A/N: In this chapter, we'll learn the answer to the big question of this chapter, how did Iduna and Aggnar survive? And those of us who read this will find out. Enjoy. :)
Disney's Frozen II: Rise of the Guardians
Chapter 6: Secrets Revealed
Later, Olaf and the others were back at a sort of campsite with pitched tents.
"Hey, let me ask you. How do you guys cope with the ever increasing complexity of thought that comes with maturity?", Olaf asked before a young girl took her nose, stuck it up her nostril, and laughed giddily.
"Brilliant! It's so refreshing to talk to the youth of today. Our future is in bright hands—", Olaf spoke as a young boy shoved Olaf's arm through his head, not that it hurt much for him before they then took his feet and licked and/or chewed them.
"Oh no, no, no. Don't chew that, you don't know what I've stepped in.", Olaf grinned.
Meanwhile, Anna was speaking with Mattias.
"Hey, back at home, Halimah's still over on Hudson's Hearth?", Mattias asked.
"She is.", the fire princess responded.
"Really? Is she married?", Mattias asked before Anna shook her head and took a sip of her drink.
"Oh, wow. Why didn't that make me feel better?", Mattias puzzled.
"What else do you miss?", Anna asked.
"My father. He passed long before all this. He was a great man, Built us a good life in Arendelle, but taught me to never take the good for granted. He'd say, 'Be prepared! Just when you think you found your way, life will throw you onto a new path'.", Mattias responded.
"What do you do when it does?", Anna asked.
"Don't give up. Take it one step at a time and...", Mattias responded.
"Just do the next right thing.", Anna realized.
"Yeah, you got it.", Mattias responded before Anna chuckled before looking over to Agnarr and Iduna, who are joining Elsa and Honeymaren by the fireplace.
"Well, nice talking with you.", Anna grinned before then heading over to join the others.
"Hey, guys.", Anna grinned.
"Anna. I didn't think you'd be joining us.", Iduna grinned in surprise.
"That's great, because I wanna show you something. May I?", Honeymaren asked, gesturing to Iduna's scarf, before lifting up a corner of it, which had a snowflake on it with 4 different directions.
"You know, air, fire, water and earth.", Honeymaren spoke.
"Yes.", Elsa responded.
"But look, there is a fifth spirit. It's said to be a bridge between us and the magic of nature.", Honeymaren responded, gesturing to the center of the snowflake.
"A fifth spirit?", Anna puzzled before Honeymaren nodded.
"Some say, they heard it call out the day the forest fell.", Honeymaren added.
I heard the voice before. Do you think that's who's calling our daughters?", Agnarr asked.
"Maybe. Alas, only Ahtohallan knows.", Honeymaren responded.
"Ahtohallan...", Anna spoke.
"Dive deep into her sound", Anna sang before she, Elsa, and Honeymaren sang together.
"But not too far or you'll be drowned", the trio sang.
"Why do lullabies always have to have some terrible warning in them?", Honeymaren asked.
"I wonder that all the time.", Elsa responded.
"You think you're the only one?", Anna asked jokingly before turning to her parents.
"So, Mom, Dad, how have you two lived here for this long?", Anna asked.
"Well, you see…", Iduna began before the ground suddenly shook.
"Earth giants.", Honeymaren guessed before another quake occurred.
"What are they doing down here?", Yelena puzzled before, in no time at all, the Northuldra put out fires and closed the doors while Lt. Mattias shushed the other kids.
Alexander, Cathrine, Emily, and Carter, however, were puzzled.
"Hide.", Honeymaren urged.
"Okay.", Cathrine nodded before she, with Aksel in tow, and Alexander hid with Anna while Carter and Emily hid with Elsa behind the tree.
When Olaf and Smolder hid, though, they noticed the fire spirit on a rock, which squeaked before Olaf tried to shush him only for him to light up in purple flames, worrying him.
"They're coming…!", Smolder whispered before Olaf tried to put the fire out, but instead, only made it bigger and tried to put it out himself with his stick arms, only to find even more difficulty, especially when they started burning up until the fire spirit then leapt on top of Olaf's head, putting out the fire on both Olaf's arms and on his own gecko body, relieving him.
"This is why we don't play with fire. Ah, I can't stay mad at you, you're so cute!", Olaf spoke to Burni.
Then, the Earth Giant came by, walking forwards as Elsa, Emily, and Carter watched before the giant then turned around, prompting them to hide out of sight for a moment before the Earth Giant turned back and continued before Elsa, Emily, and Carter went out of hiding, as did Anna, Cathrine, and Alexander, who caught up to Elsa, Emily, and Carter before Elric caught up.
"Please tell me you are not going to follow them?", Elric asked in worry.
"What if we can settle them like Cathrine did with the wind and Emily with the fire?", Elsa asked.
"Or what if they can crush you before you even get the chance? Remember, the goal is to find the voice, find the truth, and get us home, our parents and grandfather included.", Elric responded before Olaf and Smolder arrived.
"Hey guys, that was close!", Smolder spoke as Burni jumped off Olaf and then into Emily's palm.
"I know. The Giant sensed me. They may come back here, I don't want to put everyone at risk again. And you're right, Elric, we've got to find the voice. We're going now.", Elsa spoke.
"Good. Let me just... Wait, where did Kristoff and Sven go?", Elric asked.
"Oh, yeah, I think they took off with that Ryder guy and a bunch of reindeer.", Olaf responded.
"They left? Just left without saying anything?", Anna puzzled.
"Who knows the ways of men?", Olaf responded while walking up toward Elsa and the others with Anna catching up when Iduna and Agnarr come with as did Cathrine, Alexander, Emily, and Carter.
"So, how did you survive? We thought you died.", Anna puzzled.
"Yeah, what did happen?", Cathrine puzzled.
"Well, you see, it was a long time ago.", Iduna responded before it then showed the flashback of the storm 6 years prior as back then, a horse-like water spirit was present and watching as the ship was under attack by the violent water storm.
"Ahtohollan has to be the source of her magic.", Iduna spoke in the flashback.
"We keep going. For Elsa…", Agnarr spoke before the water spirit, having pricked his ears up and overheard her name, then ventured across the ocean toward the ship and morphed into a big wave, which then headed right toward Iduna and Agnarr!
"Waves are too high!", Iduna shouted.
"IDUNA!", Agnarr shouted.
"AGNARR", Iduna shouted before the wave took them out of the ship as it drowned.
"I honestly thought we would meet our end on water. But it turns out, we were very lucky. There was something looking out for us: a horse made of water.", Agnarr responded as the king and queen then emerge from the water and saw, much to their surprise, a horse-like water spirit, who then lowered its head toward the king and queen majestically and snorted gently before raising its head, turning around, and running, taking Agnarr and Iduna with it as the wave then lifted the two up and set them on its back as it rode off on the water.
"After that, it brought us all the way here. To the enchanted forest.", Iduna added as the flashback ended and then went back to the present.
"So, you two met the water spirit?", Carter asked.
"Indeed. If we hadn't met it, we wouldn't be standing here right now.", Agnarr responded as Cathrine gave a slight gasp in awe.
Meanwhile, the next morning, Kristoff was with Ryder, getting ready to head back to the Northuldra camp, when Yelena arrived.
"Oh, Hi, Yelena. Where're Anna and the kids?", Kristoff asked.
"The princess left with the queen. I wouldn't try to follow, they're long gone.", Yelena responded.
"Long gone?", Kristoff puzzled.
"So, yeah. Um, we're heading west, to the Lycan Meadows, you can come with us if you want.", Yelena offered.
"Sure. The least I can do is help you move your village.", Kristoff responded before then coming with Yelena with Ryder coming along.
"Well, that should speed things up.", Ryder spoke before then speaking for a few more reindeer.
"Ditto.", one of the reindeer "spoke".
"How would that speed things up?", another reindeer "added".
"I love teamwork.", another "commented".
"Wait, you talk for them too?", Kristoff asked in surprise.
"I do.", Ryder responded.
"It's like you can actually hear what they're thinking.", Kristoff spoke.
"Yeah and then, you.. you just say it!", Ryder responded.
"And then you just say it…", Kristoff grinned in awe as he, Ryder, and Yelena continued onward back to the camp to help out.
A/N: And there you have it. The story of how this time, Agnarr and Iduna survived. Pretty cool, huh? It looks like some developments are kicking in right now. Also, I cut out "Lost in the Woods", because it apparently didn't quite fit in well with the movie.
