Tom and Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers
Chapter 8: Another Brotherly Dispute
Meanwhile, Tom and Robyn set the chest down on the sand.
"There. That should be a good spot.", Robyn spoke before Jerry knocked on the chest with the chest then being opened up to show Jerry inside waving before stretching out his hand with Tom then pulling the same trick he did last time and was about to reach in the chest when Robyn stopped him.
"Tom, stop! You know better than that. We have to secure the treasure for Captain Ron.", Robyn urged just before Captain Ron did arrive as did his men, but so did Barnacle Paul and Purple Parrot Chuck.
"The treasure!", Paul shouted.
"Yar.", Chuck spoke up.
"For the last time, quiet, you!", Paul shouted before waving him away and running toward the treasure chest.
"Oh, you're even more beautiful in person.", Paul spoke before Robyn then cleared her throat, attracting his attention.
"That chest doesn't belong to you.", Robyn spoke before pushing Paul aside.
"Hey!", Paul exclaimed.
"Are ye thinking of claiming the treasure for ye self, first mate? 'Cause if ye are, I'd have to do something real nasty.", Ron warned.
"Real nasty? How much?", Stan puzzled before Ron whispered to his ear, making the red parrot widen his eyes.
"Oh, my goodness, you're not serious.", Stan spoke.
"Oh, yeah.", Ron responded casually before the parrot went over to Robyn.
"Oh, my. Hope you weren't tryin' to steal the treasure for yourself after everything he's done for you.", Stan responded.
"Of course not. We were just securing it for him just before he showed up.", Robyn responded.
"This treasure be mine! I got squatter's rights, I have!", Paul spoke up while sitting on top of the treasure chest only for Captain Ron to lean in closer toward Barnacle Paul with a growl and a glare.
"Now, see here, brother! This treasure be mine! And if Bob were here, he'd agree.", Paul retorted.
"I'm not so sure about that.", Robyn retorted before the sound of a cannonball being shot out from a nearby pirate ship.
"RON!", Bob shouted.
"Blast, I was hoping I wouldn't have to prove that.", Paul spoke.
At that moment, as Tom snuck away, much to Robyn's chagrin as she growled, Blue Pirate Bob and his men arrived on shore of the island and stepped off their boats.
"Back away from that treasure, me scurvy brothers!", Blue Pirate Bob shouted.
"Bob?!", Ron exclaimed.
"Oh, boy. Uh, Stan? You might want to get out of here. Things could get ugly form here.", Robyn warned.
"Ohohoho, man. Well, when you put it that way…", Stan responded before flying away with Bob giving a similar suggestion to Blue Parrot Betty.
"You, uh, may want to leave, too. It's gonna be the roughest fight ever.", Bob advised.
"Oh, heavens. Well, all right, if you insist…", Betty responded before flying away as well.
"Brother Bob, Tell Ron the treasure be mine!", Paul shouted.
But Bob wasn't willing to comply before he charged in with a roaring "Yar!" with Ron doing so as well with both sides charging toward each other for battle, prompting Paul to take his hat off and hold onto it before getting plowed over by Ron and his men with Paul then popping up from the hole.
"Oh, boy… It's just like the old days…", Paul sighed.
Meanwhile, the chest suddenly lifted up a bit and moved away, puzzling Tom and Robyn before they saw Jerry carrying it form below.
"He's got the chest! Come on, Tom!", Robyn shouted before she and Tom ran after Jerry, who was bringing the chest over to the ship across the water while Tom and Robyn tried to get to the boats only to notice that they sank to the water.
"It's okay. I'll go catch up to Jerry. You go see if you can find someway to catapult yourself over there, okay?", Robyn asked before diving into the water and morphing into her mermaid form.
When she did, though, she noticed a whale underneath before going up and noticing on the surface the chest with Jerry on top of it.
"Oh. So, that's how Jerry was doing it.", Robyn spoke before diving back underwater in order to catch up as she swam toward the whale just in time for it to spray the chest up onto the ship with Robyn catching up before landing on top of the chest next to Jerry.
"Hey, Jerry. What's up?", Robyn greeted.
Meanwhile, Tom knew that there indeed had to be a way to get aboard the ship as he noticed Robyn and Jerry waving to the whale.
"Thanks for the help.", Robyn waved before the whale then went back underwater and left just as Tom looked around and then saw a nearby tree he can use to get off the island.
At the same time, though, Spike was thrown off the fight as he landed on the sand before noticing the ship starting to leave as an anchor was raised, worrying the dog before he rushed over and blew a whistle with his fingers, causing the pirates to stop and notice it as well, even Ron, Bob, and Paul.
"Huh? Wh…WHAT?!", Ron puzzled.
"Huh?!", Bob puzzled.
"What the…?!", Paul shouted next before they and the others rushed toward the ship only for it to be too late as Ron noticed Robyn aboard.
"Sorry, Captain Ron! Nothing personal about plundering this treasure behind your back! But if it helps, I'll lend you the remaining treasure once we're all settled on shore! After all, I did learn from the best.", Robyn assured with a shout.
"You did? Heh. That's me first mate.", Ron smirked with pride.
"Can you believe this guy, Bob?", Paul asked.
"Nope. No, I can't.", Bob responded.
Meanwhile, Jerry was looking around via telescope and saw Tom getting ready to launch himself into the ship, not knowing that Spike was nearby, that is, until he grabbed Tom by the neck, urging Tom to let go before being launched with Spike launched along with him with both launched straight toward the mast before Spike then fell down near the chest and got up, prepared to take the chest.
"Hold on just a second.", the mermaid urged before she then looked inside the chest to see if she can find something before discovering a golden bone.
"There. Is that what you're looking for?", Robyn asked before giving the bone to Spike, who grew amazed before pointing to himself in puzzlement.
"Yeah. It's yours.", Robyn assured as she gave the golden bone to him just before Tom managed to get his head off the mast and fall down before landing on top of the bone with Spike growling at him.
"At ease…, Spike, was it? I may have a better plan for him in mind.", Robyn assured.
Later, Tom was mopping and brushing the ground of the ship when Robyn, now back in human form and wearing a captain's hat with Jerry in the same get-up, came down and noticed how spotless it is.
"Yep. It's spotless. Well, Tom, I'd say you've earned yourself a relaxing break in a hammock, Tom.", Robyn assured before Tom sighed and was about to go in when Spike barked.
"Easy, Spike. He's earned this one.", Robyn assured before giving a wink and a grin to Tom, who grinned back and went back inside before heading back inside to rest up before then showing Spike looking toward and saluting to Jerry and Robyn, who caught up with the former as the narrator spoke.
"So, that be the story of how a trio of pirate brothers was thwarted out of their treasure by a cat…, a mouse…, and a girl.", the narrator spoke.
"Now there's a pirate I could work for, huh? The strong silent type.", Betty spoke, referring to Jerry.
"And that girl isn't too bad either. She's just as good as, if not better than, Captain Ron. I might miss him one day, though.", Stan added.
"Yar!", Chuck chuckled in addition.
"But it ain't all bad on the island for us brothers. No, there be plenty of interesting things to keep us busy.", the narrator, apparently Barnacle Paul, added before it showed the giant stone rooster appearing behind them before chasing them around.
Meanwhile, at the pirate ship, Robyn, Tom, Jerry, and Spike were all set for the way back to shore.
"I wonder how Grandpa Diego will do with his Bed-and-Breakfast business. I bet it'll be good. ", Robyn grinned as the ship drifted further into the sunset.
