A/N: And here, we finally have another chapter for "Coraline 2: The Nightmare Before Christmas". This is where things get a little surprising (at least when Jack told Lock, Shock, and Barrel one last thing, but I won't say what. You'll just have to see for yourself). Of course, it may be short, but it'll definitely show a surprise which might be expected. :)
Coraline 2: The Nightmare Before Christmas
Chapter 5: Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Soon, there was a town meeting with everyone forming a line.
"Patience, everyone. Jack has a special Job for each of us. Dr. Finkelstein, your Christmas assignment is ready. Dr. Finkelstein to the front of the line.", the mayor shouted through the megaphone as Sally was around up until she had to hide from Dr. Finkelstein, who was on his way there, looking for her.
Meanwhile, Coraline was showing the vampires a toy.
"This is called a doll. Some of them even make noises with or without strings. Like this one.", Coraline explained as she tilted the doll a bit, making it give a cooing sound.
"What kind of a noise is that for a baby to make?", the vampire puzzled.
"It's actually kinda cute.", Coraline responded.
"Perhaps it can be improved?", Jack asked.
"Wait, what?", Coraline puzzled.
"No problem!", the vampires spoke.
"I knew it!", Jack grinned just as Dr. Finkelstein approached.
"Doctor, thank you for coming. We need some of these.", Jack spoke, showing the doctor a picture of Santa, his sleigh, and his reindeer.
"Hmm.. their construction should be exceedingly simple. I think.", the doctor spoke.
"How horrible our Christmas will be.", the mayor spoke.
"No-how jolly.", Jack corrected as the mayor switched heads.
"Oh. How jolly our Christmas will be.", the mayor spoke right before getting pelted and growling before noticing the source of the pelting, much to his apparent dismay.
"What are you doing here?!", the mayor exclaimed.
"Jack sent for us.", the boy in a devil costume responded.
"Specifically.", the girl in a witch costume added.
"By name.", the 2nd boy with a skeleton mask added.
"Okay, just who are you guys?", Coraline puzzled.
"Lock.", Lock greeted as he pulled out his devil mask.
"Shock.", Shock added as she pulled out her mask.
"Barrel.", Barrel added with his mask already off as he then licked on a black and orange lollipop.
"Jack! Jack, it's Oogie's boys!", the mayor shouted.
"Ah, Halloween's finest trick or treaters. The job I have for you is top secret. It requires craft, cunning, mischief.", Jack spoke to the trio.
"And we thought you didn't like us, Jack.", Shock spoke before the trio giggled, worrying Coraline as she practically shuddered.
"Absolutely no one is to know about it. Not a soul. Now-", Jack spoke before whispering to the trio as Coraline listened in and gasped softly in worry while the mayor listened in through his megaphone, or at least tried to before noticing that his spider bowtie was missing and then noticing that it was inside the megaphone before getting it out, but not before being bitten prior to the spider squeaking as it was put on his shirt and then tapped to get it to stay still/
"And two more things, the first is for your mission, the other is for this young lady right here. Leave that no-account Oogie Boogie and his deceitful, dastardly, devilish Beldam, OUT OF THIS!", Jack shouted, making Coraline gasp from the mention of the latter's name.
"Whatever you say, Jack.", Barrel responded.
"Of course, Jack.", Shock responded.
"Wouldn't dream of it, Jack.", Lock added as the trio all had their fingers crossed behind their backs before the trio then left.
"Okay, back up. First off, who is Oogie Boogie? And secondly, how do you know the Other Mother?", Coraline puzzled, making the mayor shiver in fright, too frightened about it.
"You mean the Beldam? She's the part of this town's past that I don't care to remember.", Jack responded, giving a sad look.
"What do you mean?", Coraline puzzled.
"Well, before I became the Pumpkin King, she ruled over them through control and fear, even going so far as to snack on anyone who dared to speak or act against her.", Jack responded.
"But not you?", Coraline puzzled.
"Absolutely not. It was an arduous battle but I usurped her and made sure that she never bothers anyone in Halloween Town again.", Jack responded.
"Wow...", Coraline spoke.
"But the question is, how do you know about her?", Jack asked.
"Well, you're not the only one who fought with her, that's for sure. I even beat her about 7 months ago. Or at least I thought I did...", Coraline responded.
Meanwhile, the mischievous trio ran out to ward their little house, walking toward the cage-like lift and closing the door and going inside, prompting the cockroaches to scatter away as the trio went inside.
Lock, Shock, & Barrel: Kidnap Mr. Sandy Claws?
Lock: I wanna do it
Barrel: Let's draw straws
Shock: Jack said we should work together
Three of a kind
Lock, Shock & Barrel: Birds of a feather
Now and forever
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la
Kidnap the Sandy Claws, lock him up real tight
Throw away the key and then
Turn off all the lights
Then, Barrel put the lollipop in the cage as a cockroach then cautiously went toward it, not yet knowing it was inside the cage, which closed while Lock poured poison in the concoction and dipped the bug into it before pulling it out, revealing it to be green now with big eyes before Shock then grabbed the cage and dumped it down a tube, but not before Barrel pushed the boy through the hole, which landed them into the middle of an apparent lair.
Shock: First, we're going to set some bait
Inside a nasty trap and wait
When he comes a-sniffing we will
Snap the trap and close the gate
Lock: Wait! I've got a better plan
To catch this big red lobster man
Let's pop him in a boiling pot
And when he's done we'll butter him up
Lock, Shock, & Barrel: Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Throw him in a box
Bury him for ninety years
Then see if he talks
Shock: Then Mr. Oogie Boogie Man
Lock, Shock, & Barrel: Can take the whole thing over then
He'll be so pleased, I do declare
That he will cook him rare
Wheeee
Then, two shadows crept up, one of which was a sort of living burlap sack while the other was a menacing figure with needles for fingers and buttons for eyes before while the first figure ate the bug, sucking it up like a vacuum cleaner right out of the cage, the second figure simply walked up to the boy and got out her sewing string and needles before then showing Lock loading Barrel onto a catapult and launching him away, pushing him through a door and onto a cauldron before Shock and Lock picked Barrel up out of the cauldron and then tossed him into a bathtub to wash up before Oogie Boogie burped as both the broken cage the bug was in and a doll of the little boy was tossed up the hole before landing away from it.
Lock: I say that we take a cannon
Aim it at his door
And then knock three times
And when he answers
Sandy Claws will be no more
Shock: You're so stupid, think now
lf we blow him up to smithereens
We may lose some pieces
And then Jack will beat us black and green
Lock, Shock, & Barrel: Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Tie him in a bag
Throw him in the ocean
Then, see if he is sad
Lock & Shock: Because Mr. Oogie Boogie is the meanest guy around
If I were on his Boogie list, I'd get out of town
Then, afterwards, Lock and Shock jumped into the tub only to notice that the water was already drained by Barrel before the tub then got up, lifted up on one side like a horse, and went forward, going into the amunitions room where Shock got off first and then opened a panel to reveal several axes with Barrel already tied to a big, black, heavy ball, being dragged by Lock before Shock relayed her idea, opened the box, and allowed the 3 scorpions to leap up on Barrel's head before he and the others got back on the tub, which burst out of the door as the trio then finally got out of the house.. :)
Barrel: He'll be so pleased by our success
That he'll reward us too, I'll bet
Lock, Shock, & Barrel: Perhaps he'll make his special brew
Of snake and spider stew
Mmmm!
We're his little henchmen and
We take our job with pride
We do our best to please him
And stay on his good side
Shock: I wish my cohorts weren't so dumb
Barrel: I'm not the dumb one
Lock: You're no fun
Shock: Shut up
Lock: Make me
Shock: I've got something, listen now
This one is real good, you'll see
We'll send a present to his door
Upon there'll be a note to read
Now, in the box we'll wait and hide
Until his curiosity entices him to look inside
Barrel: And then we'll have him
One, two, three
Lock, Shock, & Barrel: Kidnap the Sandy Claws, beat him with a stick
Lock him up for ninety years, see what makes him tick
Kidnap the Sandy Claws, chop him into bits
Mr. Oogie Boogie is sure to get his kicks
Kidnap the Sandy Claws, see what we will see
Lock him in a cage and then, throw away the key
"Sandy Claws…, huh?", Oogie asked with a smirk.
"Well, isn't that a golden opportunity?" before both of them laughed evilly.
