"Did that Treecko just talk?" Izuku asked.
"Midoriya is that really a priority here!?" Ochaco asked, panicking slightly.
"What are we supposed to get intimidated by the goon squad?" Bakugo scoffed.
"Hey! That's Team Rocket to you!" Himiko stuck her tongue out at Bakugo, before looking at Izuku, her eyes lingering for a moment, before giving him a look that made him uncomfortable. "But you...I can think of a lot of things you can call me."
Izuku shuttered, and Ochaco stood protectively in front of him.
"Ohhhh, another cutie." Himiko licked her lips. "Jin, I think we may have to steal a bit more than just pokemon."
"Huh? Well, we normally don't steal people but we are the bad guys so why not?" Jin said, before suddenly saying the opposite. "Don't do that, it's gross!"
"What freaks." Bakugo spat in disgust.
"Hey! That's offensive!" Jin shouted. "Actually your kind of spot on!"
"We may be freaks, but we're a couple of freaks with healthy pokemon, and you two just exhausted yours." Himiko pointed out.
"Grrrr! What fucking cowards! Let me heal my pokemon, then try and rob me you bastards!" Bakugou shouted.
"Well, that wouldn't be very effective thievery!" Jin pointed out. "No he's right we're losers!"
"So, pretty girl," Himiko said, talking directly to Ochaco. "You gonna fight? Or do you wanna give up your pokemon...and your bodies?"
"No way you creep!" Ochaco picked up her Pokeball and got ready to fight.
"Well then, the hard way it is," Himiko smirked as she picked up a Pokeball of her own.
However before anyone could throw out a Pokeball, a voice suddenly called out to them.
"Not so fast criminal scum!"
Ochaco's eyes widened. "That voice-"
All of them looked to the right and saw Iida Tenya running up to them, approaching them rather quickly.
When he reached them he stopped in his tracks, getting in between the two trios, before turning to Team Rocket. "You three! You must be Team Rocket! I've heard reports of you criminals striking in the desert at night! And as a replacement gym leader! I am here to put an end to your evil!"
"Huh? That piss easy gym leader!?" Bakugo shouted.
"Iida!" Ochaco breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you're here! These two just finished having a battle, and all their pokemon are exhausted! Can you help me fight off these crooks!?"
"Of course!" Iida took out a Pokeball. "If anything I'm happy you're here to assist me!"
"Well, then two on two!" Himiko said. "Let's get this battle started! Come out Pawniard!"
"Let's go out Doduo!" Jin shouted as he threw out his own pokemon.
"Pawn!" Pawniard stabbed the air, ready for some action.
"Do! Do!" Doduo's heads said at the same time.
"Come out Togepi!" Ochaco sent out her partner pokemon.
"Honedge, please assist us!" Iida said as he sent out his first pokemon.
"Now Honedge use autotomize!" Iida shouted.
"Oh, are we setting up, Swords Dance!" Toga ordered.
Honedge's tip dropped into the ground, and grinded against the sand, while Pawniard sharpened its blades against each other.
"Ancient power! On the Doduo!" Ochaco ordered.
"Pi!" Togepi shot off the purple glowing rocks at the flying type pokemon.
"Use quick attack to dodge it!" Jin ordered.
"Duo!" Doduo became enveloped in white light, before running towards the rocks, skillfully running in between them, dodging Togepi's attack.
"Honedge use Autotomize once more!" Iida ordered.
"Oh no, you don't! night slash!" Toga ordered.
"Pawn!" Pawniard ran forward, as their blade hands glowed black, as they ran towards Honedge who was grinding themselves against the sand.
"Togepi stop them with ancient power!" Ochaco ordered.
"Pi!" Togepi shot out rocks at Pawniard.
"Cut 'em in half!" Toga ordered.
Pawniard jumped up towards the rocks, and sliced them all with night slash, causing them to explode.
While this did fail to stop Pawniard, it did slow them down long enough for Honedge to finish its move.
"Quick attack that Togepi!" Jin ordered.
"I will not allow it! Honedge use night slash and protect Togepi!" Iida ordered.
Doduo charged towards Togepi at high speed, but before they could run into Togepi, Honedge flew in with its own enhanced speed, its blade glowing black, and it slashed Doduo away.
"Now use fury cutter on Pawniard!" Iida said.
"Edge!" Honedge's blade turned green, as it moved towards Pawniard at lightning-fast speed, and slashed it, again, and again, and again, each attack getting stronger than the last.
"Doduo help her out! Drill Peck!" Jin ordered.
"Don't let them get close! Ancient Power!" Ochaco ordered.
"Do!" Dodou's beak glowed blue, as they lunged at Honedge.
However, on the side, Togepi used ancient power, throwing rocks at Doduo.
Doduo was hit by the attack, knocking it away so Honedge could keep attacking.
"Use night slash to protect yourself!" Himiko ordered.
"Pawn!" Pawniard, despite the rapid attacks of growing power, managed to initiate the attack, and its bladed hand clashed with Honedge's blade body.
But fury cutter had already grown too strong at this point, and Honedge overpowered Pawniard and delivered one final blow to Pawniard, knocking it away, and into unconsciousness.
"Now use, Night Slash on the Doduo!" Iida ordered.
"Honnnnnnnnnedge!" Honedge, using their great speed, dashed at Dodou, and slashed at them with their black glowing blade.
"Do!" Doduo skidded back.
"Once more!" Iida ordered.
"Drill Peck!" Jin shouted.
Doduo's beak glowed and they tried to use the attack, but Honedge was already on top of them before they could attack.
Honedge slashed Doduo, and the two-headed bird fell unconscious.
"Ha! Alright two down!" Ochaco cheered.
"Oh no, our pokemon!" Jin shouted as he and Toga returned their fainted pokemon. "Don't get too cocky! Come out Doublade!"
"Doublade!" The twin-bladed pokemon came out and immediately looked at Honedge, giving them a haughty look, as if looking down on their pre-evolution.
Himiko meanwhile, was giving an extremely mischievous smile, as she pulled out her next Pokeball. "Ohhhh. I get to do something special!"
She held her Pokeball up to her mouth for a few seconds, before throwing it. "Come out! Darkrai!"
"DARKRAI!?" Shouted out Izuku, Ochaco, Bakugo and Iida in shock and alarm.
The Pokeball burst open, and indeed came out the legendary pokemon, Darkrai.
"Ok! Does everyone and their fucking mothers get legendary pokemon now!" Bakugo shouted, meanwhile Ochaco and Iida were sweating bullets.
Jin also looked confused for a moment but seemed to quickly get...whatever was going on.
"Darkrai! Shadow ball that Honedge!" Toga ordered.
Darkrai brought its hands together, and charged up a pitch-black ball, before launching it at Honedge.
Iida was too stunned and afraid to give an order, so Honedge just took the super effective attack head-on.
"Edge!" Honedge cried in pain, as it took a good bit of damage.
But notably, despite taking a super-effective attack from a Darkrai...didn't faint.
"Alright, something's fucking off here!" Bakugo said. "I fought that fucking Honedge, and there is no way it could take a shadow ball from a fucking Darkrai!"
"Yeah, and come to think of it, if she had a Darkrai, why didn't she lead with it?" Izuku asked. "And why Shadow ball and not dark void!? Unless-"
"Use Shadow ball again!" Himiko ordered, seeing where Izuku and Bakugo's little speculation session was going.
"That's not a fucking Darkrai it's a Zoura or Zoroark!" Bakugo shouted. "She told it to use that illusion when it was in the Pokeball! Round face, glasses! Get it together!"
"Ah! I should have known!" Iida chided himself. "Honedge dodge that attack!"
"I don't think so, Mr. Gym leader! Shadow Sneak the Honedge into the attack Doublade!" Jin shouted.
The fake Darkrai threw out a shadow ball at Honedge, and as Honedge moved away to dodge it, Doublade sunk into their shadow, and then instantly popped out of Honedge's shadow, and slashed them, knocking them into the shadow ball.
BOOM!
The attack hit Honedge and exploded.
When the sand and dust subsided from the explosion, everyone could see Honedge laying on the ground, knocked out.
"Curses!" Iida said as he returned Honedge to his Pokeball, before taking out a new one. "Come out Scizor!"
"Zor!" Scizor came out, claws sharp and ready to mess something up.
"Bullet Punch that fake Darkrai!" Iida ordered.
Scizor's claws glowed a steely grey, and they charged at the fake Darkrai with amazing speed, and let loose a barrage of punches at them...
"Zo!" The fake Darkrai glowed, and the illusion broke apart into sparking particles, revealing that it was in fact a Zorua.
"They were right, it was a Zorua!" Ochaco glared at Himiko. "What a dirty trick."
Himiko grinned at her and shrugged.
"Slash that Scizor!" Jin ordered.
"Dou!" Doublade's swords glowed white as it got ready to attack.
"Don't let it get close! Use ancient power!" Ochaco ordered.
"Man you really like spamming that move!" Jin pointed out.
"Shut up!" Ochaco blushed with embarrassment, at having to use the same move over and over again.
As Doublade was charging towards Scizor, it was pelted by ancient power, halting its attack. But not doing much damage.
And not giving Togepi the boost.
"Oh come on! Give me those darn stat boosts already!" Ochaco pouted. Out of all the times for her luck to run out, THIS was not one of them.
"Scizor! Double team!" Iida ordered.
"Zor! Zor! Zor! Zor! Zor!" An army of Scizors surrounded Doublade and Zorua.
"Now use agility!" Iida followed up.
"Sci! Sci! Sci!" The Scizor's all started running around the two enemy pokemon, glowing blue as their speed increased twofold.
"Alrighty! Then Doublade use substitute! And then follow it up with Solar Blade!" Jin ordered.
"Dou!" Suddenly Doublade glowed, and then made a copy of itself, and then those two Doublade's started glowing green as they charged up energy.
"Togepi use Ancient Power!" Ochaco ordered!
"Scizor metal claw! Stop them immediately!" Iida shouted.
"Nope! Foul Play on Togepi!" Himiko ordered.
As Togepi summoned the rocks, Zorua dashed towards them covered in dark energy, and tackled them, causing the rocks to dissipate as the attack was interrupted.
"Pi!" Togepi cried out in pain, it wasn't a very effective attack, but it still hurt quite a bit.
All the Scizor's meanwhile, charged in and one of them swiped at a Doublade.
But the Doublade that was hit burst into smoke, meaning that it was the substitute.
"BLADE!" Doblade's twin blades extended out to a huge length, turning into huge green pillars.
"Duck!" Ochaco and Himiko ordered.
Zorua ducked, and Togepi retreated into their eggshell, as Doublade spun around, swinging its blades around the battlefield.
The blades destroyed all the clones they bumped into and smacked Scizor.
"Zor!" Scizor skidded back, it was four times resisted, but it was a powerful attack.
"Ancient power! On Doublade!" Ochaco ordered.
"Foul play!" Himiko commanded.
"Not again! Bullet punch! Defend Togepi!" Iida said.
Togepi summoned the rocks, but Zorua was ready to ram into them once again, but Scizor swooped in at blinding speed, and gave it another flurry of punches, knocking them away.
"Pi!" Togepi shot out its rocks at Doublade, who was recovering from their last attack.
The attack hit, not much-doing damage, but this time, Togepi glowed blue when it hit, signifying that they got the power boost.
"Alright! Finally!" Ochaco cheered.
"Uh oh! I know what a baton pass setup looks like! Duoblade use shadow sneak!" Jin ordered.
"Protect Togepi which bullet punch!" Iida ordered.
Duoblade sunk into their shadow and popped out of Togepi's ready to strike, but Scizor charged in and bullet punched them away.
"Baton pass! Let's see what Bagon can do!" Ochaco ordered.
Togepi glowed bright blue, and returned to their Pokeball, as Bagon came out of theirs.
"Gon!" Bagon stomped the ground, getting ready to fight.
"Alright um...I never checked their moves, give me a second!" Ochaco blushed heavily with embarrassment, as she took out her Pokedex and scanned Bagon.
"Are you really fucking doing this right now!?" Bakugo shouted
"I'm sorry! I didn't predict that I would be getting mugged today!" Ochaco shouted back, as she looked at her Pokedex listing what moves Bagon currently had. "Alright, so we have, bite, ember, and headbutt. Ok! Let's start by using Ember on the Doublade!"
"Bag! Gon!" Bagon opened their mouth and shot out a fireball at Doublade.
"Shadow sneak!" Jin ordered.
Duoblade sunk into its shadow, dodging the ember, before appearing behind Bagon, and striking them.
"Bagon!" Bagon cried as they were batted away.
"Foul Play!" Himiko shouted.
"Zour!" Zorua charged at Bagon, cloaked in dark energy.
"X-Scissor!" Iida ordered.
"Zor!" Scizor ran at Zorua with immense speed, its claws glowed green, as it slashed Zorua in an X formation.
"Rua!" Zorua cried out in pain as it was struck with the powerful super effective move, being knocked away a good distance.
Seeing as Zorua was quite injured, Iida decided now was the time to go for the K.O. "Bullet punch!"
Scizor's claws turned steely grey, as charged at Zorua at blinding speed, unleashing another flurry of punches.
"Ra!" Zorua cried as the blows landed, and the pokemon was knocked unconscious.
"Oh! No! Doublade! Avenge them with shadow sneak!" Jin shouted.
"Don't let them hurt Scizor! Bite them!" Ochaco ordered.
Duoblade once again sunk into their shadow and came out of Siczor's ready to strike, but Bagon jumped onto them just in time and bit down on them with dark glowing fangs.
"Blade!" Doublade cried out in pain, as they tried to shake off Bagon.
Meanwhile, Himiko returned Zorua and sent out her next pokemon. "Come out Ditto!"
"Ditto!" Ditto cried out happily, as they came out of the Pokeball.
Ditto turned to Sicozr, and a second later, their body started changing and shifting, until they turned into a copy of Scizor, stat boost included.
"Bullet Punch that Bagon off Doublade!" Himiko ordered.
"Sci!" Ditto's claws glowed a steely grey, and with the same speed as the original, as it struck Bagon multiple times, knocking them off of Doublade.
"Bullet Punch that Ditto!" Iida ordered.
Scizor came in, and did the exact same attack to their copy, causing them to slide back a few feet.
"Doublade use Slash on that Scizor!" Jin ordered.
"X-Scissor!" Iida ordered.
Doublade's blades turned white, and Scizor's claws turned green, and the two attacks collided and the two pokemon struggled against each other, trying to overpower the other.
"Bagon, give Scizor some help! Use Ember!" Ochaco ordered.
"Baaaaaagon!" Bagon shot out a ball of fire at Doublade that hit them in the back, causing them to cry out in pain, and their attack to weaken.
Siczor pushed forward, finally overpowering Doublade, and hitting them with X-Scissor.
Ochaco saw Doublade was almost down and decided to take a shot. "Bagon finish them with Ember!"
"Ba!" Bagon got ready to shot out another ember.
"Bullet punch!" Himiko shouted.
"Bullet punch!" Iida ordered.
Ditto tried to attack Bagon, but Scizor interfered, knocking the copy away.
"Gon!" Bagon shot out an Ember attack at Doublade, exploding on contact, doing super effective damage.
When the smoke cloud subsided, Doublade was on the ground, knocked out.
"Oh crap! I'm out of pokemon!" Jin shouted out, his expression almost cartoonishly mortified.
"Don't worry! I've got this!" Himiko shouted. "Bullet punch!"
"Counter it with your own bullet punch!" Iida ordered.
"Scizor!" The Scizor and the Ditto both cried, as they both charged towards each other, and leashed a flurry of punches at each other, their fist bouncing off each other as Ditto mirror all of Siczor's moves perfectly.
"Bagon! Ember!" Ochaco ordered.
"Dodge it!" Himiko shouted.
"Bagon!" Bagon shot a ball of fire at Scizor, who easily dodged it by jumping back.
"Keep using Ember!" Ochaco ordered.
"Dodge it with agility!" Himiko ordered.
"Gon! Gon! Gon!" Bagon kept shooting out fireballs, but Scizor dodged them all with great speed as it glowed with a blue aura, and its speed maxed out.
"Hmmm." Iida thought for a moment, before coming up with an idea. "Scizor! Use agility and grab Bagon! Then chase after Ditto!"
"Zor!" Scizor glowed blue, before moving with great speed, and grabbing Bagon in their claws, before holding up like a weapon.
"Ohhhh! Great idea Iida!" Ochaco praised her battle partner.
"Gon! Gon! Gon!" Bagon kept shooting out Embers, this time getting much closer as Scizor helped them keep up with Ditto.
Ditto was still able to dodge a few of them, but one of the fireballs hit it in the back, causing them to trip.
"Ba! Gon!" Bagon breathed out one final ember attack, hitting the downed Ditto, and causing a small explosion.
When the smoke died down, Ditto was back in their normal form, and completely unconscious.
"Alright!" Ochaco cheered. "We did it!"
"Hmm! Of course, we did!" Iida said, pushing up his glasses. "Goodwill always prevails against evil!"
"Not so fast!" Said a voice from behind the two.
Everyone looked back at Izuku and Bakugo and saw that the talking Treecko had jumped onto Izuku, and was holding its claws to his throat.
"I'm not particularly strong! But I'm strong enough to do this!" The Treecko said.
"Oh shit, I forgot about you somehow!" Bakugo said. "Oi! I'm getting really tired of your tricks!"
"Sorry! But I can't let my friends go home empty-handed!" The Treecko said. "Now give us all your pokemon!"
"Aw Spinner couldn't you have taken the blonde!? That one is the cute one!" Himiko pouted.
"Ok, Himiko, priorities!" The Treecko, apparently named Spinner, said. "And no one has to die so long as you give up all your-"
"Pikachu use quick attack!" Said a familiar voice coming from the right.
"Huh-Ack!" Spinner shouted as he was suddenly tackled by a Pikachu!
Treecko went flying all the way over to Jin and Himiko, as Kaminari and Jiro came in.
"Now Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Kaminari ordered.
"Pika!" Pikachu charged up the attack. "CHU!"
Pikachu shot out a bolt of lightning at the three, which hit all three of them, zapping them before causing an explosion.
BOOM!
Then all three of them flew away, propelled by the force of the explosion.
"Ahhhhh! Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Jin and Himiko shouted before being sent over the horizon, and out of sight.
"Alright! The bad guys have been dealt with!" Kaminari said proudly, giving his Pikachu a high-five.
"Yeah! And you just blasted them ten miles away!" Jiro pointed out. "How are we supposed to arrest them now!?"
"...Oh," Kaminari said, realizing his mistake.
"Jiro! Kaminari!" Izuku shouted, happy to see them again. "What are you doing here!?"
Jiro turned to him and explained. "Well after the Gym Leader here took us down, he said he was going to search the dessert because of some reports about criminals stealing pokemon. We decided to come with, after getting our pokemon healed, in case he needed back up."
"Thank you both!" Iida said, giving a grateful bow to the two. "You both helped us all greatly! Even if you did send the criminals out of our reach."
"Heh heh. Sorry." Kaminari apologized while rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"No, it's fine!" Izuku bowed as well. "You saved us and our pokemon! Thank you so much!"
"Tch! Your stupid ass shouldn't have let that freak sneak up on you in the first place Deku!" Bakugo shouted.
"S-Sorry! It's just it was such a cool battle that I got lost, and couldn't pay attention to anything else!" Izuku explained. "I'm sorry everyone!"
"There is nothing to be ashamed of! A good pokemon battle can be absolutely mesmerizing! The fault lies on Team Rocket for using such dirty tactics!" Iida said.
"Alright! If we're done with this stupid bullshit! I'm going to the fucking Pokemon Center!" Bakugo said as he marched off.
"Man, what is his problem?" Jiro asked.
"Well, he did almost get mugged." Kaminari shrugged.
"Heh, I doubt almost getting robbed was the worst part of his day." Izuku chuckled nervously. "But, I think we probably should get back to a Pokemon Center, and heal our pokemon."
"Right!" Iida said. "Although, I would like to thank you all for your contribution! As such I would like to invite everyone here to lunch tomorrow! On me!"
"Well as great as that sounds, me and this dunce are gonna be doing a lot of training tomorrow," Jiro said. "So we're out."
"Fair enough! I cannot argue with dedicated trainers taking it upon themselves to improve their and their pokemon's abilities!" Iida said, before turning to Izuku and Ochaco. "And what of you two?"
"Oh, well I didn't really do anything." Izuku looked at the ground, his face red with embarrassment.
"True, but that wasn't your fault! Team Rocket attacked you while your pokemon were weakened! A cowardly tactic that you couldn't have seen coming!" Iida pointed out. "And you are Uraraka's traveling companion, yes? Well then it's only right you should also be invited, seeing as I couldn't have defeated them both without her help."
"Aww shucks!" Ochaco blushed at the compliment, before turning to Izuku. "Midoriya, I think we should go! It sounds like fun! And it's a free meal!"
"Well...if you want me to, I guess I'll go with you." Izuku accepted tentatively.
"Very well then! Let us head to the pokemon center, and we can discuss lunch plans on the way!" Iida said.
Alright! So that was Twice, Toga, and Spinner!
As you can see, Twice's theme was pokemon that are...multiple...it's hard to explain. You know Doduo has two heads, Doublade is two swords, you get what I mean.
Toga is a character whose team isn't based on a single theme, rather just based on her as a character. Pawniard for her love of knives and Zorua and Ditto are based on her quirk.
Anyway, I wanted to talk about one last thing before I wrapped this up.
Bakugo's and Izuku's rivalry dynamic.
In MHA, we see Bakugo on top, and Izuku on the bottom of the social and power hierarchy, with Izuku rising to meet it, as the two constantly struggle to match each other.
However, there are a lot of differences between Pokemon and MHA.
Firstly...Bakugo has no actual advantages here, nor does Izuku have any actual disadvantages.
There are no quirks so Bakugo and Izuku are just...both normal humans. And they have around the same intelligence.
Have you noticed that Izuku is a bit less...skittish and nervous in this fic? That's because he doesn't have to deal with being quirkless and his dreams being impossible. The only reason he was bullied was because he had unpopular opinions.
Bakugo has a reason for being as cocky in this fic as he is, but I'll go into that later.
But the dynamic between Izuku and Bakugo's rivalry, as well as where it goes, is going to be different here because the world is so different.
