The End of TopCop999.

Jack chuckled as he heard from Brian that TopCop999 was no more, all because someone on Twitter called Jim the Fish had told him last night he was dull. He had known that would happen that was why he had done it in the first place because he had known there would be no way Brian would drop this stupid new obsession unless something really blew up in his face; it had already caused an explosion when Brian had been so immersed in his precious Twitter account he'd foolishly forgotten, or he had not heard Sandra's order to do the intel on the Maze crew members.

Gathering intel was easy; all you needed to do was to check on the police database, and you learnt if anyone with criminal records had garnered more interest. Brian had been on cloud 9, so obsessed with Twitter - why people bothered with social media platforms when there were so many dodgy things going on on such places, Jack genuinely didn't know - he hadn't done any research.

The result?

UCOS had gotten in trouble with SO11. They'd been investigating the gang who were behind a series of ATM raids. Danny Tyler who was a part of the Maze crew, a gang of outlaw graffiti artists had been a part of a number of such raids in the past, but they'd stopped when Danny had left the team and he'd become a famous artist. But the gang remained, and some of them had started off their old MO. Robbing cash machines, and UCOS had gotten into the investigation and thanks to Brian they had no idea others were as well. Brian should have known better, but out of the three former retired police officers it wasn't too surprising. Brian was more technically minded out of all of them. He just took things to heights that he shouldn't, but then again Brian rarely learn from his mistakes.

The sad truth of the matter was nobody really knew how to stop Brian from developing obsessions mostly because they just appeared out of nowhere without any warning. What made it worse was he let it take hold and it caused nothing but trouble.

This was no exception. In contrast to some of the other obsessions in the past, Brian's Twitter craze hadn't been as bad. More or less. But Jack had been more irritated by Brians' need to gloat about the number of tweets he'd made, the followers he'd had. He eventually decided he'd had enough and he had decided to take the law into his own hands, and Jack had signed up for a Twitter account. Alright, granted, Jack had to admit a lot of the reasons for signing up for a Twitter account was to make Brian regret even thinking of signing up in the first place, but he had needed to spend a few days studying Brian's account, watching as he added one new tweet after tweet after tweet, getting more of his precious followers before Jack had moved in.

Jim the Fish was a pathetic pen name but it suited his purposes. All he had needed to do was say something negative about Brian's tweets, and Brian would quit TopCop999.

And low and behold, he had.
