A/N: And there we have it. The 1st chapter of Monsters VS Aliens. This time, with some new characters, especially a couple of select ones from "Destroy All Humans!". Maybe you know 'em. Pretty surprising, huh? And those new characters will be as follows: Luci Christian as Carolyn Murphy, Matthew Mercer as Matt, Ali Hillis as Tamera Murphy, Tara Strong as Marilyn Murphy, Jennifer Hale as Wendy Murphy (named after Mrs. Murphy, so it'd possibly make her Wendy the 2nd), J. Grant Albrecht as Cryptosporidium (or Crypto for short), and Richard Horvitz as Orthopox (or Pox for short). More will be learned about the new characters soon. For now, enjoy. :)
Monsters VS. Aliens
Chapter 1: Destination: Earth/A Giant Transformation
It all started one day somewhere in outer space. A mothership was near a planet when the latter suddenly exploded, sending forth a sort of black metallic meteorite with a glowing green energy inside, much to the surprise of the resident alien inside said mothership, one who wears a labcoat with armor pieces on it and has several large horns coming out of his head, which is quite big, marking him as a very intelligent alien.
"A meteorite fueled by Quantonium? There this whole time? How intriguing, but finally. After all this time...", the alien commented before another alien, this one looking quite similar to the stereotypical grey aliens but with pointed teeth, reflective eyes, and a space suit with pieces of armor throughout the years.
"What's shaking, Pox? You look a little... what's the word? Constipated.", the 2nd alien puzzled.
"Let's just say that I've noticed something quite out of the ordinary; a superficial event if you will.", Pox responded.
"You lost me.", the 2nd alien responded.
"Shall I tell you a secret? Few of our people know this, but the DNA patterns in our cloning banks are becoming more and more degraded with each new clone.", Pox explained.
"That's bad, right?", the 2nd alien puzzled.
"Only if we want to retain our immortality through cloning. OF COURSE IT'S BAD! That's why I was on my way to that planet to pick up a few...provisions needed to unearth something of great value: a meteorite fueled by the legendary Quantonium, a rare and powerful radioactive energy that can fuel the most elite of spaceships. But according to its current trajectory, it's heading toward a planet we visited many eons ago, a planet seeded with pure Furon DNA at that.", Pox responded.
"Not that I really cared about the planet that just blew up, but lemme get this straight. That Quantonium meteorite is headed toward a hostile planet, and it's being probed? Maybe drained? Maybe even in the middle of being accessed as we speak?", the 2nd alien guessed.
"Well, I wouldn't jump to any conclu...", Pox began before the 2nd alien interrupted.
"I bet you wouldn't. Lemme tell you something, Pox: you're a smart cookie, there's a time for thought and a time for action! And this is one of those times!", the 2nd alien interrupted adamantly.
"Which?", Pox puzzled.
"The second one!", the 2nd alien puzzled.
"Perhaps you're right, 137.", Pox spoke.
"Course I'm right! You kiddin' me? A legendary meteorite stolen by a buncha monkeys?! We gotta go in. We gotta crack some craniums! We gotta get that meteorite back! And then, we gotta...! I gotta...! Brains, man! WHEN DO I GET TO BLOW THINGS UP?!", the 2nd alien shouted.
"Patience, Crypto, patience. I take your point... Prepare the mothership.", Pox ordered.
"That's what I'm talking about! So, what's the name of this crummy planet?", Crypto asked.
"Our destination? The planet Earth...", Pox responded as they looked toward the monitor as it showed the Quantonium meteorite headed for said planet.
Meanwhile, on Planet Earth, at US Outpost FAB220 Antarctica, a couple of men named Ben and Jerry were relaxing inside when a sudden beeping alarmed the former enough to stop playing paddleball and turn off the radio before looking in his laptop.
"Hey, Jerry, you might wanna check this one out. Uh, Palomar just picked it up. Looks like some type of UFO, and it's heading this way.", Ben stated as his laptop showed something approaching the earth.
"How many times do I have to tell you this? UFO's don't exist and we're never gonna see...", Jerry responded right before seeing what the laptop was showing and becoming panicked.
"Wow, its energy signiture is massive.", Ben spoke.
"Holy Cheez-Its! What do we do?! No one ever told us what to do! The only reason I took this job is 'cause you never have to do anything!", Jerry panicked.
"Jerry, stop it. Let me caculate its impact point.", Ben urged before doing so only to notice that it's headed toward an area in Modesto, California.
"Looks like... Modesto California.", Ben spoke in shock before Jerry then phoned in someone.
"Supernova, this is Red Dwarf. We actually have one! Code Nimoy! I repeat, Code Nimoy!", Jerry shouted.
Meanwhile, a girl named Susan Murphy was asleep in her room when she woke up, turned the lamp on and screamed as she saw her three friends with her before they screamed as well with one of them named Wendy using an inhaler, the other named Marilyn drinking some coffee, and the third named Tamara holding the camera before taking a picture with it.
"What are you guys doing here? It's 5:00 in the morning.", Susan puzzled.
"Hurry, turn on the TV! Turn it on now!", Wendy shouted before Susan did so.
"...and some early morning fog, giving way to sunny skies. Seventy-five degrees. A perfect day to stop by the old folk art and craft show down at the fairgrounds, or a perfect day to marry Susan Murphy. I love you, baby.", Derek spoke to the TV.
"I love you, too.", Susan grinned before her sisters, as well as the anchorman, "aw'd".
"And good morning, Modesto!", Derek greeted before the TV then showed a big pumpkin with a Farmer next to it as well as a Channel 172 byline.
"Channel 172.", the TV spoke before Tamara then took a picture with a Susan later getting lipstick applied to her lips and having her nails polished in preparation, with help from her sister, Carolyn, of course.
"You look gorgeous, sweetheart.", Mrs. Murphy grinned.
"Yeah, Susan. You definitely look great.", Carolyn agreed.
"Thanks, guys.", Susan thanked.
Later, at a church, Susan and Carolyn's father was waiting outside when a limo pulled over before he then opened the door.
"Ah, my little girl!", Carl grinned.
"Daddy!", Susan shouted happily as she then hugged him.
"Now, I want you to know that, even though I'm about to give you away... I will always be here to take care of you.", Carl spoke while starting to cry.
"Don't cry because then you're gonna make me cry, and that's just gonna be a mess.", Susan responded, starting to cry herself.
"I can't help it!", Carl sobbed as the two went inside.
Once inside, Mrs, Murphy then opened the doors to the chapel.
"Hello, everyone! Attention, attention! Wedding starts in 30 minutes!", Mrs. Murphy announced as Susan then went inside with Marilyn joining in with her before Derek's mother then went over to her.
"My beautiful daughter-in-law!", the mother spoke.
"Hi, Mama Dietl.", Susan greeted.
"It's like a fairy tale. The Weatherman and the Weatherman's Wife. Romantic.", Mama Dietl spoke.
"I don't think that's a real story, but okay.", Marilyn responded.
"I know. Just think, this time tomorrow, I'm gonna be in Paris! And someday, we won't just be honeymooning there. Derek will become an anchor or a foreign correspondent. And we'll travel all over the world.", Susan grinned.
"Honey, my fingers are crossed.", Mama Dietl spoke before Susan and Marilyn cringed in shock from the sight of how small her right thumb is.
"Uh, Ms. Dietl? Question? What happened to your thumb?", Marilyn asked.
"One thumb is shorter than the other. Runs in the family.
"Derek doesn't have that.", Susan spoke.
"It skips a generation. Your kids are gonna have it!", Mama Dietl responded before laughing.
Later, Susan was outside underneath an awning, sighing in bliss.
"Wow, you look beautiful.", Derek grinned to Susan.
"So do you. I mean, handsome. I mean... Sorry. I'm just a little frazzled. I just spent way too much time with our parents.", Susan apologized.
"Don't worry, OK? We'll be alone soon, just us.", Derek grinned.
"Mmm. Eating cheese and baguettes by the Siene, feeding each other chocolate crepes.", Susan spoke before sighing with Derek a bit on edge, not knowing that a man named Matt was watching nearby.
"Is something wrong?", Susan asked.
"No, no! It's just that, well... There's been a slight change of plans. We're not going to Paris.", Derek explained, not knowing that Carolyn, Tamara, Marilyn, and Wendy were already going outside and seeing what's going on nearby.
"What? Why not?", Susan asked.
"Because we're going somewhere better.", Derek responded.
"Better than Paris?", Susan asked.
"Oh, yeah.", Derek responded.
"Where? Tahiti?!", Susan asked excitedly.
"Nope. Fresno.", Derek responded.
"What...?", Matt puzzled.
"Fresno! Fresno.", Susan spoke.
"Fresno?", Carolyn puzzled.
"In what universe is Fresno better than Paris, Derek?", Susan asked.
"In the 'I've got an audition to become Channel 23's new evening anchor' universe. I got the call from the general manager, he wants to come in immediately! Isn't that great?", Derek asked in reply, ticking Matt off as he clenched his hand into a fist, almost as if wanting to hit him.
"Derek! That's... amazing! It's amazing. Fresno's like a top 50 market, isn't it?", Susan asked.
"Actually. It's 55th, but we're on our way, babe! Now, look. About Paris...", Derek began.
"It's OK. It's fine! As long as we're together, Fresno is the most romantic city in the whole world. I'm so proud of you.", Susan responded.
"Of us! Not just me. I mean, of course, but we're a team now. You're so proud of us.", Derek grinned before Susan then playfully pushed him away.
"Now, get out of here. It's bad luck to see ms in my dress.", Susan spoke.
"Oh, come on. You know I don't believe in that stuff. I'll be waiting for you at the altar... the handsome news anchor in the tux. All right? Love you! There, I said it.", Derek spoke before laughing.
"I love you, too.", Susan grinned.
After a moment, Matt walked up to her.
"Sometimes, I honestly don't know how you put up with him.", Matt sighed.
"Well, he's Derek. What can you do?", Susan responded.
"That's just it. Don't you find that odd that he tells you that now, much less infuriating, especially on your wedding day?", Matt asked.
"Well..., yeah, a little, but what's your point?", Susan puzzled.
"The point is, I... I just want you to be happy.", Matt responded.
"So do we.", Carolyn agreed before the two saw her, Tamara, Marilyn, and Wendy as well.
"You guys, too? How long have you three been standing there?", Susan puzzled.
"We just got out a minute after Derek did.", Marilyn responded.
"The point is, you can probably go to Paris next time.", Wendy added.
"Aw. Thanks.", Susan grinned.
Just then, a sudden rumbling sound sounded nearby. That was when Susan and Matt, along with 4 of the former's sisters, saw what they never thought they'd see: a meteorite heading down to Earth.
"We need to go. Now.", Matt urged.
"Good plan.", Wendy agreed before she used her inhaler and she and the others ran down the hill in hopes of avoiding getting hit, only to get hit anyway as Susan, Matt, and Carolyn grunted from the force with the other 3 sisters gasping in shock before the glow of the meteorite dimmed down.
"Oh, no. This is bad!", Marilyn shouted.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Murphy was looking around for Susan.
"Susan! Where could she be? Susan! Where are you?!", Mrs. Murphy shouted before the 3 sisters ran up to her.
"Mom! This is terrible! Susan, Matt, and Carolyn! They're all...!", Marilyn shouted before she, Tamara, Wendy, and their mother noticed Susan, Matt, and Carolyn getting back up just fine, albeit dirtied up.
"Alive...? They're alive!", Marilyn shouted in relief.
"Susan! Where have you been? And how did you all get dirty?", Mrs. Murphy puzzled.
"I think we just got hit by a meteorite.", Susan responded.
"Oh, Susan. Every bride feels that way on her wedding day. My goodness, look at you. You're filthy. Thank goodness I have wet ones.", Mrs. Murphy assured as she ushered Susan and Carolyn inside.
"How did you three survive that?", Wendy puzzled.
"I honestly don't know...", Matt responded.
Elsewhere, near the church, a sort of flying saucer appeared and then softly descended to the ground, the latches appearing from underneath to touch down before the bottom hole opened up with Crypto emerging downwards before then looking around as a holocommunicator of Pox then floated over to him.
"Orthopox to Cryptosporoidium-137. Come in, Cryptosporidium.", Pox spoke via holocommunicator.
"Crypto here. How's the view from the safety of the mothership?", Crypto asked.
"Very funny. Let's just say I'm glad I'm up here and you're down there. Loathsome little planet... Now, Crypto, to ensure the acquisition of the Quantonium runs smoothly, it is imperative we identify the dominant life forms on this world and see if they know where it is. Those lactating bovoids are likely candidates.", Pox stated, gesturing to a few nearby cows.
"Surely you don't mean those foul-smelling gasbags in those hills...", Crypto spoke in disgust.
"Yes, I'm afraid I do.", Pox responded.
"But they're covered in nip...", Crypto began.
"Now, Cryptosporidium!", Pox interrupted urgently before Crypto sighed and moved forward, not knowing that a vehicle marked with a question mark in the middle of a crop circle was nearby as it parked before the men inside got out, carrying a briefcase and rapid-fire guns along with a big tranquilizer dart before closing the car doors.
Meanwhile, inside the church, Carl opened the door before the pianist then played a rendition of "Here comes the Bride" as Susan and her parents stepped forward with Carolyn as her Maid of Honor as Susan handed the flowers to someone near her with Derek lifting the veil before noticing something off about her as the song finished.
"Wow. You're...glowing.", Derek spoke as Susan was, in fact, glowing (literally).
"Thank you.", Susan grinned.
"No. No, Susan, you're, like, really glowing. You're green!", Derek spoke before Susan then noticed what Derek was talking about with Matt and Carolyn each noticing the same thing happening to them as well.
"What?", Carolyn puzzled in worry.
"It's happening to us, too.", Matt stated.
"Oh, no.", Susan spoke before groaning as she started to grow, her hair turning starting to turn silver.
"Derek!", Susan spoke in worry, her dress starting to tear at the seams, albeit not by very much.
"Oh, my gosh!", Susan's mother exclaimed in surprise.
As for Carolyn, her body was undergoing a different transformation. As a matter of fact, her skin started to turn transparent to the point that it's see-through, revealing inside her a glowing energy, worrying her to the point of panic.
"Uh, guys...?! What's happening to me?!", Carolyn spoke in worry.
"Calm down, Carolyn. Everything's gonna be fine.", Wendy assured just as she, Tamara, and Marilyn started glowing before growing just as well as Susan and Matt, but faster.
"Or not...", Marilyn spoke wearily.
"What's going on?! What's happening here?!", Derek puzzled.
"You're all shrinking!", Susan responded as a guess.
"Uh-uh! You're growing! And so are Matt and...your sisters?!", Derek corrected as he saw what was going on.
"Well, make it stop!", Susan exclaimed in worry as her father got out his phone, calle and rushed outside, pushing the pianist out of the way in his panic and jumped through the window, breaking it.
"Get me the government!", Derek spoke as all that transpired.
"This is impossible!", Susan exclaimed as part of her dress was ripped off her and hit someone as he was about to leave.
"No, this can't be happening.", Susan spoke in worry.
"Everyone? You may want to get out.", Matt urged as his clothes were tearing as well, but only showing his under shirt and pants (now shorts at this point) before the crowd then fled in a panic, screaming.
"Wait, wait. Everybody, it's OK! Have some champagne while we're figuring this out!", Susan spoke.
However, Mama Dietl was having trouble opening the door due to her abnormally small thumb.
"Thumbs! Thumbs!", Mama Dietl shouted before she was pushed through the door as everyone all dashed out of the church.
Meanwhile, Crypto was having problems of his own, but in terms of tolerance as he noticed the cows eating cud's of grass with their mouths alone.
"They eat with their mouths? Ugh! I think I'm going to be violently ill!", Crypto spoke to himself before then speaking to the cow.
"Attention, Earth Creature. This planet is now part of the Furon Empire. Your benevolent masters welcome you.", Crypto assured before the cow only mooed and continued eating.
"At this time, we wish to abduct you for the purpose of scientific research. The procedure will be protracted and invasive. Do you have any objections?", Crypto asked before the cow only turned away as it mooed again, both unaware of what's happening inside the church nearby.
"Derek! Help me!", Susan pleaded.
"We can't...fit...much longer...!", Marilyn groaned before she, Susan, Matt, Tamara, and Wendy all grunted.
"Good gracious!", Derek exclaimed before a beam landed on top of Derek, making him grunt.
"Derek!", Carolyn shouted.
Meanwhile, Crypto still wasn't having any luck with cooperation from the cow he's talking to.
"Earth Creature, I am addressing you! Respond or be vaporized!", Crypto threatened just before the cow then went off as if sending something amiss.
"Not talking, huh?", Crypto spoke just before Susan, Matt, Tamara, Marilyn, and Wendy all burst out from the top of the church, breaking apart the tower and causing it to fall as it landed, making the bell ding as Crypto watched in shock, at least by the sight of how big they are compared to the others running out of the church just now.
"Here comes the bride!", a wedding guest shouted as she ran with the others.
"Oh, Carl, it's her wedding day!", Mrs. Murphy exclaimed before two guards dragged her and Carl back for their safety from an apparently dangerous situation.
"Hey! Leave my parents alo...!", Carolyn began before she was suddenly shot with a tranquilizer dart and then fell unconscious.
Meanwhile, Crypto was quite surprised by the sight.
"Hey, Pox? You wanna explain how they got jumbo-sized?", Crypto asked.
"No idea. This is the first time I've ever seen humans emit radiation that strong. It's almost as if...", Pox spoke before realizing something with a gasp.
"Of course! The Quantonium must've been absorbed by those earthlings! And their gigantification is its adverse effect on them.", Pox realized.
"You mean it made them even bigger monkeys than they already are? That is seriously messed up!", Crypto commented in response.
"Be that as it may, it appears we have no choice but to fall back for now. We'll figure out how to extract the Quantonium from them by any means necessary.", Pox stated.
"One of these days, monkeys, you'll get yours... You'll see...", Crypto spoke before taking off via jetpack.
Meanwhile, Susan was frantically looking for Derek.
"Derek? Derek?!", Susan spoke in worry.
"All non-military personnel, clear the area.", the radio urged.
"Beam hurt Derek... Susan?", Derek asked as Susan picked him up.
"Thank goodness you're OK! What's happening to us?", Susan asked as she then walked away with Matt, and the former's 3 sisters following them.
"Don't panic! Don't worry! Whatever you do, don't drop...", Derek began before a rope suddenly grabbed her, causing her to let go of Derek as he fell down.
"Derek!", Susan shouted before Derek landed on a safety trampoline.
Then, more ropes latched onto Susan and the others.
"What are you people? What are you doing?", Susan asked before two soldiers then lunges at Derek.
"Stop it! Be careful!", Susan shouted as she forced one of the ropes away only to get restrained further.
"Calm down, Susan. Getting stressed only makes it worse.", Matt warned.
"Get your hands off me! Don't you know who I am?!", Derek urged, freeing himself from the two guards.
"Please, just leave us alone!", Susan shouted just before a few more tranquilizer darts were launched; one at Susan, another at Matt, and 3 more at Tamara, Marilyn, and Wendy with Susan then getting a tranquilizer dart off her and then tossing it aside only for it to hit one of the shoulders by the foot, barely, making him scream.
"Watch those cables! They're coming down!", the guard shouted.
"Watch out!", the 2nd guard urged before the 5 giants then fell to the ground and wound up unconscious.
"Move it, move it! Let's go! Move it, move it!", the 3rd urged.
"Pull, pull!", the 4th guard shouted.
"Derek?", Susan groaned before falling asleep.
"All right, let's get these babies on the bus.", the radio spoke as the 5 giants fell asleep.
A/N: So, what'd you think? Pretty surprising, huh? Looks like the adventure has just begun. And now for the rewrite for an episode of the classic powerpuff girls "A Made-up Story" called "Blossom's Revenge". You'll find out more about it upon release. :)
