks Izu-I mean Midoriya!" Setsuna likewise blushed at the mistake, and for her for nickname.
'Huh, Midoriya didn't congratulate me and my analysis. I wonder why-' Mirio pondered curious, before seeing the blushes on both Setsuna and Midoriya. The 3rd year students smiled mischievously. 'Oh! I see! Midoriya is quite the ladies man! I think Nejire has some competition.' While quite oblivious towards things like romance or attractions, he wasn't an idiot not to notice his close friend's growing crush towards their junior.
"Well, even if he is the guy they need to kidnap, it will be rather difficult to abduct him in the middle of a gathering like that." Kamui said. "At least without gathering attention."
"Somehow, I don't think that's what Loki has in mind." Mount Lady voiced her opinion.
Loki walked up behind a security guard, flipping his cane around and grabbing the bottom of it and smacking the whirling guard in the face. The crowd gasped as Dr. Schafer turned to the commotion only to be grabbed by the neck and dragged by Loki towards the center lion sculpture, flipping him on his back to the flat surface. Loki brought out from his coat a weird looking device, pressing a button and the three dagger-like points stuck out, the device whirring. Meanwhile, Hawkeye brought out a similar device and planted it on the retinal scanner, the end different compared Loki's.
"Wait...no. No that's not what I think it is, is it?" Awase questioned, his face growing more horrified and grossed out.
The same thought spread, along with the looks of horror and disgust, the former emotion especially on Monoma. Midoriya and Mirio were quick to cover a protesting Eri and Kouta's eyes.
Hawkeye pressed a button on his device, Loki's device opening up more with a spinning claw. Without hesitation, Loki plunged the device into the man's eye, the crowd gasping and running away at the sight in horror. Loki watched them flee with amusement and mad glee, all the while the sounds of crunching and squelching were heard, yet uncaring to the demigod.
"Oh my god." Kyouka gaped in horror.
"Despicable." Momo covered her mouth in disgust. Mina and Hagakure beside her gagging, repulsed.
All Might's hands clenched so tightly that they turned pale. 'Brother! Please stop this madness!' He thought pleadingly.
Monoma felt close to hurling himself at his actions. He barely registered the comforting hand of Itsuka, but appreciated it none the less.
"What the hell is happening?!" Uraraka exclaimed, horrified.
Meanwhile, back with Hitoshi, the device created a holographic recreation of an eyeball, the system recognizing the eye as Dr. Schafer's and unlocked the door.
"The device that Loki and Barton are using appears to be copying and projecting a holographic imaging of the scientist's eye...by extracting it forcefully." Mei answered, herself disgusted at the horrible machine and its horrible use.
"It appears he was honest when he said they needed an eyeball." Tokoyami muttered, eyes narrowed in disgust.
Hitoshi went inside and was seen lifting and taking the Iridium.
"The Iridium." Endeavor said. "It appears they got their prize."
As the crowd of people fled out, Loki stalked towards them, his figure glowing and shifting in golden light till the God of Mischief was decked in his golden armor, horned helmet, and green cape, the Scepter turning into its staff form. Outside, Loki's form shimmered into existence, the people escaping fleeing from him and into a crowd of people. Police sirens were heard, Loki turning to see a police car racing towards him, his response being firing a bolt of blue energy, the car flipping.
The crowd of people attempted to flee, only for a clone of Loki to appear in their path. They tried to flee from the other way, their path blocked by another Loki, and a third forming by the back, the four Loki's trapping the civilians in the square.
"Shit. He's got them all surrounded and trapped." Mandalay cursed.
"But aren't they all just illusions?" Kinoko asked worryingly. "They aren't real, right?"
"But the civilians don't know that." Itsuka responded. "To them, he could simply have cloned himself and would attack them if they tried anything."
"And even if they tried to run past, they saw how Loki fired a bolt of energy." Yui added. "And if they tried it anyway, the real Loki could always do that as well."
"Kneel before me." Loki demanded, the civilians panicking and scrambling for an exit. "I said" Loki slammed the bottom of the Scepter to the ground, it and the other three's Scepter's glowing blue. "KNEEL!"
The civilian froze in fear, complying and kneeling down before the demigod, to Loki's pleasure.
"Is not this simpler?" Loki asked to them, walking into the crowd and passing by their kneeling forms. "Is this not your natural state?" He waved his Scepter towards them. "Its the unspoken Truth of Humanity, that you Crave Subjugation. The bright lure of Freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for Power, for Identity." He stopped by the center of the crowd. "You were made to be ruled. In the end, You will Always Kneel."
"He's insane." Mineta whimpered, terrified.
"What I hate more about it is that he's half right." Hawks spoke up. "While not everyone is like that, there's no denying that there are those who are independent and those who are followers, and followers that desire a cause or person to get behind." His thoughts turned to the thousands of the Meta Liberation Army; ironically, an army of soldiers that seek complete freedom for the sake of power, identity, or satisfaction, who most didn't bat an eye when their new leader was a wanted criminal and murderer that murdered many of their comrades.
An old man a few yards away from Loki slowly stood up and faced the God of Mischief. "Not to men like you." He said defiantly.
Loki chuckled. "There are no men like me." He retorted.
"There are Always men like you." The old man retorted back.
"What a brave man." All Might smiled, inspired. "His words could not be more truer and braver."
"By his accent, age, and that number branding on his arm, he appears to be a Holocaust survivor." Nezu pointed out. "I am sure that you all can see what he means by his last line."
The nods and frowns, both angry and sad, were the group's response, as well as their greater respect for the brave, old man.
Loki's smile faltered for a second, clear anger peaking out from his eyes. "Look to your elder, people." Loki said, raising and aiming the Scepter towards him as it glowed. "Let him be an example."
"No no no no no!" Monoma yelled, his words repeated by the rest of the students.
"Stop!" All Might exclaimed, almost jumping out of his seat.
Loki fired the bolt of energy, but before it could hit the man, a figure in blue jumped down and a familiar red, white, and blue starred shield blocked and reflected the bolt back onto Loki, the God of Mischief falling to the ground from his own blast.
"YES!" The students cheered and sighed, relieved.
Captain America rose to his feet in his new uniform. The uniform seemed to be a mix between his suit in his shows and his war suit. It was mostly blue, the stomach of the same red and white stripes and the silver star on his chest. Silver bands were on his shoulders, the area of his biceps white and his hands and wrists clothed in red gloves. His legs were likewise blue with red boots for his feet and a silver and blue belt around his waist, and covering his head was a blue helmet, with a white A on the forehead and silver wings by the sides. And strapped to his right arm was his trusty shield, its shine pristine and flawless as ever.
"Oooh, nice suit, Midobro!" Kirishima clapped and nodded in approval. "And what a Manly save!"
"Pffft, Deku, you look so dorky!" Uraraka gaffed in laughter.
"Eh?!" Deku questioned, blushing.
"S-Sorry Green, but that suit is kind of a bit flashy and dorky for my taste." Kyouka chuckled as she ate a piece of popcorn. "Kind of like your first suit."
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Bakugou burst out laughing. "DEKU! YOU LOOK SO RIDICULOUS! AHAHAHAHA!"
"Hey, don't listen to them, Zuzu! I think it looks adorable!" Nejire patted the blushing teen's head, which only furthered in embarrassment. "And it really highlights your butt well."
Many of the group spit out their drinks at the last part of Nejire's comment. The guys either burst out into full blown laughter, like Sero, Mirio, and Kaminari, tried coughing up the last of the drinks they nearly choked on, like Amajiki, Tetsutetsu, and Kamakiri, or looked towards Midoriya's ass, by pure curiosity, and immediately regretted it, trying to wipe the image from their eyes, mostly Kouta and Bakugou. The girls were likewise the same, with Momo performing the Heimlich maneuver on Kyouka, who was choking on her popcorn, Mina, Hagakure, and Setsuna fell out of their seats laughing, Uraraka and Melissa blushing up a storm, and Mei and Asui inspecting Midoriya's ass, and nodding in approval.
The rest of the 1-B girls likewise inspected out of curiosity. Both Itsuka and Ibara both looked away immediately, one proclaiming that the act was shameful, and both wanting not to give Tetsutetsu and Bakugou, respectively, any sort of misunderstanding. Kinoko blushed heavily and covered her eyes, Kuroiro noticing and frowning in displeasure. Reiko and Yui would both do the same yet nod in agreement to Nejire's words, the latter of which was noticed by Shinsou who didn't why he was suddenly feeling like punching Midoriya. Pony blushed as well though strangely found herself comparing Rogers's ass to Todoroki's.
The adults were much the same, with immature laughter coming from Mic and Hawks, blushing and perverse looks from Miruko, Mount Lady, and Pixie Bob, rapid blushes from Ryukyu, Mandalay, and Thirteen, giggling from Midnight and Ragdoll, groaning from Endeavor and Aizawa, chuckles from Snipe, Nezu, Tsukauchi, and Power Loader, and a proud, fatherly smile on All Might's face from the attention that Midoriya was receiving from the female population.
All the while, Deku had the extreme urge to slam and bury his head into the ground, like an ostrich.
"I agree with Young Hado, Young Midoriya." All Might proclaimed in his buff state. "Quite a patriotic and inspiring hero suit for your counterpart."
"Says the one who wore a similar suit." Aizawa pointed out. All Might debuffed and coughed blood.
"You know, the last time I was in Germany," Rogers said as he walked down the steps as the people looked to him in awe. "And saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing."
"Is he talking about Hitler or Schmidt?" Kaminari asked.
"Is there really a difference?" Sero responded with a question.
"The Soldier." Loki growled out, getting up to his feet. "The Man Out of Time."
"I'm not the one who's out of time." Izuku replied.
"Oooh! Nice comeback, Midoriya!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed. "That was Badass and Manly!"
"T-Thanks." Izuku thanked.
Melissa noticed Izuku's hands drifting towards his pencil and notebook. "You're going to write that comeback down to use yourself, aren't you?" Melissa asked, eyebrow raised and knowing smirk on her face.
"...Yes." Izuku answered honestly, much to the chagrin and laughter of the students.
On cue, the Quinjet flew and hovered above, Black Widow on the controls and flipping a switch. A mounted gun popped out of the bottom of the ship and aimed towards Loki. "Loki, drop the weapon and stand down." Romanoff demanded over the PA.
"Nice entrance and timing, Uraraka." Mina complemented.
"Thanks, Mina." Uraraka thanked.
Loki responded by quickly firing another bolt of energy at the jet, Ochaco veering it away before it could strike. Izuku threw his shield in response at Loki, knocking Loki back a bit, Izuku rushing at the demigod, the shield bouncing back into Rogers's hands. As civilians ran away, Cap punched Loki across the face, the Agsardian's head snapping back at the force. Loki looked back to Captain America, the former surprised at the human's strength and the latter surprised at the demigod taking the hit easily.
"Looks like Rogers and Loki are on equal footing in terms of strength." Tiger pointed out.
"Well one is an alien, or god, or whatever, so it makes sense." Ragdoll replied.
"A wise move to engage Loki quickly." Edgeshot nodded. "Keeps Loki's focus on him while the civilians have a chance to escape."
Loki attacked striking the bottom of the Scepter at Cap, who blocked it with his shield. Loki slashed upward with the blade of the Scepter, pushing the shield upwards, before quickly slamming the bottom of the Scepter onto Izuku's side, sending the super-soldier tumbling away.
Rogers rolled to a stop on his knees, growling frustrated before tossing the shield at Loki again. Loki batted the shield away with the Scepter, while Rogers ran towards Loki. Izuku fired a right jab which Loki dodged and attempted to slash at Izuku with a horizontal slash, Rogers ducking the attack. Loki tried a downward diagonal slash, Izuku ducking the attack and countering with a jab at the side of the demigod. Loki struck back slamming the side of the Scepter onto Izuku's back, sending him flying to the ground.
"Izuku." Setsuna whispered worryingly, her fingers fiddling with her hair nervously.
"Come on man, get up!" Kirishima cheered his classmate on.
Loki advanced on the super soldier, placing the butt of the staff on the recovering man's kneeling form. "Kneel." Loki demanded.
Izuku grabbed the butt and tossed it aside. "Not today!" He exclaimed as he jumped up and roundhouse kicked Loki back.
"Yeah! Go Midoriya!" Kaminari cheered. "Kick his ass!"
"Yes. Quite the admirable resilience, Midoriya." Iida complimented.
"The nerd never was one to stay down." Bakugou whispered out. Little did he know, his whisper was heard by a certain purple-haired girl by her jacks, earning him a suspicious glare from said girl.
Black Widow hovered the jet nearby. "The guy's all over the place." Ochaco said, looking at several Loki clones and unsure which to aim at.
As Loki threw Cap off of him, Ochaco's com picked up a familiar voice. "Agent Romanoff." Katsuki Stark's voice spoke out. "You miss me?" Her Quinjet's PA system was overridden and started playing Shoot To Thrill. Ochaco sighed in exasperation.
"AHAHAHA! Oh classic Bakugou." Sero clapped in approval. "Always one to show up in style."
"Hell Yeah! I'm Here Bitches!" Bakugou bragged.
"Cause I Shoot To Thrill! And I'm Ready To Kill!" Izuku and Loki looked up to see Iron Man fly towards them. "And I Can't Get Enough And I Can't Get My Fill! Cause I" Katsuki fired a repulsor blast, striking at Loki's chest and sending him to the ground, before Katsuki landed in a crouch. "Shoot To Thrill! Ready to Kill!" Iron Man got up and aimed his left outward fist and backed up palm towards Loki, multiple of his weapons primed and ready to fire. "Make your move, Reindeer Games." Iron Man said.
"SO MANLY!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu exclaimed loudly.
"Reindeer Games?" Pony questioned confused.
"His horns." Itsuka pointed out the horns on Loki's helmet.
"Oh!" Pony nodded, understanding.
"Oh Come on! You of all people should have known what I meant by that, Horns!" Bakugou yelled at the horned 1-B student.
He paused as he noticed the girl's whimpering, the glare of the 1-B girls, and 1-A as well, and, most worryingly, Ibara's disapproving glare. Bakugou's eyes twitched for a split second before looking away. "S-S-Sorry." The proud teen muttered/choked out the apology.
"I'm still not used to Bakugou apologizing." Kaminari whispered to Mineta. "Its like if Midoriya suddenly started acting the player he is."
"Face it, Shiozaki's got his balls wrapped around her little finger." Mineta whispered back. "Maybe they are even small enough for her to do that."
Unfortunately, their whispering was not quite enough for a fuming Bakugou to overhear and explode at them, literally.
Loki looked up to see Iron Man and the Quinjet aiming down at him, Captain America joining Iron Man's side. Loki's golden armor shimmered gold and faded, leaving Loki in his regular attire and raised his hands in surrender.
"Good move." Katsuki said, retracting his weapon back.
"HA!" Bakugou laughed out. "Take that, Shitty Deku! You struggled your ass against the guy, but one blast from me and he's already surrendering!"
Izuku simply rolled his eyes fondly and let the teen brag. Though the lack of response only infuriated the ash-blonde teen and tried bragging more and louder to get a response.
"Mr. Stark." Rogers greeted, his gaze focused on Loki.
"Captain." Stark greeted back.
"Oooh and now Midobro and Bakubro have met here too." Kirishima pointed out. "Glad to see your friend, right Bakubro?"
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY SHOULDER, SHITTY HAIR!" Was Bakugou's response.
The Quinjet flew through the cloudy night sky. "Is he saying anything?" Aizawa asked through the coms.
"Not a word." Black Widow responded as she and her co-pilot flew the Quinjet.
"Just get him here." Aizawa ordered, a helmetless and maskless Izuku and Katsuki standing near the cockpit and looking towards the handcuffed Loki, sitting at the back seats of the Quinjet. "We're low on time."
Izuku and Katsuki looked at the silent Loki. Izuku huffed and looked to the front of the Quinjet. "I don't like it." Izuku said.
"What, Rock of Ages giving up so easily?" Katsuki questioned.
"I don't remember it being That easy." Rogers responded, looking back at Loki, suspicious. "This guy packs a wallop."
"Yeah...that was rather easy." Itsuka said, suspicion clear in her eyes.
Nezu narrowed his eyes. Rubbing his chin, the rat principal recalled Barton's requirements for them to get the Iridium, an eyeball and a distraction. His tail shot up as he put two and two together.
"Well still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow." Stark replied, looking to Izuku, and the super-soldier at him.
"Oh yeah, it still weird that Midoriya and Bakugou look the same but Midoriya is almost the same age as Bakugou's dad." Sero pointed out.
Both Midoriya and Bakugou were likewise weirded out by the fact and decided to try and leave it at the back of their minds.
"What's your thing, Pilates?" Stark asked.
"What?" Rogers questioned.
"Its like calisthenics." Katsuki clarified. "You might have missed a couple things, you know, doing time as a Capsicle."
"Pfft, Capsicle." Kamakiri chuckled out. "That's a good one."
Izuku stared silently at the armor-suited billionaire with a cold stare. "Aizawa didn't tell me he was calling you in." Izuku spoke.
"Yeah, there's a lot of things Aizawa doesn't tell you." Katsuki responded with a shrug.
"True." Izuku said.
"Accurate. Ribbit." Asui nodded.
"Pretty much." Mina agreed.
"Absolutely." Momo nodded too.
"Really?" Itsuka asked.
"First day of class, you wonder why we weren't at Orientation?" Kyouka asked.
Class 1-B nodded, their thoughts on Class 1-A's absence that day both a constant question in their minds they forgot to bring up, and the spark that led Monoma to be convinced that 1-A felt themselves superior, a thought that was slightly considered by more of his classmates during the aftermath of the USJ.
"Instead of going to the Orientation, Mr. Aizawa made us do a Quirk Apprehension Test." Asui explained. "He then threatened to expel the person who came in last place."
The eyebrows of 1-B's students shot upwards in sheer surprise and shock at 1-A's brutal teacher and his methods, internally relieved that they had Vlad King as their homeroom teacher.
"Thankfully, it turns out that it was merely a ruse, otherwise Izuku would have been expelled." Momo revealed.
As this once more shocked 1-B, the one who took the most shock, and fear, was Setsuna. She witnessed how strong Izuku was in his team's battle against Monoma's in the Joint Training Exercise, from his strength, agility, and the emergence of Black Whip. So for Setsuna, and her classmates, to imagine that the green-haired teen, who was among the strongest of Class 1-A, alongside Bakugou and Todoroki, to have been last place and nearly expelled was almost unthinkable, and had Setsuna's heart jump in fear at the thought that she would likely have never met Izuku if Aizawa's threat wasn't false.
"So you haven't told them that you were serious about expelling the last place, huh?" Midnight questioned the spoken about teacher.
"There would be no point in bringing it up." Aizawa replied. "They already know that I take my threats seriously and won't hesitate to expel them should they fall behind and not put in the effort."
"But still, you did expel your whole class last year. So what made you keep Midoriya?" Midnight asked. "I can't imagine it was because he's cute."
Aizawa looked at his green-haired student and how far he had progressed from breaking his fingers constantly. "Potential." Aizawa simply said.
Thunder rumbled outside, clouds growing closer and thicker with white-blue lightning arcing off outside in the sky. "Where's this coming from?" Ochaco questioned as she looked outside.
Izuku perked up in interest. 'Sudden thunder and lightning?' Izuku questioned internally. 'It could just be a random storm but...there's no rain...and Loki is with them...Could it be...' Izuku looked towards Melissa, who likewise looked to him, eyes wide and thinking exactly the same as him.
A loud rumble of thunder sounded, the Quinjet shaking a bit from turbulence. Izuku and Stark looking out side till Izuku looked towards Loki, to see him looking out as well, a worried look on his once emotionless face.
"What's the matter?" Izuku asked. "Are you scared of little lightning?"
"I'm not overly fond of what follows." Loki replied truthfully.
"Hold up, hold up." Kaminari threw his hands out, his smile growing excited. "Do you guys think what I'm thinking?"
"Usually no because we aren't idiots." Kyouka retorted. "But this time, I think we are."
While Izuku and Katsuki stared at each other in confusion, a figure zoomed towards the Quinjet and landed on the top of the ship. The ship shook from the impact, all four characters standing and sitting straight in alarm. Lightning flashed and illuminated the hidden figure to reveal the figure to be Thor.
"ITS THOR!" The students cheered in excitement and surprise. The adults smiled at the Symbol of Peace's counterpart's appearance, none more so than All Might himself, pleased to see that his counterpart had joined the fray and hoping he was here to stop Loki's madness.
"But wait, how is he here?" Nejire asked. "I thought that Thor couldn't come to Earth again because he destroyed the Bifrost?"
"That's a good point, Nejire." Ryukyu said pondering. "Could they have rebuild the Bifrost?"
"Maybe." Snipe said. "Thor's folks seem to have a mix of magic and science in their civilization, so who knows what they could do and not do?"
Katsuki grabbed his helmet and quickly placed it on, the eyes lighting up in white light. While Ochaco steadied the ship and Izuku put on his mask, Katsuki marched over and opened the bay doors.
"What are you doing?" Izuku questioned.
As he finished the question, Thor flew in and landed inside. Loki stared at Thor with wide alarm and hints of fear. Stark raised his hand towards the approaching Thor, the hum of his repulsor blast charging up. Thor slammed the top of his hammer onto Stark's chest, sending the Iron Man flying back towards Izuku, the two landing on their backs with a grunt.
Thor reached out and grabbed the cuffed Loki, his large strong hand around his neck. He switched the hand to God of Mischief's shoulders, turned to the outside and flew out with Loki.
"The hell just happened?!" Mineta screeched. "He just took Loki?!"
"Perhaps Thor wishes to take Loki to Asgard immediately." Jurota replied. "He is rather rash and impulsive."
"You Idiot!" Gran Torino yelled smacking a cowering All Might upside the head. "Always strike first, ask questions later with you! Does every version of your even have a brain?!"
Ochaco looked back with surprise as Katsuki got up. "And now there's that guy." Stark sighed.
"Another Asgardian." Romanoff questioned.
"That guy's a friendly?" Rogers asked further.
"Well he said last time he was on Earth that he was their ally, so yeah I would assume so." Sen said.
"Doesn't matter." Katsuki said, looking back before marching to the open bay doors. "If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract's lost."
"Stark, we need a plan of attack!" Cap yelled out.
"I have a plan." Iron Man replied, looking back. "Attack." And with that, Stark flew out of the Quinjet in pursuit.
"That was so Manly!" Kirishima shed manly tears, raised fist clenched hard and shaking.
"Typical 'Kacchan'." Mina sighed and shook her head fondly.
Bakugou replied to the pink-shinned girl with a simple middle finger.
Izuku shook his head before running over and grabbing a parachute. "I'd sit this one out, Cap." Ochaco advised.
"I don't see how I can." Izuku replied, strapping the parachute pack onto him.
"And same old Midoriya." Asui said. "Never one to sit back."
Izuku's embarrassed neck rub and blush was a far more positive and passive response compared to his explosive childhood friend.
"These guys come from legend." Black Widow further advised. "They're basically gods."
"There's only one God, ma'am." Cap replied, grabbing his shield. "And I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that."
"Oh so Midoriya is Catholic, Christian, or Jewish in this world." Itsuka said.
"Given his confirmed Irish-American ancestry, its far more likely the former two." Yui replied.
"You are right, Yui Kodai." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said. "Izuku Rogers is in fact Catholic, coming mostly from his father's side, and later his mother as she was converted, in this universe."
"Interesting." Jurota nodded. "What are your opinions on this, Shiozaki? I'd imagine that you are pleased."
"I am very much pleased and joyous to see another fellow member of my faith." Ibara smile brightly and warmly. "Midoriya, are you perhaps Catholic as well?"
"W-Well, I was never too into religion." Izuku said, scratching his cheek. "But me and my mother do go to Church when we can."
While a little concerned about the implied absences, Ibara kept her thoughts to herself and smiled at Midoriya. "That's wonderful to hear." She replied. "Oh I hope my question wasn't too invasive or personal?"
"No no, not at all." Izuku waved away her concern.
Meanwhile, the guys scooted away from Bakugou as he looked like he would spontaneously erupt into flames, his eyes a comical red and glaring at Izuku, while silently reminding himself to study more on Ibara's religion.
Captain America ran and jumped out of the jet, shield strapped in his left arm, thrusting the shield out and zooming towards the ground.
"Now That was a Manly exit!" Tetsutetsu declared.
Momo agreed with Tetsutetsu, as seeing the handsome, more muscular version of Izuku jumping out a jet and diving towards the screen heroically made the Yaoyorozo heiress waving her hands over her red face.
"And he was directing his weight downward with that thrust to speed himself faster and join the fray quicker." All Might analyzed. "Smart."
Thor and Loki flew and landed onto a flat mountaintop, Thor tossing Loki onto the ground, harshly. Loki, now cuffless, landed and slid with a groan. That groan quickly morphed into laughter.
"Where's the Tesseract?" All Might's counterpart demanded.
"I miss you, too." Loki chuckled out.
All Might's eyes twitched, Thor's visible impatience spreading to his counterpart. Meanwhile, Monoma squirmed in his seat, awaiting the anger and hatred that he was sure Thor would show towards him.
"Do I look to be in a gaming mood?" Thor yelled out.
"You should thank me." Loki replied, getting back up. "With the Bifrost gone, how much dark energy did the Allfather have to muster to conjure you here, to your precious Earth?"
"Oh so that's how Thor got to Earth." Ojiro said. "I guess that means that Bifrost is still destroyed."
Thor dropped Mjolnir onto to the ground, growling as he marched towards the rising God of Mischief. He dragged him up, his hand around the side of Loki's throat. "I thought you dead." Thor said, a hint of relief in his voice.
Monoma's eyes blinked and stared stunned at the screen at the brotherly love that Thor's eyes and voice still held for his counterpart, rendering him confused.
"Family bonds aren't easily broken." Izuku spoke up, looking to Monoma with understanding eyes. "Its nice to see that you and All Might's counterparts have a strong bond."
Monoma looked at the 1-A student in complete loss. Eventually, he nodded gratefully, while attempting to not look at his classmate's smug and cheesy grins.
"Did you mourn?" Loki replied coldly.
"We all did." Thor replied. "Our father-"
"Your father." Loki corrected, raising a finger up in protest. Loki brushed off Thor's hands from his person. "He did tell you my true parentage, did he not?"
"Oh boy." Honenuki hissed. "Here we go."
Loki began walking down, Thor watching him go before marching after him. "We were raised together." Thor said. "We played together, We Fought Together. Do you remember none of that?"
"I remember a shadow." Loki stopped and turned to face Thor above him. "Living in the shade of your greatness."
"Now, I think I know why Loki is Monoma in this world." Itsuka said, looking over at her blonde friend. "Don't you, Monoma?"
Monoma frowned. The zealous member of 1-B frowned, remembering the jeers and taunts from his life before U.A., all those who thought that he couldn't be a Hero, much less a Heroic one, with such a villainous, cheating Quirk, that's useless without others around him. He remembered the jealousy and shadow that he felt, and surely some of his classmates felt, at the attention that Class 1-A received after the USJ incident, them being seen as superstars and special ones, while he and his class were second fiddle. He remembered the humiliation he tried to bury at being the only member of Class 1-B to take remedial summer classes after failing the Final Exams. He remembered fighting hard at the Sports Festival, at 1-B's Pro Hero Licensing Exam, and the Joint Training Exercise to try and stand out, prove himself, surpass Class 1-A, to do everything to not be a side character of someone else's story.
Monoma realized that he wasn't the only him who felt that way.
Endeavor frowned too, remembering the despair and hopelessness he always felt at the wide gap between himself and All Might, all the desperate acts he did to achieve his goals, from forcing his wife into a Quirk marriage, pressuring and discarding Touya and his...his death, the trauma he inflicted on Fuyumi and Natsuo, and the pain and abusive training he inflicted on Shoto. All because he was constantly in someone else's shadow.
Endeavor found that he wasn't the only one to be stuck under such a shadow.
"I remember you tossing me into an abyss." Loki continued more vehemently. "I, who was, and Should Be, King!"
"Hold up, Hold up!" Mount Lady protested. "Thor didn't drop him in anything! He was holding onto the spear Thor was holding and he let go himself!"
"He could be projecting his frustration and jealousy onto the scene." Mandalay replied.
"Or he's just really salty that Thor ruined his plans to be King and destroy the Giant world." Pixie Bob said.
"So you take the world I love as recompense for your imagined slights." Thor questioned, marching towards an aghast Loki. "No. The Earth is under My protection, Loki."
Loki laughed. "And you're doing a Marvelous job with that." Loki laughed out sarcastically. "The humans slaughter each other in droves while you idly fret. I need to Rule Them, as why should I not?"
"So he truly wishes to rule the Earth because he doesn't like how humans are left to their own devices." Tokoyami said.
"Well, can you blame him for having such a low opinion of us?" Shoji replied. Tokoyami nodded in agreement.
"You think yourself above them?" Thor asked.
"Well, yes." Loki replied, as if that was obvious, but also unsure.
"Then you miss the truth of ruling, brother." Thor walked closer, brotherly concern in his eyes. "A throne would suit you ill."
"A king or leader who only sees himself above his subjects rules only for himself." Nezu sagely said.
Nods of agreement went around the gym; however, Endeavor and Bakugou both paused and narrowed their eyes in wondering.
All Endeavor wanted was to be the best of the best, to surpass All Might and be Number 1. He wished and fought hard for this goal that it cost him his wife, the love of his sons, his daughter burdened and saddened, his firstborn...gone, a loving family. And when he finally became Number 1, he realized the fear of uncertainty in the people's eyes, the Society of Peace that the Symbol of Peace built crumbling around him. And upon his talk with All Might and his time training Shoto did he finally realize his path was wrong, and now strove to be his own Symbol, to put his duty, lives and safety of the people he has sworn to protect first and foremost, as well as give his family a happily life.
As for Bakugou, he couldn't help but think back to his proclamation that fateful day when the Sludge Villain attacked him. "I'm going to surpass All Might and be the Richest Hero of All Time!" Thinking on who he was made the explosive teen frown and curl his lips in disgust. All his life he strove to be the best of the best, to be like All Might, but along the way, he realized he never saw what All Might was truly about, not like how the nerd saw. To be a Pillar of Justice and Peace. To save the innocent and stop the bad guys. To inspire and feel safe. Looking at who he was and what he could have been, Bakugou realized that the frog girl may have been right when she said that he wouldn't have become popular, not as he was then.
Bakugou clenched his fist and looked up determined. 'Whoever I was doesn't matter now, I'm still going to become Number 1.' Bakugou declared in his mind. 'As a Hero who always wins,' He looked towards Deku. 'And saves everyone.'
Loki growled, teeth bared, pushing aside Thor as he walked up the mountaintop to the peak. "I've seen worlds you've never known about!" Loki yelled, whirling around to face a pursuing Thor. "I have grown, Odinson, in my exile."
All Might flinched at the name Loki called him and the venom behind it, feeling the rejection of their brotherhood in Loki's voice.
"I have seen the true power of the Tesseract." Loki warned. "And when I wield it-"
"Who showed you this power?" Thor questioned, interrupted the ranting Loki. "Who controls the would-be king?"
"I Am A King!" Loki roared.
"Not Here!" Thor roared back, grabbing onto Loki's shoulders. "You Give Up The Tesseract! You Give Up This Poisonous Dream!" Thor turned soft and placed his hands over Loki's neck, his face morphing to sadness and yearning. "You come home."
The girls cooed sadly at Thor's plead to his brother. Monoma gripped his seat and begged for his counterpart to come to his sense and return home, just as much as All Might likewise begged.
Loki grew silent, his eyes watered. His frown turned to a sinister smile. "I don't have it." Loki answered honestly.
"Fuck." Monoma cursed.
Thor huffed, releasing Loki and thrusting his right hand to his side, Mjolnir flying out from the ground and landing on Thor's hand, the God of Thunder raising the hammer high in warning.
"You need the Cube to bring me home." Loki declared. "But I've sent it off, I know not where."
"Why would they need the Cube to back to Asgard?" Hagakure asked. "Couldn't Thor's dad bring them back the same way he brought Thor to Earth?"
"Loki mentioned that Odin used a likely large amount dark energy to transport Thor to Earth and perhaps this exhausted Odin to where he can't bring them back." Todoroki replied.
"Additionally, Odin probably can't tell where Thor is because they are likely lightyears away from each other." Jurota pointed out. "And without the Bifrost, the Tesseract may be the only way to bring them home, since it has the potential to transport individuals through space."
Thor raised Mjolnir towards Loki. "You listen well, brother." Thor started to warn. "I-"
Thor was cut off as Iron Man crashed into him and sent them both flying off, leaving Loki at the mountaintop. "I'm listening." Loki said.
While the group was shocked for a moment, most of them couldn't help but explode in laughter at the comedic cut off and Loki's quip.
Iron Man flew towards the woods and tossed Thor towards the ground, Thor tumbling to a stop while Stark landed on his feet a few feet away. Thor got up, hammer in hand, while Katsuki opened the faceplate of his helmet, showing his face.
"Don't touch me again." All Might's counterpart warned.
"Then don't take my stuff." Katsuki warned back.
"Why do I feel like these two are going to fight?" Kaminari asked.
"Well one is an impulsive hothead and the other one is Bakugou." Mineta replied, causing more laughter.
"You have no idea what you're dealing with." Thor warned again.
"Uh, Shakespeare in the Park?" Katsuki said, looking between Loki atop and Thor. "Doth Mother know you wear-eth her drapes?" Stark questioned dramatically.
"Oh my God! HAHAHAHA! That's hilarious!" Setsuna held her sides in laughter.
"Comedy gold!" Mina proclaimed, smiling and clapping her hands slowly.
"This is beyond you, Metal Man." Thor warned a third time. "Loki will face Asgardian Justice."
"Its Iron Man! Not Metal Man, You Thunderhead!" Bakugou roared out.
"He gives up the Cube, he's all yours. Until then," Iron Man's faceplate closed. "Stay out of the way."
Thor sighed while Stark scoffed. "Tourist." Stark said.
"Maybe he will listen and not-"
A second later, Thor hurled Mjolnir towards the back-turned Katsuki. Katsuki turned back in time to get struck and sent flying by the magic hammer, landing in a pile of branches.
"...Never mind." Kaminari finished.
Katsuki looked towards Thor from his hub. "Okay." Stark said.
Thor recalled his hammer, looking up the cliff to see Loki smiling down at the two with his mischievous grin.
"You idiot!" Recovery Girl smacked All Might this time. "This is not the time to be fighting among yourselves while the fate of the world is at stake. You are allowing for Loki to have a chance to escape."
"I'm Sorry! I'm Sorry!" All might exclaimed. "Can you two just stop hitting me every five minutes?!"
"No!" Gran Torino and Recovery Girl said simultaneously.
Thor spun his hammer around as Stark started getting up. Before the Asgardian could attack again, Iron Man fired a repulsor blast square onto Thor's chest, knocking the Asgardian onto a tree. Katsuki flew towards Thor, kicking the God of Thunder through the tree and tumbling away, Mjolnir flying away from his grip.
"HA! I send All Might flying!" Bakugou bragged. "I'm better than both you And All Might, Deku!"
"First off, Thor is not technically our All Might," Momo spoke up before Deku could speak. "Two, its a little too presumptuous to say that you are better than Thor after one attack or Rogers when you two haven't fought, and three, did you forget our Final Exams during the middle of the year?"
Bakugou's eyes twitched angrily, remembering, unfortunately, how easily he and his stomach contents were sent flying by All Might's blows.
Thor got up, summoning Mjolnir back in hand. He raised the hammer high into the air, thunder rumbling before lightning shot down onto the Uru-forged hammer, electricity crackling around it, while Loki watched on.
"Is he seriously going to shoot lightning at Bakugou?!" Awase exclaimed.
Ibara quickly covered her eyes and fervently prayed for her not-really-not-yet boyfriend.
"While the students worried over the fate of their classmate, the teachers and Heroes frowned.
"He's not running." Mount Lady said. "He could easily just run away while those two fight each other. So why isn't he running?"
"Where is there to run to?" Death Arms asked. "They're in the middle of a forest. Even if he got away, he has no way to contact or meet up with his forces. Plus, I think a god draped in green and gold armor would be easy to spot."
"You forget that he can create illusions and become invisible." Kamui Woods replied. "He could easily blend in with the surroundings or make clones of himself to confuse the heroes. But that also makes it more concerning as to why he isn't running away?"
"Or he could just be staying to watch his brother fight against another Hero." Pixie Bob shrugged.
Thor lowered the hammer towards Stark and fired the lightning from Mjolnir at the armored-warrior. Stark sparked and crackled in electricity and sparks as he was bombarded by lightning. The lightning stopped and Stark still stood, though grunting in discomfort. "Power at 400% capacity." Jarvis informed as the lighting hub dimmed and showed the suit's stats.
"How about that?" Katsuki said with a smirk.
"400%?!" Kaminari exclaimed. "Did he just accidentally powered up Bakugou instead?!"
"The Iron Man suit is powered by electricity and the new element Stark made, and I would figure that shooting a high-tech suit of armor with more electricity would just power it up more." Melissa replied. "The only danger is if Thor continued firing lightning and overloaded the suit."
"Also, I think perhaps Stark has upgraded his baby into absorbing electricity more easily after his battle with Whiplash and his electrical whips." Mei added.
Iron Man retaliated with a unibeam and two repulsor blasts at Thor, blasting the god backwards, but who landed in a crouch. The two stood ready to fight before flying towards each other. Iron Man collided with Thor, flying him through trees and tree branches. They flew out of the forest and towards the mountain. Stark slammed Thor onto the cliffside, dragging him upwards with the rocks crumbling in their way.
"Bakugou's counterpart appears faster than All Might's." Iida deduced. "His thrusters help him fly faster through the air, which could mean that in aerial combat, Stark has the advantage."
Thor threw his fist back, knocking Stark's hand away from him and stunned. He capitalized by standing straight and planted his feet down the cliffside and vaulted the two away from the mountain and back to the woods. The two crash through a large tree, the two separating and tumbling away upon impact with the ground, Thor's hammer flying off as well.
The two groaned as they got up. Thor attacked, punching Stark across his armored face, stunning him temporarily. Stark attempted to punch back, only for Thor grab his armored wrist. Stark tried again with his other one, the fist grabbed by Thor's other hand, the two pushing against the other's strength.
Thor clenched his left hand, the one on Katsuki's wrist, the metal crunching and bending upon the god's strength.
"Unfortunately, Thor is greatly stronger than Iron Man in terms of physical strength, so hand-to-hand combat and grappling is highly unwise." Jurota spoke. "As we see here."
Katsuki grunted as sensors blared in warning. He opened the palm of his left hand and fired a repulsor blast on Thor's face, stunning him and letting him go.
"Phew, he got out." Sero said. "He's as resourceful as ever."
Stark quickly grabbed Thor headbutted him, a weak clang sounded as Thor looked almost unfazed. Thor retaliated with his own headbutt, a louder clang resounding with Stark flying back.
"Oof now that's a headbutt." Mirio flinched in pain before smiling. "I guess that makes sense. Thor is a quite Hard-Headed!"
Cue multiple slaps and groans from the terrible pun and Nejire smacking Mirio's head with a Yaoyorozo-created frying pan in retribution.
Stark tumbled and rolled into a stop, looking back towards Thor and flying towards him. He flew around and grabbed his cloak, pulling and spinning the god around and flinging him onto a tree.
"He used his greater speed to get behind Thor and his momentum to help swing Thor from his cape." Hawks analyzed. "Nice."
Thor got up again and rushed Stark, dodging a left uppercut from the armored hero and countering with a jab to the back, sending Stark to his knees. Thor brought his fist down onto Katsuki's back again, his hands joining his knees on the ground, but not for long as Thor grabbed Iron Man's shoulder, lifted him up over his head and slammed him to the ground on his backside.
With Iron Man on the ground in front of him, Thor called out to Mjolnir, which returned to his hand. He raised the hammer high to strike, Iron Man activated his thrusters and shot forwards, sweeping Thor's legs and knocking him to the ground. Thor got back up as Stark flew back slamming his fist across Thor's face.
"Jeez, this back and forth fight is so awesome!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed. "It would be better if it wasn't two of the good guys."
All Might agreed with the Steel Quirk user's last statement, biting his nails, not because he feared that he would lose, but that he would cause serious damage to his suppose-to-be ally and the counterpart to one of his students. 'Please stop this fighting, you two.' All Might thought pleadingly. 'You're giving Loki a chance to escape.'
Before the two could attack further, they heard a loud "Hey!" A second later, Cap's Vibranium Shield collided with Thor's chest, bounced off, and struck Iron Man's armored chest before ricocheting back to Captain America's hand, the WWII soldier standing above them on a broken log atop a hill. "That's enough!" Izuku called out again.
All Might sighed in relief. 'Thank god for being the constant voice of reason, Young Midoriya.'
"Yeah, Papa!" Eri cheered. "Make Uncle Kacchan and Grandpa All Might stop fighting!"
All Might quickly gripped his clenched heart, trying uselessly to wipe away the tears of pride and joy flowing from his eyes. 'I'm a Grandpa!' He thought joyfully.
Deku meanwhile blushed fiery red, embarrassed while the students around him roared in laughter. Todoroki looked at Eri like she was a godsend. 'Out of the mouth of babes.' Todoroki thought victoriously, looking at the embarrassed Midoriya and joyful, crying All Might in smug victory.
Izuku jumped down from the high log to face the two fighting combatants. "Now, I don't know what you plan on doing here." Izuku continued.
"I've come to put an end to Loki's schemes." Thor declared.
"Then prove it." Rogers replied. "Put that hammer down."
"I have a bad feeling he said the wrong words there." Kyouka said, worried.
"Uh no." Katsuki interrupted. "Bad call. He loves his ham-"
Thor silenced the billionaire hero by smacking him away with a no-look backswing of his hammer, sending Katsuki flying into a pile of branches.
Ibara nearly let out a squeak of aghast, mentally telling herself that Bakugou was fine.
"You want me to put the hammer down?!" Thor questioned loudly. Thor then jumped into the air, sailing towards Midoriya's counterpart, hammer raised high.
"No no no no no no no!" All Might yelled fully terrified.
"Stop! Don't do it, Uncle Might!" Melissa screamed.
"Get out of the way, Deku!" Bakugou yelled.
"Deku!" Uraraka yelled too.
Deku's eyes widened in fear and surprise.
Cap brought the shield up and with a resonating clang, hammer and shield collided. White light flashed, a booming force shot out and blasted back the tress around them. Thor flew backwards, landing on his back in a groan. The debris quickly faded and revealed, Izuku Rogers at the center of the blast wave, shield raised high and unscratched, and the super soldier in one piece.
Jaws dropped in unison. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu straight up fainted at the godly feat of manliness. The girl's faces were filled with delight at Midoriya's survival and burning red, with even the pro heroines fanning their red faces, Miruko going so far as licking her lips in an ear-to-ear grin. While Melissa and Mei were overjoyed that Izuku appeared okay, the two's brains were a chaotic mess, desperately trying to figure out how strong Cap's Vibranium Shield. All Might meanwhile sighed in relief that he didn't straight up destroyed his protege's other self, and smiled proudly at said protege's other self courage, fortitude, and strength.
"Oh. My. God." Uraraka gaped in awe and blushed madly.
"That...was awesome." Kouta managed to speak out of his jaw-dropped astonishment. The group nodded their heads in agreement.
"And the Shield." Momo pointed out, amazed. "There's not even a scratch on it. It got struck with a Mjolnir and there is no scratch."
"And he was at the center of the blast zone, and it looked like he didn't move an inch." Mina said, her pink face flushed entirely purple.
"Captain America is so awesome." Mineta managed to say. "Both he and Midoriya."
Even constant self-deprecating Deku couldn't deny Mineta's words about his counterpart, smiling proudly that he had the honor to be related, multiversal counterpart wise, to this Symbol of Courage.
Setsuna's body shivered in an massive influx of joy and extreme arousal. It took all her willpower to stay in her seat and not immediately grab Izuku and drag him off to a secluded area to ravish him...or just straight up take him right there in front of everyone.
Katsuki groaned as he pushed aside the branches on him and got back up. He looked to his left to see Izuku getting up from his shielded crouch, and then to his right to see All Might's counterpart back on his feet too, all three of them panting.
"Are we done here?" Izuku asked, Thor looking at the two with more subdued, calm stare.
"Hopefully." Rin sighed, relieved.
"Heh, imagine what the kid's mother will react when she finds out you nearly killed her son in this universe?" Gran Torino said.
If All Might could look anymore lifeless then it would be now. "Please Don't Tell Her!" All Might whispered out desperately. "She almost rip me into pieces when she found out about the Final Exams."
"Oh, you mean the one where I barely healed Midoriya's spine from when you catapulted yourself into him?" Recovery Girl asked sarcastically, waking the Symbol of Peace upside the head with her cane again.
"Yes." All Might admitted, shivering as he remembered the Inko's rage, the terror in him easily eclipsing even that of All For One.
The scene changed to the Helicarrier flying through the night, cloudy sky. Inside a group of armed S.H.I.E.L.D. agents leading a recaptured Loki down the brightly lit halls of the Helicarrier.
"He didn't get away at all." Fat Gum said, astounded. "Those three fought for so long, and he didn't even try to escape, didn't he?"
"Didn't even try." Endeavor repeated Fat's words while he rubbed his chin. Suddenly, his face lit up at a realizing thought, recalling Barton's words from before. 'A distraction. Could it be that the attack in Germany and his capture...did he wish to get caught?'
Bruce stared and studied a series of machines before looking up to see the armed contingent escorting Loki, removing his glasses. The God Mischief looked at Banner as he passed by, a knowing, devious smile on his face. Bruce rubbed his eyes, tiredly.
"I do not like that." Pony shook her head. "No no, I do Not like That look."
"You and me both, sister." Setsuna nodded, narrowing her eyes at Loki.
Jurota shivered at Loki's look, worrying that perhaps it wasn't wise for his counterpart to have come aboard.
A door sealed and locked shut behind Loki, Monoma's counterpart taking the time to look at his new cell. he stood in the middle of a cylindrical glass cell, four panels of hard glass around him, a bench in front of one, and separated by walls of steel. It stood in the middle of a large room, a walkway connecting the front of him and circling around. The cell's four corners were latched onto the room and roof by four series of metal clamps. Lights illuminated his cells in a teal-like color.
"So that's his cell?" Sen asked. "Fancy."
"I'm sure that its more than just fancy." Awase said.
Loki tracked Shouta Aizawa as he walked towards a control panel before him. "In case its unclear," Aizawa began as he worked on the panel. "If you try to escape, if you so much as scratch that glass," With a press of a button, the floor below the cell opened up, air whooshing outward towards the night sky and the ground miles below.
Loki looked down curiously at the long drop from the edges of his cell. "Its 30,000 feet, straight down in a steel trap! You get how that works?!" Aizawa shouted through the whooshing air. He pressed a few times at the screen and the opening closed up. "Ant." Aizawa gestured towards Loki. "Boot." He then gestured at the panel.
"Damn." Hawks whistled impressed. "Sounds like something Tartaros would implement."
"Indeed they would." Tsukauchi nodded, recalling All For One's own prison where even a single movement or activation of a Quirk from the Underworld tyrant would turn him into Swiss cheese.
"Heh, and Aizawa referenced what Loki said the last time they met." Mirio pointed out.
Loki chuckled, gesturing around him as he backed up. "Its an impressive cage." He admitted. "Not built I think for me."
"Built for something a lot stronger than you." Aizawa responded.
"Oh, I've heard." Loki replied, looking to his left and spying the camera staring at him, Romanoff watching the feed from the deck, with the rest nearby to hear. "A mindless beast." Loki revealed, Ochaco looking up towards Banner, listening with his arms crossed and blank expression. "Makes play that he's still a man."
"So that cell was originally made for Shishida?" Sato asked.
"If Banner's transformation is so destructive, then a cage tumbling through the sky and likely putting him off balance would be an effective trap and death sentence." Shoji said.
"That is if the fall could kill him." Kuroiro replied.
Shishida looked at the prison made especially for his counterpart and flinched, though what upset him more was that they required such a trap for him to begin with. He was made more upset by Loki's jab at him about being a 'mindless beast'.
Monoma was meanwhile cursing internally, already knowing that his counterpart was only going to make things all the more worse from just those few words. The rest of the Class 1-B likewise felt awkward at the tension.
"How desperate are you," Loki continued mockingly, as Thor, without his cape, and Izuku overhearing too. "That you call on such lost creatures to defend you?"
"How desperate am I?" Aizawa questioned, advancing slowly towards Loki. "You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You have made me Very desperate. You might not be glad that you did."
"Okay yeah, he's mad." Mic muttered. "He's got that same very pissed off Aizawa face."
Aizawa almost aimed his own angry glare at Mic but kept his attention at the screen.
"Ooh." Loki voiced mockingly again, his expression dramatic. "It burns you to have come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what?" Loki turned back towards the camera. "A warm light for all mankind to share." Nemuri watched uneasily through her screen. Loki turned back to Aizawa. "And then to be reminded what Real Power is."
Izuku frowned at Loki's words, his mind flaring in warning and suspicion. 'A warm light for all mankind to share.' Izuku thought. 'That reminds me. What was S.H.I.E.L.D. doing with the Tesseract? Aizawa said that they wanted to harness the Tesseract's unlimited energy, but for what reason and goal?'
Unbeknownst to him, Melissa was thinking along the same train of thought. 'What would a paramilitary, intelligence agency need with unlimited power?' Melissa thought. 'Clean sustainable energy for the world? Or-' Melissa's eyes widened, uneasy, growing worry and fear rising. '-or to power weapons?'
Aizawa smirked for a split moment before he began walking away. "Well let me know if 'Real Power' wants a magazine for something." He replied, leaving Loki alone in his cell, the Asgardian traitor looking at the camera again, wordlessly and menacingly.
As the feed of his cell cut away, Bruce simply said "He really grows on you, doesn't he?"
"Eh not really." Sero replied. "I'm more inclined to tape his mouth shut."
"Loki's gonna drag this out." Rogers said, sitting on one of the chairs around the table. He looked to the pondering Asgardian. "So, Thor, what's his play?"
"He has an army called the Chitauri." Thor answered. "They're not of Asgard nor any world known."
"Wait, how does Thor know about Loki's army?" Kaminari asked.
"From his mother." F.R.I.D.A.Y. answered. "Frigga, Thor's mother, is a sorceress who, during the year between Thor's arrival on Earth and now, used her powers to find Loki and discovered his army and intentions. It was what led Odin and Thor to send him to Earth."
"Oh okay." Kaminari nodded. "Thanks."
"He means to lead them against your people." Thor continued as Nemuri joined them around the table. "They will win him the Earth, in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract."
"An army." Cap said, looking to an uneasy Ochaco. "From outer space."
"So, he's building another portal." Bruce figured out. "That's what he needs David Selvig for."
"It makes sense." Power Loader spoke. "Selvig and Foster are writing and working on the science of wormholes like the Bifrost, so his expertise in building wormholes and portals would come in handy."
David Shield cursed under his breath. 'First, I unintentionally gave my dangerous work to a Villain and endangered my daughter and other lives,' Shield thought, remembering the events of I-Island that he and his former assistant, Sam, orchestrated. 'Now, another brainwashed me is doing it again, helping the Villains and dooming the world now, too.'
"Selvig?" Thor asked worryingly.
"He's an astrophysicist." Bruce clarified.
"He's a friend." Thor clarified himself.
'A friend in my brother's mad clutches.' All Might frowned. 'One who I will save, whatever it may take.'
"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours." Ochaco informed.
Shinsou flinched at the memory of his brainwashing and his recent murders. He felt a hand squeeze his shoulder and turned to see it came from Monoma, of all people. His actual, sincere apologetic eyes shocked the current 1-C student. 'Maybe he's not too bad after all.' Shinsou thought, nodding appreciatingly at the 1-B fanatical student.
"I want to know why Loki let us take him." Izuku said. "He's not leading an army from here."
"It did seem like he purposefully let himself get caught." Midnight said. "He could have grabbed the scientist, who's eye they needed, without the attention, and he could have put up a bit more of a fight against Midoriya, Bakugou, and Uraraka if he could fight against Thor."
"And he could escaped easily while those three were fighting each other, yet he didn't move an inch." Snipe pointed out. "That smile he had when he was in that cell definitely means he wanted to get caught."
Bakugou growled, enraged that it wasn't because he was badass that they captured Loki easily, but because the Mischief God wanted to get caught, and played him like a fool.
"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki." Bruce argued. "That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You could smell crazy on him."
"Have care how you speak." Thor warned. "Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he's my brother."
"Even with all he's done, from murdering people and brainwashing others, he would still defend him." Mandalay questioned.
"I believe I am not defending my brother's actions, for they have no justification." All Might spoke up. "But Loki and my counterpart are still brothers in his eyes, and I believe that there is no one beyond redemption." Upon speaking, he thought back to Shigaraki, hope still in his old heart that there was hope for his master's grandson.
"He killed 80 people in two days." Ochaco revealed bluntly.
"He's adopted." Thor defended nervously.
The defense sparked laughter and giggles from the group as well as an embarrassed neck rub from All Might.
"I think it's about the mechanics." Bruce continued. "Iridium. What do they need the iridium for?"
"Its a stabilizing agent." A armorless Katsuki answered as he and Yamada arrived, turning to Yamada. "I'm just saying, pick a weekend. I'll fly you to Portland. Keep love alive." Yamada nodded gratefully and gestured that he is needed elsewhere.
"Aww, that's so nice of him." Pony cooed.
Ibarra smiled, proud that her boyfriend of another world was acting so chivalrously.
"You do realize he could just be doing that because he and Shiozaki are close friends." Setsuna spoke up. "Trying to gain brownie points from the future Mrs."
Ibara's face turned completely red and steamed like a sauna, while a eye-twitching, angry tick mark Bakugou was restrained in his seat by Sero's tape.
"It means the portal won't collapse on itself like it did at S.H.I.E.L.D." Katsuki continued, walking towards Thor. "No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing." He patted Thor's muscled shoulder.
"Pffft, Point Break!" Mina laughed loudly. "That's hilarious!"
"Where does come up with these nicknames?" Kyouka shook her head, while smiling.
"Um why did he call him Point Break?" Kinoko asked.
"Probably because Thor's hair makes him look like a surfer and the robbers in Point Break were surfers." Itsuka answered. "I think he looks mainly like the one played by Patrick Swayze."
"Can stop talking about old movies and get back to the alien invasion problem already?!" Bakugou yelled.
"Also, it means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long, as Loki wants." Stark continued again, walking past Thor and Kayama to the series of control panels by the center.
"Bakugou's crassness aside, it appears that we were right in what they need the Iridium for." Iida said.
Stark looked to the crew of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents all around. "Raise the mizzenmast. Jib the topsails." Stark joked, gaining the attention of the crew. Stark gestured to the right side of the room. "That man is playing Galaga." Izuku looked to where Katsuki pointed, confused. "He thought we wouldn't notice but we did."
"AHAHAHAHAHA! This is too much! Too much!" Hagakure burst out laughing.
"Its actually more funny that Deku looked so confused." Uraraka giggled.
"He is also likely confused because old man Muscles probably doesn't even know what Galaga is." Mei giggled, with more laughter breaking forth and more embarrassment to drop onto Deku's burning face.
Katsuki looked back to the control panels, covering his left side of his face with his hand. "How does Aizawa even see these?" Katsuki asked.
"He turns." Kayama answered obviously.
"Sounds exhausting." Katsuki muttered as he messed with some of the screens. "The rest of the raw materials Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. The only major component he needs is a power source of high-energy density." As Katsuki turned to face the group, he stealthily attached a small device on the bottom of of the left console. "Something to kick-start the Cube."
"Woah woah woah, what did he just do there?" Manga asked, his text bubble filled by a large question mark and exclamation point.
"Its looked like some sort of device made to look like a screw to better conceal itself." David Shield explained. "As for its purpose, perhaps it could be a way to hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files from Aizawa's station, which would likely have easier access."
"When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?" Kayama questioned.
"Last night." Katsuki replied honestly.
Kayama blinked in slight surprise.
"Its times like this that forget that Bakugou is smart and studious." Sato said.
"Of course I am! I'm a freaking genius in this world, and our world!" The current Number 3 in Class 1-A's academic circuit exclaimed. "And don't your forget it!"
"The packet, Selvig's notes, the extraction theory papers." Katsuki listed of before exclaiming "Am I the only one who did the reading?"
"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Izuku interrupted Katsuki and asked.
"Way to get to the point, Midoriya." Asui spoke up, the bluntest girl of 1-A finding the quality rather attractive.
"He would have to heat the Cube to 120-million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier." Bruce answered.
Katsuki nodded impressed. "Unless Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect." Stark added.
"Well if he could do that, he could achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet." Banner pointed out.
"Uuuuuhhhhhhh..." Hagakure gaped utterly confused. Kosei blinked and scratched his head, utterly confused while Kaminari's brain literally short-circuited.
"I'm going to need a translation to whatever foreign language I just heard there." Mina requested.
"The Coulomb barrier is the barrier of energy of two nuclei, made up by electrostatic interaction between the two, and is something that needs to be overcome by enough energy to create a nuclear reaction and quantum tunneling is the quantum mechanical phenomenon where a wavefunction can propagate through a potential barrier." Power Loader explained.
With the still confused expressions he got, he dumbed it down further. "Loki and Selvig either need to make a lot of energy to be produced so that they can make a reaction in the Tesseract to make it form and stabilize a portal and they need to sync up the waves of energy so that the wall of energy that is stopping them, can be easily passed through."
"Finally, someone who speaks English." Stark gestured to the doctor, relief in his voice.
"Is that what just happened?" Rogers questioned.
"Same Midobro, same." Kirishima nodded.
"Its good to meet you, Dr. Banner." Stark greeted the fellow genius. "Your work on antielectron collisions is unparalleled."
"Well, I guess Stark and Bakugou can be respectful to those he considers on his intellectual and combative level." Momo said.
"And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage-monster." Katsuki added.
"...Never mind." Momo sighed.
Bruce lips curled in a frown at the last comment. "Thanks." He said simply.
"Dr. Banner is only here to track the Cube." Aizawa spoke up as he entered the room. "I was hoping you might join him."
"I would start with that stick of his." Cap suggested. "It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a Hydra weapon."
"True." Todoroki said. "The way it charges up, the same energy emiction and destructive capability. It could be powered by the Cube or similar to it."
"I don't know about that, but it is powered by or similarly to the Cube." Aizawa replied. "And I would like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys."
"Monkeys?" Thor repeated confused. "I don't understand."
"I do." Izuku quickly pointed out, a somewhat childlike giddiness in his tone that made Katsuki roll his eyes. "I understood that reference."
"Oh Zuzu, you're other you acting more like you is so cute!" Nejire cooed while pinching and shaking Deku's fiery red cheek.
Cue laughter, embarrassment, and eye rolls from the group as well.
Eri looked at how Nejire interacted with her Papa. 'They look like a Mama and Papa.' Eri said, frowning, more and more confused about who was her Mama and her desire to ask her Papa growing more and more.
"Shall we play, Doctor?" Katsuki ignored Cap and asked Bruce.
"This way, sir." Bruce gestured and the two made their way to the lab.
Meanwhile, one S.H.I.E.L.D. agent peered behind him to see no one was looking at him. With the coast clear, he turned back to the screen, now playing Galaga.
And cue another burst of laughter from almost all the audience.
A shot of the Helicarrier flying was shown before it switched to Banner and Stark in the lab. Jurota's counterpart hovered a scanning device over the Scepter. "The gamma readings are definitely consistent with Selvig's reports of the Tesseract." Bruce said, looking at the readings of the Scepter, comparing the radiation of the weapon's gemstone to the Tesseract's. But its going to take weeks to process."
"So that does mean that the Scepter is powered by the Cube?" Uraraka asked.
"Or whatever that gemstone is has a similar composition and energy to the Tesseract." Izuku said. "But if the Tesseract is powerful enough to such unlimited amounts of energy...for there to be another energy source like it-"
"It would be impossibly dangerous for both power sources to be in the hands of Loki and his army." Iida finished Izuku's sentence.
"If we bypass their mainframe and direct route to the Homer cluster we can clock this at around 600 teraflops." Stark revealed, looking over another computer before walking towards Bruce.
Bruce laughed. "All I packed was a toothbrush." He replied.
"No offense Jurota, but it didn't seem like you had much to pack." Sen said.
"Indeed." Jurota agreed, honestly.
Stark chuckled too. "You know you should come by Stark Tower sometime." Katsuki offered as he grabbed a metal device. "Top ten floors, all R&D. You'd love it its Candy Land."
Mei perked up and practically salivated at the thought of ten floors full of Stark technology to work with.
"Thanks, but the last time I was in New York, I kinda broke Harlem." Bruce rejected the offer. "Well, both me and Blonsky."
"Hold up, broke what?" Setsuna did a double take.
"So this Bruce Banner's transformation went on a rampage in New York." Tokoyami said.
And cue the horrified, guilt-ridden face of Shishida.
"But it could be that Shishida didn't intentionally destroy Harlem or meant to transform either." Izuku spoke. "Its clear that Banner's transformation sometimes occur out of his control or because its a life and death situation, so perhaps Shishida transformed because he was either dying or in danger, or because of some other influence."
"Yeah, like who is Blonsky?" Uraraka asked. "He just said that this Blonsky help destroy Harlem."
"You mean the Abomination." Katsuki pointed out. "Nice work taking him down, by the way."
Bruce chuckled morbidly. "That's what they're calling him?" He asked. "I figured that name was given to me."
"Abomination?" Melissa repeated confused.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. answered Melissa's confusion by pausing the movie and bringing up an image of a brown haired man. "Emil Blonsky, a former special-ops commander of the British Royal Navy, who was loaned to and tasked by an U.S. General to capture Bruce Banner for imprisonment and secret experimentation." F.R.I.D.A.Y. explained. "He was inject with a variant of the Super Soldier Serum they attempted to replicate," Izuku frowned at the mention. "But upon the initial failure to capture Banner's transformation, he injected himself Banner's blood and became what is known as The Abomination."
F.R.I.D.A.Y. pulled up another image next to Blonsky's, the group reeling back in surprise, and other's horror, at the drastic change. He was ginormous, way taller and more ripped than even All Might. His barf green body was incredibly muscled and grotesque, his spine jutting out horrendously, his hands large and clawed, and his head bald and hideous.
"Jesus." Kaminari cursed.
Eri quickly buried her head in Izuku's chest, her Papa wrapping his arms protectively around her as he stared at the creature who's name was true to his appearance.
"Blonsky's transformation was as strong as to even stronger than Dr. Banner's form and took ingenuity and sheer anger to take down Abomination, who was taken into custody, but not before they destroyed most of Harlem in their fight." F.R.I.D.A.Y. finished.
"So Jurota was trying to help stop that...thing?" Pony asked.
"Seems like it." Setsuna said. "Sounds like the blame goes to that hideous Abomination."
"While the likely casualties an destruction are regrettable, it appears Dr. Banner must be commended for putting an end to this Villain's rampage." All Might decreed.
Jurota was stunned at the quick support from the group and their defense of his counterpart. The youngest of Class 1-B smiled in sheer appreciation and nodded gratefully.
"Well, I promise a stress-free environment." Katsuki promise. "No tension, no surprises."
Katsuki passed Bruce, turned around and poked at Bruce's side.
"Ow!" Banner exclaimed at the sudden slight electrical discharge.
"Bakugou! Cease your actions before you endanger the lives of the people on the ship!" Iida yelled out. "No offense meant, Shishida."
"No no, the concern is understandable." Jurota replied.
"Screw off, Glasses!" Bakugou yelled back. "Its not like the doc is going to go ape-shit from just one tiny shock!"
"Hey!" Izuku yelled as he entered the room, praying witness to Stark's antics.
Katsuki ignored the super soldier and looked into Bruce's eyes with curiousness. "Nothing?" He asked.
"Are you nuts?" Izuku asked seriously.
"Jury's out." Katsuki answered.
"Well at least this Bakugou has the decency to admit he's delusional." Uraraka said smugly.
"FUCK YOU, GRAVITY BITCH!" Bakugou yelled angered.
Angered at the words said to his best friend, Izuku sent a warning glare to Bakugou, one that Bakugou challenged with a glare of his own.
"You really have a lid on it, haven't you?" Katsuki asked Bruce again. "What's your secret? Mellow jazz, bongo drums, huge bag of weed?"
"Is everything a joke to you?" Rogers asked further.
"Funny things are." Katsuki answered honestly again.
"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny." Izuku warned. "No offense, Doc."
"Couldn't have said it any better, Midoriya." Iida agreed.
"Oh my god, its like Cap is Midori and Iida fused together." Mina whispered to Hagakure, who giggled in response.
"Its alright, I wouldn't have come aboard if I couldn't handle pointy things." Banner waved off the apology.
"You're tip-toeing, big man." Stark said as he walked to grab a bag of snacks. "You need to strut."
"And you need to focus on the problem, Mr. Stark." Izuku pointed out.
"Agreed." Edgeshot nodded. "Now is not the time for antics and jokes."
"Seems like asking for a Stark that isn't all about antics and jokes is like asking a raccoon not to dig through garbage." Hawks replied.
"Do you think I'm not?" Stark questioned. "Why did Aizawa call us in? Why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables."
"Wait, isn't it obvious why he called them in?" Kaminari asked. "To stop the crazy demigod from sending his world-conquering alien army."
"Perhaps there is more than what we aren't seeing." Tokoyami replied.
"You think Aizawa's hiding something?" Izuku asked.
"When is Mr. Aizawa Not hiding something?" Mineta asked.
"My disappointment for not paying attention and noticing the clues." Aizawa retorted.
"He's a spy." Katsuki said. "Captain, he's 'The' spy. His secret's have secrets." He ate a handful of snacks and turned to Bruce. "Its bugging him, too. Isn't it?"
"Uh..." Bruce voice unsure of what to say. "I'm just want to finish my work here, and-"
"Doctor?" Rogers pressed.
Jurota's counterpart sighed and relented. "A warm light for all mankind." Bruce said. "Loki's jab at Aizawa about that Cube."
"I heard it." Izuku nodded.
"Well, I think that was meant for you." Bruce pointed to Katsuki, grabbing a few blueberries at Stark's insistence. "Even if Barton didn't tell Loki about the tower, it was still all over the news."
"Wait how does Bakugou and Stark Tower factor into this?" Kosei asked.
"Maybe if we let the scene continue we will know!" Bakugou yelled out again.
"The Stark Tower?" Izuku questioned. "That big, ugly-" Katsuki stared at Izuku with a raised eyebrow. "-building in New York?" Izuku continued.
Mei looked halfway into a murderous rage at the word 'ugly' being used to refer to the Stark Tower, but quickly calmed down as she remembered who said those words. 'Just because I like you, Muscles, I will let that one slide.' Mei thought. 'But I swear I will not hold Anything back when I have you test out my babies.'
Unfortunately, Bakugou did not have the same restraint as Mei.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY TOWER, DEKU?!" Bakugou roared out. "SAY THAT AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE YOUR FACE THE ONLY UGLY THING AROUND HERE!"
"Its powered by an arc reactor, a self-sustaining energy source." Banner continued. "That building will run itself for, what a year?"
"A whole building powering itself for a year on self-sustaining energy?" Melissa questioned impressed. "Amazing."
"Its just the prototype." Stark replied. "I'm kind of the only name in clean energy right now. That's what he's getting at."
"So, why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D. bring him in on the Tesseract project?" Bruce got to the point. "What are they doing in the energy business in the first place?"
"That...is true." Momo frowned suspiciously. "If Bakugou is the only one, or rather the current lead, working on clean energy, and S.H.I.E.L.D. has already contracted him in a consulter position, then why not bring Stark in on the Tesseract."
Izuku and Melissa's eyes snapped wide open, staring at each other, the two knowing the answer already. 'Because they aren't using the Tesseract for clean, reusable energy.' Izuku and Melissa both thought.
Nezu sighed. 'As I feared.' He thought.
"I should probably look into that once my decryption program finishes breaking into all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secure files." Stark said, fishing his advanced phone out of his pocket.
"I'm sorry." Izuku blinked in aghast. "Did you just say-"
"Jarvis has been running it since I hit the bridge." Stark revealed. "In a few hours, I'll know every dirty secret S.H.I.E.L.D. has ever tried to hide." He raised the Ziploc bag to Rogers. "Blueberry?"
"So that was what the thing he placed was." Tsukauchi said. "Seems you were right in your assumption, Mr. Shield."
"Yet you're confused about why they didn't want you around." Rogers pointed out bluntly.
"An intelligence organization that fears intelligence? Historically, not awesome." Katsuki pointed out himself.
Hawks nodded, recalling the times the Hero Public Safety Commission would send his predecessor, Lady Nagant, to 'take care' of certain individuals that 'knew too much'.
"I think Loki's trying to wind us up." Rogers said. "This is a man who means to start a war, and if we don't stay focused, he'll succeed. We have orders. We should follow them."
"What is interesting is that both Midoriya and Bakugou are correct." Nezu spoke up.
"Rogers is right that they need to stay unified and focuses on their goal of finding the Tesseract." Aizawa commented. "If they start fighting among each other, like Loki appears to want, then they will fail."
"Although, Stark is also correct that it seems that your counterpart is hiding something, Aizawa." Vlad King pointed out. "Following orders where you don't know what they will achieve or who you are working for can have unintended consequences."
Aizawa had no choice but to nod in agreement.
"Following's not really my style." Bakugou's counterpart replied.
"It appears another reason why Bakugou is Stark's counterpart is that they are both honest, even if they are delusional and arrogant." Todoroki commented.
Bakugou responded with a middle finger again.
"And you're all about style, aren't you?" Midoriya's counterpart questioned.
"Of the people in this room, which one is A, wearing a spangly outfit, and, B, not of use?" Katsuki fired back.
Sharp exhales and hisses highlighted the awkwardness that flooded the room. Despite his guilt and attempts to get better, Bakugou still finds the challenging words and glare of Midoriya, even if its a different Midoriya, anger-inducing and effective against his pride. And while Midoriya already had forgiven him for their past, Deku still couldn't help but flinch and grow annoyed and angered at being called 'not of use', something had been told all his life.
While Rogers glared at Stark, Bruce spoke up with "Izuku, tell me none of this smells a little funky to you."
Izuku looked back at Katsuki with another stern stare. "Just find the Cube." Izuku said again before marching out of the lab.
As he exited the lab and an agent passed him by, Izuku stopped in his tracks and sighed. Looking between the lab and the passing agent, curiousness and relent growing in his features, Cap changed course and walked the opposite way.
"It appears that Stark was successful in making Rogers suspicious of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intentions for the Tesseract." Shoji said. "It seems he is going to do his own investigating."
"But didn't he say that they need to stay focus and stayed united and everything?" Ojiro asked. "Isn't that going against orders?"
"Did you forget how last video Midoriya disobeyed orders to come rescue all those soldiers and myself?" Todoroki pointed out.
"True." Ojiro relented.
"That's the guy my dad never shut up about?" Katsuki pondered out loud, working on the panel next to the Scepter while Bruce worked on the other from across the room. "I'm wondering if we shouldn't have kept him on ice."
"It is evident that the mending of old wounds have note been fully healed." Reiko spoke. "Stark's father's admiration and idolization of Rogers must have been another catalyst of Stark's resentment."
"Huh?" Pony asked confused.
"Reiko means that Stark must have felt insecure and jealous because of his father's praise and 'never shutting up about' Rogers." Itsuka translated. "It woudl explain why Bakugou was particularly harsh and antagonistic towards Midoriya."
"I'M NOT JEALOUS OF DEKU OVER ANYTHING!" Bakugou roared out, trying desperately, even now, to lie to himself.
"Huh. The guy's not wrong about Loki." Bruce replied as he tapped and scrolled up several images. "He does have the jump on us."
"What he's got is an Acme dynamite kit." Katsuki retorted, making his way to the other side of the room with Bruce to another screen. "Its going to blow up in his face. And I'm going to be there when it does."
"I know we aren't trying to compare the two too much, but just the thought of Monoma blowing up like Wiley Coyote is just hilarious!" Kamakiri laughed out.
The rest of the students joined in his laughter, all except a grumbling Monoma.
"Yeah." Bruce chuckled, dragging an image out of the screen where it appeared on Katsuki's. "I'll read all about it."
"Uh-huh." Stark nodded. "Or you'll be suiting up with the rest of us."
Another nervous chuckle escaped Bruce's mouth. "You see, I don't get a suit of armor." Banner replied. "I'm exposed. Like a nerve. It's a nightmare."
The Class 1-B students looked to their youngest classmate with worry and concern.
"You know, I've got a cluster of shrapnel trying every second to crawl its way into my heart." Stark informed. "This stops it." He tapped on the arc reactor in his chest, walking up to the other side of Bruce's panel. "This little circle of light, its part of me now. Not just armor. Its a terrible privilege."
Class 1-A's students, however, looked to their explosive classmate with smiles at his willingness to help someone in need.
"But you can control it." Bruce pointed out.
"Because I learned how." Katsuki answered.
"Yeah, he was almost dying from the same circle of light in the last movie he was in." Setsuna pointed out.
Ibara shook her head, attempting to forget the memory of Bakugou dying from her mind.
"Its different." Banner shook his head and looked back to the readings.
"Hey." Katsuki swiped the screen, the screens minimizing and moving to the side. "I read all about your accident. That much gamma exposure should have killed you."
"So you're saying that the Hulk..." Bruce stopped himself as he said the name. "The Other Guy saved my life?"
"The Hulk?" Itsuka repeated. "Is that the name of Banner's transformation?"
"Must be." Yui said. "It also appears that Jurota should have died from the gamma exposure, but that the Hulk saved him."
"Huh, seems like this Hulk guy isn't too bad." Sen said. "If he saved your hairy ass, then he can't not be blessing, right Jurota?"
Jurota looked to his classmate with surprise at his words. He could tell the care in Sen's words, care that the rest of his class share, for him, and it made the teen smile gratefully. "Yes." He replied. "I suppose so."
"That's nice. Its a nice sentiment." Banner admitted. "Saved it for what?"
Stark smirked. "I guess we'll find out." He answered, walking back to his screen.
"You may not enjoy that." Bruce replied.
"And you just might." Stark retorted.
The scene changed to the creaking and straining of metal, Izuku grunting as he forcibly attempted to slide open a metal door. The metal broke and slid, giving Izuku access to the room on the other side. He looked back to see if anyone was there before making his way inside.
"Ooh, Midori is going spy mode." Mina said.
Looking around, Rogers could see shelves full of metal cases as far as he could see. Overhearing the indistinct voices of agents in the distance, Izuku looked up to the catwalk above him, jumped up, and vaulted his way onto the catwalk stealthily and continued.
"Excellent work." Aizawa nodded in approval. "Great spatial awareness and quick reactions."
"Rather weird to be commending your student for his spy skills while he's trying to spy on you and our organization." Mic pointed out.
"I find myself likewise curious over my counterpart's plans for the Tesseract." Aizawa defended himself. "Whether I approve of them or not, counterpart or not, I shall find out then."
The scene changed again to a truck driving down an empty lit tunnel. On the inside, David and another scientist worked on some machines while a large reactor rested to their right.
Melissa squirmed in worry. Midoriya noticed and held out his hand towards her. She latched onto it immediately, Midoriya almost flinched at the strength of her grip, but held on nonetheless.
Selvig carefully grabbed a weighed amount of iridium from a scale with a pair of pliers, and brought it over, passed the Tesseract and towards an open slot of a machine. Dropping it gently inside, the machine lit up and David smiled, his eyes still glazed blue.
"That looks a lot like the generator that Red Skull used to harness the Tesseract." Kamui said. "And with that glow, I believe they are close with their plans."
"At least we know that he has the Tesseract." Snip replied. "And if he's out of whatever underground bunker or tunnel they were hiding in, it will make it easier to find him."
"I hope you're right about that." David replied.
"As soon as Loki took the Doctor, we moved Inko Foster." Yamada revealed, the scene changing to him and Thor looking at an image of her. "They've got an excellent observatory in Tromso. She was asked to consult there very suddenly yesterday. Handsome fee, private plane, very remote. She'll be safe."
"Thank you." Toshinori's counterpart thanked the agent, his eyes weighed in relief, yet sadness.
Deku breathed out a sigh of relief that he didn't know he was holding in, smiling that his mother, even if she wasn't in this other world, was safe and sound.
"Does that mean that Grandma Inko is safe, Papa?" Eri asked, hopefully.
Izuku smiled and rubbed the girl's head, who hummed pleased. "Yes, Grandma is safe." Izuku replied.
Toshinori looked to Present Mic and nodded gratefully at him. Mic grinned and gave him a thumbs up.
"Its no accident, Loki taking David Selvig." Thor said. "I dread what he plans for him once he's done. David is a good man."
All Might sighed guiltily, knowing full well that that was the case. He felt a hand on his shoulder to see David smiling at him, his eyes promising that it wasn't his fault. All Might wanted to disagree but smiled back anyways.
"He talks about you a lot." Yamada said. "You changed his life. You changed everything around here."
"They were better as they were." Thor admitted as they walked.
"I disagree." Izuku protested. "Because you are there, they now know that there are other life out in the universe, more so importantly, that not all of them are peaceful. No matter what would have happened if you weren't there, the past is past, and there's nothing we can do to change it. All we have to do is accept it and find the bright side in it."
"I agree. And no matter what world it is, you do change everything, Uncle Might." Melissa said. "For the better."
"Thank you, Melissa, Young Midoriya." All Might smiled at his niece and son in all but blood, well the latter also not by marriage, yet.
"We pretend on Asgard that we're more advanced, but we come here battling like bilge snipe." Thor admitted more.
"Like what?" Hizashi questioned.
"Blige snipe." Thor repeated. "You know, huge, scaly, big antlers. You don't have those?"
"I don't think so." Yamada shook his head.
"Is that an actual creature in Norse Mythology?" Koda asked.
"No, I don't recall reading about a monster called a Bilge Snipe." Momo replied. "actually the name Bilge Snipe is an naval term for people on ships that work below decks and in engine rooms and bilges."
"The hell is bilge?" Kamakiri asked.
"Its the part of the boat inside the hull but below the floor-boards." Jurota replied. "Actually a Bilge Snipe also is known to get nose bleeds when they go above waterlines."
"Well, they are repulsive." Thor informed. "And they trample everything in their path."
"Maybe this creature is called a Bilge Snipe because they can make you bleed." Honenuki shrugged.
Thor looked out the windows of the Helicarrier deck in silence. "When I first came to Earth, Loki's rage followed me here, and your people payed the price." Thor said. "And now, again. In youth, I courted war."
"Everyone makes mistakes." Gran Torino spoke up. "Wouldn't really be human if we didn't. But what matters is what you do to fix and overcome those mistakes."
All Might thought over his counterpart's actions. Though he started a war, he saved the people of the very same planet he attacked from his brother. He disobeyed and went against his father, but he saved him and mended their relationship in the end. And though he brought Loki's rage to Earth, he now is standing in defense of it from his brother yet again.
'I've made mistakes, in this life and my own.' All Might thought, rubbing his wound. 'But just as my other self is working to fix them, I shall do the same, starting by training Young Midoriya, properly.'
"War hasn't started yet." Aizawa's voice spoke out, Thor turning to see the eyepatch wearing man standing at the top of the stairs next to him.
'Indeed.' Endeavor thought. He looked to Hawks who stared back, their eyes meeting with seriousness of what is to occur in three months. 'The true war hasn't started yet.'
"You think you could make Loki tell us where the Tesseract is?" Aizawa asked.
"I do not know." Thor replied. "Loki's mind is far afield. Its not just power he craves, its vengeance, upon me. There's no pain would prize his need from him."
"A lot of guys think that," Aizawa said, walking down the stairs to Thor, stopping just above him. "Until the pain starts."
"What are you asking me to do?" Thor asked.
"I'm asking what are you Prepared to do?" Aizawa corrected Thor.
"Loki is a prisoner." Thor reminded the director.
"Then why do I feel that he's the only person on this boat that Wants to be here?" Aizawa asked the Asgardian.
Thor didn't reply, but his blinking eyes showed all his thinking and pondering.
All Might narrowed his eyes. 'Just what are you plotting, brother.' All Might thought.
In his cell, Loki paced around till he abruptly stopped. He smirked pleased and amused. "There's not many people who can sneak up on me." Loki said as he turned to face Ochaco Romanoff standing outside his cell.
"But you figured I'd come." Romanoff said.
"Why is Ochaco there?" Hagakure asked worryingly. Despite the demigod in a cell, she still feared for her friend's life.
"She's there to interrogate Loki, most likely." Iida answered. "As a spy, she's likely the best for the job."
"What worries me more is that Loki knew she would come." Izuku narrowed his eyes, his own hand clenching up in worry.
"After." Loki admitted. "After whatever tortures Aizawa can concoct, you would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate."
"Yep, that's pretty much how standard interrogations work." Hawks said. "Minus the torture part." He threw out a little lie at the end.
"I want to know what you've done to Agent Barton." Ochaco stated bluntly.
Shinsou perked up, wondering how this was going to go.
"I would say I've expanded his mind." Loki said with a smile.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. spy cocked his her head to one side, slowly walking up towards his cell. "And once you've won, once you've become king of the mountain, what happens to his mind?" Ochaco asked, crossing her arms as she stopped just by his cell.
"Oh. Is this love, Agent Romanoff?" Loki asked amused.
Shinsou froze, his wide eyes drifting towards a certain green-haired rival, waiting fearfully for the oncoming jealous glare to a building destroying fist to his face. He was lucky that Izuku froze himself in unknowing fear of the answer too, both he and Uraraka.
"Love is for children." Romanoff replied. "I owe him a debt."
The group didn't know who released the biggest breath of relief, Uraraka, Izuku, or Shinsou. They also didn't know which of the girls had the most frightening, jealous glare.
Loki stepped backwards, reaching to his bench. "Tell me." Loki said, asking for elaboration.
"Oooh, we are getting some Ochaco backstory." Mina said excited, snapping out of her glare by pure curiosity.
Taking a moment of contemplation, Ochaco took a seat on the chair beside her. "Before I worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. I uh...well, I made a name for myself." Romanoff began revealing as Loki listened patiently. "I have a very specific skill set. I didn't care who I used it for, or on."
Uraraka's relieved face slowly dropped to a worried frown, whilst the group's gained frowns of either pity, concern, to even suspicion.
"I got on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar in a bad way." Ochaco continued. "Agent Barton was sent to kill me. He made a different call."
"So that's what she meant by debt." Asui said. "Barton spared other you and convinced you to join S.H.I.E.L.D. No wonder the two of you seem close."
Uraraka looked towards Shinsou and smiled gratefully at the indigo haired teen. Shinsou nodded back. When she turned away, Shinsou looked towards Midoriya, who sent him his own grateful smile. Shinsou was surprised that there was no hint of animosity or receding jealousy in Midoriya's eyes. Shinsou took what he could and smiled and nodded back, grateful himself that a lightning-covered fist wasn't going through his skull.
Loki nodded in understanding. "And what will you do if I vow to spare him?"
"Not let you out." Ochaco answered honestly.
"No, but I like this." Loki smiled widely. "Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man."
"Regimes fall every day." Romanoff raised an eyebrow. "I tend not to weep over that. I'm Russian. Or I was."
"That's a rather nihilistic way to see the world." Momo said.
"Like she said, she's Russian." Kyouka responded. "If there is any country with most experience in collapsing regimes, its Russia."
"And what are you now?" Loki asked.
"Its really not that complicated." Ochaco responded, getting up from her seat and walking back to stand right next to the glass. "I got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out."
"Red in her ledger?" Hagakure said confused. "What does she mean by...Oh! Oh. S-sorry."
Uraraka's eyes were shadowed over, but her frown, full of guilt and sadness, was on full display. Her classmates looked at her with worry, none for so than the members of the Dekusquad, and none of them more so than Izuku Midoriya, torn between looking to his best friend/unknown crush and comforting her, or to continue glaring at the screen and Loki.
"Can you?" Loki asked again. "Can you wipe out That much red? Dreykov's daughter. Sao Paulo. The hospital fire?" Loki began listing, each one making Ochaco's frown worsen, shocked eyes wetting, gasping breath hitching. "Barton told me everything."
While Shinsou glared venomously at Loki, his fists clenched in anger, directed at himself. "Fuck." He cursed.
With her three examples of red ledger pointed out, the mood grew more and more tense. The heroes were torn now on how to view their student's counterpart, her teachers looking to their student concerned on how this would affect her, and the pros wondering just how horrible of deeds they were that it would make even the stoic Black Widow shocked.
The 1-B students felt awkward at what was happening. Monoma was practically begging to any god that would listen to stop his counterpart, to rip his mouth if they could, anything to stop before he makes things worse. Uraraka's classmates starting flip flopping between comforting and looking concerned at her to glare hatefully at Loki.
"Your ledger is Dripping." Loki got up from his bed and stalked towards Romanoff from his side of the glass, his reflection growing larger as he walked closer. "Its Gushing red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything? This is the basest sentimentality. This is a Child at prayer. Pathetic!"
1-A was now fully fuming with hatred, with even kind Koda glaring so hard at Loki, the demigod would have burst into pieces if looks could kill. Many of them had their Quirks itching to be let out, from Todoroki's flames, to Mina's acid, to Kaminari's electricity.
Even Bakugou looked utterly pissed off, explosions crackling in his hands. 'No One gets to talk Shit about or to Pink Cheeks but Me!' Bakugou thought protectively and enraged.
Iida and Asui placed their hands on Uraraka's shivering shoulders, Nejire flying over to hug Uraraka from behind, all three glaring daggers at Loki. Iida had never felt this much rage since the fate of his brother by Stain, and he almost wished as badly to pounce on Loki if the lesson of the last time that urge fuel him didn't force its way into his mind.
"You lie and kill, in the service of of liars and killers." Loki's voice continued as the screen showed Stark and Banner looking at the panel as the two looked at all the previously classified and locked files. Meanwhile, Kayama looked at a computer screen on the deck, warning of a Stark's virus program detected. Aizawa walked up to see it, frowning. "You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors." Rogers opened a metal case, his frown worsening as he gazed at what was inside. "But they are part of you." Cap looked down at the open cases holding various gear and weapons of Hydra. "And they will Never Go Away."
Setsuna's eyes snapped from anger to shocked horror at the sight of those infamous weapons and gear, her brain connecting the dots on what S.H.I.E.L.D.'s plan for the Tesseract were. The heroes quickly followed suit, Nezu frowning, his eyes confirming what he already suspected. Aizawa barely managed to catch that frown, the focus of his gaze and anger directed towards the demigod making his student suffer emotionally.
Loki slammed his fist on the glass, Ochaco stepping back in surprise. "I won't touch Barton not until I make him kill you." Loki growled out, eyes flashing blue for a split second. "Slowly, intimately, in every way he knows you fear." Ochaco stared at the God of Mischief in fear and horror. "And then he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll Split his Skull!" Ochaco gaped in horror and turned away in disgust, back turned towards Loki. "This is my bargain, you mewling Quim."
Eri felt herself move and found herself in Mirio's lap, she turned to see her Papa and nearly squeaked. The rest turned to see Deku on his feet, his bio-electricity surging like a storm, as wild as when Dr. Erskine died, if not more. Black Whip flowed off him and looked like a growling monster, worse than Dark Shadow. His hair stuck up and looked almost glowing. Black Whip seemed to seep from his eyes and cover his upper face black, his eyes nearly fully green, lightning sparking off of him. His teeth mashed and grinded together that he sounded more beast than man.
'He hurt her. He Hurt Her!' Was the constant thought that played in Deku's enraged mind. 'Make him pay. Make. Him. Pay!'
The students never felt more terrified, and even the heroes froze, like beast was let loose and ready to kill.
As soon as Deku took a step closer to the screen, the ground beneath where his foot was cracked by the pressure, and hand reached out and grabbed his wrist. Deku froze, the rage quickly fading to shock. He could feel the nubs on the tips of the fingertips. He turned to see Uraraka holding him back, the distinct feeling of weightlessness following suit at her five fingertips touching his wrist.
"U-Uraraka?" Deku said.
Uraraka lifted her head to look at Deku in the eyes. Deku stared surprised at her face. Tears barely kept in their place, her face sweating from fear and nausea, and a kind smile. "I-Its alright, Deku." Uraraka said. "I'm alright. Just please calm down."
Deku stared shell shocked, hearing the shakiness in her voice, the tremble in her hand, her other hand both trembling and clenched. Izuku's eyes fell down into place, the lightning ceased and Black Whip returned to inside of him. His face grew cold before turning to face her fully. He brought the pink-cheeked girl into a hug with his remaining arm.
"No." Izuku said. "No, you aren't."

Ochaco's fake smile crumbled, the tears flowing, hugged back trembling, face buried in his chest. Throughout Loki's words, she imagined the worst, most frightening way she could die, and she saw Himiko Toga, her whole body cloaked in the blood of her friends, Tsu's slashed off tongue around her neck like a scarf, above her own bloodied and broken body, the stumps of her fingerless hands pooling around her, watching helplessly as Toga cut her body with her knife, slowly, intimately, killing her scratch by scratch, one of Toga's syringes stabbed through her gut as she drank from her blood. All the while a half-conscious Deku weakly leaned on Toga, who now morphed into Ochaco, the psychopath wearing her face licking up Midoriya's cheek and mouth while sucking her blood, her deranged laugh echoing around her.
And now adding to the nightmare was Loki joining in, laughing maniacally as he held Deku's head with one hand and Shinsou in the other, Shinsou's hands bloodied and screaming in horror like a man who lost his mind. His scream was cut off as Loki crushed his skull in his grip, followed by Deku's.

Ochaco nearly wanted to hurl but chose to instead cry and tremble in Midoriya's strong and comforting arms that held her close. She held onto him like he would suddenly disappear or that Loki would drag her.
Izuku continued hugging her as she cried and shook, his face cold and emotionless as he tightened his hug. He didn't seem to notice the eyes that looked at him or the worry in those eyes. They all seemed to fade till it was only he and Ochaco, and his mission to hug the crying girl that was his best friend.
After she managed to calm down a bit, she started to hack and convulse. Momo was quick to the scene, making a pale for Uraraka to puke her guts out. That was the cue for the rest of the group to unleash their reactions. Stomachs churned and some spilled out from their own imagined horrors and Loki's words. Monoma was one of those who spilled, absolutely horrified by what was spoken by, in all tense and purposes, His mouth. He looked at his hands and wondered how he could ever become such a monster like this.
While Aizawa, Ryukyu, and All Might race down to join the Dekusquad, Nejire, Shinsou and others in comforting the girl, Nezu glared at the screen, blankly. Unbridled fury was flowing inside the small principal, yet he had practice holding it down and focused on what caught his attention: the blue flash of Loki's eyes.
'His eyes flashed blue for a split second. The same blue that Barton and Selvig had.' Nezu pondered in his intelligent mind. 'The blue glow when someone is brainwashed by his Scepter.'
Shinsou approached hesitantly as Eri finished hugging Uraraka. The pink-cheeked girl looked up to her friend she was indebted to in this other life and smiled. She held out her hand to him and Shinsou immediately took it, kneeling down and wrapping the girl up in a hug. While he may not have known her for long, he already felt close to her, not just in another life, but in this life. She was his classmate, Deku's friend, the friend of his friend and rival, His friend too.
"Hey Shinsou, when you become a part of the Hero Course, officially, do you want to be part of the Dekusquad?" Shinsou remembered Uraraka's words to him after the Joint Training Exam. "Don't tell Deku that we call ourselves that, but he's the reason why we are a group in the first place, so that's why. He has a thing for making close friends, even with his rivals. Iida, Todoroki, hell, even Bakugou. I can see how the two of you are friends, and that he inspire you back at the Sports Festival, and I think you inspired him too. Plus, we like you too. I talked it over with the others, aside from Deku of course, and we would all love for you to join." He remembered he kind, bright smile. "So, what do you say?"
Shinsou tightened his hug, remembering his own shock and the words he said. "I-I'll think about it." He leaned to Uraraka's ear. "I'd like to join." Shinsou said. Uraraka smiled brightly again, the dark thoughts that were fading since Deku and the rest's hugs fully gone.
After everything settled down, tempers and feelings quelled, the group looked at Nezu as if he was crazy, saying to continue.
"No offense, boss, but are you nuts?!" Mic questioned. "You want to continue after what just happened?!"
"Yes, I do." Nezu replied. "Do not mistake my desire to continue to not caring for my student's well-being. I fully apologize to you, Ms. Uraraka, for the likely traumatizing event and be rest assured that should you wish for counseling or therapy sessions that I shall schedule it with Hound Dog myself." The previously enraged Hound Dog nodded, agreeing.
Uraraka didn't say a word, just nodded gratefully.
"To further explain myself, I wish to continue not just for curiosity for how this video and events end, but because I have something on my mind that I wish to confirm." Nezu explained.
"And that is?" Midnight asked.
"Whether Loki himself is brainwashed or not." Nezu replied simply.
All Might and Monoma both whirled towards the principal with shocked eyes. A glimmer of hope sparked in both All Might and Monoma, that Loki's hatred, words, and Villainy were all products of manipulation from this mysterious benefactor of the Chitauri.
With reluctant nods and approval given, they continued with the video.
Ochaco sniffled. "You're a monster." She whimpered out.
Loki chuckled villainously. "Oh no." He shook his head. "You brought the Monster."
Romanoff stood straight and turned, her face returning to her original poker face, her tears or sadness shown. "So, Banner." Black Widow said, Loki blinking, surprised. "That's your play."
The blinking, confused eyes of the audience joined Loki.
"What?" Loki questioned, confused and stumped.
"I second that, what?" Mina looked utterly stumped.
Gears clicked into place inside Momo's mind and she gasped. "Ochaco was faking!" Momo exclaimed. "I mean not our Ochaco, but Romanoff, she faked her reaction to trick Loki."
Iida's eyes widened as well. "She tricked him by using his overconfidence to reveal why he let himself get captured." Iida nodded. "But what does Banner have to do with it?"
"You brought the Monster." Izuku repeated. "Ochaco brought Banner into the Helicarrier. Loki wants to bring out the Hulk in the Helicarrier."
Alarmed eyes shot out in unison, filled panic and fear.
"If the Hulk is strong enough to defeat Abomination and he doesn't have control over him-" Itsuka began.
"The Hulk could wreck havoc and sink and destroy the Helicarrier, and the Heroes with it." Melissa ended.
Jurota's eyes widened in horror. 'My other self was right.' Jurota thought. 'I never should have come aboard.'
Romanoff rushed down to the catwalk to her left, placing an ear to her coms. "Loki means to unleash the Hulk." She radioed, Loki looking on in loss. "Keep Banner in the lab. Send Thor as well. I'm on my way." Black Widow stopped and looked back to the stumped Loki. "Thank you for your cooperation." She thanked the fooled god and walked away.
"Bro, she played him like a freaking violin!" Sen laughed out.
"Nice work, Uraraka." Aizawa congratulated his student. "You surprise even myself with such impressive performance."
"Thank you, Mr. Aizawa." Uraraka blushed embarrassed, yet happy.
With the morning sun dawning over the horizon, Aizawa marched into the lab to find Stark sitting on the table with the Scepter with Bruce and the panel beside him. "What are you doing, Mr. Stark?" Aizawa questioned.
"Oh yeah, in all that mess with Uraraka and Loki, we forgot about what the others were doing." Mirio pointed out.
"Aizawa must be confronting them about hacking into their servers and files." Tamaki concluded.
"Uh, kind of been wondering the same thing about you." A smug Katsuki replied.
"You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract." Aizawa continued, unamused.
"We are." Bruce jumped in. "The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile." Bruce pointed to Stark's computer by the other end of the room, showing that its scan was 47% complete.
"Good." Endeavor nodded. "If its already at 47% completion, it won't take long to find the Tesseract and end this madness."
"Yeah, then you get your Cube back. No muss, no fuss." Katsuki said as the panel beside him flared and popped up a file. "What is Phase 2?"
Before Aizawa could answer, Izuku entered slamming a Hydra weapon onto a table. "Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D. uses the Cube to make weapons." Izuku announced. "Sorry, computer was moving a little slow for me."
"WHAT?!" The students exclaimed in shock.
Izuku and Melissa whirled towards each other. 'We knew it!' The two thought at the same time.
Nezu frowned and sighed, getting rather tired of being right.
"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract." Aizawa tried lying. "This does not mean that we're making-"
"I'm sorry, Shouta." Stark interrupted, moving the panel to show an imaging of a the Cube or its energy placed into a warhead. "What were you lying?"
"Fuck. I knew it." Setsuna cursed. "As soon as I saw that Hydra gear, I knew it. They were studying how Hydra harnessed the Tesseract's power into their weapons so they can do it themselves."
"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Reiko muttered, darkly.
"That's why they didn't ask Bakubro to help with the Tesseract, because he'd be against using the Cube to make weapons." Kirishima said.
Bakugou growled in displeasure. "You motherfucker." He cursed towards other Aizawa.
Aizawa stared wide eyed at the screen, almost in disbelief at what he was working towards. 'But then,' Aizawa thought. 'Would I do the same? Would I do the same if I found it rational?'
"I was wrong, Director." Rogers spoke back up as Romanoff and Thor entered the lab. "The world hasn't changed a bit."
"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." Tokoyami quoted.
"Did you know about this?" Banner questioned Romanoff.
"You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?" Ochaco asked back.
"This is bad." Itsuka said, worried. "Joruta-I mean-Banner is getting angry. If he gets angry enough, he might transform into Hulk."
"Just as Loki planned." Shinsou glared.
"I was in Calcutta." Bruce retorted. "I was pretty well removed."
"Loki is manipulating you." Ochaco warned.
"And you've been doing what, exactly?" Banner retorted again.
"And the turning on each other is starting." Hawks sighed.
"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you." Romanoff fired back.
"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy." Bruce replied as he grabbed the monitor and gestured to it with his glasses. "I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D. is using the Tesseract to make weapons of mass destruction?"
"Because of him." Aizawa answered pointing towards Thor.
"Me?" Thor asked, eyebrow raised in surprised confusion.
"Huh?!" The group exclaimed.
"Wait, why is it Uncle Might's fault?" Melissa asked confused.
All Might's eyes widened in shock, confused.
"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town." Aizawa explained as the group looked all towards him. "We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly...hilariously outgunned."
"That's...true." Midnight frowned in thought. "I doubt that standard or military weaponry could do much against the Destroyer."
"Hell, I don't think even a missile would have work against that metal monster." Mic pointed out. "It could have regenerated or blown the thing out of the sky with its laser before it could have reached him."
"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor defended his people.
"But you're not the only people out there, are you?" Aizawa fired back. "And you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, that can't be controlled."
"So because I and my brother revealed the existence of advanced extraterrestrial life, S.H.I.E.L.D. developed this Phase 2 as a precautionary measure against invasion." All Might revealed, frowning guiltily.
"Its more than just that, All Might." Nezu spoke up. "They must have likewise started this Phase 2 to likewise match against Earth's own enhanced threats, such as Stark and his technology in the hands of criminals and super-powered threats such as this Abomination and Hulk."
Bakugou scoffed angrily, betting angrily that if S.H.I.E.L.D. saw him as a threat that needed to be 'handled', then they wouldn't hesitate to use those weapons on him. Jurota felt guilt at likewise leading this precaution to be necessary, though didn't fully disagree that something needed to be done if he was uncontrollable.
"I don't fully agree with what they are doing but, it does make sense." Itsuka said. "They are trying to find a way to stop threats that they aren't prepared for."
"But its still not right." Kirishima argued. "I mean what happens if they decide to point the super-powered gun at their own world?"
"I don't think they would go that far." Itsuka argued back, optimistically.
"Its paramilitary, intelligence organization that keep secrets like this hidden." Shinsou pointed out. "Why hide it so much if their plans for it don't include something that they would be opposed to?"
"It always starts with protection, then it becomes policing and controlling, and then the next thing you know, you have the next Hydra." Mina pointed out.
"Like you controlled the Cube?" Izuku retorted.
"Yeah, kind of doesn't seem smart to try to make weapons on something that they can't control." Kaminari spoke up. "I mean, look what happened to Red Skull."
"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies." Thor revealed. "It is a signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war."
"A higher form?" Rogers questioned, the scene rotating passed him and landing on Aizawa.
"So the reason we are having an alien invasion in the first place is because they were experimenting on the Tesseract?" Kyouka asked.
"Maybe not the sole reason, but still a reason." Momo answered. "A very desirable reason."
"An escalation of power always breeds greater threats and power to meet and overcome it." Edgeshot said. "Villains use their Quirks to commit crimes and we Heroes use our own Quirks and skills to stop them. But this leads to Villains to become greater threats, such as organized groups like the League of Villains."
"And using drugs to boost themselves, like Trigger, or disable Quirks like the Hisaikai's Quirk erasing bullets." Fat Gum added.
"You forced our hand." Aizawa defended himself. "We had to come up some-"
"A nuclear deterrent." Stark interrupted him, the scene shifted to him. "Because that always calms everything right down."
"That is also true." Snipe said. "When one country sees another get stronger by a new weapon, they do the same to compete and protect themselves, like nukes."
"Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark." Aizawa replied, shifting back to him.
"HEY I DON'T MAKE WEAPONS ANYMORE, YOU LYING-" Bakugou shouted before quickly shutting up upon Aizawa's gaze.
"Still it shows great growth in Stark's character that he is against this. The past two movies of him changed him for the better." Power Loader said, a sad smile on his face when remembering his own counterpart's death.
"I'm sure if he still made weapon, Stark would be neck deep-" Izuku jumped in walking up beside Aizawa.
"Woah woah, Midoriya, where did that come from?" Kaminari asked confused and worried.
"I-I don't know." Izuku replied, himself confused with why he suddenly tried to start something.
"Wait wait, hold on." Katsuki interrupted again. "How is this now about me?"
"I'm sorry, isn't everything?" Izuku asked sarcastically.
Izuku and Bakugou flinched, memories of Aldera, their childhood, and even Bakugou's bad sides in U.A. already resurfacing, mainly Bakugou's petty jealousy and Midoriya paying the price for it.
"I thought humans were more evolved than this." Thor jumped into the argument.
"Excuse me, did we come to your planet and blow stuff up?" Aizawa questioned, facing All Might's counterpart, while Izuku and Katsuki continued arguing.
"They're turning on each other." All Might grumbled worryingly. "And we aren't helping either."
Aizawa could not help but agree with All Might, practically glaring at himself to stop with his useless arguing and focus on Loki.
"You treat you champions with such mistrust." Thor argued back.
"Are you boys really that naïve?" Ochaco asked. "S.H.I.E.L.D. monitors potential threats."
"Captain America's on threat watch?" Banner questioned incredulously as the screen moved past him.
"We all are." Romanoff replied, the Scepter front and center on the screen.
"Heh, Banner kind of makes it sound like Cap isn't much a of threat." Kamakiri teased.
"I'm pretty sure he meant that Captain America is too loyal and good to ever become a threat against his country." Shoda argued back.
Izuku blinked surprised. He knows that its smart and understandable to watch him in case anything bad happens, but Izuku couldn't help but frown at the clear mistrust and feel a little hurt by it.
"Wait you're on that list?" Katsuki asked as the screen begun to spin over the Scepter..."Are you above or below angry bees?"
"What's going on here?" Sato questioned, confused for the turning of the screen.
"Stark, so help me God, if you make one more wisecrack-" Izuku growled out annoyed, the hum of the Scepter growing more audible and louder.
"C-Could it be that the Scepter is doing this?" Izuku wondered.
"It looks and sounds that way." Kyouka said, fiddling with her jacks. "The things humming and everything."
"This Scepter does appear to have power over minds." Melissa said. "Its able to brainwash people and send mental images and have mental communications from anywhere. Maybe its using some mental ability or field that's preying on the six of them."
"A telepathic field that is fueling their frustrations and anger and making them turn on each other." Mandalay said. "That kind of ability seems so specific that it might require a level of sentience."
"They claimed that the Tesseract and the gem of this Scepter are similar to each other." Tiger pointed out. "And if the Tesseract can act on a level close to sentience, then perhaps this gemstone can too."
"Threat! Verbal threat. I feel threatened." Katsuki exclaimed, the screen fully showing the Scepter upside down.
"Show some respect." Izuku angrily said, the screen now showing the group upside too.
"Respect what?" Katsuki questioned, his comeback and the arguing between all of them drowned out and indistinguishable over the Scepter's hum.
"This is bad." Itsuka said. "This is really, Really bad."
The counterparts of the arguing six felt like screaming at themselves to stop arguing, with each feeling a level of guilt. Jurota felt guilty for starting this argument with his demand of an answer and for contributing to angering himself and further putting them all in danger from his transformation. All Might's guilt resided in his presence and fight against Loki in Thor leading S.H.I.E.L.D. to make this Phase 2 and for letting this happen by the domino effect that was his banishment. Aizawa gripped his seat, screaming mentally at himself to stop this illogical argument and realize that he is being played. Ochaco felt guilty mostly over bringing the group here together and start this argument and for being suspicious over her friends and, especially, Deku. Bakugou and Izuku both are shouting at themselves to stop fighting, for their counterparts to not be so much like themselves and focus on Loki.
Meanwhile, Eri started to whimper seeing her family fight each other when they should be friends.
The scene suddenly changed to an imaging of the Scepter, which fitted its current upside down state, on the screen of a Quinjet. "Transport Six-Six-Bravo, please relay confirm codes." A female agent said over the radio as it two pilots flew towards the now visible Helicarrier. "I've got you on the computer, but not on the day log. What is your haul? Over."
"Arms and ammunition. Over." The pilot responded.
In the back, multiple men were seen gearing up in tactical gear, weapons locked and loaded, and, most frightening and worrying of all, Hawkeye taking out and readying his bow.
"Oh no." Pony said horrified.
"Shit!" Shinsou cursed.
"They were tracking the Scepter!" Momo exclaimed, wide eyed. "Loki let himself get captured not just to breed mistrust among themselves and unleash the Hulk, but for Barton to track him to the Helicarrier via the Scepter!"
"That is plan is brilliant as it is terrible." Sen commented.
Monoma agreed with his classmate, once more cursing his brilliantly evil counterpart, while still retaining hope that there was a chance he was being just as manipulated as they were.
"You speak of control yet you court chaos." Thor replied to an unknown argument as the scene changed back to the group.
"That's his M.O., isn't it?" Banner replied. "I mean, what are we, a team? No no no, we're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. W-We're a time bomb."
"I'm the time bomb." Jurota muttered miserably, whilst his classmates comforted him.
"You Need to step away." Aizawa ordered urgently.
"Why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?" Bakugou's counterpart questioned as he placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder.
"You know damn well why. Back off!" The counter to Midoriya yelled as he knocked away Katsuki's hand.
"Oh boy, this is going to get ugly." Mineta whimpered. "I can feel it."
"Oh, I'm starting to want you to make me." Katsuki said.
"Yeah. Big man in a suit of armor." Izuku replied as he circled the billionaire. "Take that off, what are you?"
"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." Stark listed off bluntly, Ochaco cocked her head in 'Good point'.
"True?" Kirishima said, confused whether to be agreeing with Bakugou or telling him to quit it.
"I know guys with none of that worth ten of you." Izuku replied brutally.
Almost all of the group released exhales and hisses of awkward pain.
Kirishima felt torn apart. He felt his manly drive to defend his friend rise up to the surface, but kept it down, trying to rationalize that it must be Loki's fault through the Scepter and that Bakugou's counterpart wasn't making it any better by challenging Rogers. The rest of the Bakusquad felt the same, especially Mina, who felt torn by her feeling for Midoriya and her friendship with Bakugou.
Izuku looked horrified at what he just said, and more horrified that a dark, bitter part of himself was agreeing with himself.
Bakugou's eyes were shadowed by his hair, yet his shaking body and gritting teeth were clear. He shook with hurt, angered pride and, shown through his shadowed eyes, and the guilt and weigh of his past sins, both in that world and his own, coming back to haunt his mind, Izuku's words echoing in his mind.
"Yeah, I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself." Rogers continued firing off. "You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you."
Bakugou gritted his teeth harder, Izuku's words playing over and over as he remembered every bullying act of Midoriya, that cursed day and his cursed words, his selfish desire to be Number 1 just for his ego and taking it out on Deku, to the point he nearly killed him in his rage.
'Stop it, stop it, stop it!' Midoriya mentally yelled at both his counterpart and his inner self, to stop the haunted memories of their past, trying to remind himself about Bakugou's changes, from his guilt over All Might's retirement, his honest friendship with his classmates like Kirishima, his own show of support, and working with his team. 'He's changed. He's changed.'
Ibara wanted to be angry at Midoriya for what he said to Bakugou, but she knew that the super-soldier wasn't in the right state of mind, and to not cast her own anger towards her world's innocent Midoriya. She still looked over to her crush with worry and sadness.
The girls looked to their crush, saddened to see the obvious pain his own words were causing Izuku, just as much as it did towards Bakugou. Uraraka's more bitter side wanted to agree with Rogers so much, but both Bakugou and Stark had changed for the better, fight for others, and, despite how much she disapproves of his methods and his attitude, he is worthy to be a Hero. While Melissa comforted a whimpering Eri, seeing her Papa and Uncle Kacchan fighting, she looked to an obviously suffering Deku with great concern and took his hand and started to comfort him in return.
Setsuna did the same, detaching one of her to grab Izuku's other hand. She flinched at the force of it, but held his hand anyways.
"I think I would just cut the wire." Stark retorted.
Even the teachers and pros felt the awkward, heavy tension to be unbearable. Aizawa gritted his teeth, greatly angered that his students of another world were tearing each other apart so irrationally. All Might's foot tapped rapidly, worryingly looking back and forth between Izuku and Bakugou and their video selves, knowing just how damaging this was doing to the both of them, and the likely painful past that this was dredging back up.
Izuku scoffed and chuckled dryly. "Always a way out." Izuku said. "You know, you may not be a threat, but you better Stop Pretending to be a Hero."
The whole of the room went completely silent as aa graveyard. Eyes were raised high with complete horror. Their bodies froze, unsure of what to do.
Setsuna, Itsuka, and Aizawa barely snapped out of it enough to hold an enraged Ibara from lashing out towards Midoriya and strangling him to death.
'D-Deku...lovable Hero fanboy Deku-' Uraraka thought horrified, hands clasped over her open mouth.
'-He told someone...told Bakugou-' Kirishima continued the train of thought, horrified and righteously angry.
'-To stop being a Hero.' Todoroki finished that thought, even himself petrified at what the hell the heard.
'This...This is impossible. Inconceivable.' Iida tried denying relentlessly.
'No matter who they were, Young Midoriya would never say this.' All Might too denied. 'This must be some kind of mistake!'
But none were more horrified and devastated then Izuku and Bakugou themselves. The two practically slumped into their seats, broken internally. Bakugou's teeth stopped gritting, looking up at the screen, his eyes conveying pure shock and defeat. Deku, the annoying, shitty, well-meaning and ever-hopeful nerd, who always fought tooth and nail to be a Hero despite his Quirklessness, despite everything he did to him to prove him wrong, the same annoying nerd that has always followed and stood by him and saw the best in him...told him to stop being a Hero.
Whether he'd want to admit it or not, a part of his heart felt broken.
Izuku's heart felt shattered too. Slumped in his seat, he stared at the words his own counterpart spoke with absolute horror. Izuku looking down at his hands with disgust and terror, self-hatred imploding forth as he felt close to throwing up at his own hypocrisy. 'How could I ever say such a thing?' Izuku thought horrified and disgusted. 'How could I ever something like this despite what and he both experience. If he thought something like this...c-could that mean that I feel the same, deep down.' He remembered all the beatings, all the puke and blood spilled, all the wounds, bruises, and burns given to him by Bakugou, hear the jeers, snickers, laughter, insults, and names that Bakugou threw in his face...the words Bakugou tossed at him. And in all of them, he could still feel the bitter hatred and resentment that he always buried deep down.
'D-Do I still feel so angry and hateful of what he did?' Izuku thought utterly lost and broken. 'H-Have I truly not forgiven him?'
"A Hero? Like you?" Katsuki questioned, clear anger in his eyes. "You're a laboratory experiment, Deku. Everything special about you came out of a bottle."
If the tension and silence of the room was bad enough, it became straight unbearable now.
Ibara froze, looking at her boyfriend from another world, shocked, her rage subsiding, for a bit, now unsure what to do.
Setsuna froze, stopped trying to hold Shiozaki back. Now, with the words in her mind and the memories of the pain both Rogers and Izuku, as much as she knew, in her mind, Setsuna saw red and was now the one being held by Itsuka and Aizawa from murdering Bakugou.
Kirishima was hopelessly lost. Whatever righteous anger he felt to speak against Rogers and Izuku had now vanished into utter confusion, shock, anger, and horror at his best friend's words. He didn't know who's side to pick, which friend to stand behind and defend, or what to do.
The girls were silent and frozen, till they all turned in unison, slowly, their eyes of pure anger finding their target. It took all of Momo's willpower and reason to not immediately blast Bakugou with a cannon, the same for Mei to not capture and torture the explosive blonde. Mina looked absolutely ready to lunge at Bakugou, their, now strained, friendship as part of the Bakusquad, and her sibling-like friendship with Kirishima, being the only thing that kept her in her seat and the acid in her hand to only burn her seat. Uraraka and Nejire however were immediately held back by a, also angered yet holding back, Asui and Tamaki.
Todoroki froze at Stark's words, especially at the words 'lab experiment'. Memories of the abuse from his father, the brutal training of his childhood, the constant words proclaiming him as being borne solely for his father's goal, made the white and red haired teen feel like a lab experiment himself, a dog bred specifically for another's purpose...and with the words now being said to his best friend that made him see himself as more than that now being called that made the sparks of flames from his left side grow more frequent and his temperature rising hotter and hotter.
Bakugou looked close to puking. He's said the name so many times, even today, but hearing the name he branded Izuku for the rest of his life come out the mouth of another him, and the words that followed, words that he knew carried more terrible weight and consequence when compared to here, made the memories of the dark past past explode out. His drink fell off and spilled to the floor. Bakugou looked down to the spreading liquid and saw himself staring back, in his Aldera uniform, hands popping in explosions as he laughed mockingly and villainously with a sick smile.
"Stop pretending to be a Hero." Rogers's words repeated over and over in his mind, mixing with his own mocking laughter. It repeated and repeated, over and over, till the words started to change. His dark reflection disappeared and was replaced by De-Izuku, Aldera uniform and skinny as before, but with burn marks in the shape of a hand over the right side of his face, a trail of leaking blood running down his forehead and down his left side, lips bruised and swollen, and pale and half dead. He realized then that the blood running down mirage Izuku's head...was from the caved in side of Izuku's head, from the fall he told him to take.
'Stop pretending to have changed.' Mirage Izuku spoke and joined Rogers's words. 'You can never change.' The words repeated, mixing with Rogers's and his own laughter, his eyes shaking and widening like he was going mad.
'Everything special about you came out of bottle.' Izuku muttered in his mind, just as miserable. His emerald eyes looked dead inside, hollow, tired, and empty. His mind took him back to the day he received One For All, from All Might's hair, to all the things he had accomplished, all the lives he saved, all the dreams he was living...from a Quirk he was given. His thoughts changed to nearly drowning from the Sludge Villains, nearly failing the Entrance Exam from not scoring a single Villain point, almost getting expelled by coming last in Aizawa's test, not winning the Sports Festival like All Might wanted, all the times he broke his limbs and became a liability, failing to save Bakugou from the Villains, failing to save Eri the first time, failing to save Mirio from having his Quirk erased or Nighteye from death.
Deku's drink fell at the same time as Bakugou's and he saw his own reflection of his skinny self looking at himself with hate-filled eyes. 'Everything special about you came from Quirk that wasn't yours.' Other Deku mocked him over and over, till he was replaced by Aldera Bakugou, eyes glowing pure red and hands exploding like that fateful day, mockingly yelling the same thing and joining Stark, himself, and past Bakugou's words, berating and mocking him.
The two couldn't hear the words from Eri, Setsuna, Ibara, Melissa, Uraraka, Kirishima, or anyone else. The two felt trapped in an endless void of suffering of the mistakes of the past and their own self-hatred and words.
Then Izuku felt him being dragged to his feet and led on. His eyes found Bakugou's reflection. Blinking in recognition, Deku looked up to met Bakugou's own, just as surprised at the sudden change. Deku realized the arm around his shoulder and looked to its bearer: All Might.
The Symbol of Peace looked at his two students, one his protégé and the other another walking in his footsteps. He saw how his son in all but blood and his former bully were wallowing in a despair of their own making, of a past they can never change or take back, of all the mistakes they made along the way. He breathed deeply and began to speak.
"Bullshit." All Might finally spoke. Izuku and Bakugou looked to their idol in confusion and surprise. "What the two of them said, its all bullshit. And the two of you know it too."
"Young Bakugou," All Might looked to Katsuki. "You know that despite everything, that you have changed, and for the better. Both you and Stark. The beginning of this year, you would rather lead yourself to failure then work with a partner or a team. You saw yourself as invincible and others beneath you. Stark was much the same. Choosing self-interest and profit for blind ignorance and lives taken. But now look at you two. You feel guilt over your mistakes and failings, you recognize your own weaknesses and grow from them, you worked with others and counted on them, and work everyday to be better than who you were before. And Stark, yourself, he has changed. He puts the safety of others before profit, he keeps his armor to himself to protect others from themselves, he appreciates and expresses it to his friends and those he cares for, he grew from the resentment and mistakes of his past and his father, and was willing to sacrifice himself for others. You and Stark do not need to pretend to be Heroes, for both of you Are Heroes. Rogers has seen footage, he has not seen the reason, nor the Heart."
Bakugou was completely shocked, no retort nor angry proclaim to be shouted.
"And you, Young Midoriya," All Might turned to his successor and His boy. "You know fully well, out of anyone here, that its not a power that makes one special. Its not the Quirk or serum that made you or Rogers truly special. You two faced much setbacks, much failure, much hurdles and trials. A year ago, you couldn't control your Quirk, a fault entirely of my own doing. You've stumbled, you fallen behind, you've loss and damaged yourself many times. And look at Rogers. He fell behind his fellow soldiers, he was setback and rejected many times, and many looked at him and told him no, just like you. You both gained powers of your own, but it was never the power that made the two of you special. It was this." All Might tapped his finger at Midoriya's head. "And this." He pressed his finger as Deku's heart. "You passed the Entrance Exam by saving Young Uraraka, sacrificing yourself, even if it meant no points. You stayed in the Hero Course because of your mind and resourcefulness. You gained control and made your Quirk your own in less than a year while others took their whole lives. And despite the obstacles and new changes, you always pushed forward and proved yourself more than worthy. You sacrificed your own body over and over, always for the sake of victory, and, more importantly, the safety, well-being, and good of others, whether they wanted to or not, like a true Hero. And Rogers is the same. It was his mind and valor that won him the serum, not strength. It was his courage and heart that saved Barnes and those captured men and made you a true soldier. It was his heart and shortcomings that kept him a good, heroic, selfless, and compassionate man. And it was his willingness to sacrifice everything, including his own life, that saved the world from Red Skull's tyranny. Stark may be right that you are powerful because of something you were given, but he was wrong in that it made you two special. You and Rogers are worthy and special because you failed and fallen, but always got back up and never gave up."
Midoriya, for once, was at a loss of words, tears welling in his eyes, yet kept them back.
"You two know that whatever history the two of you share is but a memory and past, a past that the two of you should not be shackled by. Neither the two of you, nor them." All Might spoke to them both. "Whatever words may be said can always be forgiven and put in the past." Bakugou looked to Midoriya. "And whatever feelings may be hurt can always be mended and given a second chance." Deku looked back to Kacchan. "I do not ask for the two of you to forget what was said, nor will I say excuses for either of them. Just remember their words and prove the other wrong and keep moving forward to be Worthy, True Heroes."
Izuku and Katsuki looked at each other, All Might's words taking root as the jeers and words that plagued them both went silence. Izuku wiped away the tears from his eyes and smiled at Kacchan. Katsuki at first scoffed and looked away before, his scoff quickly broke and a small smile wretched free from his prideful façade, sending that smile an nod to Deku. They turned to All Might and nodded, grateful. The Symbol of Peace smiled and brought the two into a hug.
The group watched with smiles and approving nods. The Heroes and teachers smirked fondly, seeing All Might be the same, inspiring Symbol of Peace he always is. The guys smiled and sighed, relieved that All Might managed to come to the emotional rescue. Kirishima and Mineta both wailed dramatically, the latter for drama's sake and the former muttering about All Might being the Manliest of Men.
Mina, Hagakure, Pony, and Kinoko cooed happily, Mina sighing in relief in both her friend and her crush doing well, while Mina had Momo make her some napkins. Speaking of, Momo and the rest smiled happily at Izuku and Bakugou being saved, emotionally, by their idol and Hero.
Midoriya hugged back while Bakugou, as always, fought back the affection. The two looked at the pools of drinks and the dark reflections of themselves and the other. Deku saw his younger self smile before fading away, leaving only the past Bakugou, however he has no red eyes, no menacing grin, or exploding hands, just silent and waiting. And for Kacchan, he saw his dark self fading away, howling and roaring as he disintegrated away, with only past Midoriya left, no scars, no burns, no blood or wound, just there, waiting.
'The feelings are still there, the bitterness, the anger.' Izuku said in his mind. 'But I will overcome them and truly forgive him. In time.'
'I still haven't asked for forgiveness, and I don't think I'm ready to say it now.' Katsuki thought. 'But I will say it one day, when I can admit and ask it in front of everyone, unafraid.'
The three returned to their seats. Izuku was met by a comforting hug from Eri and Uraraka, the latter's hug Izuku found ironic, given his recent comforting hug to her, yet immensely appreciated. He would later be given comforting hands on his shoulder from Shoto, Iida, Mirio, and Kouta, and even more hugs from the rest of his female classmates. The most meaningful to him was Setsuna's, who threw caution to the wind and floated her upper body towards him and wrapped him up in a hug. The two would be unable to remove the blush from their faces, but didn't care in the slightest.
For Bakugou, he was met by the one-armed hug of Kirishima and Kaminari, along with hand son his shoulder from the rest of the guys around him. Uncharacteristically, the ash-blonde teen did not react violently or reject the shows of care and comfort. Even Mina gave the explosive teen a hug after she hugged Deku tightly. But what mattered more to Bakugou was his wrist wrapped tightly, yet comforting by a green vine, to which he simply smiled and squeezed the hair in a show of appreciation. The vine hair's shudder and Ibara's red face made his smile transform into a shit eating grin.
Meanwhile, Hawkeye pressed a button, the bay doors of the Quinjet opening as they flew over the Helicarrier. Barton brought out one arrow out of his quiver, aimed the bow towards one of the engines, then shifted and aimed to the left and let the arrow loose. The arrow flew through the air before the wind slowed and shifted its course towards where he was aiming: near the side of the engine, the arrow landing and attaching to the wall and beeping.
"Oh and I forgot that during all of what just happened, that this was still going on." Kaminari said.
"Despite what he is doing being bad right not, I gotta saw that aim and read was masterful." Snipe complimented. "Probably better than me."
"Is that what I think it is?" Ectoplasm asked with worry.
"Yep, its an explosive arrow." Power Loader responded with a grim frown.
Izuku smirked, the rage in his eyes betraying the smile. "Put on the suit." Izuku said. "Let's go a few rounds."
"And we forgot that while Midoriya and Bakugou are alright, these two aren't." Ojiro pointed out.
"Though who would win if Captain America and Iron Man fought?" Sato asked. "I mean Midoriya's strong and all, but Bakugou can fly and fire lasers and missiles."
"True, but Rogers's super strength would contest and surpass Stark's, while he has the suit, and his indestructible shield can both defend against most of Iron Man's weapons, but also be used offensively well." Tokoyami argued.
The idea of a challenge between the two the see who was the strongest sounded appealing to the two childhood friends. Despite their recent episode and current hostility between their counterparts, the question of who was the best and who would win was a contagious thought to the battle hungry Bakugou and nerdy Midoriya. They just hoped that that fight would not be now, and well-meaning sparring.
Thor's laughter snapped the two from their glares. "You people are so petty, and tiny." Thor mocked.
"Agent Romanoff," Aizawa spoke up, as Izuku and Bakugou blinked in slight confusion, Katsuki rubbing his head as if it ached, a light hum in the air. "Would you escort Dr. Banner back to his-"
"Wait, did you see that?" Mei pointed out, zooming on the two.
"Yeah, and did you all hear that light hum?" Kyouka added. "Could that have been the Scepter at work?"
"Possibly." Iida replied. "If the Scepter's gem does indeed have the power to control and manipulate the mind, then it would explain Rogers's and Stark's hostility towards each other."
"Where?" Bruce asked. "You rented my room."
"Ouch." Sen hissed.
"The cell was just in case-" Aizawa began saying.
"In case you needed to kill me." Bruce interrupted again. "But you can't. I know, I tried."
The room went silent and eyes went wide again for the umpteenth time today. Eyes shifted towards Jurota who stared at the screen, just as surprised as everyone else's.
Responding to the looks from the group, Bruce said "I got low. I didn't see an end. So, I put a bullet in my mouth, and the Other guy spit it out."
"Jurota." Itsuka said worryingly. "Have you ever-"
"No." Jurota was quick to say. "Despite my hardships, I have never once thought of that as an option. Though I understand why my counterpart attempted, and only wish that someone was there to help him through that phase."
Izuku smiled, happy and impressed with Shishida's resilience and strength. 'That makes one of us.' Izuku thought.
"While I don't want to disregard Banner's suicide attempt, messed up and sad, but doesn't the fact that he is alive prove that whole regeneration thing we talked about?" Honenuki asked.
"Now that you mention it, yeah, it does." Itsuka said. "It saved Banner from dying with its own existence and if it healed a botched suicide attempt, then the Hulk does give Banner regeneration powers, even from death."
"The price however seems that it requires to transform into the Hulk, which I imagine would not be a desirable outcome." Edgeshot replied.
"So I moved on." Banner continued. "I focused on helping other people. I was good. Until you dragged me back into this freak show, and put everyone here at risk." As Bruce ranted, his body shifted and moved, his hands unseen by the screen, yet Romanoff and Thor stood still and ready.
"He's getting angry." Pony pointed out worryingly.
"Is that why Ochaco and All Might look ready to fight him?" Kyouka thought.
Izuku narrowed his eyes at Bruce's arms and the way they moved in comparison of where Banner was in the room. "No." Izuku said. "Its not just that."
"You want to know my secret, Agent Romanoff?" Bruce growled out. "You want to know how I stay calm?"
"Um, no?" Uraraka replied.
'Please, please, calm down, my other self.' Jurota pleaded with his counterpart.
As he finished, Izuku and Katsuki likewise stood tense and ready, Ochaco and Aizawa's hands slowly landing on their guns at their sides.
"Dr. Banner," Rogers spoke up, gaining Bruce's attention. "Put down the Scepter."
Bruce looked down at his left hand, blinking in surprise to find the Scepter in his grasp, the gem humming and flashing for a second.
"Oh." Kyouka simply said. "That's why."
"Even Banner looks confused." Kosei said. "Was it the Scepter that made him do that, or was it the Hulk guy influencing him?"
"I'd say the Scepter." Shoda replied. "It glowed and hummed for a second, and it was already messing with Stark and Rogers."
"Good point." Kosei nodded.
Before Bruce could reply to what happened, the computer scanning for the Tesseract beeped, indicating that it was found. The blare of the computer drew all their attention. "Got it." Katsuki spoke up.
"Phew, they found the Tesseract." Melissa sighed. "Now they can stop fighting and find Daddy."
Bruce sighed frustrated and placed the Scepter back down on the table. "Sorry, kids, you don't get to see my party trick after all." Bruce said as he walked over the computer.
Jurota sighed, relieved that his counterpart wasn't going to transform.
"You located the Tesseract?" Thor asked.
"I could get there fastest." Stark said.
"The Tesseract belongs on Asgard." Thor roared out in response. "No human is a match for it."
"Pretty much." Miruko shrugged. "The last time someone tried to use it, he got blasted into space."
"I have a feeling that Aizawa and those board members of S.H.I.E.L.D. will try to have a say in the matter." Ryukyu said.
"You're not going alone." Izuku grabbed Katsuki's arm before he could leave.
"You're gonna stop me?" Katsuki growled, smacking away Izuku's hand.
"Put on the suit. Let's find out." Izuku said as the two went back to glaring at each other, Aizawa looking in worry.
"I'm not afraid to hit an old man." Stark mocked the super soldier.
"Put on the suit." Izuku growled out again.
"STOP FIGHTING WITH THE DAMN NERD, YOU PRIDEFUL IDIOT!" Bakugou roared at himself.
"If he said this two days ago, I would think that this is the first time Bakugou would call himself an idiot." Kaminari whispered to Mineta, who snickered.
Bruce removed his glasses as he looked at the results of where the Cube was. "Oh my God." He gasped in horror.
Hawks's quick eyes managed to spot and recognize where the Tesseract is, his eyes widened in response. "Fuck." He cursed.
Just as he looked up to speak, Hawkeye pressed a button on his bow and the arrow he launched exploded, the back left engine consumed in fire and smoke.
"NO!" Shinsou yelled at himself too.
Flames rushed and flew through the vents and ended up exploding outward in the middle of the lab, knocking all seven of them backwards. All Might was blasted by towards the left door and Aizawa backwards to one end of the room. Izuku and Katsuki dropped to the floor by the right door.
"IZUKU!"/"KATSUKI!" Setsuna and Ibara yelled in worry.
"UNCLE MIGHT!"/TOSHI!" Melissa and David shouted worryingly for Thor/All Might.
"SHOUTA!" Midnight and Mic yelled. Aizawa meanwhile gritted his teeth, blaming himself for joining in their argument instead of focusing on the Tesseract or his brainwashed protégé.
Ochaco and Jurota's counterparts flew and crashed through the back windows of the lab, falling down to dark room, shattered glass and broken pipes landing on them.
"OCHACO!" Izuku yelled worried, half rising from his seat in worry.
"JUROTA!" Itsuka and the rest of Class 1-B yelled as well.
Pieces of the Helicarrier broke off and fell down to the ground way below.
Izuku and Katsuki looked at each other as they recovered. "Put on the suit." Izuku said, urgently.
"Yeah." Katsuki agreed, the two getting back up and rushing out the door.
"Well, at least you two found something to agree on." Kaminari said, trying to look on the bright side.
Bakugou would have to thank Jirou later for taking the initiative and punishing the blonde with an jack in the ear
AAAANNNNNNDDDD SCENE! Whew! Finally finished. And just in time for Halloween so I guess I was right in the author's note above. My apologies for such a long wait, and I really no true excuse other than I was feeling very lethargic and tired. Plus, I was very absorbed into watching Season 2 of Demon Slayer and Season 4 of Young Justice, which I hope will be better than the iffy, chaotic season that was Season 3.
But on the bright side, with what's happening in the manga, I guess I can brag about predicting the future by having Aizawa as Fury.
Anyways, what do you guys and gals think of this chapter? Good, a bit much, too vomit inducing. I find this chapter and part of Avengers fitting for October with how I looked into Uraraka's fear from Loki's words, and Deku and Bakugou's own fears, where Bakugou feels he will never escape from the shadow of his former life and Deku feeling that he is unable to be a worthy successor to All Might. Also its this very argument between Rogers and Stark that pretty much cemented Bakugou as Stark and Deku as Rogers for me.
And what did you guys think of that very gorey fearful vision of Uraraka? A bit much, maybe, but I was in a horror, thriller movie mood at the time and I decided to bring up a slimmer of the darkest, most stomach-churning imagination in my psychotic mind. Trust me when I say, I could have written Worse. But what did you guys think of Shinsou's friendship and offer to join the Dekusquad from Uraraka? Felt that Uraraka would definitely make that offer to Shinsou seeing as he and Midoriya have a respectful rivalry and friendship that they showed during their match in the Joint Training Exercise.
Also, yes it is a confirmed fact that Loki was under a similar brainwashing from the Mind Stone, courtesy of Thanos, to which I highlighted via the moments where Loki's eyes flashed a momentary blue like his own brainwashed victims show.
Another thing I tried hard was the mischief and mistrust growing between the Avengers and the beginnings of conflict within the group itself. Such as by them arguing about the morality and logic behind the Phase 2 protocol, the rivalry between Rogers and Stark, and Loki's willingness to get caught and his plan to unleash the Hulk.
As for the talk between Katsuki and Bruce, yes, that whole extra part where they discussed Abomination and Hulk's fight was purely fan-made by myself and made to excuse the absence of Incredible Hulk and give context to Banner's line of 'breaking Harlem'.
With all that said, I hope you liked the chapter guys, I won't promise to be faster in putting these out since I'm not good at making those promises, but I will try. And, if I can channel of bit of the chaotic Sigma energy of Michael Reeves for minute, if I get anymore flooding of 'When's the next chapter' messages or impatient 'come on's', I will take longer to write these just to spite you(jk). Anyways, leave your comments and thoughts in the reviews below, get vaccinated so that we can put to rest this pandemic before another virus decides to come out, comment what other counterpart predictions there will be, and keep each other safe.
This has been Zayden StormVoid and I shall now eat this bento that I was given. *Munch* UMAI!
