Chapter Three

A Sticky Situation

Tim and Phoebe tried to open the windows (that are usually open, well at least one) to enter the classroom but they were sealed shut. They then decided to try the front doors to the school. Luckily they were open. As Tim and Phoebe their walk down the corridors began to become a fast jaywalk "At my old school, the front doors were never open when no teachers were around" Phoebe says using her old well know saying. Tim smiled remembering how he use to enjoy hearing Phoebe saying "At my old school...". As they were passing closed doors to classrooms and lockers the sound of buzzing out louder. Tim and Phoebe saw the Staff Room "Hey Phoebe, maybe we should take a look into the Staff Room to see if any other teachers are round" Tim said to Phoebe. Phoebe agreed with a short simple "Ok" as they went towards the Staff Room to find the door to the room was also shut. With a firm grip Tim turned the door handle and slowly opened the door. Tim and Phoebe poked their heads into the room to find that their was no teacher in site but the lights and coffee machine were on. "Hel...!" Tim shouted right before Phoebe quickly covered his mouth with her hand "Hey Tim, maybe not such a good idea, i have a strange feeling about this" she whispered to him. Tim nodded and mumbled still with Phoebe's hand over his mouth, Phoebe presumed that it was a simple "Yes" or "Ok". She made a small smile to Tim and suggested they continued on their way to Ms Frizzle's classroom while closing the door gently to the Staff Room.
