43. Rewrite

This is not a new chapter, and for that I apologise. I also apologise for there not being any new chapters almost a year.

I have tried writing chapters for this fanfiction during this long hiatus, but I would always lose motivation to finish them, no matter how much I tried. After realising it has been almost a year since the last chapter, my mind is currently set on rewriting this fanfiction. I will not get rid of this one, and the new one will not be a copy and paste of this.

My reasons for this is because I am unhappy with my past writing style and how this fanfiction turned out. There are too many characters and I threw some in out of a whim; I tired to involve the RWBY characters in some convoluted sub-plot that I had no plan behind and went nowhere; and I rushed and wrote chapters for the sake of clicks instead of enjoyment. I even stopped accepting reader requests, which I am starting to think might have been a mistake on my part. These mistakes I hope to not repeat with this new fanfiction, if you are onboard with it.

Essentially, I want to do better by myself and you, the readers. Hopefully this will reignite that spark I had when I started all this to begin with.

If I go through with this, I will let you all know. That is a big if, though, for if I feel the rewrite is unfulfilling and encounter the same problems I have with here, I will scrap the idea and likely discontinue this fanfiction as well.
