A/N: And here, we have the next chapter for the story where Mystery, Inc. decides on what to do next.

Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico

Chapter 1: Video Chat

One day, Fred Jones' computer spoke up.

"Alright. You got mail!", Fred's computer spoke before a message from Alejo popped up with his voice stating it.

"Dear Fred, it is so peaceful and serene here in Mexico now that the rainy season has ended. I would love for you and your friends to enjoy a relaxing stay with my family here in Veracruz. It'll be great to finally meet my American pen pal.", Alejo spoke to Fred.

"Sounds great. And I can practice my Spanish.", Fred spoke before typing on his computer.

Meanwhile, Daphne, Lena, and Simone were kissing each other lovingly, seeing as they were married recently, when suddenly, their email notification popped up.

"Jeepers! You got mail!", the computer spoke before Daphne checked her mail and even noticed a sort of video chat going on with Fred.

"I thought I'd catch you guys on your computer. So, what do you think?", Fred asked.

"Of course, I'd love to go to Mexico, yes. I-I mean 'si.'", Daphne responded.

"Let's ask Velma and Marcie.", Lena suggested.

Meanwhile, Velma was looking at an ad about laser eye surgery while Marcie was looking around at wedding venues when the notification went off.

"Jinkies, you have mail.", the notification spoke before Velma decided to answer just as Marcie decided she needed to be somewhere where Velma couldn't see what Marcie was planning before she could answer and opened up a video chat message before looking at their mail.

"Mexico? The art, the museums, the pyramids. I'm there.", Velma grinned.

"Don't you mean we're there?", Marcie asked.

"Great! Let's check with the guys.", Fred grinned.

Meanwhile, the Hexgirls and Wild Wind were practicing for their concert as Ben was writing a new book on his adventures in his spare time before an email notification popped up.

"Bad dreams. You've got mail.", the email notification spoke.

As for Crystal and Amber, they were communicating with their home world.

"Things are going great here. We solved a bunch of mysteries, helped people, and caught culprits, too.", Crystal responded just before a notification popped up.

"Groovy. You got mail.", the notification spoke.

"Mail? I wonder what that's about?", Crystal puzzled as she then decided to check it out.

As for Shaggy, Scooby, Googie, and the others, they were eagerly waiting for lunch, which was an Xtra large pizza in the oven currently being baked while Googie looked back at her photos of herself and the gang on previous adventures before the pizza was ready, notified by the oven beeping and then being opened by Shaggy and Scooby just before a notification rang out.

"Zoinks, like you have mail.", the notification spoke before the group all rushed in for the computer with Scooby then eating all the pizza that was baked and catching up before Shaggy looked at the email and started a video chat with the others to reply back.

"Mexico? Tomorrow? Like, let me check. What do we got, Scoob? Let's see. Daydreaming at 10, napping, snoozing, relaxing call. Like, sorry guys, looks like I'm booked.", Shaggy responded with slight laughter.

"Reah, rooked.", Scooby agreed before he and Shaggy laughed.

"Do you realize we'll be there for the annual of the Day of the Dead celebration?", Velma asked, worrying Scooby and Shaggy.

"Like what's that?", Shaggy asked.

"Day of the Dead? Now, that is wicked.", Thorn grinned.

"But what is the Day of the Dead Celebration?", Luna asked.

"Well, it's quite simple, really. It's a holiday in which families gather at the cemetery and celebrate their ancestors, who are allowed to come back to earth for two days.", Ben responded, frightening the two.

"C-c-c-cemetery? Sounds scary.", Shaggy spoke in worry as Scooby hid in the dresser.

"It's okay. They're not here to hurt us so much as visit us.", Googie assured.

"Yeah. Think of this as us getting to catch up with our past relatives when we couldn't back when they were still around.", Jay agreed.

"They do have a point. Besides, they're just a bunch of kids in costumes and lots of skeleton shaped cookies and candy.", Marcie assured.

"Basically, it's nonstop eating.", Daphne assured, exciting Scooby enough to pop out of the dresser excitedly.

"Daphne, I don't think that's how Day of the Dead works.", Rowena spoke.

"Can you try not to ruin this for Shaggy and Scooby?", Daphne asked.

"Sounds like Halloween.", Shaggy grinned.

"Yeah. And considering the turmoil we went through with the Chest of Demons, that's saying something.", Scrappy agreed.

"Exactly.", Velma grinned.

"So what do you say?", Daphne asked.

"Can't talk now, guys! Like, Googie, Scrappy, Scoob and I got to pack.", Shaggy spoke before he and the others started packing up as they even packed up the food before closing the suitcase.

"Looks like that's everything.", Shaggy grinned.

"Ruh-uh.", Scooby spoke as he shook his head before he went off.

"Like what did I forget?", Shaggy asked before Scooby came back with the salsa.

"Salsa.", Shaggy spoke.

"Of course. No trip to Mexico can be complete without Salsa.", Googie grinned as Shaggy and Scooby slurped their tongues excitedly.

A/N: And with that, the gang start to set off on their trip to Mexico. And it looks like one crazy misadventure after another will happen on the way there. Well, time to get another story called "The Cat Returns: Haru the Princess of Cats" ready. :)
