Here is a new chapter for everyone, thanks for those that gives me reviews.(Mask Rider Roy, thanks for the reviews. Check his works, they are great. Ps: loved Camie's Comfort! =D) I hope you all enjoy this chapter, we will have some good bonding of Izuku and Nejire and a little talk about his past and Nejire perspective about it.
"Nejire...Stop...Please..." Mirio was spinning around thanks to Nejire's quirk while she was using both water guns to splash water on his face.
"The mood was good Mirio. You made me waste a good opportunity to tease Izuku." Nejire had a pout on her face, Izuku look at her with a raised brow.
"What? You are mad for not teasing me?" Izuku was sitting at a table with Tamaki and Eri watching the scene laughing.
"Of course, this was a great chance to see you all embarrassed and cute." Her pout was adorable, she went to the pool to refill the guns, the people around them look at the scene with some amusement.
After a few minutes, Nejire let Mirio down, but he would have to buy the food for everyone.
After they bought everything, Izuku see them coming back and hear some people talking.
"That couple looks cute." A young woman said passing by.
"Are they models? They look amazing." A man said while looking at Nejire.
"Tall, blonde, blue eyes, ripped, I like it." A woman in her late 30 was almost drooling while looking at Mirio
"The girl is hot too, and that bikini leaves very little to the imagination." A man in his early 20 was with his friends looking at Nejire.
Izuku didn't like the way they are talking about his girlfriend and Mirio, he know that as heroes, people will talk about them all the time. But that doesn't mean he like that.
"They can talk whatever they want Izuku, but she is your girlfriend, your very supportive girlfriend, and Mirio has Kaoruko." Tamaki see that his kouhai didn't like what he was hearing.
"I know, as heroes, we will have people talking about us all the time." Izuku see they were there with the food.
"Hey guys, we got everything. Apple pie for Eri." Nejire starts giving everyone their food.
"Thank you Nejire!" Eri starts eating her pie and her face shines with her smile.
"Double cheeseburger with a lot of bacon, fries, and a large soda to Tamaki." Mirio gives the food to his friend.
"Thank you, Mirio." Tamaki starts to get his food and wait for everyone before start eating.
"A monster burger with extra cheese, special sauce, a large portion of fries, and extra-large cream soda for Izuku." Nejire gives everything to Izuku before looking at the amount of food. "Looks like our first date, we ate so much that made us sleepy!"
"Since this time Mirio senpai would be paying, I decided to enjoy it." He looks at Mirio and smiles.
"Yeah, enjoy your senpai having a hole in his wallet." He grabs his hotdog and juice before sitting beside Eri, but he was laughing the entire time.
"Food tastes better after a good workout, and splashing water at Mirio is the best exercise." Nejire was eating her Neapolitan ice cream besides Izuku.
She notices he keep looking around the whole time.
"Something wrong Izuku?" Nejire pokes his side to get his attention. "You keep looking around."
"No, Nothing!" He rubs the back of his head and went back to eating.
"You are not a good liar Izuku." Mirio says before taking another bite of his hotdog.
"I-I am not lying." Izuku raises his hands protectively.
"Tamaki, what happened?" Nejire asks her friend and Izuku gave him a look begging him to not say anything.
"Not my place to say, you can talk with him later if you want." He wouldn't make something to make his kouhai uncomfortable.
"Fine, we talk about it later." They went back to eating, but Izuku keep thinking about what he heard.
After they finish eating, Nejire decide to walk around with Izuku without the others, she was worried about what was on her boyfriend's head.
She was consulting the guide for anything that could help, she finds a chapter about talks between lovers.
'4 Step: Communication is crucial. If your lover is feeling down or doesn't want to talk about something. Make sure to make them feel comfortable first, then start talking about things they like.' Nejire read the guide while walking, she notices that he keep looking around the whole time.
"What are you looking around so much?" She was a curious person, and when he refused to say what was on his mind, this got her attention.
"I was just looking around, this place is so big that I can look around and still find something new." He was rubbing his head while looking at her.
"Yeah, this place is huge, but we walked around all day and did ride every slide. Eri had a lot of fun today." Nejire was watching him carefully.
"Yeah, she was laughing the whole time! I hope we can help her live a good life, she will never forget what she had to suffer, but at least she will have more good memories than bad ones." Izuku was being honest, he will do everything he can to help Eri.
"So, when will you fight Aizawa for the title of Eri papa?" Nejire joked a little to make him relax.
"What about Mirio? He will want that title too, three quirkless fighting will be interesting." Izuku laughs a little.
"Three? Why three?" Nejire had a raised brow.
"Aizawa sensei make people quirkless right? But his quirk would be useless against a quirkless person, or someone that is trained in close combat without their quirk." Izuku sees Nejire eyes widening in realization.
"Oh! You are right, but he is not the only one. Midnight, Snipe, Power Loader, etc. Their quirks require one thing to work, remove that and they become quirkless." Nejire never thought about that before.
"Exactly, many heroes actually fight quirkless." Izuku then got a sad smile on his face. "I was an idiot for not training instead of daydreaming."
"What do you mean?" She looks at him curiously.
"I am a late bloomer, My quirk only appeared on the day of the entrance exam, but I always wanted to be a hero." He sees that he have her full attention. "I spent my time daydreaming about becoming a hero and thinking about how cool would be to have a quirk."
"But if you thought you were quirkless, why didn't you train martial arts, or tried to build things like Hatsume, or tried to become a medic?" Nejire may not know his past, but she had raised some good points.
"Medic? How that would help?" He was curious why she would suggest that, All Might told him that he should become a police officer when they first meet.
"You always dreamed of saving people right? The medic would have been better than a hero then." She looks at him and sees clear confusion on his face. "You have a super-strength quirk right?"
"Not exactly, it is a stockpiling quirk." He doesn't know why, but he feels as if super strength wouldn't be a good description.
"Our quirks can't help people with terminal diseases, we can't simply destroy social issues with our quirks, we can't even save people that are injured, at the end of the day, the medics are the real heroes." Nejire sees that he was understanding what she means.
"So even if I was quirkless, I could still be a hero, I just never realized?" He knows that this doesn't matter now, he has a quirk and was at UA.
But why did he feel like this was something that he needed to hear?
"You said that you didn't train right? But I think the reason you never tried it is because you were so focused on the heroes on TV that you never thought about the heroes that aren't recognized for their work." Nejire see that he was looking at her as if she had told him something he never heard before.
"I was indeed an idiot, Tamaki senpai was right. You ARE my very supportive girlfriend." He laughs a little and sees her smiling at him.
"So that's what you were talking about?" She wasn't sure if now was a good moment, but she decides to risk it.
"I was just jealous, people were saying how much you and Mirio look great as a couple and I felt jealous." He looks at her a little embarrassed.
"You were jealous? Of Mirio?" She sees him nodding. "We will be heroes, people will talk a lot about us. Or do you think I will not hear girls talking about you?"
"I know It's silly, but I got a little jealous." Izuku then feels her putting both hands on his face and pulling him into a kiss.
They hear so whistles around them but decided to ignore them. They separate after a minute, it was a simple kiss, but Izuku understand that they were in public and couldn't do more.
"You are too cute for this world." She grabs his hand and start walking back to their group, it was almost time for them to go back.
"Thanks for not making fun of me, and for listening to what I said." He sees her looking over her shoulder with a big smile on her face.
"Who said I won't make fun of you? Your teasing start as soon we get back." She turns around and kisses him on the right cheek this time. "And I will be always here to listen."
They went back to the group and went to the car to go back to UA, the ride back was quiet since Eri was sleeping after playing so much.
"You seem in good mood Izuku!" Tamaki gave him a knowing smile, which was weird with the gloomy member of the big three.
"I had a good talk with my very supportive girlfriend." Izuku see Tamaki nodding with a small smile, he was happy for his kouhai.
"How about we get pizzas and watch a movie when Eri wakes up?" Mirio suggests while driving.
"Sure, it will be fun! Right Izuku?" Nejire turn to him and he couldn't help admire her.
"Yes, let's do it." He gave her a big smile before looking out the window. 'How different my childhood would be if someone had told me those words back then?'
Would he be a good fighter like Kendo? A great inventor as Melissa or Mei? would he save people's lives as a medic? If he had heard those words before he would be able to choose many different paths in life.
He turns his head to see that Nejire was also sleeping with Eri, they look like mother and daughter, and after that talk about the "papa title" he starts thinking about how Nejire will be a great mother.
'I think this path is the best, after all, she is here with me!'
Here is chapter 14, Izuku thoughts about what patch he could have taken are actually ideas for future projects and the pair they will have, but I want to finish this fic first. I don't want to make too many projects and just forget about one of them. See you all next time.
