Chapter 3
XxXxXxX
For the first time in months she felt at peace.
She sat in a rather comfy chair in a large room that for some reason was heavily blurred out. On the other side of the table sat the green clad mage from her nightmares, or so she thought because the only thing she could make out were his green eyes and hair.
It was a rather pleasant atmosphere, serene even. They were just sitting, drinking tea from porcelain cups so ornate and beautiful that even the royal family would be in awe.
Suddenly a strange and unfamiliar sound caught her ears, something akin to a melody played out on small bells or cymbals. It was gone as fast as it showed up, allowing her to return to the blissful atmosphere for a moment.
To her surprise the person on the other side of the table moved, even as until now he was just drinking his own cup of tea without doing anything else.
"...ake ..p" He said in a whisper, looking directly into her eyes. She felt as if she could lose herself in those green orbs if she wasn't careful.
"Wake up." He repeated a bit louder, still looking her straight in the eyes.
With a slight jolt she opened her eyes after she felt someone shaking her arm. She barely held back a gasp when an unfamiliar face entered her field of vision.
"W, who are y, you?!" She asked in a slight panic, getting only a raised eyebrow in reply.
Before her was a young man, a bit older than Montmorency herself. He had a sharp jawline that was marred by small scars with one bigger going across both of his lips. It didn't take too much from his handsome features, maybe even enhanced them a bit in a way.
Spotting his green eyes and hair she immediately remembered the happenings from yesterday. How she and her sister both summoned people as their familiars, with Momo actually summoning someone incredibly powerful.
She didn't immediately recognize him because his attire was completely different than before. Gone was the heavy looking armor on his limbs and that scary visage akin to a demon from hell. Now he was wearing something that resembles the military uniform of a higher officer.
He had black shoes that shined a bit in the morning light, dark green pants that were incredibly well made and a white shirt under a gray jacket with green stripes on the shoulders. She couldn't decipher what rank he was, with the insignia on his shoulders vastly different from any she was familiar with. His hands were covered by black gloves, a strange fashion choice. His hair was shaved on the sides, leaving a wild mane of dark green hair with streaks of black. She hasn't seen such a hairstyle in her whole life.
"Sir D, Deku?" She asked unsure, looking the young man over a few times.
"One and only. You asked me to wake you up about two hours after sunrise." He replied, moving back to his bed and taking a seat.
"Ah yes, thank you." Now less groggy she also sat up in her own bed, still looking at him from the corner of her eyes. He didn't seem to mind, opening a book and starting to read. She didn't know if he was pretending or not, seeing that he was reading the book from back to the front. She would ask him where did those clothes come from and where did his battle gear go, but that strange ability to summon items came to mind immediately.
"What is our plan for today?" He asked suddenly, switching from one page to the next.
"Well… today is a day of c,celebration. W, we are supposed to bond w,with our familiars and there are no classes today." She stuttered out.
"Take it easy, I'm not going to bite you." He interjected with a bit of mirth in his voice.
"R,right. The breakfast will be served in around an hour in the great hall, after that we will have the whole day to mingle w,with everyone else. A traditional party of sorts will be organized in one of the plazas to give us further time to bond with our familiars." Montmorency explained, moving to her dresser. She stopped her hand just short of the doors to the wardrobe, remembering that there was someone other in the room now.
"U,um… I'm really sorry b,but… umm… could you l, leave the room for a few m, moments?" She asked with a large blush, fidgeting a bit in place.
"Of course, I'll wait for you outside. Take your time, I have something to occupy myself with." He replied, gesturing to his book. With a soft click of the doors closing behind him Montmorency released a sigh, it was rather stressful for her to be in one room with her stoic and admittedly handsome familiar.
With a large blush exploding on her face she cradled her burning cheeks into her palms, how could she think something like that after just meeting him yesterday? It was so unladylike!

Following his 'master', Izuku shrugged off all the inquisitive gazes of the students and the staff. He was sticking out like a sore thumb in his UA uniform, but it was the only real formal clothing in his possession right now. There were a few more casual outfits stored in his quirk, but they were more in line with workout gear. It was convenient to have a dry and clean set of clothes after sweating for hours on end.
His current outfit being made from the same material as his hero suit certainly helped. Thanks to Melissa's genius it was made to be always pristine and clean, looking as if it was just ironed. The fact that he didn't need to deal with that infernal tie was a godsend too. He should really thank her after returning home, her work was nearly indispensable for so many heroes it was a wonder that she wasn't already worshipped by them.
Walking through a large set of doors both of them immediately became the center of attention. The whole place fell silent for a few seconds, causing the poor girl in front of him to cover herself more in her cape in an attempt to appear smaller.
He barely stopped himself from grimacing. It was more than clear that this Yaoyorozu lookalike didn't have a good experience in this school. All the signs of bullying were there, her slouched posture and nearly crippling need to cover herself only the tip of an iceberg. A few mocking smirks coupled with lust filled stares, whispers about her being worthless and useless in a volume clearly heard where they stood.
He felt all of this in the past, his world looked just like that until three years ago. It was only in UA that he found friendship and acceptance, even if only for a brief moment.
Activating One for All at his lowest percentage he garnered the attention of everyone. For some reason the residents of this world could feel it when he did that, judging from their surprise and hints of fear on a few of their faces. With the power of his quirk so low the only indication it was in use were his eyes that started to glow with a soft green light.
The whispers immediately stopped, no one even making a sound. Montmorency turned back to him, looking questioningly at his face as if she wanted to ask what happened. He smiled at her, getting a small blush in return.
"Let us continue, Lady Montmorency. The breakfast should be served shortly." He spoke with his voice clear and powerful.
"Ah! Yes! T, thank you." She squeaked out, taken completely off guard by his sudden change of attitude.
A few chuckles emerged from the crowds around them but immediately went silent after he glared at the people responsible.
Walking just a step behind his 'master' he followed her to a grandly set up table. A small feast was already prepared, with her two friends sitting near an empty chair that Montmorency was clearly intending to take. With a few faster strides he took a hold of the wooden seat and allowed the still shocked girl to take it while he himself stood a small respectable distance from her at attention.
"T, thank you sir Deku." She whispered out, still in shock of how her familiar acted.
"It's my pleasure, Lady Montmorency." He replied with a warm smile.
"Oh my! Momo! You haven't told me that he is such a hunk! You aren't planning on keeping him all for yourself, are you?" Kirche asked excitedly, nearly salivating at the still standing at attention Izuku.
"Kirche!" With a prominent blush the ravenette exclaimed, getting only a mischievous giggle from the red head.
"Where did you get that uniform for him from? It looks good enough for an audience in the royal palace." Kirche happily stated, still looking him over like a piece of meat.
He only gave her a patient smile, to her surprise not even slightly perturbed by those actions. Maybe a year or two back he would be reduced to a blabbering and blushing mess but situations like those came up more often than he would like to admit.
People saved from life threatening situations often were under the influence of adrenaline and dopamine, making them do things they normally wouldn't. He had his fair share of eager fan girls too, some were so bold as to ask him to marry on the spot or sign their breasts. It was a side of heroics that he could certainly do without.
"Umm… sir Deku. W,would you like to j,join us?" The raven haired girl asked with a stutter.
"Thank you, but I already ate. Please enjoy your meal and don't worry about me." He replied, smiling back to her.
Seeing that his 'master' started to eat her food he idly looked over the gathered people. The pink hair of the other Vallière sister could be easily spotted on the other side of the hall but her familiar was nowhere to be seen.
He had an urge to chuckle when he remembered the failed attempt at the translation spell from the pinkette, it was one of those tasks that failed successfully. After the smoke cleared Hiraga Saito was able to understand and speak what they called Tristainian. He then left with Louise to her room, the pink haired girl wanting to discuss something in private.
"Excuse me my Lord, I'm sorry but I need to get by with the food cart." A soft feminine voice called to him from the side, a young looking maid with short black hair stood before him with her head in a bow.
"Oh, I'm sorry for interrupting your work. Please carry on." He replied after stepping aside, seeing that the maid looked a bit surprised he sent her a small smile that resulted in a blush. She smiled back after a few seconds and pushed her cart along, stopping by a few people and delivering their ordered meals.
After around 20 minutes the trio of girls finished their meal. Kirche was happily going on and on about some seamstress in the capital that she visited not so long ago, with Tabitha and Montmorency listening to her. The two silent and shy girls didn't add much to the conversation but Izuku could see that they were interested and didn't mind listening to their friend.
"Sir Deku~ could you tell me where you got such finely made clothes? I can't help but marvel at how good they look on you~." The red haired girl suddenly steered the conversation to him, seeing that he was paying attention.
"Thank you, Lady Zerbst. This set of clothes was manufactured by my friend, she is the best craftsman in my world." He replied with a small smile.
"Oh? That's a rather bold statement. But seeing her handiwork she certainly is one of the best seamstresses I saw." Kirche commented, leaning her chin on one of her hands.
"To be completely honest she is more of a tinkerer, a craftsman. She specializes in creating equipment and armor for the best warriors in my lands." Izuku explained a bit more, trying to use terms more understandable by the people around.
"Hmm, if you put it that way then it's even more impressive. I would love to see something made by that mysterious woman, especially if this set of clothes was something outside her expertise." Kirche continued, still clearly enjoying the sight.
"Sir D,Deku. Was your a,armor from yesterday s,something made by her t,too?" Momo asked, curiosity shining in her eyes.
"Yes." He replied, but paused after seeing that a woman with light green hair walked up to them.
"Good morning Miss Vallière. Headmaster Osmond wishes to speak to you and your familiar after you finish your meal." She spoke, eyeing the tall green haired man that stood nearby.
"Excuse me, in the academy we do not look kindly to flaunting your status. In those grounds every student is treated the same way, be it royalty or someone with the title of baronet." She directed those words at Izuku who only looked at her with confusion.
"That's a good thing? Segregating people by their status would impede their growth as a person." He replied with an unsure voice.
"Quite. Can you explain to me then, good sir, why are you wearing something so extravagant? Where is your academy uniform?" She asked once more, getting a bit irritated.
"Oh… Oooh. I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. I'm a familiar summoned by Lady Montmorency. I decided to wear this set of clothes after my master informed me that a celebration will be held later today. It's it inappropriate?" He asked, omitting the fact that he just didn't have anything more fancy for a medieval noble setting.
"A familiar?" She asked back, clearly not expecting that. "That's fine then, I suppose. Have you seen your sister, Miss Vallière?" She once more turned her attention to the raven haired girl who watched their small interaction.
"I'm sorry Miss Longueville, I didn't see Louise today." She replied, surprisingly without any stuttering.
"I'm sorry for interrupting but Lady Louise is over there, on the other side of the dining hall, just under the painting of the woman with violet hair." Izuku butted in, gesturing in the general direction he described. With his height he could spot the pink haired girl without a problem, looking over the heads of the gathered people.
Looking at him for a few seconds, the headmaster's secretary turned back to the still seated girl. "Thank you for your help, please head to the headmaster's office at your earliest convenience." She said, walking off in the direction the green hero pointed.
Seeing that her familiar was following the retreating woman with his gaze, Momo spoke up. "Sir Deku, I,I'm sorry for her rude behavior…"
"Don't worry, being ignored by the masses is something refreshing for me." He replied with a small smile that confused the girl.
"What do you mean?" She asked with her two friends listening in.
"Back home everyone knows my face, whenever I leave my home I'm always praised to the heavens. It's just a part of the legacy I inherited and it's understandable but it can get really taxing after a while…" He replied, trailing off at the end. Getting into deeper thought he missed the distraught face of his 'master' who misunderstood his explanation.

Standing to the side of his 'master', Izuku took in the large office of the most stereotypical mage he could meet in this land. Momo sat timidly in her chair, toying a bit with the hem of her cape. It seemed like a nervous tick at this point.
The room was spacious, large cabinets and shelves filled with books and scrolls lined the walls. A door to the side revealed a smaller office, the green haired woman from before writing something that looked like an official document.
Louise sat just beside her sister, her face twisted in a grimace that showed a bit of anger and impatience. His fellow familiar stood to her side, stealing glances in Izuku's direction from time to time. The green haired hero was starting to think that his combat suit would gather less attention than the UA uniform at this point.
"Thank you both for coming on such short notice." The old man behind the desk started, one of his hands slowly combing his long white beard. "I invited you here because of the unusual results of your summoning rituals. It's quite unprecedented for the Brimiric summoning to choose another human being as a familiar, not to mention that it happened twice in one day." He continued, looking from one familiar to the other. His eyes briefly scanned Izuku's attire, trying to discern if he saw it somewhere before.
"I would gladly try again, this commoner is a terrible servant." Louise commented, her voice stern and angry.
"Feeling's mutual..." Saito grumbled to himself.
"Miss Vallière. You certainly know that a mage can perform this ritual only once in their lifetime. The creatures we summon are our partners until the bitter end, without exception." The old mage replied patiently. A small white mouse peeked out from behind his head, as if trying to ascertain if it was okay to get out of its hiding spot.
"Following that thought I would like to ask both of your familiars about their origin. As we can clearly see they are from a foreign country and it would be unwise to ignore that fact." He continued, looking behind Louise first. "Mister Saito, could you tell me a bit about yourself? Where are you from, what titles do you hold, if any?"
The addressed youth looked a bit unsure at first, as if debating what to do. After nearly half a minute he decided to speak. "I'm Hiraga Saito, Hiraga is my family name. I'm from Japan and I'm a third year student in senior high school, that's the only title I could think of."
"Oh, so you are undergoing some kind of education then. And what about your social status?" Osmond inquired, still playing with his beard.
"That's not as easy to describe…" Saito replied, trying to think of a way to explain.
"Okay then, what about you Mister Izuku?" The older man continued his questioning after directing his attention to the green haired giant in the room.
"Hmm… I'm Midoriya 'Deku' Izuku. Like with mister Hiraga there, Midoriya is my family name. I'm from Japan, currently I'm in my final year of schooling in UA highschool in the heroic course. Deku is my chosen hero name, and my title of sorts. Before coming here I was hailed as the strongest hero in history and after graduation I would take up the mantle of #1 hero." Izuku summarized, internally laughing from the reaction of the people around. Kachan was right, flexing on the other people with your achievements was fun.
"That's so unfair… Montmorency, switch familiars with me." Louise was first to break the silence, her eyes fixed on the tall man behind her sister.
"I'm afraid that such things are also prohibited, miss Vallière." Osmond stated, still looking over the green haired hero. "So both of you are from the same country?"
"Yes and no. The names of our respective homelands seem to be the same, but judging from the lack of knowledge about heroes and quirks from my fellow familiar I would hazard a guess that we are from different worlds. Our society isn't based on caste systems like yours, there is no distinguishing between nobles and commoners. Everyone is equal in the light of the law and treated in the same way. The only way to get acknowledgement is by hard work and achievements." Izuku continued with his explanation.
"That's exactly like back home, minus heroes and superpowers." Saito butted in.
"That's rather interesting… how does your government work if there is no nobility or royalty to lead?" The old wizard asked with curiosity.
Sighing, Izuku started to explain and reply to the questions with the occasional help of his fellow familiar.
XxX
"That's so unfair! Why did you get a powerful familiar while I got a peasant without any abilities?!" Louise once again exclaimed. "He can't even perform simple tasks of a servant!" She continued with agitation.
Montmorency walked timidly beside her sister, listening to her complaints with a small wobbly smile. Their two familiars followed after them with a short distance, just out of earshot.
"So everyone has some kind of superpower in your world? That's neat." Saito said to his new acquaintance.
"Well… not everyone really. If I remember correctly, around 85% of Earth's population does have a quirk according to the latest research."
"That would suck so much… To be a normal person surrounded by people with superpowers I mean." The black haired teen continued with a contemplative look.
"Yes… yes it would. But that isn't the end of the world you know? I have a friend that is quirkless and she is one of the most important people in the heroic scene at this point, she is only a year older than me too." Izuku replied with a smile.
Arriving at their destination they walked out of the building onto a large plaza with the academy staff finishing their preparations for the festivities. A large amount of small tables was on one side, refreshments already present for anyone to partake.
A small group of the students was already present, their familiars with them. From small rodents, amphibians and reptiles to a few fantastical creatures that you wouldn't see on Earth.
Louise, deciding that she wanted a bit of alone time, walked off to a corner intending to take a table for herself. Her familiar marched after the petite girl, saying his goodbyes to the greenette for now.
Spotting her Germanian friend, Montmorency walked to Kirche and Tabitha who were having tea by themselves on the opposite side of the clearing. A large blue dragon and a fiery red salamander to their sides, both creatures sleeping and relaxing.
"Momo! We saved a seat for you!" The red headed girl called out with a smile, the salamander near her chair raising it's head after she spoke.
"Thank you, Kirche. I really would like some tea." The raven haired girl said back after getting closer to her friends. Izuku once more took a hold of her chair and allowed her to sit in it.
"So how did your meeting with the headmaster go?" Kirche asked with genuine curiosity.
"It went well… Mister Osmond promised that the academy would look into the possible ways of returning sir D,Deku and mister Hiraga to t,their respective homes." She replied, nodding to her familiar in thanks when he served her a cup of tea. She couldn't really tell why he was acting like a servant, even his etiquette skills were on a good level. He described himself as an elite warrior of sorts, but she highly doubted that he wasn't of higher birth with how he effortlessly acted without any guidance.
"Aww, why would he want to go back when he could spend his sweet time with you here? He looks rather content with his current position to me." The redhead asked, sending a wink to the standing at attention Izuku.
"I have my duties and obligations, Lady Zerbst. I need to return to my family and friends, they are probably panicking right now because of my disappearance. I'm not opposed to acting as the familiar to my master for the time being though, at least until I find a way to return home."Izuku replied for himself.
"Duties?" The blue haired girl asked, to the surprise of her two friends.
"Yes. You could say that I'm a sort of a guard, a peace keeper. I'm tasked with lending aid to the people of my country, defending and rescuing them if need arises." He explained with a smile.
"You are… a soldier?" Now with genuine interest the bespectacled girl asked once more.
"Hmm, no I don't think that the term soldier would be applicable here… but it isn't far from the truth too… I'm more dedicated to helping and saving people."
"Hnn." The bluenette acknowledged with a slight nod of her head.
After a few minutes of silence Izuku slowly looked around, spotting a few smaller groups already forming. Servants were moving swiftly from place to place, delivering personalized orders of refreshments and assorted sweets. From his position he could see Saito talking with the same maid that he briefly met in the dining hall, judging from their smiles it probably was a rather positive exchange.
Suddenly he felt a tug on one of his gloves, strong enough to nearly take it off. Reacting quickly he spun around, coming face to snout with the blue dragon that was sleeping just a few minutes ago. It looked extraordinarily cute for such a massive beast, tilting its head to the side in a curious manner. It was obvious that this creature didn't have any hostile intentions, otherwise Danger Sense would warn him about that. The question remained what did it want to accomplish by trying to take one of his gloves off.
"Sylphid! Bad!" Uncharacteristically Tabitha raised her voice a bit, looking reproachfully at her familiar. It's eyes immediately started to look sad, as if getting yelled at by her master was a really bad thing.
"So your name is Sylphid, it's nice to meet you. I'm Deku." He introduced himself, seeing that those green eyes held a bit of intelligence. The blue dragon perked up, looking the green haired man in front of it over with curiosity. It even nudged him in the chest a few times with its snout, earning a head pat from the smiling greenette.
"Did he just tame a dragon? It took hours for Sylphy to let me pet her." Kirche pouted, with her two friends looking at the scene with equal amazement. Especially after a few minutes of interaction the large wind dragon started to purr like a house cat because of the green haired familiar scratching its lower jaw.
"Well… I read somewhere that intelligent beasts can be m,more docile in the presence of more powerful i,individuals. Maybe it's l,like that?" Momo asked, still observing her own familiar that was happily treating a dragon like a harmless puppy.
With that going on the small group missed the commotion that broke out on the other side of the plaza, at least until the largegroup started to move out of the clearing to get somewhere else.
"Where is everyone going? Something happened?" The redhead asked the question that was on her friends minds.
"Montmorency! Please help me! For the love of Brimir, that stupid dog got tangled into a duel with De Gramont!" Louise called to her sister, visibly furious at her familiar's action.
"He got into a fight? Why?" Izuku asked, more curious than worried.
"Guiche got caught two timing again and tried to push the fault onto a maid, that idiotic commoner of mine just stood up to a noble because of that and to make things worse he accepted a duel with a mage. He is going to get killed!" The pinkette replied, a hint of worry under her anger could be heard.
"Can't you just cancel the fight? Are they going to use weapons of some kind? What are the rules of engagement in the duel itself?" Izuku asked, seeing that the situation was much worse than he thought.
"It's a duel between a noble and a commoner, there are no rules in such situations! And of course that Guiche is going to use his wand and magic, it's how a noble fights after all! That stupid dog went barehanded, that moron!"
"S, sir Deku! Could you help h,him in some way?" Momo asked, a small hint of panic on her face.
"I'll see what I can do." He replied, slowly rising into the sky and following after the crowd of students. The three girls hurried after him with a sense of worry.
XxX
Standing opposite the blonde noble, Saito smirked a bit. He wasn't that good of a fighter but he was in a few fistfights in his life. He even took martial arts lessons when he was younger and still trained the basics at home.
His opponent looked lanky, as if he never lifted more than his own ass and that stupid rose he was carrying non stop.
"I, Guiche Chevalier de Gramont, give you one last chance to confess to your foul deeds, commoner! Because of you, two lovely ladies were beset by sadness and grief. If you repent for your lies I'm willing to let you go!" The blonde noble exclaimed with a flourish.
"Yeah, no. I didn't do anything and it's your two timing that made those two sad. At least you could man up to your own mistakes dude." Saito replied, getting a frown from his opponent.
"You spout nothing but lies! To be expected of Zero's familiar. No honor or integrity!" Guiche said back with anger.
"Are you hearing yourself now? And why are you dragging Louise into this? You didn't have enough of what happened earlier to drag more girls into this?" The black haired familiar asked with anger of his own. That blondie started to really tick him off.
"Silence, commoner! I'm going to teach you your place!" The blonde noble shouted, intending to start the fight but suddenly stopped. The green haired hero descended slowly from the skies, in between the two.
He looked around, scanning the crowds with some of the students flinching. Hovering around half a meter from the ground he locked eyes with Guiche who took a step back.
"Mister de Gramont I presume? It's this duel really necessary?" Izuku asked, scanning the man before him.
"O, of course it is! What kind of a man would I be if I let this commoner slander the good name of those two lovely ladies!" Guiche replied with fervor, even when a cold sweat started to go down his back. The amount of willpower emanating from the newcomer was overwhelming, like a sudden wave crashing into everyone gathered. With the willpower being the fuel behind the spells of every mage, it was logical to fear a man who practically radiated it.
"My master informed me that there are no set rules in a duel between a member of nobility and someone of common birth. Am I wrong to assume that you intend to fight with an unarmed man while using a weapon, or magic in this case?" The floating man asked, still looking him directly in the eyes.
"He accepted the duel, it's not my fault he did that without any knowledge about it." The blonde teen replied, clearly not seeing any problems in what he did.
"Then you wouldn't mind if I leveled the playing field a bit, would you?" Izuku asked, still glaring at the blonde.
"D, do what you wish! It won't change the outcome anyway. A commoner won't be able to defeat a noble, that's just a fact." Starting to sweat for real now, Guiche tried to appear nonchalant.
"Saito, can you use weapons of any kind?" Turning to his fellow familiar, Izuku floated closer to him.
"I practiced kendo using a bokken for some time? It was a few years ago though." The black haired teen replied with a questioning look.
A shower of green particles escaped from Izuku's hand, surprising everyone. To the growing disbelief of the gathered crowd those motes of light gathered into the shape of a sword, a sword-wand in fact.
"I have a second one if you need it." Izuku stated, giving the weapon over.
Taking the offered sword into his hands, Saito widened his eyes from a sudden feeling of power spreading through his body. Feeling a warm sensation on his left hand he saw how his runes started to glow with a pale white light.
"Good luck." Izuku said, after eyeing the glowing mark. Lifting higher into the air he flew back to his master who was standing nearby with her sister and friends. The crowds of students took a few steps back from him when he landed to the side of Montmorency who was panting a little after the fast paced walk from the plaza they were on earlier.
"S,sir Deku. M,maybe we should try to stop them? What if m,mister Saito gets hurt?" The ravenette asked with worry.
"It'll be alright. I'll intervene if there is a need for it." To his reply she sighed with relief.
"Are you ready, commoner? I don't have all day!" Guiche asked, ready to start. With a nod from the still overwhelmed familiar he smirked.
With a flick of his wrist three petals from his wand fell to the ground, starting to glow. "Valkyrie!" He exclaimed, with the three petals transforming into humanoid soldiers. All three were identical with the only difference being the weapons they held. Green in color, they looked like female knights with winged helmets.
"Oi, you call this an honorable fight?! Four against one?!" Saito exclaimed, his body falling into a stance with the weapon in hand. To Izuku it looked quite good, even if a bit stiff. His fellow familiar did say that he practiced it quite some time ago.
The three summoned knights moved like one, gaining a bit of speed into a jog. To the green haired hero they looked a bit… weak? Brittle? Not really suited for real combat. They were pretty to look at, sure. But the limbs seemed a bit too thin, especially at the joints. And if the color was any indicator they seemed to be made from oxidized copper or some similar material, not that durable to begin with.
After they covered over half of the distance between the fighters, Saito decided to move in. To everyone's surprise he exploded into motion, sprinting much faster than a normal human should be able to. In the corner of his eye Izuku saw the surprised expression of the pinkette, eyes widening at the unfolding fight.
With a move that somehow managed to look professional and amateurish at the same time, Saito lunged at one of his opponents with a strike just below the neck. The rapier-like weapon went straight through and with a strong pull it practically decapitated the construct.
To the growing amazement of the crowd, the 'commoner' that by all accounts should have lost already was still fighting. He dispatched of the second golem in a similar way, just to block a strike from the third.
Grabbing a longsword from one of the defeated opponents he cleaved the third one nearly in half with an overhead strike, just after deflecting another attack with the wand-sword.
Panicking, Guiche summoned another six of his golems with two staying to defend him. The four that tried to attack the raven haired familiar met a similar end to their brethren. With Saito catching up to the fact that the joints were the weak points he quickly dismembered the attackers with quick jabs and slashes.
Now, panting slightly from the exertion, he stood triumphantly over the covering noble. Guiche tripping over himself from fright and willpower exhaustion tried to crawl away but was stopped with one of the weapons of his golems piercing into the ground just beside him.
"You wanted… a fight. So… fight!" Saito shouted while trying to catch his breath. He leveled his weapon at the blonde, ready to continue their duel. The power coming from his left hand giving him strength and confidence.
"I surrender! You won! Please don't hurt me!" Guiche exclaimed, his face full of tears and snot. He seemed as if he was going to soil himself just from the idea of fighting with a weapon against someone who defeated his creations.
"You are pathetic." Saito said, glaring at his opponent. All that talk about honor and the young noble gives his fight just like that. Turning away from the downed blonde he marched back to his master, smiling at the nearly dislocated jaw of the pinkette.
"You did good. Maybe a bit sloppy but still passable for the first time." Izuku stated when he got closer.
"Well sorry for not being a Superman like you, it did go much better than I thought it would though." He replied, handing back the borrowed weapon. Just when the handle left his grasp he suddenly was hit with a wave of exhaustion, nearly falling over from it.
Storing the weapon in his quirk, Izuku caught his new friend helping him to stand. "Your runes stopped glowing when you let go of the sword… I'm guessing that you aren't magically enhanced by them, no pun intended. Let's take you to your room, you should rest for now." He said, looking back to Montmorency.
"I'm sorry Lady Montmorency, but would it be okay for me to assist Saito to his room?" He asked, with the girl in question nodding in approval.
"Let's go buddy, we will try to crack this mysterious power of yours after you get some sleep." He spoke to the younger teen that nearly hung on his supporting arm.
Taking a lead to her room, Louise couldn't stop smiling from what she saw. Maybe her own familiar wasn't that bad after all.

Author's Note: Hello! It took me a bit of time but I managed to write a new chapter of this story! This chapter may be a bit all over the place but I just want to get to the juicier and more fun parts, so here we go ;D
