Announcement Chapter

Hello there folks, been a while hasn't it? Indeed I'm late by weeks now and I don't have any excuses for it.

Let's cut it short, to put it bluntly, I lost my interest in writing for a while and have actually been thinking to just drop the story entirely to be perfectly honest.

But no I decided against it in the end and sold my soul to Alaya to get the strength to make the impossible possible, though similarly to how Counter Guardians are just false Heroic Spirits, the way I'm completing this story is also going to be distorted.

Basically, I'll just write all of the rest in one go and I'll go ahead and reduce as much unnecessary texts that I usually put on the chapters, at the time of writing this I haven't started it yet, but I am indeed going to start soon enough.

My plan is to start by writing all the fight scenes and just fill the gaps between after I'm done writing, I'm doing it in this order to make sure I actually complete the story by basically "Hey, it would be a waste of my life if I don't finish the story after writing all of these kewl fite sines, so finish it ye procrastinating weeb!"

And yes, all this time I've been procrastinating like all day and reading other things, normally this wouldn't be a problem because I have a large selection of fate fanfictions to read therefore it would always motivate me enough to continue writing mine, however, I've already run out of good reads that I could bother to scroll through so now I moved on the novel updates and scribble hub, but now I've also exhausted a majority of the reads there by catching up to their latest chapter, so now I'm back here writing this announcement.

I would update this chapter periodically to notify my current progress, the fastest I could finish this is by the end of next month if my word count prediction and my effort level are on an ideal level.

Counter Guardian OBLIGUE is going to be deployed soon enough, and if I still fail in completing this fanfiction even after writing this, then my future self is going to actually murder my past self in chapter 5.

Though the epilogue chapter is going to be an entirely separate one if I could because those are supposed to be special.

Update Log 18/07/21:

Change of plans...

Expect a few more normal chapters before the I guess you could call "movie" chapter is posted.

I'm not going to lie, I barely made any progress this past month, but now I realized school is pretty much right on my doorstep that the half competent student part of me is starting to take this seriously.

We're gonna clear our current day (VN wise day 6) in the normal chapters I mentioned, meanwhile, I'll cut the rest down by half of the days it took the original game.

So we're really going to get the relationships started in what would be more appropriately called "war conditions". I had some thoughts of actually having Sakura become the black grail for the purpose of Zouken summoning Assassin which I planned to be CG Kerry, but decided against it because it would be too much of a hellhole.

Proto Gil shall still be our final adversary, nothing's changed on that part.

Still have no clue what to do with Tristan, like legit, although he might as well be a double summon Saber/Archer, I just couldn't think of anything character-wise that he could advance other than using him to accelerate Artoria's memory inheritance as I don't have much on his character other than from the wiki.

Well, that's it for the relevant part of the talk.

Moving on to the irrelevancy, I wonder how the meeting between Artoria and Gray would go in the Clocktower, and I could just imagine Waver recall more traumatic memories as now a complete carbon copy of Seiba was standing before him, looking, talking, and acting like her due to her misconception that her normal way of acting was inappropriate in a place like this, and decided to use her time as the King of Knights as a reference.

I wanted to discuss more of her future, however it would be a spoiler to do so as it would included in the Good End. Ah right, I need to thank, um... Super Salai i think? For reminding me those exists. Basically, the Good End would cover what happens after the Grail War (a few more surviving characters included), meanwhile, the True End would cover Saber's true aftermath... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...! If you catch what I mean then congratulations! But I'm going to neither confirm nor deny your theories.
