I don't own Stargate, sadly enough.

Anyway, please let me know what you think.

Armament in Disclosure.

Due to a number of different choices made during the attempted invasion of Earth, Anubis's attack on Earth resulted in the devastation of the planet, where the ascended System Lord brought his advanced weapons to bear against the planet. All around the planet cities were destroyed as the Goa'uld warships launched their attack; thanks to his ascended knowledge, Anubis was able to design and construct weapons of mass destruction the likes of which the Goa'uld had never dreamt of, and he had used them against Earth.

Anubis' orbital and planetary bombardment not only destroyed many of the cities across the surface of the planet but the delicate balance within the Earth's atmosphere was affected as well. It didn't take long for the surviving humans to be affected by the new powerful winds, devastating and unstable electrical storms which were so violent that they caused more damage to the surviving infrastructure while heavy rainstorms raged across the world.

Vulnerable cities like New Orleans, which had always been vulnerable to storms and flooding was placed at even more risk. Within the next 40 years, the inhabitants of that city among others would make use of a hypothetical plan to construct a floating city to better weather the storm and the flood.

While the Asgard were able to help drive off the Goa'uld attack and maintain the Protected Planet's Treaty while simultaneously launch attacks against Anubis' holdings in the galaxy and also launching a number of other attacks against other Goa'uld System Lords to teach the evil, egotistical narcissists their place in the galaxy, the Asgard didn't have the means of healing the planet's new tectonic movement.

The Goa'uld had been very precise with their weapons fire, and they had precisely aimed their weapons against the tectonic plates against Earth; Anubis, being a Goa'uld, believed he could not have failed, but he had wanted to make sure life on Earth was even more troublesome than it had been before. The damage to Earth's weather system and the tectonic plates was an ominous warning to the survivors; their world was now a hostile place, where violent weather and flooding were imminent and there were even more chances of earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes than there had been before.

In the aftermath of the attack, the United States Government were forced to confront something they had been hoping to avoid for a long time. The disclosure of the Stargate. Many people in the know had been taken by the excuse of the panic that would be caused by the existence of hostile aliens like the Goa'uld, a race of parasites with literal delusions of godhood, but the real reason was that many in the government, aided and supported and advised by the NID wanted to keep everything within the United States.

But that was impossible now.

There was simply no alternative; too many people had witnessed the Goa'uld warships entering the atmosphere and the media had already broadcasted images across the world before several cities were destroyed. President Hayes was put in an unenviable position, he had no choice but to reveal the truth.

Unsurprisingly he was nearly impeached for being a part of a cover-up that could have blown up in their faces, but President Hayes was lucky since other presidents had known about the Stargate and kept it secret, with the hope of using the gate to provide America with new kinds of technology. When the disclosure came, the full collection of stories of what the program had been dealing with and had discovered over the years became public knowledge while the Asgard provided the humans with materials and aid to help them rebuild their planet.

For Dr Jackson, the period was one of vindication where his once ridiculed theories about ancient buildings and structures being constructed for the use of landing points for space ships were now accepted fact. Samantha Carter and Jack O'Neil were heralded by heroes, while Carter's work was heralded ass being Nobel Prize-worthy.

For the next two years, the population of Earth concentrated hard on the rebuilding of their world while they tried to discover what their planet could take in its new form. With the aid of the Asgard and through the use of the Stargate, planets near Earth were surveyed and colonised with the hope of preserving some of Earth's population and improve the overall - or lack thereof - qualities of life.

Meanwhile, in the United Nations, a debate wore on about Earth's defence strategies. It became clear the only defence strategy Earth had was to use the Stargate to launch attacks against the Goa'uld while relying on the program to create and use hybrid ships using Earth and Goa'uld technologies while using the Protected Planet's Treaty to give them time to put their plans into operation. Unfortunately, Anubis's attack on Earth where the Asgard and the Prometheus were barely able to stop him in time proved the strategy was seriously flawed.

Anubis had managed to destroy Earth's defences and his new weapons were more than a match for the Asgard weapons and defences, if it wasn't for Colonel O'Neil interfacing with the weapon systems at an Ancient outpost in Antarctica, the Goa'uld could have won. The United Nations came to the conclusion Earth just was not ready or prepared to meet and defend its people against the challenges the universe had to throw at them.

Plans were made to colonise other planets and to explore the rest of the solar system with the aim of harvesting the mineral wealth out there to provide relief for the number of resources being used on Earth to rebuild the planet while ensuring the survival of the human race within the rest of the galaxy. The Asgard were asked to help them with the solar system projects, while at the same time plans were made to find new ways of defending their planet against the Goa'uld or any other attacker.

The idea of having a small spaceship for the defence of the Earth and a handful of fighters was laughable. The attack on Earth and the rebuilding programs involved the colonisation of new worlds and the surveying of the solar system and the discovery of new resources, but one of the priorities was the construction of a new space fleet for the defence of Earth and for their colonies.

An R&D team looked into science fiction movies and TV shows, eventually coming up with the idea of taking inspiration from Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica for the new designs of ships and fighters while historians and naval strategists made it clear aircraft carriers were woefully underdefended. While the seed for the construction of a new space fleet was there, it didn't take long for the drawbacks to being made clear; Earth just didn't have the scientific or engineering ability to construct a large fleet of hyperspace capable ships which were capable of fighting powerful enemies. In the meantime, they asked the Asgard for aid with the intention of repaying them by looking into their cloning problems and trying to find a solution, helping the Asgard launch attacks against the Replicators by introducing their hand-held weapons and the Ancient drone weapons for the Asgard military scientists to study. This gave the humans a great deal of credit.

Five years after Anubis launched his attack on Earth, the Ancient's lost city was re-addressed again with the hope of gaining access to Ancient technology and knowledge. The discovery of Atlantis brought about the discovery of a new alien enemy in the form of the Wraith while being separated from Earth for a year before a fleet of ships using hyperdrives supplied by the grateful Asgard reestablished contact. As soon as Earth established regular contact, they began constructing ships with the aid of the Ancient database.

It took time but the Ancient database provided humanity with a great deal of knowledge of mathematics and physics, and with the aid of the Asgard who helped them with the finer points of understanding their own technology after the Tau'ri's aid against the Replicators and the help with the cloning problems, the new ships were ready within a year and a half. Earth itself and the colonies were soon protected by several planetary defence grids with early warning satellites scattered throughout the solar systems to detect any hyperspace signatures.

When the Asgard cloning problem was healed thanks to the use of the androids on Altair with the aid of Harlan, the grateful race provided Earth with a large collection of their own knowledge while they retired and focused on the rebuilding of their society. The influx of advanced Asgard and Ancient knowledge helped humanity to grow beyond what it had used to be. The Asgard gave them their blessing in their war of retribution against the Goa'uld.

When the Goa'uld ceased being a threat, and the Ori and the Wraith took their place, Earth's determination to be ready increased, particularly when the Wraith twice tried to find a way to invade Earth, either through the Midway link or the Hive-ship's use of a ZPM.
