Author's note: I started writing this story when episode 2 had just aired. I wrote the vast majority of it before the season was even half-way over.
Then i made the mistake of taking a little break and letting the show to play out.
The finale of season 1 made me hate the show, and despite Dana Terrace. As such, i completely lost all motivation to continue writing for the show.
"Why?" you might ask. Well simply put, dana decided to decided to take all the worldbuilding, storytelling, and lore and throw it out the fucking window so her self insert (Amity) could date the MC, which is based on an old roommate. The entire situation is not only creepy, but fucking pathetic.
This story has sat unfinished with only 1 chapter left to go for over a year now. And I decided that I might as well give an explanation for that, and an outline of what was planned for the ending.
Outline for final chapter:
-Emperor releases owl Eda, and makes luz fight it.
-Luz is able to knock her unconscious with a sleep spell
-Emperor reveals Amity at his side, and tells her to kill Luz, as her final test to be his apprentice/heir.
-They fight, Amity is conflicted and isn't using full power
-Luz is able to best her, but Belos knows Amity wasn't giving it her all, so he activates her curse manually, forcing her to turn into her cursed form (a giant raven monster)
-After dealing with amity in a similar style as
Eda, Belos applauds Luz and beacons her to join him in his audience hall.
-Luz hesitantly walks through the deserted castle before finding the place.
-Belos gives his long exposition villain monologue about how he wanted to test her, he wanted to see how strong she really was, kidnapping Eda, making her fight Amity were mere tests.
-He offers the position of apprentice/heir to Luz
-Luz refuses, and goes on the offensive.
-as she tries to cast a spell, she realizes the entire room is filled with glyphs of warding (for those unfamiliar, its a trap that only happens under certain circumstances)
-Luz's spellbook and scrolls burst into flames, becoming unusable.
-feeling invincible, the emperor walks up to luz, grabs her by the throat and offers her one last chance before he intends to simply kill her
-Luz uses her metal-engraved gloves to cast her deconstruction spell, deconstructing the Emperor's arm, causing it to explode
-the glyphs of warding activate again, severely burning her hand, and destroying her glove.
-While the emperor is stunned, she uses her other hand to reconstruct his organs.
-scrambling and fusing them together in a mishmash of gore
-Luz's other hand burns badly.
-with the emperor Dying, he weakly removed his helmet.
-a withered, old human face lay behind.
-The emperor is not related to Luz, but he was a human of the same fate as her, trapped on the island many decades ago.
-He smiles and accepts her as his heir, giving her a small crest with his emblem on it, telling her the Isles are hers now.
-he dies
-time-skip
-Epilogue would quickly wrap up some things.
-Eda's and amity's curses are lifted
-Eda's and Luz's bounties are rescinded.
-amity returns to her family after so many years
-king's demon energy is restored. His full demon form is proportional to his giant arms, so he stands around 12 foot tall and is buff as hell with long, unbroken horns.
-Gus and Laurence get back into contact.
-Luz doesn't want the throne, but knows without a leader the isles will spiral into chaos.
-She begrudgingly takes the position.
-Possibly sending her down a dark, and familiar path.
