When she got back to the colony, Nami searched for Kaya first and found her in her office.

She peered back with a nervous frown, but when she saw Nami's expression, she sat straight and firm.

"So you found out?"

Swallowing nothing, Nami glanced at Kaya's little baby bump. How far along was she now? She couldn't hide it any longer in any case.

"Is that what you were trying to warn me about?"

"I can't break my doctor-patient oath ... he wasn't my patient, but they sent this paperwork with Dr. Law, and I couldn't ..." She sighed and shook her head. "You know now though."

Nami still stared at her bump though, brow furrowing. For certain, she didn't want to think about what Kaya was saying, but now the sight of her baby bump was dawning on her. Kaya had only told her about the baby a few weeks ago. When would a baby bump show? Wasn't that usually after the first trimester? If Kaya was showing now though, wouldn't that mean she was in her second?

"Kaya," she whispered. "How far along are you?"

"Nineteen weeks."

Her eyes widened, her mind scrambling to do the math and to remember her reproductive lessons. What was full-term? Thirty-five? Thirty-eight? How was Kaya halfway through her pregnancy?

"You just got back, but Robin's shared that she's pregnant too." She licked her lips, head lowered. "She's seventeen weeks in. And more women are becoming pregnant too besides just her and me."

She clenched her hands at her sides and blinked back tears. "Kaya, I don't mean to pry, but how many of them used this kind of birth control? You don't have to tell me who, but ... how many?"

"Enough that it's concerning. Did you turn your birth control off yet?"

With a wince, Nami dropped her eyes, but she said, "I didn't, but ... we ..."

Kaya only nodded and stood to pass Nami a cup. "Let's test then."

If Command had given out birth control that could bounce back so quickly, were they part of what had made Luffy?

Throat dry, she stared at the empty cup before she sighed. "Kaya, I understand what you were trying to do now, but he's not what you think." She realized then that she didn't want to believe or think that Luffy was capable of manipulation.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"I need to think first."

"Okay."

Luffy had been so quiet for the rest of their stay, stacking up the mattresses back into their sleeping pods. Nami had slept alone on a mattress where she could still smell him although a wall had stood between them. They had ridden in silence back to the colony, but even then, Nami had burned to shout and scream. However, she had wanted to reach for his hand as well.

How much longer did he have left?

It was so sudden this break. Even now, she thought about calling him on the tablet. Should she let him know she was taking the test?

Kaya touched her hand, smiling as if to reassure her. "Whether or not he is, at least, you discovered the truth for yourself."

Clutching the cup in her hand, Nami stared before she whispered, "He told me."

"He did? What for?"

"He said that he just wants me," Nami said. She wished her heart would lift from the thought, but she sank instead. "I thought I had found someone, Kaya. I still want to call him too. We were talking about moving into his MARSHA."

"Nami, you know it's not possible now," she said.

Nami's shoulders fell. Peering into the cup, she sighed. "Yeah."

The test had been negative, but Kaya warned her to come by again in another month or earlier if she developed any symptoms. This early, it might not show on a test even after all the advancements in medicine. Any interruption of birth control still meant a risk of pregnancy.

Now though, she stared at her tablet, chewing her lip while she touched her belly.

Should she at least tell him?

"You're back!" Robin smiled at her, peeking around into her room.

When she looked at her, Nami's eyes darted to her stomach, but Robin wasn't showing yet. It was different for every woman after all. She felt nauseated though. Was this how she would become pregnant?

She had consented, but then she hadn't had all the information.

Knowing it all now, the tiny voice kept piping.

He only wanted her and no one else.

Robin smiled wider. "Stuck with your driver for half a month? How was your vacation?" When Nami looked away, Robin straightened and came over to touch her shoulder. "Nami, what's wrong?"

"The vacation was amazing." She sighed. Nami couldn't tell Robin even though everything in her screamed to warn her - she had a husband though. They wouldn't try anything with a married woman, would they? "It just ended before the dust storm did."

"That's too bad," she said. "The two of you looked like you were happy."

Nami's lips twisted in an attempt to stop her tears, but here, at home at last with Robin, she had to wipe her eyes dry. "Yeah ..."

"Do you want to talk about it? What happened?"

Shaking her head, she sniffled before she searched out a handkerchief from her drawer. "I just made a dumb mistake is all."

Robin pouted. "Don't blame yourself. What did he do?"

"I want only you."

Nami cringed, her body tightening into a hard ache. "We just ran into an issue."

The issue was that Luffy was an illegal, modified clone sent to breed and die. She thought she could hear a clock tick, but those didn't exist on Mars.

"Couples can work through some issues," Robin said with that frown. "You can talk to me about it if you feel comfortable."

Her mouth opened and closed, struggling to find the words to tell her before she sighed. "What's the worst thing Franky ever did?"

Robin's brows lifted, lips pursed before she said, "He set the bathroom on fire."

She gaped and laughed despite herself. "How did he-?"

"He was spray painting one of his miniatures. He said that a spark went off somehow and so did the rest of the bathroom." Robin smiled and shrugged. "I got a new bathroom out of it though."

Nami smiled a moment longer until it slid away with her humor. "I don't know what to do, Robin. I guess I thought I knew him better than this."

"I don't know what to tell you unless you tell me something. What happened?"

"It wasn't anything like your bathroom." Taking a deep breath, Nami sat on her bed, fingering the tablet. "Did he ever lie to you?"

Robin slid in beside her and studied her before she said, "Nothing but white lies or silly things."

She fidgeted. "Maybe lie is too strong a word. He didn't really do that either. He just didn't tell me until it occurred to him ... I don't think he was trying to even hide it." Nami bit her lip. She was still skirting around the issue, tiptoeing as if it might go off. Worse, she was backtracking.

How much longer did he have?

"Omitting the truth can be just as unforgiving as a lie to your face."

Nami hung her head. "Yeah."

"But that might be possible to talk through. You look like you need a break at the very least."

She twitched, wondering at the flutter of hope before she shook her head. "What I need is a drink."

Nami sipped her whiskey. Few had made a bar alongside their distillery, but she savored the few distillers that had.

At the moment, she liked anyone that let her get drunk enough to try to forget. Luffy had wormed his way into her heart, filling her with passion and warmth, but now she just felt cold and sore.

She ran her finger over the rim of her tumbler, staring at the dry lab turned bar.

Soon, MARSHAs might be made for other purposes. She had heard from Robin about the talks Command had about new designs. After they had heard how some people had outfitted their MARSHAs for a restaurant and bars, Command had shown interest in developing more MARSHAs for the culture they were creating. The restaurants were more like bistros because of their size limitation, and some weren't even open for more than lunchtime, but it was a start.

Would Command issue currency for them to use too? Something about that made her worry - a tightening of her throat.

It felt like more that would worry her. Like something she wanted to forget.

"Fancy seeing you here."

When she lifted her head, Zoro smirked at her.

"Oh, hey." She glanced around though with a frown at the sensation of eyes on her. It was as if Usopp was lurking somewhere. Had Kaya told him about the upsetting end of her vacation already?

Usopp would leap this quickly.

"Working?" Nami asked while trying not to show too much hope.

But he sat down. "Nah, shift just ended." After getting his drink from the bartender, he sighed. "It's so boring here."

She shrugged. This was not a welcome interruption, and she was thinking fondly of pricking Usopp with needles, but perhaps sitting alone in a bar was not much better. "It's Mars. And it's full of people who have been training for this for half their lives - if not their whole ..." Nami frowned when she remembered Luffy.

Had those doctors told him all his life what he was supposed to do? Or was this where they had thrown the clones to hide them? She glanced at Zoro and wondered what security would do about this. Did they have anything in the manual about clones sent to fool women?

Nami supposed there had to be something about assault and rape, of course.

"Yeah, there's that," Zoro said with a snort before he swallowed half his glass in what looked like two gulps. "There's also us new colonists too though. I guess they're settling in."

Sipping her drink, she watched his alcohol disappear in the next gulp. "So who reigns you in when you get plastered?"

He raised a brow before he glanced at his glass. "Oh, this? I don't really feel it much. This stuff is stronger than back on Earth though. It has that going for it."

"You inhaled it like a fish," Nami said with a smile.

"I can swim." He cocked his head. "Are they going to make pools?"

"I think water's a bit more useful for drinking still, but maybe once the planet starts to warm again. Most of it is still frozen."

"Oh, right, your boyfriend keeps asking to explore the ice caps."

She stiffened, and Zoro frowned, clearly confused by her reaction, but she looked away from him.

The ice caps?

Nami fought the sudden surge of worry. It wasn't her concern if he tried to get himself killed. He couldn't be thinking that he could win her attention by doing something stupid like this. She could imagine that being his plan though, childish as it was. Even so, she could not stop the thorn of fear in her, twisting and digging.

Luffy had little time left, but he wanted to waste it by dying out on the surface of Mars?

What would he gain with that?

No matter how resistant he could be against little pressure, two percent of Earth's atmosphere was dangerous for him. The Death Zone of Mount Everest on Earth had about a third of the atmosphere at sea level. It was stupid and desperate of him. He would just die out there if he got lost, or an accident happened.

There were no emergency MARSHAs built out there to save him.

"What's wrong? Can't convince him to stay still?"

She scowled at Zoro without thinking, but she sighed. "He's not my boyfriend." Had they ever called each other such things? Nami had tended to think of him as her lover rather than a boyfriend.

When Zoro's face pinched in disgust, Nami was shocked for only a moment.

"You're single now, Nami?" With a jump, she spun to see Sanji, the new driver, smiling at her as he slipped onto her other side.

"Who invited you here?" Zoro sneered from the other side, and Sanji turned away with a sniff.

"It's a free colony last I checked, seaweed wrap."

Nami's eyes pinged back and forth between the two. "You two know each other?"

"That brutish idiot's my roommate."

"That farm animal's my roommate."

They both shot pure ire at the other, and Nami sat back to sip her drink and watch. Command had done neither of them a service, and they were probably counting down to the moment their MARSHAs were complete.

She tilted her head though, confused by what Zoro had said. "Farm animal?"

When Zoro grinned, Sanji recoiled with a wince. "Don't you-!"

"Pig E. Sanji, right?"

Her jaw dropped too late, but she covered her mouth in an attempt to stop herself from laughing. She hadn't even thought to ask Sanji before - she had either forgotten or he had slipped aside the question. It was clear why he would not want to reveal it. Nami cleared her throat as Sanji's face sagged in horror beside her.

"Well, that's an unfortunate designation. Maybe you can apply for a new one."

Sanji ordered a drink with a grimace. "I've been filling one out, but the next name is Weasel."

Nami winced before frowning at Zoro. "What's the big deal? Yours can't be any better."

"I'm Reindeer O. Zoro." He shrugged. "Doesn't really turn heads or make anyone laugh at me like some people's. Besides, isn't your ex Monkey?"

"It kind of flows off the tongue though," she said with a pout.

When he raised a brow at her, Nami drank a bit more from her glass. He said, "Well, I wouldn't want that name." He picked up his glass again and murmured into its lip, "Still though. It's a lot better than Pig."

"If I'm a Pig, aren't you one too?"

Zoro sat straighter with a growl. "Don't compare us to police. We're peace officers. It's a lot of walking around anyway."

"So you're like mall security," Sanji said, and Nami leaned back when Zoro snapped.

"Listen here, panty sniffer!"

"I was not!"

Nami slipped off of her seat to head out of the bar. Neither noticed her, and she sighed while she headed back home. Her distraction had turned into an additional worry rather than a new resolution.

Why had Zoro told her about Luffy's plans?

Idiot, what would you want to do at the ice caps? Luffy had talked about exploring Mars all the time though even before this had happened. Was his eye still on his idea of adventure? It certainly didn't feel like he was trying to impress her with this. He was still living his life.

"I've been yanno, cooped up?"

She paused with her hand over the door handle. Why think of that now?

Wincing, Nami hurried inside and checked for Robin or Franky, but not finding them, she instead discovered a message about a check-up on her tablet she hadn't noticed while drinking. She dragged her feet to her sleeping pod and curled up into the corner with her arms around her knees.

"I'll do it! Just tell me where they're doing the tests!"

"Damn you," she whispered.

"I want a family, not a series of test-tube children."

"Me too."

"Damn it." Nami lowered her head. "I'm not supposed to care anymore."

Anger still burned in her gut under all the heaviness of loss. This was his fault, and yet when it wasn't his plan, how could she blame him? Was it not his fault then?

Luffy had been all warmth and understanding, and they had gone into their way of making love with little planning, but it had also worked out. They had discovered so many fantasies together. He had fulfilled hers while shaping his desires for himself as well. She burned inside just thinking about it.

That he was an actual stud to breed with women was stunning.

She turned on the soundproofing to her sleeping pod and locked the door shut. Standing, she stripped out of her jumpsuit with a shiver. Nami had drunk little, but she decided it was the alcohol's fault. It was not hers for finding her glass dildo.

Gazing at it, she thought of her stud. What would he have done with it?

Nami shivered, laying back on her bed to part her legs, but she licked her lips nervously. She ached with need while she stared at it. After weeks of him between her legs, it almost hurt to not have him again.

Touching her entrance, she caressed circles between her labia. Warm, her body pulsed under fingertips that she dipped inside, stroking against the front wall where the ache was felt deepest.

Where his tongue would drive her mad.

She mimicked it now, moaning as she could see him bowed between her thighs. How he sucked on her clitoris before his hot tongue delved in to tease her.

Pausing, she panted, head dropping back to squeeze her eyes shut.

It didn't have to be him, she told herself. The man between her legs could be anyone else. Someone famous even.

Hell, Zoro isn't that bad to look at even if he's probably not the best choice, but ... Wasn't Luffy a worse choice?

Nami shook when her hand moved as if on its own. She could hear him though.

"So you think you can stop me?" He would pin her hips down, tongue laving across her clit and entrance between words. Her fingers quickened with a moan.

"Please, no ..." she whispered.

Luffy would yank her down closer to his tongue. She jabbed her fingers inside against the hot front side of her pussy where he would torture her. Her legs splayed wide, and she whimpered, but he was the one parting her knees as if he might get deeper.

"I turned off your birth control," his ghost said.

Twitching, she shuddered as her grip on her glass dildo tightened before she dropped it beside her. Her heart pattered faster. His tongue - her fingers - thrust as deep as it could go. Nami cried out when he squeezed her breast, twisting her nipple while dark eyes peered at her from between her thighs.

Not even in the room, he owned her. Nami's hips trembled while her fingers worked with the ferocity she remembered from him. Luffy would lave around her clitoris, tugging on her nipple now, and her hips thrust against his face.

"You see? You want it."

"No," she whispered, moaning as she reached around in search.

He leaned over her, cock against her entrance now. "Carry my child."

She squealed when she thrust the glass dildo inside, the swirl of the shaft making a froth in her cunt. Shuddering hard, Nami rocked against the roll of his hips - how she remembered he liked it. With a sob, she could see his eyes glitter at her. Luffy would lick his lips and moan.

"See how much you want it? You can't stop pleasuring me. You'll lick me clean after, right?"

Concentrated on herself, Nami choked on her whimper, flushed with heat as she squeezed him dry.

"That's it, take it all."

Nami's hips rocked a few jagged motions longer before she let them fall with a moan. She pulled out the dildo, wrist aching before she shivered.

She brought the glass dildo to her lips and inhaled raggedly. His scent of cum was still mixed in her juices.

I still smell like his cumdump, she thought with a whimper before she slurped onto the dildo.

He coated her tongue with wonderful, stinky musk, and she let him thrust against the back of her throat with whispered promises to do more to her - nasty and filthy things. Luffy would work her down to nothing and spit her out before he left her in a quivering puddle on her bed.

"Think of me nextersol night too, slut. I'll fuck your tight asshole next."

What she hated most was the thought of saving her first anal experience for him rather than for the dildo though.
