A/N: And here, we finally have the final chapter of "A Goofy Movie". And there are a few surprises. One of them are a couple new voice actors, which are Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore. I'm sure you already know about the 2nd as to who is there with the audience before Max slid into the stage by now. And the other? Well, you'll just have to see for yourself and I advise you not to skip it. :)
A Goofy Movie
Chapter 8: Perilous Waters/"I2I"
Further down the river, Max had already explained everything he did and the true reason why things happened the way it did this day.
"Wow... So, Mom actually spoke to you?", Amaya spoke in surprise.
"Yeah. She, uh... helped me realize what a jerk I've been to you. And Dad. She also told me that... since I know now that what I am doing is wrong, I needed to do the right thing. But today, I panicked and now..., well, you can kinda guess what happened. Anyway..., I figure you're never gonna want to talk to me again, much less see me again.", Max sighed, making Amaya give a slight look of guilt.
"Look, Max. About what I said earlier..., I was just... so upset. So angry. So... caught up in the past that... that I never bothered to think about the future. It all happened so fast, I guess I just missed it.", Amaya realized.
"Look. That isn't your fault. You just wanted to honor her memory. And today, so did I. In fact, I still do. And Mom also wanted you to push forward and try again. You know, whenever you start to fall apart and all.", Max responded.
"But I haven't been doing a good job of that since she died, have I?", Amaya retorted sadly.
"Apparently..., no. But it's never too late to try.", Max assured with a sad grin, a gesture of which Amaya gladly returned.
"Thanks, Max. It means a lot...", Amaya grinned almost about to sob before hugging Max, who hugged her back.
"Still, I'm kinda jealous that our Mom spoke to you.", Amaya smirked.
"Well, with any luck, you just might, one day.", Roxanne grinned.
Goofy sighed at the touching moment before then speaking up.
"Welp, I think the only thing for us to do now is to get you guys up on stage with this Powerline fellow."
"Uh, how are we going to do that?", Max asked.
"Now, you just leave that up to me.", Goofy assured.
"No, Dad, really. I think we should just, you know, forget it.", Max responded.
"Now, how come you always think I'm going to lead you into some sort of calamity?", Goofy asked before Max looked ahead, shocked at what he found up ahead as Roxanne and Amaya noticed, too.
"Duh, duh, Dad?", Max asked in worry.
"What's wrong now?", Goofy asked before Max turned his dad's head forward.
"Look!", Max urged as the car was approaching a high waterfall.
"A waterfall.", Goofy spoke matter-of-factly before panicking.
"Waterfall?!", Goofy exclaimed before the group attempted to paddle upstream only to fail as Roxanne, Amaya, and Goofy got thrown from the car and grabbed a rock while Max continued toward the falls on the car.
"Help Help me!", Max shouted as he and the car drifted helplessly toward the falls.
"Max!", Amaya, Roxanne, and Goofy shouted before a fishing pole hit Goofy in the back of the head, prompting Amaya to grab it with all three climbing over the rock formations for a moment.
"I've already lost someone very important to me. I'm not about to lose that someone again. Roxanne, Dad, you two stay here.", Amaya urged.
"But what about you?", Roxanne asked.
"I've got some fishing to do.", Amaya spoke before moving forward, trying to find a good place to try and reach for Max before finally getting to a log and climbing to the end of it, extending the pole toward Max.
"Grab a hold, Max!", Amaya urged before he tried only to miss as the car went over a rock in the river and flipped over with Max even getting tangled in a tarp.
Amaya then tried to stop the car from going over the falls by casting the line to it and succeeded for a moment, but then, the force of the falls broke the log and Amaya wound up dumped in the river before both Max and the car fell over the falls, Max still entangled in the tarp. As he fell, the tarp became a parachute and the updraft from the falls carried him up above the falls, allowing him to see his sister heading for the edge of the falls.
"Amaya!", Max shouted
With a final effort, Amaya extended the fishing pole still in her hand towards Max, who grabbed the end. For a moment, the two are dangling above the falls, exchanging happy glances to each other as Roxanne and Goofy looked on happily. Then, all of a sudden, the cork handle of the fishing pole came off, sending Amaya falling.
"Max!", Amaya shouted as she fell before Max, almost without thinking, spun the fishing pole around and started doing the Perfect Cast.
"Ten o'clock. Quarter to three. Tour Jete. Twist. I'm a little teapot. Let 'er fly!", Max shouted as he lurched the line toward Amaya, who screamed as she fell before soon, both were lost in the mist at the base of the falls.
Both Max, Roxanne, and Goofy began to worry that he was too late. And then, all of a sudden, the line went taut before Max began to get pulled down and he started reeling in the line. Soon, the figure of his sister can be seen, hooked by the back of her shirt. Max, relieved, reeled Amaya in all the way with Amaya shedding tears in her eyes, knowing the one way her brother saved her.
"The Perfect Cast...!", Amaya spoke in surprise before the two hugged each other as they went up to see Roxanne and Goofy on the rocks with Max and Amaya waving.
"Hey!", Amaya waved.
"Amaya!", Roxanne grinned.
"Maxie!", Goofy grinned.
'Hang on! I'll go get you two up in a moment!", Max urged before doing what he did for Amaya and this time, wrapping the line around the two and reeling them up to them as they got pulled down a little before they all hugged each other just as a map flew over to them.
"Boy, this has been one crazy vacation.", Max sighed.
"And it's not over yet!", Goofy grinned.
"You know, Dad? I couldn't have said that better myself.", Amaya agreed as she tossed the map to the wind.
Later, at the Powerline concert, Cars were being directed in while a couple of people were tossing instrument cases into a loading dock before a drum case opened with Max getting out first as Roxanne got out another.
"Guys?", Max whispered before he opened a fiddle base and Goofy fell out as Amaya got out next.
"We made it!", Amaya grinned.
"Come on, Max! Let's get you guys on stage!", Goofy grinned as he went away, dragging Amaya with her.
"Uh, maybe this isn't such a good idea.", Max responded before a couple of spandex dressed dancers paseds by Max and Roxanne with the two of them looking at them admiringly.
"Uh, then again...", Max began.
"I wonder how I'd look in those.", Roxanne pondered before they noticed that neither Goofy nor Amaya were anywhere to be seen now.
"Uh-oh. Max, I'll go look for him. You look for your Dad, got it?", Roxanne asked.
"Dad? Dad?", Max puzzled.
"I'll go look for Amaya
Meanwhile, on-stage Powerline is starting his final number as a few spandex dancers joined him.
Powerline: I got myself a notion
And one I know that you'll understand
We set the world in motion
By reaching out for each other's hand.
Meanwhile, Max was under the stage trying to find Goofy.
"Dad?", Max asked before he looked up and saw Powerline from the back only to have a flash light shine in his face.
Max looks up and sees Powerline from the back.
Powerline: Maybe we'll discover
What we should have known all along.
"What are you doing here? Hey!", the security guard shouted as Max ran form the guard.
As Powerline continued singing, Goofy was backstage, going through a hall of dressing rooms.
Powerline: One way or another
Together's where we both belong
"Max? Max?", Goofy asked just as he opened one of the rooms and noticed someone trying to get dressed before she screamed with a voice somewhat sounding similar to a man's as Goofy looked extremely embarrassed before he got hit and tumbled back into a rather large and imposing piece of equipment with a door on the side, which closed with Goofy inside before it started buzzing as the light flashed.
Powerline: If we listen to each other's heart
We'll find we're never too far apart,
And maybe love is the reason why.
For the first time ever, we're seeing it I 2 I.
Meanwhile, as Roxanne looked for Amaya, she searched through the dressing rooms until she found Amaya getting dressed up by a sort of familiar-looking artist with a green coat paint splatters on it, a beret, and a bow tie, surprising her before she calmed down.
"Oh. It's you, Roxanne.", Amaya sighed.
"There you are. What are you doing?", Roxanne asked.
"Well, apparently, I'm getting a little wardrobe change.", Amaya responded.
"Ah, you must be Amaya's friend.", the goof spoke with a slight french accent.
"Yeah. She is. Uncle M. Angelo, meet Roxanne. Roxanne, meet Uncle M. Angelo.", Amaya spoke.
"You simply must come in. I have something special for you as well.", M. Angelo spoke before she dragged Roxanne in.
Meanwhile, Max was running from the Security Guard and climbed onto a row of lights which rose up with the Guard still right behind him as Goofy was now in a large globe, just like how Powerline made his entrance in for the final number which began to rise through a trap door in the stage.
"Excuse me, but uh...", Goofy began as he ended up center stage with Powerline before squinting into the audience.
"Max?", Goofy asked just before the globe was suddenly bathed with electrical charges with Goofy getting the full brunt of the shock of his life with the globe exploding, throwing Goofy at Powerline's feet with the pop star stopping and staring at Goofy.
Max, from the rafters, saw his dad and was at first embarrassed, but then got an idea and shouted down to his dad.
"Hey, Dad! Dad! Do the Perfect Cast!", Max shouted before Goofy, following his lead, does so with the Perfect Cast looking like a dance, which piqued Powerline's interest as he grinned before then joining Goofy right at the "I'm a little teapot" part.
Powerline: If you're ever lonely, stop.
You don't have to be.
After all it's only a beat away from you to me.
Meanwhile, Roxanne and Amaya, now dressed in spandex thanks to M. Angelo, got out quickly.
"Now, hurry along. The big finale is starting.", M. Angelo urged sweetly before closing the door to the dressing room.
"What? But how did he...?", Roxanne puzzled.
"No time. I'll explain later.", Amaya spoke as she ushered her to the contraption, went inside with her, and closed the door, the alarm blaring once again as meanwhile, as the globe went up again, the Guard crawled across the scaffolding to Max, who leapt over him to the other side before the wire broke with Max grabbing it just as the guard grabbed Max's feet and both went sailing through the air before the guard, with a scream, ended up smashing into a large TV display, astonishing the audience, especially Mickey Mouse as he happened to be watching the show while Donald and another duck with glasses and a sergeant hat watched in the audience as well and clapped joyfully just before the globe went up at center stage with the two pillars charging up before firing at the globe once again, bathing it with electrical charges before the globe exploded once again just as Max ended up center stage with Powerline as Roxanne and Amaya joined in while Max got up and all 3 started doing the Perfect Cast with Powerline and Goofy.
Powerline: If we listen to each other's heart
We'll find we're never too far apart.
And maybe love is the reason why
For the first time ever, we're seeing it I 2 I
Meanwhile, at Stacey's party, Bobby watched in surprise and awe at the scene.
"Yeah! Max is on the tu-ube! That's Max! I know him!", Bobby shouted before meanwhile, PJ, who was scrubbing the floor in front of the TV, saw Max, Amaya, Goofy, and Roxanne all together as did Pistol.
"You did it!", PJ and Pistol grinned just before Peg and Pete walked in behind the two kids with the former giving a look of surprise before the latter, in surprise from seeing what was going on in the TV, spat out the root beer he was drinking on the screen, even staring at the TV with his jaw dropped as Peg gave Pete a smirk, making her realize something as she then grinned to Pete and even kissed him in the cheek afterwards, puzzling him, and then started doing the Perfect Cast, which puzzled Pete even further before she then dragged him along for the dance as PJ and Pistol joined in the dance.
Back at Stacey's party, even Stacey and the others watching tried to do the Perfect Cast only for Bobby to come by and spray them with cheese, even bumping into her, making him drop the can before the two reached the can at the same time and their hands touched with both looking at each other and smiling before, at Roxanne's house, her father was just flipping channels when suddenly, he came across a channel where he saw her daughter, Goofy, Max, and Amaya dancing with Powerline, which made him gasp before shouting out.
"HA! Boom, baby!", Roxanne's father grinned.
Meanwhile, the concert proceeds onward and finished with a bang.
(Seeing it eye to eye)
Seeing it eye to eye, baby!
[Ad-lib - Rosie Gains & Tevin Campbell]
"Wow! That was a great show, fellas.", Mickey chuckled.
"Uh, thanks.", Max grinned.
"Yeah.", Roxanne agreed.
"All right, let's get a move-on. Show's over.", Drill Sergeant Duck spoke.
"Ah, phooey.", Donald responded as the two ducks left.
"Oh. We gotta go. See you later, fellas.", Mickey waved before taking off.
"What a great guy.", Amaya grinned.
"Yeah.", Roxanne and Max agreed before they turned to each other and blushed.
Later, Goofy was just pulling up in the car in front of Roxanne's house, the owner of which was now back in normal clothing as well as Amaya, which was very surprising considering that the car is a total wreck. In fact, when they stopped, the front bumper came off.
"You nervous?", Roxanne asked.
"Yeah. A little.", Max responded.
"You're doing the right thing, son.", Goofy assured.
"Yeah, I know. But her dad would think otherwise.", Max responded.
"Well, look on the bright side. Like last time, I'm coming with. But this time, I'm doing this for both you and her. One Goof to another.", Amaya grinned to Max.
"Thanks, Amaya. It means a lot.", Max grinned, earning Amaya's nod.
Max then went to the front door as Amaya and Roxanne followed and rang the doorbell before Roxanne's father answered.
"Uh, hi! Remember me?", Max asked.
"Oh, you must be that boy with Amaya and my girl, Roxanne. That's saying something because here you are.", Roxanne's father chuckled.
"Okay, Daddy. What happened?", Roxanne asked.
"Well, you should know. I saw you all on TV at the Powerline concert.", Roxanne's father responded, making Max's heart sink.
"You what? Really?", Max asked in worry.
"Yes, really. You all looked so happy together, dancing with the great Powerline.", Roxanne's father grinned, lifting Max's heart back up steadily.
"I didn't know you like Powerline, Daddy.", Roxanne spoke in surprise.
"Neither did I.", Amaya added.
"Well, I remember being in a band once. Although, I am kinda miffed that you kept that a secret. I thought you were going fishing.", Roxanne's father admitted.
"Well, we were. And you're not gonna believe this. We did go fishing on the way there. And not just at a rest stop, either.", Roxanne responded.
"What?", Roxanne's father puzzled.
"Well, the thing is, sir... At first, I wanted to go fishing because I wanted to honor our Mom's memory. She died when I was young due to a heart virus.", Amaya responded.
"She did?", Roxanne's father asked before Amaya nodded.
"But along the way at the road trip, I realized I was too caught up in the past to look to the future. So, there was a slight change in the directions. I realize now that the best way to honor her memory, as nice as the fishing trip was, moving on seems to be the best way to honor her memory. Every day.", Amaya responded with a sad grin.
"And who knows? Maybe the next time we leave on a road trip, we will definitely go fishing at Lake Destiny. That said, uh, is it okay if I date your daughter?", Max assured.
"Well, in that case, put 'er there. But don't shake. Unless you mean it.", Roxanne's father spoke with a slight glare before Max turned to Roxanne, who nodded to him before Max then took a deep breath and shook his hand.
"All right.", Roxanne's father grinned.
"So, you want to do something tonight?", Roxanne asked.
"Definitely! Oh! Oh no, I can't! I can't.", Max realized.
"What?", Roxanne glared playfully as Roxanne's father glared as well at the same time.
"Well, I'm kinda doing something with my dad. Honest! How about tomorrow?", Max asked.
"Deal.", Roxanne responded as she extended her hand for Max to shake only for Max to kiss Roxanne instead before they both giggled and Max let out a full Goofy laugh and covered his mouth, but Roxanne just smiled.
"Say, where is your father, anyway?", Roxanne's father asked.
"Oh. He's out by the back of the car.", Max responded before he led the way out and then gestured to Goofy, who was back at the car where he managed to get the front bumper back on the car before grinning and pointing at it.
And then, all of a sudden, the car exploded, sending Goofy flying. With a full Goofy yell, Goofy landed head first on the roof of Roxanne's porch, going halfway through with his head and arms sticking through to the porch area before he chuckled and waved at Max, Amaya, Roxanne, and her father with Max, Amaya, and Roxanne smiling.
"Sir..., I'd like you to meet my Dad!", Max introduced.
"Well, well, well. I understand that you used to do some fishing back in the day.", Roxanne's father grinned.
"Used to? I'm an expert.", Goofy grinned before the group all laughed and the camera rose to the blue sky.
They all laugh and it went up to the blue sky before then showing Roxanne and Max together at school as they started doing some things together as each event was described by a much older Max and a much older Roxanne (although as young adults).
"Ever since that one vacation, we started dating publicly, which made some girls jealous of Roxanne and some guys jealous of me.", Max began.
"We even applied for the same college so we would never be apart. Even Max and his family's relationship got better as he promised to make sure he is able to go on vacation with his family.", Roxanne added.
"And we even planned a special vacation every 5 years to honor my mother and visit her gravestone every few weeks. Oh, and we just started preparing for when we finally go to college.", Max added.
"But that's a story for another time.", Roxanne finished.
First, it showed the Disney Logo before then showing Max, Amaya, and Roxanne tossing the luggage toward Bobby for fun as he dodged it.
"They're a son and a daughter going off to college.", the narrator spoke before it then showed the van pulling away as Goofy rushed over.
"Going already?", Goofy asked.
"See ya.", Max, Amaya, and Roxanne waved.
"Goodbye, my little college man.", Goofy spoke sadly.
"And going for the extreme adventure.", the narrator spoke as it then showed Max, Amaya, and Roxanne riding across the street in their mini karts next to their opponent before it showed the five raising their hands and doing a high five.
"Let's do it to it! Whoo-hoo! Yes!", Max, PJ, and Bobby shouted excitedly as it even showed them biking along the many small hills, even jumping in the air, before then showing Goofy in the room as he entered, wearing funky clothes from the 70's.
"Until...", the narrator added.
"Maxie!", Goofy shouted.
"Dad?!", Amaya spoke in surprise before Max gave a shout of surprise.
"I'm just a-yearning for some learning!", Goofy spoke before the classmates laughed with Goofy removing his hat, which was revealed to be disco-like.
"This October and only on Blu-Ray and DVD...", the narrator spoke.
"Nooooooooooooo!", Max shouted.
"One Goofy dad is about to learn how to groove.", the narrator spoke as it showed a record vinyl disc landing in the player and a disco ball descending before everyone turned to notice Goofy in a white disco outfit with the inside of it being purple before everyone's mouths dropped in surprise.
Shake your groove thing, Shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah
"Disney presents, a movie that proves. No matter how old you are, you never stop learning...", the narrator began as it then showed someone motioning to Goofy with a wag of her finger, making him widen his eyes as his ears straightened up and his flaps on his clothes flapped before dancing as PJ danced along as well with Max, Roxanne, and Amaya skating together before it then showed Roxanne giggling with Goofy stepping onto the ramp afterwards as Amaya noticed from the top.
"Max, watch out!", Amaya shouted as Max then saw Goofy in front of him, much to his surprise.
"...that family comes first. Even your dad is Goofy.", the narrator spoke as Max practically skated into Goofy as Roxanne skated alongside him with no problem for her case with both going up the air as Roxanne looked up before the latter was then shown falling off the park exit before falling onto the stairs by the rump with a bounce.
"Dad, you're scaring people.", Max spoke as he swiped the disco wig from Goofy before then showing the logo for "An Extremely Goofy Movie" in a white background.
"An Extremely Goofy Movie.", the narrator spoke before it showed someone who looked quite familiar to the legendary Big foot.
"Goody, goody.", the person spoke before it then showed Max, Amaya, and Roxanne in the air, skating.
"Shredding onto Blu-Ray and DVD. October 11th, 2021.", the narrator spoke as the scene then went down, showing the words in a black background, "On Blu-Ray and DVD Oct. 11, 2021" before going back up in time to show Goofy skating right in front as he gave a goofy yell and crashed.
A/N: So, what'd you think? Pretty great story, huh? Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta focus on the recent ones I have so far, especially some of Misaki Ayuzawa234's stories as well.
