OLD MAGIC
Chapter 72: The Ministry of Magic Take Down
Elder Council's Headquarters Tuesday morning
With the rising of the dawn, Jason and Shackelbolt were already up and in the strategy room preparing for the op to begin within few hours. Meals were being delivered just as mail owls swooped in with fresh information on the enemy camp.
The evening before heading to bed, Jason had cruised the computer room. His ears tuned in to the excited, the worried, the frightened, and arguing discourses buzzing among the wizards watching documentaries being played on huge screens in one corner of the computer room. A group of comfortable chairs had been set up to allow any and all visitors to watch in comfort. Food and drink were being circulated by watchful house elves.
As he hovered behind this area, Jason smiled a little and thought how pleased Harry would be by Jason's sneaky way of getting some muggle education spread among the audience he was hosting. He had realized as he prepared for this meeting that it was the perfect opportunity to put on loop documentaries about how dangerous muggles had become over the decades. He hoped those that were willing to watch the documentaries being played would grasp the level of threat to the magical world muggles presented. Those that believed what they saw and realized what the implications meant would become part of Harry Potter's revolution to push magical kind into the future so they would be better prepared to head off the disaster waiting in the wings.
That didn't mean there weren't those, a few from the Order and way more within the Aurors, who refused to believe muggles were a threat even with the evidence before them but it didn't matter about the deniers, it was the ones who did take heed and believed there was a true danger, that mattered. The ones that wanted to remain ignorant would simply be pushed aside while the rest moved forward but such was the choices people made throughout history.
As Jason turned away and made for his bed and what sleep he could attain, he smiled again, pleased his small contribution to Harry's crusade was working. It was a step in the right direction and needed only to be spread outward from this point on. No one noticed as he left the captive audience behind him.
Before seeking sleep, Madame Bones was one of those who had taken in one of the education sessions. She had been particularly taken aback at learning the dangers facing wizarding kind due to their bigotry. Not that bigotry was new, far from it. Bigotry was the reason for this idiot war over who was pure blood and who wasn't. Then there was the one between wizards and magical beings that was pure arrogance and ignorance. But the bigotry against muggles was much, much worse because under the guise of thinking they were more superior, wizarding kind had completely ignored just how advanced muggles had gotten compared to the dark ages behavior of wizards. This misplaced arrogance would have deadly consequences, Bones realized.
And we have only ourselves to blame for it. She shivered. Remaining static all these years meant the magical world was ill prepared for when muggles found them with their tech. And she had no doubt they would and not too long from now, if they hadn't already suspected they existed.
Of course, she did know that all earth's governments had a select few top leaders and spies that were very much privy to magics existence but these muggles willingly, for political and security reasons, kept the secret from their people. But that delicate balancing act could be upended by one side or the other deciding to start a war. Knowing this, she realized with a cold chill, that it was going to take years to get wizarding kind to believe muggles were a threat at all. And that was the hardest job. It started with all those in the know banding together and educating their world. What an undertaking that would be.
She shook her head and rubbed her eyes. Enough of that for now. Time for bed, she told herself and headed for the quarters she had been assigned.
The next morning, early, she rose and went to breakfast, her mind going over what she had learned the night before and what she faced in the future. One war ends and another begins, she thought. Would we ever see true peace? She shook her head. Apparently, a certain young man name Potter will lead this new crusade. All I can do is be where I need to be and do what is needed to insure our world survives.
Dumbledore wasn't as shocked as Madame Bones as he had traveled the muggle world and had friends among them. However, he had been remiss in recent decades in monitoring what the muggles were doing now but, then, in his defense, the war had taken his attention away. The last interaction he truly had with muggles was during Grindlewald's time. A lot of obliviation happened to keep muggles from seeing the damage that dark wizard had wrought.
But now, in present time, he realized muggles had continued to race on with their destructive ways and pushing forward with their amazing tech. He was appalled at the amount of pollution created and how that was affecting the water, air, and life around them. But he didn't have an idea how wizards could change any of that. Muggles out numbered them and that, in itself, was daunting. He sighed and shook it off. Right now he needed to keep his head in this present situation, ending yet another war. So as the new day began, he rose early, ate a light meal, and got ready for action. Contemplation of the future could wait.
It was while they waited for the misson to begin, Dumbledore's and Bones' inner musings were interrupted by Shackelbolt's sudden shout out.
"Alright everyone, prepare to transport out in fifteen minutes," he warned. "Please head with your groups to the transport room." So saying, Shackelbolt lead the way out of the command room and off down the stairs. Here he stopped outside the room.
"One group at a time please."
Since Madame Bones had already been in front, she stepped among her people who made room for her then a Dwarf, already waiting within the chamber for them, held up his device and waited for the command to leave.
"Go!" Shackelbolt barked.
Instantly the first group was gone. In quick succession each group filed in and were transported until all had left. Nodding to himself, Shackelbolt returned to the command center. Time to get this show on the road.
A couple of miles away from the ministry and in the shadow of an empty alley, Apolline and her group had appeared. Snape stood beside her. "If ye be ready, you all know where to go, head out now," she ordered. Around her, her troops took off. To insure he went with them, Snape allowed Apolline to side portal him to their destination.
They appeared some blocks from the innocent and dilapidated looking phone booth that hid the true entrance to the ministry. When each group appeared and stayed as much out of sight as they could, each leader ordered the ones remaining outside to head to where Apolline had just appeared. Snape's job was to hunt down any that failed to report for work so he settled down to wait.
With everyone separated to their appropriate places, only then did Dumbledore, as prearranged with Madame Bones, head toward the phone booth, followed every few minutes by everyone else on his team.
Upon entry to the Atrium, he had only a moment to nod at Munch who was poised waiting for him, before a house elf took him and deposited them both at the entrance to the small hallway. He had been surprised when Madame Bones had pushed him to be the front line before the lifts while her group took care of the fireplace floos but he didn't object, there was no time for that.
With remarkable and swift efficiency, every member of the capture team were soon in place and waiting. Munch and Blodrig stood at the entry security desk. Munch pretended it was like any other day as he greeted and inspected wands and new visitors into the building as the work day began.
Only fifteen minutes into the mission Jeg appeared beside Dumbledore. In short, abrupt fashion, he said, "Mission completed. All but five unaccounted for. Apolline Delacour was notified. Leave now. Not much time left before protection drops."
"Excellent. Thank you for a job well done and so peacefully, too," Dumbledore said, only a little disappointed that the ministry had been cleansed so swiftly and quietly. It just seemed rather weird and anti-climatic. Jeg simply nodded at him then disappeared. Dumbledore's communication crow also nodded when he gave it the signal for retreat. It immediately flapped away to give its message to each of the members of the team.
Dumbledore wasted no time slipping away and walking quickly toward the place they had arrived so they might gather once more for the trip back to Elder Headquarters.
Meanwhile outside, a pleased Apolline nodded in relief when Annis, after listening to the report from the crow that had just arrived to deliver its message from Jeg,
announced, "Ministry cleared except for five little pigeons we get to hunt, my dear."
Apolline gave a feral grin. "Excellent. Time to hunt and you are up, Severus. Who are our targets Annis?" The hag listened to the names from the crow then gave the list to her leader.
"I see one is out near little Whinging so you have that one Severus. Good hunting and see you back at headquarters."
Severus nodded then transformed into his Blackfeather self and with a few of Annis' crows for company, he flew off to find his target.
Apolline Delacour turned to the rest of the group, "Join up with your groups as they arrive back here. I will only need my own forces to get these last four." With that she signaled her team and vanished.
"Well that was anti-climatic wasn't it," an Auror said with a snort.
"Yeah, totally bloodless like Shackelbolt said, but weird nonetheless," another opined.
"I almost feel slighted," Diggle sighed, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited for Dumbledore and the rest to appear.
"Almost, but I'm glad for my family's sake that it was over so quickly, though there is still the army to deal with," Vance reminded him. Jones nodded in agreement.
"True, there is that," Diggle smiled a little in anticipation.
The conversation ended when Dumbledore and Madame Bones arrived with their teams. On their heels, the Dwarf transporters appeared and soon all were being taken back to headquarters.
The Ministry of Magic blissfully went on about their business with no notion anything noteworthy had gone on. It would be some time before anyone realized some people were missing but the ministry was such a vast place the war would be over before anyone thought to look for the missing or take note of them being gone at all.
Off in Little Whinging, Snape was closing in on his prey. The man they sought, had apparently decided to run. Using a seeking spell, Snape followed the path the man attempted to take and soon found him switching from the Knight's Bus to the train station.
Snape swooped down and changed form before his feet touched the ground, landing smoothly from much practice. He cast a glamour over himself, even going so far as changing his sex to sneak up on his target more easily.
The man, Meekstand, by name, stood nervously looking around as he waited near the tracks for his train to arrive. He stood a bit away from the other gathering passengers and kept his eyes scanning the area. It was obvious, to any that paid attention, that the man was worried about something.
Boldly walking up to his target, Snape closed in on Meekstand. He gave the man a flirty smile so he could get really close. Despite his female appearance though, the man didn't smile and gave Snape a look of suspicion.
"Oh well, didn't think that would work completely but I am close enough so..." Snape suddenly moved in to press the man against the brick wall.
Meekstand snarled and tried to pull his wand but was surprised it was already gone and equally surprised at how strong the "woman" was pressing against him. He never got to put up a fight at all because without further ado, Snape apparated them both away sending them to the prison in the forest.
Once everyone was back at headquarters there were immediate expressions of joy, satisfaction, and maybe a little disappointment. The mission at the ministry was done, totally bloodless, and with no reaction … that was the best part of it all.
Dumbledore gave his team leave to celebrate as they wished and he would see them at lunch. All would return to their regular jobs this afternoon until recalled to tackle the last task, which he thought might be within days.
Madame Bones was equally happy to release her people to their own pursuits and also agreed with Dumbledore about returning to duty after lunch so her people could celebrate first before things got back to normal, more or less.
The two of them went together to sit with the council for the mission debrief and, hopefully, discussing the plans for the last mission.
Jason and Kingsley were trading satisfied smiles while still receiving reports from their hunters about the last five fugitives.
Delacour arrived and gave a thumbs up that all the five had been caught and were now languishing in the forest prison. Everyone else around the table were talking and catching up on what went on.
"I take it there were no problems?" Jason asked.
"Nay, all taken with ease," Delacour said with a wicked smile.
"No problems at the ministry either. None at all. I felt nearly superfluous being there," Madame Bones said, shrugging. "It was rather surreal."
"I must agree. I felt as if I was just visiting as usual at the ministry as little reaction we got while there. Which is a good thing, don't mistake me there, but it did feel odd just standing around and seeing nothing seemingly changed," Dumbledore admitted.
"You know, I just realized no one in the ministry except those that worked close to the ones we removed are not going to notice they are gone at all. The ministry is so bloated, one could go missing for days before anyone notices unless you are someone of importance. That's really not a good thing but in this case it was why this went so well," Madame Bones observed.
"That be the mark of a perfect mission," Magorian crowed, pleased by their success. "But the army we face wont be so easy so perhaps we be thankful the job wasn't that eventful as we are all not weary or injured before going into this more formidable mission."
"Well said, Magorian and very true. We are still fresh and ready for the end of this war. Hopefully, we will still manage to get it done without casualties as well," Jason said.
"Aye so do we all," Blayrock agreed. "So do we speak of this next mission now or wait to discuss it in full session with Bones and Dumbledore's people?"
Jason frowned but Kingsley knew what they needed right now. "Full session. I believe a few of Dumbledore's people have some intriguing ideas on how to take on this army I believe everyone should hear."
"Oh, I believe I would like to know what idea has caught your attention," Delacour said leaning forward with her head resting on a fist as she stared at him intently.
"One word, "dragons", Kingsley said with a smirk. Apolline Delacour reared back in surprise then a small smile spread across her normally severe face.
"Oh, yes, I would really like to hear about how those creatures could be incorporated. Then I agree with a full session," she said.
"I believe I too would like to hear how those normally uncontrollable creatures can be of use though I believe I might know what they could useful against," Alier concurred, the first time he had offered any comment in some time.
"Then it's settled. Madame Bones and Headmaster Dumbledore have your people attend a meeting for eight pm this evening. Any objections?" Jason asked.
Frowning Dumbledore queried, "Why this evening? Wouldn't tomorrow be better? I was sending mine to return to work this afternoon."
"As was I," Madame Bones added.
"Exactly why I felt this evening would be better. They are already missing most of today so why not finish up our plans and be set up for the mission than have them once again miss work and be noticed in their absence by waiting until tomorrow," Jason explained.
"Ah, yes you are right of course. I agree then," Dumbledore nodded.
"You make a good case, however, that might work for the headmaster since he has a second in command to handle things at the school but unfortunately, my second is here with me as are my full complement of agents that have other cases they must get back to especially since it is possible someone might notice the missing people and come to our offices to demand we search for them. I am assuming that for a while longer we don't want anyone to know what we've done so we Aurors must be seen doing our jobs as if nothing untoward has happened," Bones explained.
"Oh, my, I did fail to realize that," Jason said a bit embarrassed.
"No that is my fault, Jason. After all I am an Auror as well and should have remembered that would indeed be an issue. Thank you Madame Bones for reminding me of my duty for which I still cannot be present for," Shackelbolt said, concern in his voice.
"Well, since I am your boss, I am able to excuse you and give a plausible excuse as to your absence so that will not be a problem," Bones said, smiling. "After all, except for Fudge, no one can call me a liar."
Shackelbolt was startled into a laugh by her disingenuous remark but then she was a master of hiding her true emotions which was why she was head of the Aurors in the first place. But it was rare for her to make a joke.
"Thank you ma'am. And you are right, you do have to leave but you still can return for this evening meeting. But there is no need to bring the full complement. I would suggest gathering them together and see if anyone has any input that could be useful to us in this next action, then we would only need to transport that number for the meeting later. That work for you?" Shackelbolt asked.
"Knowing how important this meeting will be, yes, that will work. We will just use the same method. How do you want me to contact you to let you know the number coming? And I'm assuming we muster at Queerditch Marsh again unless the number is so few another method might be more advantageous?"
Shackelbolt looked at Jason but it was Fawkes who responded much to Bones' discomfort with the sensation of having the Phoenix communicate this way.
"Forgive my mental interruption, but believe I do that using Dobby might be best and simpler. Handle ten beings he is able. Also he can visit you for your answer of how many attending there will be and adjust we can with additional house elf to manage transport. Work this will, Madame Bones?"
"Uh, yes, that will work fine since I am already familiar with this house elf. As for the departure, we should do that away from the ministry so I will have us meet some blocks away before calling Dobby for the transport. Thank you Fawkes."
Fawkes bobbed his head, "Welcome you are Madame."
"Then it is settled. We will hold the meeting at eight this evening and hash out the details of our attack. Meanwhile I think Ms Delacour, you will want to send your full complement of warriors out to continue their watch over the army, preventing any desertion, though I have been told that has ceased and hopefully will continue. And you and Annis will join them after the meeting, eh?" Jason asked, looking over at the Veela.
"Yes, an excellent idea, Jason. I will gather my troops when we are done here and give them your orders. I want to check the scene myself again though so will go with them and return before the meeting," she agreed.
"Good idea," Jason said nodding.
"I agree this is the best first step right now," Shackelbolt agreed.
With that the meeting broke up and Madame Bones moved away. Since her people were scattered, she thought it would go faster if she got some help to round them up.
"Dobby?" She called. Immediately, the familiar house elf appeared before her. She noted he now wore some kind of new uniform with an unfamiliar symbol emblazoned on the tunic. It was rather weird to see an elf wearing pants but that was what Dobby had on plus a sturdy pair of large pointed shoes on its feet.
"My don't you look really spiffy," she said staring at him.
Dobby blushed. "Thank you Madame Bones. This be my new uniform as a first messenger to the Elder Council, " he said proudly.
"Oh my, what a great honor, congratulations," Bones said, sincerely.
"Thank you. What may I help you with," he asked politely.
"I need to return to the ministry before suspicions begin falling on my agency as to why I and so many of my Aurors are gone. So I need them all collected so we may transport back to Queerditch Marsh," she told him.
"Oh yes, that would be bad, but you don't need to go back to the marsh nor wait for Dwarves with their devices. Let me summon two more of my kind then we will take you right into your wing of the ministry which is the only space large enough to take all your agents at once. Will that work for you, Madame Bones?" Dobby asked.
Bones blinked in surprise then thought about the feasibility of doing what he suggested. Would anyone question their sudden appearance? No as no one, even her support staff, were allowed in the agents area. Yes, this could work.
"Yes, that will do nicely. I will wait here for you to collect my people then we head out immediately. Thank you." Dobby just nodded and vanished. To her surprise it took Dobby only ten minutes to collect all her people who looked rather startled to be summoned so abruptly.
As soon as everyone had arrived, she got their attention. "Listen up! I realized unlike the Order of the Phoenix, our failure to be at the office right now would be considered suspicious because I had not announced a full agent turn out. So we must return and act like we hadn't been gone more than overnight," she told them. "Also, before we leave, I need to ask, does anyone have any strategic ideas about the take down of the army? It has already been suggested we use Dragons for some of the heavy lifting like the giants, but I was asked to see if anyone else within my group had any other suggestions about this mission you feel will be of help. There will be a meeting tonight to talk about this subject and I will only be taking any who feel they can contribute to this," She informed them then waited to see if anyone had anything to say.
There were many frowns and brows drawn down in thought. Some muttered to each other for some minutes. As she waited, she noted the appearance of three more elves now stood beside Dobby. All of them wore a variation of Dobby's new tunic. Her attention was drawn back by ten of her agents coming toward her.
"I don't know if it will be of use in this instance, ma'am, but we thought since we ten were rangers before becoming Aurors that our experiences in fighting in a forest setting might be of use in this fight than those who have only fought in city and urban areas," one of the agents explained. "It seems no one has any new fighting methods or weapons that might be of use here so fighting is all we can offer."
She studied the group and noted they were indeed the most powerfully built and fit of her agents. "Hmm, alright then you ten," she pointed at the group before her, "... consider yourself in the first vanguard with me while the rest of you will guard our rear and flanks to ensure none of the enemy gets by us."
"That sounds like an excellent use of your resources, ma'am," the agent that had spoken agreed.
"Then that is the plan. I will brief all of you on the time of the mustering which I believe may be tomorrow. Be prepared to meet me early in the morning at seven a.m. sharp in our office. Catch up on the work at your desks but no away work right now. Leave at your normal times tonight so we raise no further suspicions about our movements. Everyone understand?" She asked.
"Ma'am!" The agent that had spoken before looked concerned about something.
"Yes, Agent Forsbear?"
"What do you want us to say or do with those that may come calling our offices to find missing bosses or fellow workers? By now their absences will have been noticed."
Since she had already spoken of this at the council headquarters, the answer was already on her tongue. "Just politely send them my way. I'll tell them we will check out their complaints and get back with them soon. They will accept that and hopefully, leave us alone long enough for all this to be over."
Agent Forsbear nodded, relieved. "Very good ma'am." He was glad his boss was willing to take the heat for what would surely turn out to be a shit show when the real reason for the missing people came out.
"Now, are there any other objections, questions, anything? Everyone understand their orders?" She asked.
Murmurs of "understood" and "no problems here" came her way. "Good, get into your groups of ten please and we'll be off to the ministry."
They quickly sorted themselves into groups. She joined the ten that were still standing next to her. "Ready when you are Dobby," she said to the house elf.
Dobby nodded then gestured to his helpers who each went to stand between two groups. Giving another signal, sets of twenty disappeared until her group was the last and soon they were gone as well.
She looked around her when she saw the familiar agent area. Everyone were already sorting themselves out and heading for their own desks, cubicles, and offices depending on their rank. She was pleased to see Dobby had not left though the other elves had.
"When do you wish Dobby to take you back to the council tonight, Madam Bones," he asked. "And please note, Dobby can collect the ten and you without need for you to gather. This will prevent any from noticing a large number of agents disappeared."
"Oh, that's wonderful and thank you that is a great plan. So pickup … I believe seven forty-five should be soon enough. That will give me time to go home and grab some food too, thank you Dobby. See you later this evening," Bones said with a small smile. Dobby smiled back and vanished.
Back at Elder Headquarters
After the break of the meeting with the council, Dumbledore realized he should bring Minerva up to speed on what transpired. He walked over to Jason and got the half-giant's attention.
"Yes, Headmaster Dumbledore, more questions?" He rumbled.
"No questions, Jason but I do need to return to Hogwarts to brief my second in command. She should be notified of what transpired and what I plan to do next but I did not want to use the usual methods so secrecy could be maintained."
"Oh certainly! I completely understand and appreciate your concern for security measures. I believe Dobby is already occupied but if you are willing to wait perhaps twenty minutes, I am sure he will be free by then," Jason told him.
Dumbledore frowned in concern. "Are we not being a bit selfish using Dobby so frequently? Wouldn't another be able to help as well?"
"Thank you for showing such concern for Dobby but I've been told, rather firmly I might say, that Dobby is able and willing to do everything anyone needs done. He swears he does take care to rest and eat when needed. As for why him, specifically, because he is the only one from here that is allowed through your formidable Hogwarts wards. Though all the house elves are able to pass through such things, Hogwarts be special and permission must be gained first for those elves to do so. Dobby is the only one for now who is allowed to freely come and go. Because of that distinction, I have made him First Elf before all others to the Elder Council."
"I see and I agree he certainly has earned that honor. I will wait for him to be free then and thank you for allowing me to use him for this purpose," Dumbledore said politely.
"You are welcome. See you later this evening," Jason said before turning to others standing near needing his attention.
Dumbledore sighed and made for the transport area. Might as well wait where they do such things.
It was nearly fifteen minutes before Dobby returned to the council command center and appeared near Jason. The half-giant noted his return. "Dobby, I have been asked to have you transport Headmaster Dumbledore to Hogwarts. I am not certain where he is but would you please accommodate him?"
"Of course, Jason, Dobby do," the house elf bobbed his head then disappeared only to reappear again beside the slowly pacing headmaster.
"Dobby sorry to keep you waiting Headmaster Dumbledore," he said as soon as he appeared.
"Oh don't worry, I know you were busy. I need to speak with Professor McGonagell and brief her on what is going on. Shouldn't take very long then I will want to return quickly after, alright?"
"Of course, sir. I will take advantage of trip to eat my supper. Prepared to go now, sir?" He asked.
"Whenever you are, my friend," Dumbledore said with a smile.
Blushing at the appellation the powerful wizard had bestowed on him, he snapped them to Hogwarts and into the headmaster's office. It was very nice to have a wizard call him friend but then Dobby was pleased to say he now had several that called him friend. What a lucky house elf he was.
With Dumbledore preparing to call his second in command, Dobby headed to the kitchens. It wasn't yet lunch time but the kitchens were a bustle with elves running here and there preparing the meal for the students and teachers within the hour. He popped in near the main fireplace, keeping out of the way of the busy cooks.
"Ah, surprised to see you Dobby, I am," Firg said from behind the smaller elf.
"Good afternoon, Firg. Yes, Dobby been very busy with transport work and message running for the council. Brought Headmaster Dumbledore back for quick briefing of Professor McGonagell then returning him to Elder headquarters. May Dobby be allowed a meal now?"
Firg clapped a huge hand on Dobby's back and said, "Of course you may but I demand a briefing too while you eat, if you wouldn't mind?"
"Yes, of course, happy to do so," Dobby said, smiling.
Firg snapped a table to appear where they stood. "Wait here, I will retrieve a meal for both of us," he insisted when Dobby started to object. Dobby nodded and took a seat at the table, honored that Firg was serving him. Such was not done among the elves.
For the next fifteen minutes, Firg listened as Dobby briefed him and ate his sandwich. When the call came from Dumbledore, Firg waved Dobby on and thanked him. Dobby smiled shyly then vanished.
While Dobby was having his lunch, Dumbledore was having tea and a snack while giving McGonagell a quick update. "And that is where we are at the moment. Tonight plans will be made to move against the army though with so many involved, I'm feeling very optimistic that we can overwhelm them quickly and, it is hoped, few if any casualties," he finished.
"Just be sure you are not one of those possible victims, Albus. We need you here for what comes next," Minerva said, worriedly.
"It is for that reason, Minerva, that I feel we will be successful as I feel certain you and I are integral to this future that's been prophesied. This future may be years in the making and we are definitely needed to see that Harry succeeds," Dumbledore said, waving off her concern.
She cocked an eye at him. "Being a bit arrogant don't you think, Albus?"
"Not at all. I feel this confrontation with what's left of Voldemort's Army is but a tiny blip in the course of history to come and warrants only a small push from the Light to put it finally to rest," He said with certainty.
"I hope you are right," she sighed.
He smiled at her, finished his tea then rose from his desk. "If you have nothing important to pass on to me, then I must be going back," He said.
"No, we're fine here, thankfully. Even those in the Alternate Schoolroom are being obedient surprisingly. Just bring yourselves back here safe, is all I ask."
"I promise. Dobby!" Dumbledore moved to the main floor of his office waiting. Dobby appeared, nodded and raised his fingers to snap.
