After Enigma, Dr. Jackson, forced to flee earth to escape imprisonment for treason, takes refuge with the Nox, who tell him of a powerful but shadowy race, planning the Goa'uld's downfall, and advise him to take refuge with them to find asylum and a means to rescue Sha're. This race is revealed to be the Furlings, a newly returned player on the galactic stage. BEING REWRITTEN.

A/N: I started this story almost five years ago, and in those intervening years, Ripples in the Deep has amassed over 35K views and nearly 150 followers. Also in those almost five years, I have developed greatly as a writer, and I have grown very dissatisfied with some characterizations and plot points and aspects of character development within this story. Thus, this story will no longer be updated, but I have uploaded the first chapter of the rewritten version of this story-The Forgotten Shall Return-which can be found on my profile. Thank you so much to those who have so faithfully followed this story for years and have left me wonderful reviews. I hope you will come read and follow the new version of this story, which I hope you will find to be even better.
