Happy Memorial Day! Here is the next! Next chapter is going to be fun. This was my least favorite mission of the story. But we're going to enjoy it!

Big Bess was seen slowly driving on the road, but the trio of Lillie, Mia and Bete were all struggling to see.
"Ah hell. There's fog up ahead. I can't see more than twenty yards." Bete said in frustration.
"We're pushing through regardless." Mia ordered/said.
"Oh no, they're in the fog. Even more opportunities for something bad to happen" Hestia said worriedly.
Mia: "Arde, I'll drive. You jump out and scout ahead."
"I don't like that." Lillie said in annoyance.
"There's not much choice in the matter. Mia is wounded, and Bete needs to do double duty on the guns." EVAH replied
"Gonna have to agree. They'll probably need someone to lead them through the fog in case something comes up" Hermes added
"But they're in the middle of a forest with German's Hela knows where! That's gonna get Lillie killed!" Welf argued in disbelief.
"Well, it looks like the Lillie on the screen is gonna get out anyways" Misha stated, causing everyone to look back at the screen.
Lillie stopped the tank as Mia spoke to her once more before she got out.Mia: Don't be a hero, lass. Just do your job."
"Just please survive" Bell, Haruhime and Hestia begged.
Lillie was then seen hopping out of Big Bess with his pistol out before closing the hatch door behind her and looking around for any hostiles. Once she noticed that the area was clear, she then went up and ahead of Big Bess, pistol pointed ahead of her in the case of any enemies.Mia: Let's all get through this in one piece, eh? If you get into trouble, we'll be right behind you."
"Well, that's at least comforting to know" Tsubaki said.
"Certainly. Knowing that a tank has your back will probably increase your confidence" Lunoir said in agreement.
Lillie nodded as she went forwards, with Mia driving Big Bess behind her. Lillie kept her gaze in front of her but occasionally looked downward in case if she spotted any Anti-Tank mines or some sort of trap.
"Do they have any like Anti-Tank or vehicle weapons under the ground? She's looking awfully close to the ground?" Bell asked
"I believe so, though they were relatively new during this war I think. I can't necessarily confirm it 100% but she's looking for mines. Plate shaped explosivesthat when steeped in they explode." EVAH answered, causing Lillie, Mia and Bete to all groan
"Well if there's any there that's gonna be fun for them to deal with" Rose sarcastically said.
"More like stressful." Nazza and Dionysius both added together.
Through the forest, Lillie was able to spot the blown up remains of fellow a British Mark V Tanks Mia stopped Big Bess and took a look at the tank from the inside before popping her head outside of the tank.
Mia: God almighty, that's a field gun's doing. Arde, have a look up ahead. If there's a field gun, you need to deal with it."
"Is that necessary?" Mia and Bete both asked in serious thought.
"They can't risk letting Big Bess receive any sort of major damage" EVAH replied, "I'd imagine that it would be much wiser to simply send one person to deal with it than a tank that can't see well. Not only that, but the fog will probably end up helping Lillie" EVAH added as Mia sighed.
"Lillie better make it through alright" she said
"I don't know how the other me is going to do it though." Lillie said.
"This is Lillie we're talking about, of course she can do it!" Bell added.
"Yes, but in this universe she isn't a Pallum so size isn't on her side. She's also 5 foot 6 here as well. She's just a standard soldier" EVAH said. Only adding file to the worry fire.
"Well jeez, thanks for adding that" Hestia said as she glared at EVAH
Mia: If things go sour, we'll come in blasting. Otherwise, we'll bring Bess up when you give the signal."
Lillie nodded as she took a deep breath before heading off towards where the field gun likely was. Lillie went through a small pathway that was formed by nature, with her pistol at the ready in case if anyone came up and she had to kill them quickly. Suddenly, she heard a German soldier speaking out loud, causing Lillie to crouch and try and blend in with her environment, which thankfully matched with the clothing she was currently wearing."You're real lucky that what you're wearing kinda matches the environment" Hermes said as everyone there modded in agreement.
"I suppose so. Hopefully I can get through this in one piece" Lillie replied.
The German soldier didn't suspect a thing and walked by her. Lillie looked back at where the German came from to see if anyone was behind him, but realized that no one was nearby. Lillie quickly stood back up and slowly, yet quietly, she walked up to the lone German and put her pistol away before taking out a shovel."A Shovel!?" Lillie said shocked and horrified at the choice of weapon,
"Why would she take out a shovel of all things?" Lefiya said equally shocked.
"Shovels are actually quite useful tools, watch." Chloe said as she focused on the viewing, ignoring the shocked looks. True to her words Lillie quickly covered the German's mouth before using the shovel and swinging it down on the German's neck killing him instantly as his body fell to it's knees, while Lillie quickly took the shovel out of his neck and dropped his body, with a large pool of blood streaming out of his body.
"OH SHIT!" Some of the younger adventures yelled in shock.
"Told you." Chloe said as her eyes showed approval at the way Lillie killed the German.
"We saw that at the start with Cassandra and others fighting with whatever they could get their hands on, and we're seeing the same here" EVAH replied.
Lillie then quickly moved into cover behind some sand bags before looking back at the dead body, where it seemed like no one spotted. She listened to the other German soldiers, and from what she could tell from their tone of voices, they didn't suspect a thing.
"Well, at least no one spotted the body." Bell nervously said
"True, but eventually someone will find the body soon if Lillie doesn't deal with everyone." Chloe said showing her "expertise" at being an assassin.
Lillie looked back ahead of her and spotted a large tent that seemed to have weapons inside of it, with a German soldier sitting down on a stool and cleaning his Rifle. Similar to before, Lillie slowly got out of her cover once she thought the coast was cleared, and slowly made her way to the unsuspecting German soldier with her shovel out. Similar to before, Lillie covered the man's mouth before bringing down her shovel into his neck, causing the German to make a choking sound before going limp and dropping dead. The rifle the German was holding however, dropped onto the ground, making a rather loud noise.
"I'm never gonna get used to this" Lillie shakily said
"Not with sloppy work Like that." Chloe said crossing her arms not pleased with seeing how Lillie killed the German.
"Umm, you seem quite the expert. Chloe." Eina said, sorta asking the million valis question.
"Chloe is a trained assassin." Mia simply said as she too was looking at the viewing. Ignoring the surprised and shocked looks.
That loud noise alerted another nearby German soldier, who said something in German, as if he were wondering how his friend, who was currently dead on the floor, was doing and if he was ok.
"Oh gods, he heard Lillie" someone said in concern.
Lillie muttered a curse to herself as she quickly put her back against the wall next to one of the entry ways of the tent, the same wall that she heard the third German soldier speak from. Lillie readied herself as she heard the third German's footsteps closing in on the tent, with the German presumably asking out loud 'what was up' in German.
The German soldier then went in the tent, only to see his dead comrade on the floor. German soldier: Heilige Scheiße.
Lillie then quickly made her appearance known and slammed her shovel into the German Soldier's neck, causing a decent amount of blood to come out of the German soldier's neck from the amount of force that Lillie used, with some of the blood getting on Lillie before she pulled the shovel out. The German to make choking sounds as he reached to cover his neck as he was chocking and suffocating before dropping on the ground, with a large pool of blood forming around him.
This caused a few of the adventures to instinctively touch their necks, as if they were the ones who got hit in the neck by Lillie, with them and everyone else also cringing a bit.
Lillie quickly tossed the shovel away and took the Germans Bayonet and quickly stabbed him in the heart.
Lillie took a deep breath before looking over at the weapon that the German soldier that she had killed earlier, which appeared to be the standard rifle of the army. Lillie picked it up and also got some ammo that was left on a counter nearby for the rifle.
Lillie then poked her head out of the tent and spotted the last two German Soldiers both causally chatting. Mentally debating on what to do, Lillie simply decided to use her pistol and fired two shots, both shots landing on the German soldier's heads and killing them instantly.
"And that's the first area cleared." I've seen better but not bad. Chloe said nodding.
"Probably a few more to go" Mia added.
Lillie then whistled, with Big Bess being heard moving up in the background, driving through some of the barbed wire that was meant to hopefully stop infantry, but clearly couldn't stop a tank. Mia then poked her head out of Big Bess and looked around at the dead corpses caused by Lillie, causing her too whistle out loud.
Mia: "Magic Driver, that's magic. Wouldn't even know there was a war on, eh?"
"While I don't condone killing people all the time, it is impressive that you were able to kill them all without alerting everyone" Mia said.
"Thanks, I guess" Lillie unsurely replied.
Mia: "Hang back, I'm pushing through the wire."
Mia went back in and took control of Big Bess before driving it through the Barbed Wire that was blocking their path, with Lillie holding back. Once Big Bess was through the Barbed Wire, Lillie then walked right through the path that Big Bess had set before quickly jogging in front of Big Bess as Mia stopped it before peaking his head out of the tank.
Unfortunately, she couldn't see far as there was still a good amount of fog preventing her from being able to see well.
Mia: "I can't see a damn thing. Arde, get up front and lead us through. Don't get too far ahead."
"How large is this forest?" Lillie asked.
"I'd say it's a decently sized forest. Not massive, but not small either" EVAH replied.
Lillie nodded and took lead, this time having her rifle out led Big Bess through the fog, keeping an eye out for mines and any signs of danger.
"Well, I guess it's a good thing that Lillie's got that gun now, right?" Misha asked.
Suddenly, gunshots were heard from a distance, causing Lillie and Big Bess to stop in their tracks, with Lillie aiming her Rifle at where she heard the gunshots, while Mia poked her head out of the hatch, trying to see if the gunshots were directed towards them, which thankfully they weren't.
Mia: "Looks like there may be trouble up ahead. You go scout ahead and if everything is alright give us a signal. We'll come to help if we hear any trouble."
"Wouldn't it be a better idea to just bring in Big Bess?"
"There's probably another Field gun that could deal some destroy Bess. It'd probably be best for them to have Lillie go in again" EVAH explained.
"The Germans made a good call to fortify this forest then." Rose said.
"Definitely. Also it sucks for Lillie" Welf reminded.
Lillie nodded again before moving on ahead, choosing to take a pathway to the left so she could maybe spot what potential trouble there was from behind.
Lillie slowly moved ahead before spotting two German soldiers near what appeared to be some ruins. One of the German's was taking a smoke break, while the other was entering a nearby cellar. Seeing this as a good opportunity to deal with two German's relatively easily, Lillie slowly moved towards the Smoking German, taking cover behind a pillar before taking out her pistol and removing one bullet from it. She then flicked the bullet towards the smoking German, away from her.
"Using the bullet as a distraction. Smart." Chloe lightly praised.
The Smoking German looked at where the bullet landed in confusion, before walking up to the thrown bullet and crouched down to pick it up and inspect. He then muttered something in German, only for Lillie to come up behind him and bring down her bayonet onto his neck, causing him to drop the bullet and cigar as he choked on his blood. Lillie then put her leg on his back before kicking him into the ground, removing her bayonet from his neck at the same time.
"Now that was the most brutal one so far" Bell said in some shock
Lillie then made her way to the cellar and peaked her head inside, where she spotted the other German soldier inspecting one of the weapons in one of the crates located inside of the cellar. Lillie stealthily made her way to the unsuspecting German soldier with her bayonet out, but as she made her way to the German soldier, something nearby fell down.
"Oh shit" Raul said in horror as he just smacked his face.
The German looked back only to see Lillie right there, causing him to yelp in shock as he went to aim the weapon he was holding at Lillie, only for Lillie to quickly react by grabbing her bayonet and throwing it horizontally and right into his chest, a truly lucky throw causing him to yell in pain as Lillie charged at him and quickly pulled it out and started to stab him in the neck.
No one said anything as they only looked on in shock and some in horror, at how this Lillie could act so brutally.. or was it survival instinct.
"Almost each time she's killed someone it has been worse than the last." Hestia said in a repressed tone.
"And no doubt it's going to continue." Loki said, also a bit shocked at how brutally Lillie is killing some of the Germans.
Lillie quickly took out the bayonet and looked around for anything that she could use. Seeing some crates she went to look into them and spotted a Silenced Pistol that she took, and quickly taking some nearby ammunition for it, before opening up the other two crates, in the first one she found some spare grenades, which she took, while in the second one she found herself what appeared to be an shotgun which she took. Lillie then exited the dungeon and went by the ruins before stumbling across two paths she could take, one that led straight to where she and Mia heard the commotion from earlier, and the other that gave Lillie the high ground, which Lillie decided to wisely take.
Lillie slowly moved up to the high ground, but unfortunately for her, the fog still prevented her from being able to see, forcing her to have to move down and away from the high ground so she could see better.
"That fog really is being a pain in the ass." Welf said.
"Certainly" Lillie said with an exhausted tone.
She soon spotted what appeared to be more ruins, with some torches around the ruins providing light and helping her see through the fog better. She spotted two German soldiers stationed near a Field gun, with one inspecting the Field gun for any sort of damage while the other appeared to be trying not to fall asleep, presumably tired or bored out of his mind. Two more Germans were heard speaking to each other in German, with the tone of their voices seeming to be heated, as if they were in an argument.
Taking the opportunity, Lillie took out her Silenced pistol and fired two rounds at the Sleepy German and his ally, with the two soon dropping dead after both headshots.
Lillie then rounded the corner and spotted the two German's arguing, while two other Germans were spotted nearby, one watching the two and making sure that this didn't escalate further, while the other looked rather amused, but looked like he would rather be doing something else.
Lillie decided to not go for those four yet, as she didn't have a good opening on them, and instead opted to go to the other side of the ruins, where she spotted two more Germans entering a pathway for patrol. Although one of them had stopped and seemed to be trying to fix his clothing while the other impatiently waited on.
Lillie slowly made her way to the two and decided to take both her Pistol and bayonet. She aimed her pistol at the Impatient German and opened fire, shooting him in the head and killing him. The German fixing himself looked at his fallen comrade in shock before looking over to Lillie, who quickly rushed over to him and stabbed him in the neck, leaving a nasty sight that had blood streaming out of it as he went limp.
This got a sharp scream from Anakitty as she remembered how her counterpart died.
"I-I'm starting to feel awful about this" Lillie shakily said, causing Hestia to quickly comfort her, trying to help her calm down.
After taking a quick breath, Lillie turned around went back back to where she first spotted the argument between the two German soldiers, with the two bystanders still being there. After waiting for a moment, the German who looked a bit bored at the fight got up and said something in German before he left, leaving the third German to have to watch the fight on his own, while the two who were having an argument were starting to get physical with each other.
"Oh they're really starting to get physical" Dionysius said.
"That'll actually give Lillie a bit of an advantage" Chloe said.
"They're probably fighting over a woman." Freya simply said, a tiny smile on her face.
Lillie quickly tracked where the German who was leaving was heading to and quickly moved around to where he was heading, which appeared to be where Lillie first entered the ruins. Lillie then found herself not far behind the German as he went to take out a cigar for a quick smoke break.
Lillie was about to stab her bayonet into the German soldier's neck, only for her to accidentally step on a stick, snapping it and causing the German to turn around in confusion. When he did, he saw Lillie panic as she tried to swing her bayonet, only for the German to widen his eyes in shock and quickly put his arm up and block her arm, thus stopping her from being able to hit him with the bayonet before quickly punching Lillie in the face with his fist and knocking her bayonet out of her hand.
"LILLIE!" Her familia screamed in horror and fear
"It looks like this one isn't going down without a fight" Bete said.
"Come on Lillie!" Bell and Hestia both shouted, hoping that Lillie would win.
Lillie tried to regain her balance and went for a desperate swing on the German, but he was able to dodge the punch and responded with a right hook and an uppercut to Lillie's chin, sending her stumbling back and forcing her to have to catch herself on a nearby large piece of stone bricks from the ruins.
"Fuck!" Welf yelled in anger.
"Please don't lose" Lillie begged her too her other
Lillie looked down at the stone bricks and spotted a Spiked Club, before looking back to see the German quickly moving his way to Lillie with a knife out, ready to finish the job.
As he went for a slash on Lillie, she quickly ducked and punched the German in the balls, causing him to yell in pain as he dropped his knife and instinctively moved his hands to his balls in pain, barely keeping himself on his feet.
"OH!" Most of the women shouted in praise and cheers, as all of the men cringed at the hit.
Lillie then took the opportunity to pick up the Spiked Club before turning around and smacked it against the German soldier's skull as hard as she could, with the spikes stabbing him and the force used killing him instantly.
"Damn" Bete said as the German's body on screen hit the ground.
"That was also brutal" Lillie shakily said.
"What's new?" Loki sarcastically asked, though she too was a bit horrified at the way the German had gone.
"Well, at least you won?" Welf unsurely said.
Lillie took a few deep breaths, before using her hand to wipe some blood that was coming out of her nose from the right hook that the German had sent. Lillie looked up at where the remaining three German soldiers were, and it sounded like they were still in an argument, with a punch being heard and a tackle being heard soon after.
"And now they're finally fighting" Tiona deadpanned.
"I'm surprised that they didn't hear any sounds from the fight" Riveria said in a bit of shock
"I bet Lillie' will take care of it" Mia said.
Lillie gathered herself back up and went to pick up her pistol that she had dropped during that skirmish, before looking at the fight between the two German's who were both in that argument earlier, with the third German simply groaning and angrily saying something in German.
The German went to leave and find his buddy, only to run right into Lillie, who whacked him square in the face with her Spiked Club, killing him. The two fighting Germans looked up at Lillie in horror, as she aimed her pistol at the two and fired a single shot, with the bullet piercing through both of their heads and helmets, killing them instantly.
"Well then, that escalated quickly" Rose said with a nervous chuckle.
"Very quickly" Ouranus added.
Lillie quickly took a few deep breaths, trying to recompose herself, before whistling out loud, indicating to Big Bess that the coast was clear. Big Bess was then scene driving up to the scene as Lillie quickly moved herself to the next set of barbed wire. Mia then stopped Big Bess near Lillie before yet again poking her head out of the tank and looking around, impressed at Lillie's work once again.
Mia: "Well done lass, it's like you've been doing this for years! Though ya took bit of a beatin' it seems like."
Lillie: "I'll be fine Ma'am."
Mia: "I hope so lass. Watch yourself, we'll deal with this."
Lillie nodded as Mia got back in the tank and drove Big Bess through the barbed wire, creating a pathway for Lillie to get through. Mia then poked her head out of Big Bess in an attempt to see through the fog while Lillie jogged alongside Big Bess, but unfortunately there was still too much to be able to see, which caused the Tank Commander to groan.
Mia: "Still can't see a damn thing. Arde, lead us through here. Don't try anything crazy lass."
Once again, Lillie made her way in front of Big Bess with her shotgun out as she prepared herself for any sort of surprise. Lillie then soon stumbled across a destroyed Mark V tank, with a lot of Barbed Wire in her way.
Mia poked her head out of Big Bess once she stopped the tank, with her looking at the Barbed Wire in annoyance before looking towards Lillie.
Mia: "You got us this far Arde. I need you to do it again until we're out of these woods."
"Again?" Lillie asked in a mixture of annoyance and nervousness.
"It appears so" Bell answered
"This better be the last time" Hestia muttered in a bit of anger.
Lillie shakily nodded her head, as at this point she was really wanting to just say fuck it and run the tank through here, but she knew that they couldn't risk getting Big Bess some more serious damage, especially after that Artillery Strike.
Lillie moved past to the left of the tank, where she had spotted another small pathway, presumably to more Germans. After slowly moving through the foggy Forest, Lillie heard two Germans talking to each other. She stopped moving and looked over at where the conversation was coming from, where she was just about able to spot two Germans patrolling the area, conversing about something.
Lillie then looked down from where she was and spotted another German sat down on a rock with his gun on the ground, looking out for anything suspicious. Lillie decided to aim her Silenced Pistol at the lone German's head before opening fire, killing the German instantly.
Thankfully for her, with all the fog out, it made it much easier for her to get away with the kill as the Fog was able to cover the dead German pretty well.
"Thank the fog being there" Lillie said in a bit of relief.
Lillie then continued to move on up, where she spotted another German leaning against a wooden pole near a field gun, looking like he was on the brink of falling asleep. Taking advantage of the German being sleepy, Lillie slowly made her way to the German before spotting a nearby knife on a barrel, which she picked up.
"Oh boy" Asfi said, as she and everyone else braced themselves for the knife kill.
Lillie then went on to cover the poor German's mouth before stabbing him in the base of the skull, killing him instantly and making sure he couldn't do anything, before softly letting the body down to prevent much noise from being made.
"Well, that was a bit more efficent, but still brutal" Gareth said while crossing is arms.
She then took out her Silenced Pistol and checked how much ammunition she had left, counting that she only had 7 rounds left.
"Great, only 7." Lillie groaned.
Lillie then looked around through the fog and soon spotted another German working on a nearby field gun, likely making sure that it was combat ready. Lillie was quick to sneak up on him before taking out her Spiked Club and whacking him hard in the back of the neck, killing him instantly as he dropped to the ground dead.
Now that she was near the field gun and was on some higher ground, she tried to see if she could spot anyone else through the fog.
She spotted one German walking in the middle of the dirt road, another two Germans sat down on some barrels and eating sandwiches, and a fourth in what appeared to be a mini watchtower of sorts, standing alone and facing the other direction, trying to see if he could spot anyone.
Oh, this seems to have many more Germans than the previous ones" Freya observed.
"Great, even more people for Lillie to deal with" Hestia, and Mikoto shared in groans.
Deciding to go for the German on the watch tower, Lillie slowly went across the road, hoping that the two Germans who were eating wouldn't spot her and call her out. Thankfully, the two of them were focused on their food and conversation, allowing Lillie to get by and quickly climb on top of a few rocks before finally getting on the Mini Watch Tower.
Lillie slowly crept towards the German while taking out her knife, since the spiked club wouldn't work, before using her left hand to cover the German's mouth and quickly slitted his throat, causing him to choke on his blood and make a choking sound (Which was covered by Lillie's hand).
"And there's the slitting throat stuff" Chloe said, wincing at the way the German had to go out. It reminded er why those were not her favorite means of killing.
"Definitely a way no one wants to go out" Finn said with a frown.
Lillie slowly dragged the body onto the ground and gently rested his corpse on the ground. She then stood back up and looked around. The German that she had recently spotted walking alone had met up with the two Germans that were together and was having a conversation with them, so she decided to turn around and head to the left, where she spotted two Germans by themselves, with one of them standing next to a Field gun while the other appeared to be walking off.
Lillie decided to fire two rounds from her Silenced Pistol, killing them both instantly while nobody seemed to suspect a thing. Lillie then slid down the small yet steep hill that she was on while on the lookout, when she then heard three voices coming from what sounded like inside of a bunker.
Lillie looked at where the voices were coming from, and spotted a doorway to inside of the bunker that was left open, where three German officers seemed to be planning something out.
"Oh nice, a celler" Anya said.
"There's probably some things worth taking in there" Otarl said.
Lillie slowly opened door and pulled out a Grenade, as the three German officers continued to discuss their plans.
"Is that those grenades we've heard about?" Filvis said in concern.
Lillie then took the pin out of the grenade before tossing it in and slamming the door shut, startling the German officers who then noticed the grenade that was right near them.
German Officer: "GRANATE-"
An explosion was heard soon after, but thanks to Lillie slamming the door into the bunker shut, it did not make too much of a noise to alert anyone outside of the camp.
Everyone from the Orario looked at the screen in shock as EVAH simply said, "Yes, it is a grenade to answer everyone's question"
Unfortunately, the three Germans that were still in the camp alive heard the explosion and quickly made their way to where the noise came from, with Lillie quickly running away from the scene and taking cover behind a wooden fence.
The three Germans then arrived at the bunker, with two of the Germans going in while one of them stayed outside to watch for anything.
Once the two Germans were inside, Lillie popped out of her cover and fired one bullet, which went straight into the German's skull and killed him instantly.
Lillie then made her way back to the bunker, where she spotted the two Germans checking out the blood and guts/remains of the commanders, shocked at how brutally they went out.
At the sight of the brutal scene, Bell, Eina, Chigusa, Lillie, Lefiya, line, Anakitty, and Misha all threw up.
"My god" Riveria shakily said in horror at seeing the results, trying to resist the urge to throw up In her moment of shock.
Lillie took advantage and ran behind one of the German's with her Spiked Club out before smacking it hard on the back of his head, killing him instantly and alarming his ally.
Before the other German could do anything, Lillie had raised her Spiked Club again and with a yell, swung it down on his face, killing him instantly as well as his blood being sent everywhere.
This caused those who had already thrown up to gag pretty badly, while a few others joined them
"Dam it, why did your war have to be like this?!" Hestia asked in anger
"Because it simply is" EVAH replied.
After the last remaining German's body dropped, Lillie nearly dropped her Spiked Club as she started to take quick breaths.
"She's hyperventilating." Naza and Amid said in concern.
"Can't blame her" Take said.
Lillie then quickly recomposed herself and managed to slow her breathing down to slow and deep breaths.
"She's managed to calm down" Miach said in relief.
Once Lillie was 100% ready again, she whistled out loud again as she moved towards the dirt road, indicating once more to Big Bess that the area was once again clear. Big Bess was heard driving towards Lillie's location in the background, with Lillie jogging over to the bridge that led them out of the forest, with said bridge being ABSOLUTELY COVERED with Barbed Wire.
"Oh that's a lot of Barbed Wire." Tsubaki said in shock.
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Mia nervously said.
"Same here." Lillie and Bete both responded.
Mia drove Big Bess to the bridge before stopping and poking her head out to look at Lillie with a light smile.
Mia: "Not bad on that one Lillie, we're nearly out of the woods now. According to the map, we should be out of these sodding woods."
"Finally!" Many people cheered
"No more fog too?" Bell and Lillie both hopefully asked.
"Don't think so" EVAH replied.
"Even better" Mia said with a light smile.
Mia: "We need to get across this here bridge and then it shouldn't be much further."
Right as Lillie was about to respond, a Field Gun shell was suddenly seen making contact with a nearby rock, startling Lillie and Mia, who looked at the bridge to see a small group of Germans working on the Field Guns to fight Big Bess.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" everyone yelled in shock and surprise.
"I guess they're cover is blown." Tsubaki said in a bit of shock.
"OH WELL THAT'S JUST GREAT!" Lillie and Mia both yelled in anger.
Mia: "On the bridge! Germans! Let em have it!"
Bete: (From inside the tank) "Arde! Get a move on!"
Lillie nodded and quickly took cover behind Big Bess as Mia quickly got back in Big Bess and drove the tank right through the Barbed Wire and towards the Germans, with Bete opening fire on the German's on the left side of the bridge while Mia used the Machine guns on the front of Big Bess and opened fire on those that Bete couldn't hit.
Lillie followed closely behind with her shotgun out, ready to use it once she was close enough in range.
"Great! There's Field Guns too!" Lillie shouted in anger.
Bete was able to quickly deal with his Field Gun and soon turned his attention to some of the infantry remaining, while Mia was struggling to deal with hers.
Lillie quickly took out a spare grenade that she had and took out the pin before throwing it towards the remaining Field gun crew, who all got blown up and killed from the explosion. Unfortunately, there was still a bunch of nearby infantry opening fire on them.
Mia and Bete both fired on as many Germans as they could while Lillie quickly ran over to a nearby German's dead body and picked up what appeared to be a Rifle, before turning it on the German's and returning fire, scoring a few headshots on those Germans that Mia and Bete both missed out on.
It didn't take long for the trio of Lillie, Mia and Bete to clear out those remaining German soldiers as the fog had finally started to go away and the sunlight was finally seen.
"Well shit, they actually made it through that!" Loki said in shock and relief.
"Thank gods!" The Hestia Familia, Loki familia and the hostess staff all said in relief. Freya also sharing in silent agreement.
Mia slowly drove Big Bess forwards while Lillie followed close behind. Lillie however took this opportunity to drop her shotgun in favor of an SMG that was dropped by a nearby German, and she also got some extra ammunition too from those dead corpses.
Mia then stopped Big Bess on the pathway, which led to what seemed like a fortified German Stronghold, which appeared to have a good amount of field guns. Mia poked her head out of Big Bess and was able to confirm this, which caused her to whistle in a bit of shock.
This caused everyone to look at the Stronghold in Agreement, with Lillie, Bete and Mia, their eyes twitching in anger.
"Well isn't that just great" Finn sarcastically said.
Mia: "There's a bunker on the ridge up ahead. Looks well defended too. Those field guns could quickly ruin our day."
Mia then reached inside of Big Bess and pulled out some Sticks of Dynamite as well has the Detonator used to ignite said Dynamite, before tossing it over to Lillie, who was quick to catch them.
Mia: "You go in and clear out those guns, we'll move up and finish the job."
"No no no no, you're going in with Big Bess" Hestia angrily said.
"And risk getting it blown up and compromising the mission? As well as killing them. Sorry goddess, but that is the worst option." EVAH said
Mia glared at EVAH.
"While I wouldn't like to have to risk Miss. Arde' life. Sending her alone is more than likely the best possible option" Finn said.
"Finns right." Ouranus said, if a bit reluctantly. They're expecting a tank that would be extremely obvious to find. Just sending in Lillie alone could probably give her a bit of stealth to work on" he finished.
But it's daytime! They'll spot her instantly!" Hestia yelled in anger.
"If they do spot her and open fire, then Big Bess will come in to help her. I also would like to point out that Lillie's life is expendable in this scenario-" EVAH stated mistakingly.
CRASH* "Don't you dare say Lillie's life is expendable" Hestia familia all venomously said, as they plus Lillie and all of the adventures and most gods in glared at EVAH, after what they saw, they'd never want their children too go through that.
"My deepest apologies for my terrible choice of words, but War and anything outside of your little skirmishes with Rakia is an entirely different world to what you are dealing with right now." EVAH replied back,
Lillie slowly took a deep breath before nodding as Mia went back inside of Big Bess. She put the Dynamite away and quickly made her way forwards and towards the Field Guns.
Due to the fact that they were now in the sunlight and there was no fog over them anymore, stealth had become much more difficult to do. 'And stealth just became miles more difficult' Lillie said in her mind.
Lillie ran from cover to cover, hoping that none of the German's spotted her, as they were definitely on alert after the small skirmish that she and Big Bess had with the previous group of Germans. She stopped at where she was, which was near what appeared to be a bunker, in order to take a few deep breaths and so she can figure out where some of the field guns were.
She spotted one Field gun near her, another at the other side of the stronghold, and a last one at the top of the stronghold. Lillie decided to go for the nearest one first, which surprisingly only had one German guarding it.
"Wait, they don't seem like they have much people here" Lefiya said in a bit of shock.
"Looks like we were worrying over nothing" Bell replied.
"Right..." Lillie and Mia both muttered.
Lillie slowly moved behind the German as she took her Spiked Club out, before swinging it down on the back of his head, killing him or at least giving him a pretty serious brain injury. Lillie then took a few sticks of Dynamite and dropped them next to the Field Gun, before quickly moving onto the field gun on the top, as it was the easiest for her to get to from there.
She spotted two German's patrolling the top part of the stronghold, while a third was seen working on a Light German tank and a 4th was seen playing around with a knife near the second field gun.
"Oh great, there's a damn tank too!" Tsubaki shouted in anger.
"I'm really thinking that we should just go for it and bring in Big Bess" Lillie nervously said.
"Oh we definitely should've" Hestia, Mikoto, Bell and Mia all said in agreement.
"Well, it looks like the Mia on screen isn't doing it" Miach nervously said.
Not wanting to piss them off Lillie decided to use her Silenced Pistol and fired two more rounds into the skulls of the patrolling Germans and a third round into the German working on the light tank, killing them instantly.
She then quietly made her way to the German at the field gun playing around with a knife before taking out her Spiked Club again and smacking it down on the back of his head, likely killing him instantly. Lillie went on to drop another few sticks of Dynamite onto the Field gun, and left a few more near the tank.
Lillie was then about to make her way to the final Field Gun, when suddenly she heard a German yelling "Heilige Scheiße?!"
nearly everyone shouted in surprise, shock, horror or somewhere in between as;
Lillie looked over to the first Field Gun she had gone to and spotted a small group of Germans over there, with one of them inspecting the dead German's corpse and another one inspecting the Field gun incase if it was messed with, not spotting the Dynamite.
"Oh that's just great!" Lillie yelled in anger, Panicking for her other self.
Lillie took out the detonator and pushed the handle down, causing the Dynamite to explode and killing all of the Germans at once in a VERY gory way.
"Oh shit!" The audience yelled in shock, or puked at seeing the results once the Germans landed.
"That's gonna alert anyone within a few miles" Finn said in a bit of shock.
Big Bess was then heard pulling up to the scene as a group of Germans were seen rushing towards Lillie, who shot a few of them with her SMG while Bete was able to mow the rest of them down with his machine gun.
Mia: "There will be more on the way, look around for anything useful!"
"At least Bess is in the fight for once. Hestia said finally happy to see some help for her child, too which most of the others nodded in agreement.
Lillie nodded before running into a bunker that the Germans had built and quickly scavenged the bunker for anything useful.
She found Anti-Tank grenades, more Dynamite, some more ammunition for her Rifle and SMG, and what appeared to be a Tankgewehr M1918.
"What is that thing?" Bell asked in curiousity. It's taller then most of us!" Eina said in surprise. The smiths looked at it in surprise and a surveying eye.
"That is the German made Mauser 1918 T-Gewehr, to Tankgewehr for short. That was the worlds first Anti Tank rifle. Its name says it all, it's main focus was on countering British and French tanks" EVAH explained.
"So an Anti-Tank Rifle AND Anti-Tank grenades? Lillie's stacked!" Welf said impressed.
"She definitely is" hephaestus chuckled in agreement.
Mia: "Reinforcements pouring in!"
Lillie quickly took all of these before running back outside with her Rifle out, where she a small group of Germans charging down the hill, with one of them trying to get to the last Field Gun that Lillie hadn't dealt with.
A Light German tank was also heard rolling towards Big Bess and opening fire, with Big Bess returning fire.
"Great, they have to deal with another tank" Someone said l in disbelief.
Lillie quickly shot and killed the German before turning her attention on the rest of the Germans, opting to switch out her Rifle for her SMG and quickly mowed them down. Meanwhile, Big Bess and the German Light Tank were heard trading blows while a 2nd German Tank was heard rolling up.
"Of course." Hestia yelled in anger as she smacked her face.
This Tank however, spotted Lillie, with the turret on top looking directly at Lillie, who looked back in horror.
"Oh shit" Gareth and Welf both said.
"RUN!!!" Half the audience shouted as The Light Tank then fired, with Lillie running back into the bunker just in time to avoid getting blown to bits
"That was way too close for comfort!" Lillie shouted in shock. The German Light Tank however then started to open fire with it's machine gun into the Bunker, with the rounds managing to get through the concrete and nearly hitting Lillie had she not dove to the ground.
Lillie stayed on the ground until she heard the tank start to overheat and paused it's rain of bullets directed towards her. She then stood up and booked it outside of the Bunker through the overlook, which actually got Lillie a chance to flank the tank.
Lillie then took out her stolen Tankgewhr before aiming it at the back of the tank and opening fire, with the Anti-Tank rounds piercing through the tank and dealing a massive amount of damage to the tank.
"Holy shit! You said that the Tankgewhr was an Anti-Tank rifle, but I didn't think it'd be that effective!" The smiths, as well as Hermes shouted in shock and awe.
The Driver of the German Light Tank noted where the damage happened and turned towards Lillie, who quickly booking it into cover, and went to persue, when suddenly the sound of a tank exploding to bits was heard.
Lillie: "NO!" Lillie shouted in horror, fearing the worst as her eyes widened in horror thinking the worse.
"NO!"
The German Light Tank driver turned to the noise, pressuming that their ally had delt with Big Bess, only to spot Big Bess standing fine, with the German's ally laying there in smoke and fire.
"We're fine!" Mia and Bete said in relief.
Lillie: "OH THANK GOD!" Lillie said in relief, as she was about to start crying again
"That scared us" Freya said as she took a breath.
"They're still not through yet" Bete pointed out.
The remaining German Light Tank driver was going to open fire on Big Bess, but Lillie then made her reappearance again and aimed the Tankgewhr M1918 at the back of the tank before opening fire, piercing through the armor but this time blowing it up.
"And there goes the final Tank!" Everyone cheered.
"It should be easy from here on out now" Mia said in relief.
Even more German troops were seen moving into the area and joinning the fight, but now with Big Bess not having to worry about tanks anymore, Mia drove Big Bess up towards Lillie as she and Bete both turned their attention to the incoming Germans.
With help from Lillie, the trio were able to deal with the remaining Germans easily.
Mia then poked her head out of Big Bess to view the carnage once she thought it was safe to do so, while Lillie was heard taking a few deep breaths from the fighting that she just went through.
Mia: "Well that's enough fun and games for a Tuesday."
"Amen" Amid said with a sigh that was equal to the Lillie on the viewing screen.
"Yep, way more than enough" Welf chuckled.
Mia: "Get in and drive, Arde. Let's get out of here."
"Finally!" Lillie said in relief.
Lillie nodded as she opened the hatch and finally got back in Big Bess. The screen then cut to a overhead view of the mini battlefield as Big Bess drove off into the sunset.
Mia: "You proved yourself out there lass. A few close calls, but you came through all that when it mattered. Now we'll forget it and move on."
