The End of the Marston Siblings.

"It….It was Pearl's Idea; Karen tell them it was-!"

"SHUT UP! SHUT UUUPPPPPP!"

Pearl Marston was a very frightened young woman as she sat on the bunk - her cell was just that, a cell, a small room with no amenities and for a young woman used to the best, especially since she travelled the world, posting online for the Marston Group, living in her family hotels, she had always been used to the best so this cell was out of her comfort zone.

And as she looked around at the small confines of the cell, Pearl's fear had grown more. She looked at the grille separating her and her freedom, tears dripping down her face as they had when she and her siblings were arrested. She had only been crying because of the loss of the life she was used to.

The food was appalling and not up to her pallet, and since Pearl was used to eating in excellent restaurants with 5-star ratings and dining with other rich people while she travelled the world, it had not taken her long to realise the next few years were going to be appalling. There was going to be totes no service, terrible food, her clothes…well, she had no idea how the prison service dealt with laundry since she didn't doubt for a moment with the proof against them and how more and more of their shortcomings were being aired for all an sundry to see.

Stephens' sexual assaults, her own attacks on staff members whenever they displeased her or if she became impatient…she hadn't done that anywhere near her father and she always made sure to pay them off with Stephen and Karen's help. With that protection now completely gone, news of what had happened to Diane and how DI Mooney (oh, how she hated that man) had solved the case of her death would mean those people would feel free to come out and admit to what they'd done.

The Marston family had excellent lawyers, and they would have more than enough proof of the writs those staff had come out with, and Daddy would quickly discover what they'd been doing.

But the worst of it was the boredom. There was nothing for Pearl to do with her time, but to think. Contrary to what some people believed, Pearl Marston was a very clever girl, and it spoke volumes in her mind she had such an important part to play in Diane's death.

None of the Marston siblings liked or cared about the bitch their father had gotten engaged to. The moment Diane had come into their lives, everything had begun to change since she had used her new position to make those changes, the siblings had found someone who just was not going to do what everyone else did, bow their heads and let them get away with virtual murder although nobody was going to ignore their actual murder.

Pearl's dislike for Diane was mutual. The moment they met, instant dislike.

It was that simple.

Pearl had often met dozens of people whom she disliked in the past, but the meeting with Diane and the way she had taken advantage of her engagement to her father had cranked it up so high Pearl had been amazed she hadn't rocketed to Mars. The bitch had argued with her, harassed her to find a job, the moment they discovered the bitch was going to marry their father, Pearl, Karen and Stephen had begun their plan. Okay, Stephen was right, she had come up with the idea of killing Diane, but it wasn't like what her idiot brother had come up with; the way Stephen had come out with it, hinting that his own youngest sister was nothing more than a mastermind for murder, she had really racked up a number of corpses.

But really, all she had done was come up with a simple suggestion. It was Stephen and Karen who had blown it into a flame, she'd just helped. She hadn't come up with the idea of getting Stephen to site his room above Diane's. She hadn't come up with the idea for Karen to distract everyone in the crowd so nobody would know Diane had fallen from a different window, nor had she been pushed by Stephen in the first place.

But Pearl had been instrumental in giving her father the belief Diane had committed suicide by yelling, "I can't, I'm sorry!" She had known thanks to her actress training the distance and the shape of the rooms and the hallway would distort her voice until her father could not tell the difference between his own youngest daughter and his fiancé.

Pearl sighed and she stood up, shrugging off her shawl, kicking off her shoes knowing what she was going to do would hurt her feet otherwise, and she took a deep breath. She started to perform a set of star jumps, hoping the exercise would deal with her sheer boredom. As she jumped she thought of what had happened with the murder; it was all she could think of, really which wasn't surprising.

She didn't have many regrets for what had happened to Diane; she was upset they'd been caught and she was upset she would not see her father for a long time, although she hoped she would at least share the prison with Karen. The idea of them being together gave her some comfort. But it was as she herself had said, she and her siblings had not wanted the woman in their lives anymore. Diane had been changing their lives, and not for the better. She had not liked how the Marston kids had their lives the way they wanted, why hadn't she seen Karen had been thinking of nothing but the best for her and for their father?

Their dad was the only parent in their lives since their mother had died, all of those years ago. It was up to her family to protect him. They had assumed Diane would accept the prenup in the first place. But all she had done was raise almighty hell and caused one hell of an argument, but the biggest blow had been when their father had taken Diane's side against them. It had taken a lot of time before they had settled down but there was still a lot of conflict between them and Diane before they'd dealt with her completely.

Urgh, was that an ant?
