The people in the theater stared at the screen for a few short moments, before the video started with a emblem, a silver sword with wings spun above the letters SAS.
"It's starting!" Tiona shouted.
"Good news first, the world's in a great shape" some immediately recognized this voice. It was Lunoir . She said those words as the digital map appeared on the screen.
"Wait. that's my voice!" Lunoir asked, suprised that she was the first person introduced.
"We've got civil war in Russia, between the loyalist's and The Ultranationalists, and 15,00 nukes at stake." Lunoir explained.
"Just another day in the office." Ryuu's voice stated, sarcastically.
"Oh, there's miss Ryu!" Bell Said, curious about the role she was going to play.
"So what are we looking at?" Hestia asked
"Earth. Home world of the Human Race."
"Are there other races as well?" Loki asked
"In this version of earth yes. All the races your familiar with live here on this version of earth. Funny thing is this version of earth is only one of thirteen versions of the planet where humans aren't the only race of people. The other Billion earths only have humans."
This explanation was rather humbling for those who weren't human.
Lunoir' voice continued, as the map shifted to a large continent, and a moment after, an image of Bete Loga appeared on the screen,
"What the Hell?!" Bete said as his familia was shocked to see him on the screen.
"Bete Loga. Currently, the second most powerful person in the Middle West. Word on the streets is he's got the minerals to be top down there, Intel's keeping an eye on him"
"WHAT?!"
"Oh, I already hate this version of the world." Loki stated, rubbing her arms together, thinking and fearing about the things her child was going to do.
"Hey, maybe he'll be a pretty decent guy here." Lefiya tried to offer. But even she knew there was doubt in her heart.
"And the bad news?" Ryuu asked.
"We've got someone new joining us today, fresh out of selection. His name is Bell Cranel, call sign Argo." Lunoir answered.
"Argo? Like in the story's?" Hermes asked confused.
"Be thankful that it's something good. In another world Argo goes by the name Soap."
"HAHAH Soap? Seriously?" Bete laughed his guts out, with a couple other people sharing a laugh or snicker.
"What kind of a name is Soap?" Loki asked, laughing.
EVAH kept silent as she knew what would happen later. She knew it might break some but she kept silent about who Bell was..."replacing"
Then, the imagine shifted, once again, but this time, it showed them a small area of which four giant barracks stood out the most. A marker appeared on one of those barracks which made some of the people from the audience wonder if this was the place where the story was about to start.
They weren't wrong.
A moment later an inscription appeared next to the barrack.
Located...
Sgt Bell "Argo" Cranel .
22nd Sas Regiment
Special training compound.
Credenhill UK.
The camera then lowered itself down into the barrack, as the perspective has changed and they could see the barack through Bell's eyes, informing the audience that this story is going to showed through the first person perspective. Bell was staring forward himself as Lunoir was standing next to him. The woman didn't have her usual clothes on. Her clothes were more-military type.
"I don't know how I feel knowing you're in a military." Demeter said to Lunoir who just rolled her eyes at her.
"Good to see you. Take one of those rifles from the table." Lunoir said as she pointed at the the table which was standing in front of the massive armory. There were at least two dozen guns of various types that hung on the wall.
There was also a man sitting on the chair, on the other side of the stand, but he didn't seemed to be someone important to the story.
"What are those?" Bell said, staring at the guns in awe.
"Let me explain what weapons and tactics they used in this war." (Mental explanation goes here for you cause I don't want to write that much.)
It shouldn't have been done out of reverence, respect or what after her explanation of fire arms the smiths were already making details and plans to create guns of their own.
"Imagine how much more or children would survive in the dungeon if they had guns. Hermes Said which was actually a fair point to be said.
However EVAH put a stop to that. "And imagine when other nations like Rakia got their hands on them. It would be this real quick. And guns would have the extreme likeliness to make gods and their blessings useless. Otarl here may be the strongest, but what's that compared to a level 1 adventurer with a good aim and a rifle in their hand?" She said and everyone went ridged at those words.
"I retract my earlier statement" Hermes said sinking down a bit in his chair.
Bell walked over to the table, and picked up the weapon that she was going to use in her traning, before turning back to Lunoir
"You know the drill. Go to station one and aim your rifle downrange." Lunoir explained as she ran up the stairs to the elevation from where she would watch Bell's training. There also was a table with a watermelon on it in front of it.
"I'm well aware of the drill Lieutenant." Bell Said.
"Wanker. She said under her breath. Just pure formalities, Captain doesn't want people who can't tell ass from up. Now aim your rifle downrange." Lunoir ordered.
Bell did as he was told do, he adjusted his rifle to his shoulder, before a target popped down from the ceiling.
"Now, shot each target while aiming down the sights." Lunoir explained, as Bell pulled the trigger, quickly. The bullet went flying, before it hit the target, destroying it. The next target popped out just underneath it, and Bell shot it down just a moment later.
"Is the whole thing going to be about this?" Freya asked.
"Don't worry about it." EVAH simply said.
"Lovely, now shoot at the targets while firing from the hip." Lunoir said.
Three targets with generic bad guys popped out in front of Bell, each of them was spaced apart at the same length, as he fired one round at the closest one, destroying it. While it took him more rounds to take down the ones that were further from it because she missed them a few times, he managed to take them down as well.
"Now. I'm going to block the targets with a sheer of playwood." Lunoir informed Bell.
"Why?" Lunoir asked.
"No idea." Was the general response.
As a sheer of wood appeared in front of Bell, Lunoir said, "I want you to shot the targets through the wood."
Bell heard three more targets pop out behind the wood, and he knew what to do. He aimed his rifle at it, and emptied what was left of the magazine, hitting all of them, even though he couldn't seen them.
"Good, bullets will penetrate thin, weak materials such as wood, plaster, and sheet metal." Lunoir told Bell.
"Good too know." Was Tsubaki' comment.
"However, it doesn't just depends on the type of the material. It also depends on a few more things." Hephaestus stated.
"Yeah, that too." Welf agreed with his
"Now. I'm going to make the targets pop out one at a time. Hit all of them as fast as you can." Lunoir said as Bell reloaded her rifle.
And with that, more targets started popping out. The first one popped out not too far from Bell. He downed it with a single bullet, before more of them started popping out at random places, but it didn't matter to Bell. He took them all down, in most cases he used only one round of ammunition, but in one or two cases he missed, which required him to use two bullets instead of one.
"Bollocks." He said under his breath.
When he emptied the magazine, he heard Lunoir say.
"Proper job, mate! Now go get a sidearm from the armory." She said, trying to hide the fact that she was impressed by Bell's performance, as she pointed towards the armory.
Bell quickly ran up to the table and picked up the pistol. It was the USP 45.
"Good, now switch to your rifle." Lunoir ordered.
'Then why the hell did you tell him to grab the pistol?" Welf asked, others nodding their heads in agreement.
"Now, pull out your sidearm." Lunoir ordered.
"But he had his pistol pulled out just a moment ago." Lillie said.
"You see how fast that was? Just Remember, switching to your pistol is way faster then reloading the main gun in times when it gets choppy. It could save your life." Lunoir informed Bell.
"Alright, Argo. Come this way." Lunoir said as Bell walked up to the table that was under Lunoir . The table had watermelon on it, "alright Bunny boy, go ahead and Knife the watermelon."
"We really should consider calling you Argo, once we'll be done." Hermes teased.
"Please don't lord Hermes." Bell said, with pleading eyes to the god.
"You wouldn't complain if I'd call you like that..would you?." Ais asked.
"Nobody asked you Wallenwhatsit!" Hestia and Lillie shouted to her, while a few others just rolled their eyes in at the acts, and looked on.
Bell drew his knife and swung it at the watermelon, causing it burst into a few pieces.
"Nice. Your fruits killing skills are remarkable!" Lunoir chuckled.
"What a wast and a mess. It's a wonder it didn't go all over the place." Mia sighed, getting nods of agreement from the staff.
"Captain Lion wants to see you." Lunoir then informed Bell.
"Wooho! Ryu your a captain!" Anya cheered, holding her hands in the air. Much to the surprise of the Elf.
"Congratulations!" Bell said to her from behind her right. To which she only nodded with a tiny blush. Thankful that the room was dark.
Bell walked over to the exit from the hangar which was already slighty opened, and shut the doors open. He brought his hand over his face, as the daylight shone on his face. When he removed his hand from his face, he saw a tank, driving just by him, as a helicopter flew into the air in the distance.
After he began walking towards the place where he would met up with Ryuu.
As Bell walked past a traning pit where soldiers were most likely training some new people, he made his way to the barrack which was slightly opened, as two faces two familiar faces were spotted. Ryu and one Anakitty code named Walcroft was also spotted.
"Oh, look Raul, it's me!" Anakitty shouted, pointing at the screen.
"Looking good there Kitty cat Loki said. Raul blushing and nodding
Anakitty moved aside and walked over to Ryuu who was having a conversation with two other poeple.
"It's the FNG." Anakitty said to Ryu.
"FNG?"
"It stands for "Fucking new guy." EVAH said to them. Getting shocked, horrified looks or snickers and laughs.
"Go easy on her, captain. It's his first day on our regiment.." Anakitty said to Ryuu, who along with the others and turned their attention towards Bell.
"Right. Why did you choose Argo out of all things. Looks like "Rabbit foot" would have been a better choice, how'd a muppet like you pass Selection with looks like a bunny." Ryuu teased Bell about his nickname, with a smile on her face.
"I think it's a fine name! Eina said.
"Sorry Bell." Ryu said bashful at her words, ignoring the snicker' from some others.
"It's all right Miss Ryu." Bell said smiling.
Turning to her right, Ryuu pointed at the tower which was next to them, "alright Argo, it's your turn for the CQB test. Everyone else head to Observation. For this test, you'll have the cargo-ship solo in less than 60 seconds. Lunoir holds the current squadron record of 19 seconds. Good luck."
"19 seconds? Dam. Finn said in appreciation, Gareth nodding in agreement.
Bell made his way to the ladder which was leading up the tower, and climbed up it. Once he was there, he passed a random man who was in his full combat gear as he walked over to the table, and focused his attention on the new rifle, and four grenades.
Ryu called up, "Pick up the MP5 and four flash bangs."
Bell switched his rifle to the MP5, and picked up the grenades from the table, before moving to the rope. He looked down at the place which he was going to assault in his test, and eyed it for a minute, or two, he put his gun to the side, and slid down the rope.
"Good luck, Bell." A few voices said to him.
Bell landed on the ground immediately pulled out his MP5.
Bell was now fully focusing on the the place, as the targets popped out, and he took them down in an instant. He ran through the entrance to this place, and ran up down the stairs and saw another target, which he took down just a second after he saw it. He then made his way through the doors, and was met with two more targets, that didn't pop out.
"Use the flash-bang!" Ryuu shouted, as Bell threw the flashbang, and when it exploded, it blinded him for a second, and once he could see what was in front of him, he saw that the targets were now standing in front of him.
"Interesting devises". Tsubaki said.
''I guess it was made to blind the enemies nearby, just like it did to Bell when it exploded.." Riveria stated.
"That Must of been embarrassing." Mikoto said as Bell could sheepishly cower down a bit
hephaestus was watching all this from her seat, with a surprised expression on her face. She made a note to ask the smiths to work on something similar.
Bell shot the targets down, as he ran to another room, where two more targets which Bell took down without any problem popped out. He then moved to another room and saw that one more target was laying on the floor. This time, he knew what to do. He threw another flash-bang grenade which made the target raise from the floor. He shot it down, right after that.
"That was the last one! Sprint to the finish!" Ryuu shouted as Bell ran out of the place and ran up to the red circle that was the finish line.
When he reached it, the audience could see how many seconds it took him to finish it. 23 seconds, he didn't beat Lunoir .
"Nice work for the first try Argo, but I have to admit, I've seen better. Now come on." Ryuu told Bell.
Bell started making his way to Ryuu, who along with the other teammates who were finishing watching Bell's performance on the monitors on a playback
When he reached them, he heard Ryuu say, "Ladies and Gentlemen, the cargoship mission is a go. Get yourself sorted out. Wheels up at 0200. Dismissed."
And with that, everything went black, informing the audience that they were done with the first mission.
"So, the traning is over?" Anakitty asked, wanting to be sure.
"Yes." EVAH confirmed with a nod.
"So what happens next?" Ouranus asked
"Watch." Was all she said as when the screen went dark it went back to life once again.
