A/N: Now, this is where Anna, Elsa, and the others notice a sunken ship in a sort of withered forest. Looks pretty foreboding, doesn't it? And fair warning, one of them is going to blow up with anger, even more so than Anna did in the original.

Chapter 7: The Dark Sea

Meanwhile, Anna, Elsa, Elric, Lizzie, Cathrine, Alexander, Emily, and Carter were walking across the road ahead with Aksel, Olaf, Smolder, Iduna, and Agnarr, especially Burni in tow when Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and even Smolder started signing to try and locate the voice (although Olaf and Smolder just wanted to join in for fun).

"Hey Olaf, no offense, but maybe just one of you should do it.", Lizzie suggested.

"I agree, she's a little pitchy.", Olaf agreed.

"I don't think it was you she's talking about.", Elric whispered, making Iduna and Agnarr giggle a bit.

"What's so funny?", Elric puzzled just before the wind spirit arrived.

"Hey, Gale's back.", Cathrine grinned before Gale then blew past Elsa before then heading toward a familiar flag, puzzling Elsa.

"What…?", Elsa puzzled before she and Anna ran up the hill and saw, much to their surprise, the sunken ship that Agnarr and Iduna had been on before.

"How can it be?", Anna puzzled.

"What is it?", Olaf asked.

"That's the ship we came on…", Iduna realized.

"But this isn't the southern sea.", Smolder spoke.

"No, it isn't.", Elsa responded before Elric then went in first.

"Girls, stay behind us.", Lizzie spoke.

"Okay.", Cathrine responded before she and the others followed her inside the sunk ship, looking around.

"Why is your ship there?", Elric asked.

"It must have been washed in from the dark sea while we were looking for Ahtohollan.", Agnarr responded.

"What would it be doing in the dark sea?", Alexander puzzled.

"There should be a map somewhere. It'll be easier to explain that way.", Agnarr responded.

"How did the ship get through the mist? I thought nobody could but us, unless... Nobody was on it.", Smolder spoke as Aksel squeaked, looking around.

"We were on it, all right. But we didn't expect to see the ship here. The point is, every Arendellian ship has a compartment, waterproof.", Agnarr added as she and Iduna looked around.

"That's very clever. Although, that makes me wonder why they don't just make the whole ship waterproof.", Olaf commented.

"Yeah. Why don't they?", Cathrine puzzled.

"We just couldn't find the right time to do that.", Agnarr responded just before his wife found said secret compartment.

"Here! 'The end of the ice age, the river found but lost Magic's source'. Anna's source.", Iduna read.

"We had planned to cross the dark sea to Ahtohallan.", Agnarr explained.

"It's real?", Emily asked.

"Ahtoha- what?", Olaf asked.

"Ahtohallan. It's a magical river said to hold all the answers about the past.", Iduna responded.

"Really?", Carter asked in awe.

"Reinforcing my water has memory theory.", Olaf spoke before Anna then ran off out of slight guilt, worrying Elric.

"Hey! Anna! Where are you going?", Elric asked as he, Elsa, Lizzie, Iduna, and Agnarr caught up as did the children and companions.

"This is all my fault. You were looking for answers about me.", Anna spoke.

"You are not responsible for their choices, Anna.", Elsa assured.

"No, just their stranding here.", Anna responded.

"Stop. None of that was your fault, Anna.", Agnarr assured.

"We're both still here. That's all that matters.", Iduna added in assurance.

"They're right, Mommy. Besides, Yelana asked why the spirits would reward Arendelle with magical sisters. Because Grandma saved our Grandpa. She saved her enemy. Her good deed was rewarded with you. And Aunt Anna. You two are gifts.", Cathrine responded determinedly.

"For what?", Anna puzzled in awe.

"If anyone can resolve the past, if anyone can save Arendelle and free this forest, it's you two.", Carter responded.

"We believe in you and your sister, Elsa. More than anyone or anything.", Elric added.

"Honeymaren said there was a fifth spirit; A bridge between magical nature and us.", Anna added.

"A fifth spirit?", Lizzie puzzled.

"Is that what's been calling us from Ahtohallan, Mommy?", Cathrine asked before Anna nodded, making her widen her eyes in surprise.

"You know what that means. The answers about the past are all there. So we're all going to Ahtohallan.", Elric responded.

"Not we. Anna and me. The dark sea is too dangerous for us both.", Elsa responded.

"No, we do this together. Remember the song, go too far and you'll be drowned. Who will stop you from going too far?", Lizzie asked in worry.

"You said you believed in me; that this is what Elsa and I were born to do.", Anna responded.

"That's true. I did say that. And as much as I don't want to stop you from that, much less being whatever you need to be, I also don't want you dying, trying to be everything for everyone else too.", Elric responded.

"Don't do this alone. Let us help you and Anna, please. We can't lose you, Elsa.", Lizzie responded before Anna hugged Lizzie tightly while Elric did the same for Elsa.

"We can't lose you either, guys.", Anna responded before turning to Smolder as Elsa turned to Olaf.

"Come on.", Elsa spoke before Olaf and Smolder joined in as well.

But after the hug, Elric, couldn't help but notice an ice boat forming beneath him.

"Wait, what? What's going on here?", Elric puzzled before Anna then turned to Iduna and Agnarr.

"Can you keep an eye on them for us? Until we come back?", Anna asked.

"Yes.", Agnarr responded.

"Are you sure you two want to do this?", Iduna asked.

"We'll be fine, Mom.", Anna assured.

"No. No, no, no, no, no. Whatever you're going to do, you better not!", Elric spoke as he and Lizzie realized where this was headed while Iduna and Agnarr stepped aboard.

"I'm sorry, Elric!", Anna shouted before pushing the boat down the hill.

"Elsa! Anna!", Elric shouted as Elsa and Anna sadly looked on.

Meanwhile, the ice boat slid down all the way

"No, no, no, no, no! Olaf, Smolder, help me stop this boat! Give me a hand! Something!", Elric shouted before Olaf then lent his hand to Elric, literally speaking, before grabbing it.

"Everyone, hang on!", Elric urged before then using it to try and stop it as he held it up high, hoping the branch would stop it, only for it to instead veer it off-course straight toward the rocks.

"Oh, no.", Elric spoke before the boat then landed on the water.

"Aw, come on!", Elric exclaimed before then tried to stop the boat.

"Elric, this is might sounds crazy, but I'm sensing some rising anger.", Olaf responded.

Unfortunately, that was the last straw before finally, Elric blew up.

"GAAAAAAAH! I AM angry, Olaf! Very angry, okay?! She promised me we do this together, and then, she went and stabbed us in the back by pushing us all away into the river without even saying goodbye!", Elric shouted in response as the children grew worried before panting.

"But I'm sure they meant well.", Lizzie assured.

"WHO CARES?!", Elric shouted in response, making Lizzie gasp in shock, making Elric calm down, although in shock himself as he realized his mistake.

"Whoa, man.", Smolder commented.

"Calm yourself, Elric! This is no way for a king to act.", Agnarr urged.

"Oh. Sorry, Father. That was a low blow, wasn't it?", Elric asked.

"I understand that things may be harrowing, but she asked us to look after you and the others until they return.", Iduna explained.

"Yes, I know. It's just that…, after what happened at Arendelle the last time with Hans…", Elric began.

"Hans? Who's Hans?", Iduna asked.

"It's a long story. I'll explain that one later. Anyway, after all that…, I couldn't let us be torn apart again. I can't…", Elric responded with a sigh with Aksel squeaking sadly before Emily then started to grin as she spoke up.

"Well..., at least you're not alone.", Emily assured.

"Yeah. You've got us, don't you?", Alexander asked.

"And we'll be with you every step of the way.", Cathrine added as Aksel squeaked again, this time in assurance, making Elric grin fondly.

"Um…, yeah, that's nice and all, but ... what I meant is I'm sensing rising anger in me.", Olaf responded.

"Wait, what? You're angry, too?", Elric asked.

"It really is your first time being mad, isn't it?", Cathrine guessed.

"I-I think so. Elsa pushed me away too and didn't even say goodbye.", Olaf responded.

"We were all there for that. And I don't blame you. Matter of fact, you have every right to be very, very mad at them.", Elric responded.

"And she said some things never change, but since then, everything's done nothing but change.", Olaf responded.

"Yeah, I know. But, if there is at least one ring of truth behind those words, at least he's still here holding your hand.", Lizzie responded.

"It's true. I am.", Elric grinned.

"Yeah, I think that's a good point, Elric.", Olaf began before continuing, not knowing that the others on the other side noticed something critical and widened their eyes.

"I feel better, you're such a good listener.", Olaf continued before Elric then shushed the snowman.

"Look! Over there…!", Elric whispered, pointing to the source of their concern: the Earth Giants.

"Oh. The Giants, they're huge.", Olaf whispered before they noticed that they were headed right for the earth giant's nose before narrowly stopping and then getting blown away and continued on-course only to notice more earth giants in-bound, although sleeping before Elric then saw a dark hole.

"Now what?", Carter whispered.

"Hang on, everyone. We're going in.", Elric urged before then noticing that the dark area leads straight to a waterfall.

"Olaf, Smolder, kids, do us a favor and try not to scream.", Elric whispered before the ship fell down with everyone screaming, but thankfully in a whispering tone before then splashing in the water.

Later after that, everyone got out of the water, sopping wet, and then put themselves back together, literally for Olaf's case.

"Found it.", Lizzie spoke as she picked up a carrot and gave it back to Olaf.

"Thank you. Where are we?", Olaf asked.

"If I had to guess, I'd say in a pit.", Alexander responded.

"And with no way out, no less.", Elric added.

"But with this spooky pitch black way in.", Olaf responded before venturing forward with Smolder and the others following him.

"Wow…", Cathrine whispered.

"That is a very big cave.", Carter commented.

"Come on, it'll be fun. Assuming we don't get stuck here forever and no one ever find us where you starve and I give up,", Smolder spoke.

"Not helping…", Lizzie responded.

"Don't worry, Lizzie. We'll all get out of here. Eventually.", Agnarr assured.

"And on the bright side, Anna and Elsa have gotta be doing a whole lot better than we are.", Olaf responded.

"I hope so.", Iduna responded.

A/N: And now, we have the others going separate ways, in a manner of speaking that is. But who knows what Runeard has planned. But we'll know for sure in the second-to-last chapter along with Anna and Elsa's adventure in Ahtohallan. Good night for now. :)
