Chapter Six:

Enuma couldn't resist the urge to massage her temples in frustration as the professor left the first years in the hallway and let them simply chat, feeling her headache from the train returning to the front. Really wishing that she had her headphones and could put some music on to drown out the noise of the hallway. Something that Shalltear noticed, prompting the Vampire to walk up to her King and try to help her relieve her headache.

"Headache from before is back?" Asked Shalltear in a rather low voice that was definitely drowned out by surrounding chatter, making it rather difficult for any unwanted ears to pick up what she said.

"Yes." Replied Enuma in an equally low voice.

"Ouch. That oughta stink. Want me to help you get rid of it?"

"Assuming our intel regarding how this sorting goes hasn't changed, which is unlikely considering how conservative wizards are, feel free to make me pass out with a bite and drink… assuming that we both end up in the same house and as roommates without anyone else becoming a third wheel."

"We'll definitely end up in the same place and since I'll most likely be amongst the first to be sorted, I'll make sure to display the appropriate traits that fit the place where you're most likely gonna end up. Which, given your personality is most likely gonna be-" Shalltear's rather enthusiastic, but still quiet, explanation was cut short by the professor who had introduced herself as Professor McGonagall returning to let the first years into the Great Hall.

"We're ready to receive you all." Stated the professor calmly, causing just about every single first year to stand attentively, even if a few were more relaxed than others. Enuma and Shalltear being amongst the more relaxed ones, who couldn't help but release a snot of amusement when they heard one of others, probably Ronald Weasley based on the voice, state that their older brothers claimed that they had to fight a troll of all things.

"Oh? Sounds fun, but I think it's more likely that those brothers are the real trolls… did I use the term correctly?" Wondered Shalltear as the first years entered the Great Hall, not entirely sure if she used the slang term for a person who liked to mess with people correctly.

"Shalltear…"

"Yes?"

"If you want to fight something there's an entire forest filled with various beasts in need of some culling. I think you've never fought anything like those things before, but if you have it was probably a very long time ago. And yes. That was the correct use of the term troll."

"Now that sounds like fun, good practice and maybe profitable. I don't want my skills to get rusty."

"Are you referring to your skills with the Spuit Lance, with magic or combat in general?"

"Yes."

"*snot* cheeky little bat."
