While the majority of the Hufflepuffs were more than a little weary of Enuma at first, mainly because of her very unusual choice of pets, they learned that she was a very kind person and as a result calmed down around her over the course of the first week. Some of them even called her an angel, which was mostly met with amusement and her replying back that she was no Angel (not that anyone really noticed her saying the word Angel in a slightly different way than the others did, nor did they understand what Shalltear was laughing at whenever the redhead said that).
Though something that they were still weary of despite no longer being so of her owner was Cydaea the Taratect, mainly because of the nasty effect of the Taratect's venom. After all, no one wanted to be on the receiving end of such a nasty bite. They also made sure to keep their pets away from Cydaea, preventing the Taratect from eating them as it was rather obvious that Taratects were predators wherever they were from (a massive underground system of caves and tunnels underneath the Familiar Forest).
Of course, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Just about every single first year student, regardless of house, had unavoidable run ins with the blonde annoyance that was the Slytherin first year known as Draco Malfoy, who Enuma couldn't help but compare to the birdbrain that was a major pain in her big sister's side. Riser Phenex. The guy who once got bitten in the nuts by Cydaea when he was making Rias feel very uncomfortable. The main difference between the two being that Malfoy was mostly just annoying (and something of a wimp) whereas Riser actually was someone that made Enuma feel just as uncomfortable around as Rias did around the birdbrain. Uncomfortable enough to make her want to ensnare and restrain Riser with one of the treasures in the Gate of Babylon (Enkidu, the Chain of Heaven to be specific) and repeatedly impale the birdbrain with as many of the bladed treasures in the Gate of Babylon as possible until she runs out of places to impale the blonde Devil in.
Luckily for Malfoy though, Enuma was only annoyed by him and could easily ignore him and his very pathetic attempts of securing, in his words, a pair of mudbloods as his future concubine. That obviously didn't sit well with either one of the Devils and Enuma actually had to tell Shalltear not to kill him (but she didn't say anything about not scaring him), which resulted in Malfoy needing to find a new pair of pants after being on the receiving end of the Bloody Valkyrie's bloodlust. Though he wasn't the only one who needed to change pants that time since Shalltear didn't exactly direct her bloodlust at anyone in particular. The only one who didn't need to change their pants was Enuma, who was used to her Queen occasionally loosening her restraint on her bloodlust, mostly whenever Shalltear was in a particularly bad mood. The closest thing to a reaction that particular incident got out of the redhead was a snarky comment regarding the stench and brown pants.
