Empress of the West: Naruko's Reign
Chapter 13
Empire, Throne Room
Naruko is sitting on her throne as she feels that something is going to happen and she doesn't like it at all, as she's in thoughts.
She hears "Lady Naruko!" Naruko turns to see someone from the Samurai faction, "what is it?" Naruko asks. The Samurai is a man as he kneels and says "I have a report coming from one of the outskirts scouts."
Naruko nods, letting him continue, "there are sightings of an army of the Rouge coming here!" said the Samurai.
Naruko sighs and gets up "I will handle this." Samurai says "but your highness"
"I can't get rusty now can I? Notify everyone to be on the lookout for more," ordered Naruko as she removes her dress that drops, and under it is she is dressed in her battle gear. And The Samurai says "right away!" he heads out.
Naruko is thinking 'mm I should bring something back while I'm out on and about' Naruko walks out of her palace/castle and teleports to where the army is but comes back "I don't know where" she goes and finds the guy and where to go.
Later at the eastern outskirts
At the Eastern Outskirts which are known as Green as where the Empire grew their food, the people of the wall are seeing the army as a child ask their mother "mommy, are we going be ok?"
"Hopefully." says the mother as she holds her child closer as the army which is nothing about a mix of demons, outlaws, and traitors as their march. The framers are wondering if this is their end but then.
"Sorry I'm late," said a voice as everyone turned to see the Empress herself. They cheered and Naruko had her spear of destruction out along with the blade of destruction as each of them said"Empress!" "lady naruko! "Your highness!"
"A-are you going to scare the bad people away empress?" said a kid, Naruko says "I might have to do more. Please everyone leave the area" with one of them "if things get destroyed, we can rebuild, lives can not" as everyone leaves as soon as they can.
Naruko sees the army marching as she toile her spear with her thinking 'this is not going to be fun at all...but something doesn't feel right, but what?' as she narrows her eyes, as she is right this is a distraction due her not noticing any clear leaders or someone taking command. but what they don't know is that her generals are ready for the real attack. 'What fools.' She jumps down and runs toward the army.
At the Empire.
The front gate is being attacked but many of the attackers are dying as the generals are having a field day as it's been forever since they fought.
"Reinforce that door, it might be strong but we need to protect the innocent lives in this empire!" orders Whitebeard
"Keep firing, don't give them any quarter!" orders Dante,d his brother orders "Keep them from getting ladders onto the walls!" as he cuts some rope for a ladder making it fall killing those on it
Another "Deal with those siege towers!" A flying demon comes at Dante but a flash slash appears and Sephiroth is there as he swings a bit and the demon turns into pieces.
Then both armies hear the sound of thunder and they know Naruko is just dealing with the distraction and Dante says "how much you wanna bet that Empress might be a little mad?"
"That is a sucker bet brother," both Dante and Sephiroth turn to see Vergil as he is dealing with more ropes for those ladders, "fair enough brother" with Sephiroth looks around and sees "mm I see familiar faces like is that one of your old friends? What's her name? Trish?"
Dante turns to see Trish with her eyes glazed over "Hey Vergil can you grab her I have an idea of how to free her." Vergil says "I would but you may want to tell him that" he uses his sword to point toward a man named Luffy. And he's charging toward Trish which Dante shouts "Luffy stop!"
Lucky someone grabs both Trish and Luffy and it is Ace and he puts Luffy on the ground "Stay Luffy we can't have you going over the wall!"
Then they hear a BOOM as a siege tower crumbles and turn to see Lady who fired the shot, "Yes got it!" said Lady then she notices Ace holding Luffy down and. "Trish," said Lady as she couldn't her eyes as it had been years now since she last saw her. But there's something off about her.
"Whatever you have in mind brother, best do it now cause," said Vergil as he draws out his sword as there's another siege tower, and is led by someone who was chosen to be a general but turns out to be a double spy, and it's other than a woman with long black hair with crow-like white mark with clothes of black and red, she wearing a Katana with a red blade.
This is Raven Branwen, a once-trusted ally and friend turned traitor, cause she tried to kill Naruko a few days before the final battle, lucky Naruko didn't get hurt, physically wise that is.
No one had seen her since, until today, Vergil says "Cause the traitor is here." with his eyes filled with anger "alright, new bet..whoever gets the bitch, losers will have to buy the winning food for a decade" said Dante as he prepared himself.
"Deal and remember the empress wants an answer of WHY she betrayed us." said Vergil with Sephiroth "indeed" as he ready himself as the siege tower that Raven is on is getting closer. That is until, a loud voice "Raven!"
The tower is hit by a speeding Naruko and the three says "Never mind The empress got it" Dante says "will she be ok?" as he and the others are knocking off the rouges off the wall and tossing them where they come from.
"This has been a long time coming between, more so when she just left to join the rouges after the War." said Vergil as Naruko tackles Raven which both are rolling until Naruko is on top and begins punching her with the mask still on Raven as she shouting in anger "Why did you leave!" she throws another punch "did our time together mean nothing to you! Was everything that we've been through meant nothing at all to you!"
Raven is just taking the punches until Naruko stops as tears drop down from Naruko's eyes as it falls on the mask while Naruko says in a weak and broken voice "d-did you even love me at all?" Raven just laying there with Naruko keeps crying as she says "well? Why ain't you saying anything!"
Raven pushes Naruko up then gets up and draws her weapon and ready herself with Naruko sniffs as she says "fine, that's how it going to be" she summons her weapon, which this time she summons a different one, this one a bo staff which she spins it and Water and ice forms on it.
They start fighting each other.
Meanwhile, all the generals have to take care of the invasion forces from entering the other side. With a few soldiers being treated by the nurses that come to their wounds. The fight is not over yet as this might be the rogue final stand.
Boa says "do you think they have something in their sleeves?" as she is talking with Whitebeard as he says "I believe so" while keeping an eye out.
Then they see a massive battering ram heading to the gate "Aim for the pushers! Bring them down!" All archers aim for the pushers.
Hinata, who is healing one of the samurai she heard that and uses her eyes to take a look around. And spots something, not someone on top of the nearby hills.
She sees Sasuke which is odd to her and near him there is nothing but three floating eyes and it seems that Sasuke is talking to the eyes. Hinata's eyes widened in shock as she heard legends of those three eyes. She gets her eyesight to normal and says "I have to tell her!"
She finishes healing and heads looking for Naruko.
Speaking of which, Naruko and Raven are trading blows. Naruko keeps fighting then Raven's blade meets Naruko's staff once more and the blade breaks and at that moment, Naruko does a spin and kicks toward Raven's head.
Raven is sent into the rocky wall and Naruko is ready to end her but she hears "Naruko!" Naruko does not turn around as she raises her staff, "Naruko! There's trouble, Sasuke is here and he's not alone!" shouts Hinata as he comes up to Naruko.
"Who is he with?" asked Naruko as she is still about to finish Raven with Hinata next to Naruko as she panting as she says "t-that demon w with the three eyes! The demon king! Mundus"
Raven's eyes widen behind the mask and Naruko stops her bo-staff from Hitting Raven and asks "Are you one hundred percent sure?" and Hinata nodding uncontrollably and Naruko looks at Raven and stops as she and Hinata run away. As both are gone from sight.
Raven's mask breaks in half to reveal Raven's face as well her red eyes which she has tears running down as she says only to herself "I'm sorry Naruko" she keeps letting tears drop.
With Naruko and Hinata
Both are running as Naruko says "go back to the gates Hinata" Hinata says "There is also a giant battering ram heading to the gate" Naruko "a battering ram? That won't last long cause"
At the gate
The battering ram is in pieces as well the peoples that were holding it as their laying on the ground and them is foot and it belongs to Boa as she is laughing in a victory as she says "That was pathetic although we will need to do some repairs to the door." as the door itself had taken a few beatings but not too bad.
As it turns out the battering ram was designed to destroy the gates into the city but that never happened.
Back with Naruko
Naruko arrives at the hill that Sasuke is on and sees that there are three eyes next to him, "Mundus!" shouts Naruko with her eyes narrowed at them.
Sasuke looks at her and smirks showing he can see and Naruko says "that can't be right! You shouldn't be able to see at all!" she swings her arm at him, He blocks with his arm but still winces as it hurts and Sasuke says "it doesn't matter! If it means I can finally end you!"
But then he finds his feet no longer on the ground and is sent flying and Naruto turns to the eyes and says "your next!" She goes after Sasuke. Mundus laughs then a tear opens up and Dante and Vergil step through and Mundus says in anger "you two!" as Dante says "sorry three eyes, we not here to play"
Mundus couldn't do anything, even growling as both brothers attacked him.
While Naruko and Sasuke are having their long-awaited rematch since their fight at the valley of the end, Naruko grabs him and slams his head into the ground a few times then tosses him toward a large stone with her saying "you seem that you forgot! While you couldn't train for a long time, while I fought in a war and many battles, which means I gained knowledge and more than you could through training!"
Naruko then throws a boulder at Sasuke as she says "power and experience are truly two different things! I learned this the moment I had to grow up and change my ways and my way of thinking! That's why I choose peace over ongoing war and nonstop death!" Sasuke pushes off the boulder.
And says "all that sounds like the words of a fool! If it were me I would have kept the war going! Everyone would be stronger-" he gets stomped on by Naruko and says "you must still be blind! Look around you! The rogue's army is beaten and out for the count! And even though peace, I make sure everyone keeps working on their skills as a stagnate army is not good, we must keep moving forward!" as she pushed her feet onto Sasuke's face. Sasuke screams in pain and Naruko says "This is one reason you always lose as you never CHANGE! As your ways are old and outlived of what it was meant to do, that's why when I'm finished beating you up. I'm going to do what you should have done then, I'm going to revive your clan and used them to be much better people you ever will be"
Sasuke groans in pain as he able to say "d-didn't your fucking monster in red remove possible!" with Naruko laughs "well maybe by Konoha means, no it can't, but we at my empire and the medical tech can do such wonders"
Sasuke growls then shouts "Mundus! I fully offer all of myself so that I can finally kill this bitch and what you will afterward!"
But something is wrong Mundus is busy as he's dodging all of the brothers' slashes and stabs. Then Naruko grabs his next "Sorry Mundus is buying at the moment so don't try that again and to be sure you don't…" Naruko snaps her fingers and a doll through the smoke.
Sasuke starts to struggle then he is pulled into the doll by both Dante and Virgil with Dante saying "well kid, enjoy your new home!" both throw Sasuke in the doll. As Sasuke shouts while pieces of the doll are fusing on his body, "No I will get free and I will kill you all!" he reaches out with his only free hand but it gets cut off and falls onto the ground. He is sealed into the doll and the doll falls to the ground. Naruko picks it up and says "To some young ladies dolls are beautiful but this one is ugly. I want you both to seal this doll into an unnamed crypt with other unnamed crypts around it as I don't want this fucker to get away. His body will die but his soul will be forever sealed into the doll"
While Dante is poking the human hand of Sasuke's with him saying "so what about this?" Naruko says "oh take it a moment, as I have something else for our dear demon king friend here, as I have a fate much worse" she smiles while Mundus says in pure Conference "what can you possibly do to me! There's nothing you humans could bring fear into me! The Demon King Mundus!" he starts laughing as he knows that all their effects would fail.
Sometime later
Mundus is swearing as he's talking in a tiny voice while he's surrounded by Naruko's new patch of dire wolf puppies as they come to him as he says "no stay back you beasts! Don't you know who I am!"
The puppies don't care as they start chasing him, who is now a new crew toy for the puppies, onto Naruko who is holding up the kinda fix-up mask of Raven who had gotten away.
Naruko stares into it, not realizing that someone is talking to her until finally, the voice breaks through "Naruko!" Naruko snaps out of it and says "h-huh? Yes?" She looks and sees not one but two as there are Hinata and Boa as they have been worried about her.
"Are you ok?" they ask, Naruko looks at them then lets out a sigh as she says "not really" she places the mask away, then something falls out of the mask but Naruko doesn't care for it as she gets up and walks off.
Hinata however picks it and sees that it is a letter "Naruko meet me at the location where we first met alone. I will answer everything. Please Naruko, I beg of you, don't ignore this, my love. Your Raven." Hinata widens and goes after Naruko, and says "Naruko wait, you need to read this!" She holds out the letter to Naruko.
Naruko reads it and her eyes widen and walks away ordering "Tell everyone I will be out and busy today. I need those answers'' but boa says "but what if it's a trap Naruko" with Hinata says "maybe it's not!" Naruko says "I don't care if it is or not, I want answers, and then maybe me and yang put this behind us" she walks off and Hinata says "yang?" then she hears.
"Oh right," Hinata turns to see Ruby who comes out of nowhere, as she resumes "you don't hang out much with Yang, so I will tell you as you know me and Yang are sisters right?"
Hinata nods, "well what you don't know that Yang and I are half-sisters, you know the whole same dad but different moms kind of deal, and Raven is yang's mother and Empress Naruko's former teacher and love"
Hinata's eyes widen in shock and Ruby nods, "yeah, she used to be on our side but out of nowhere, she kinda vanished, days before the final battle, no one saw her again until she show up as part of the Rogues and you can see that pretty much broke Empress Naruko's heart and Yang was furious on that day."
Naruko is heading to the location as a woman on a mission with a glare on her as she wants the answers to Raven's actions and betrayal. As the spot in question is a 5-day trip.
Five days later
Naruko is walking up to the location and Raven is sitting there with bloodshot eyes as she sees Naruko coming up to her and both just stare at each other until Raven says "you come-"
Naruko cuts her off "Why Raven why I want answers!" Naruko starts to tear up and Raven sighs as she gets up and says "you deserve answers for what I put you through..come, walk with me"
They go for a walk and then they come up to a grave and it says "Here lies Qrow Branwen, a wonderful brother who was taken before his time." Naruko just standing there with Raven "The fucking rogues blackmailed me as they poisoned my brother and threatened me. They said they would cure him if I joined them and do what they say but what I did not know is they had let him die. That is one reason after finding out I know that I fucked up and I could never return to your side Naruko. No matter how much I wanted to. You have my heart Naruko even though I don't have yours anymore. I have been trying to fix everything but the past keeps returning." Raven is crying again as she says "even if I let myself be killed by you and I would do it with a damn smile-" she is stopped by Naruko kissing her.
Naruko backs away to show that she is crying too as the two stares at each other then they kiss each other again as they move away from there and go toward the nearby waterfall.
Then they sit and hug while crying. With Raven's head on Naruko's chest while she is holding her with Raven saying 'i'm sorry, I'm sorry over and over again. All until Raven falls asleep and lays her head on Naruko's lap.
Naruko has bloodshot eyes as she sniffs a bit, Naruko is looking down at Raven with love as she pats Raven's head.
Five days later
Naruko returns home with Raven and announces WHY Raven had joined the rogues as she was blackmailed as they murdered her brother Qrow Branwen and that makes Yang and Ruby cry as they loved Qrow as he was their favorite uncle and the fact they didn't know, made it worse.
Raven is sitting in a room getting checked over by Unohana who has her son Damien in his playpen as she says "I'm sorry for what you had to go through" she looks at her.
Raven nods "I am as well as those fools messed with me and I know some are still out there." Unohana says "well for now...why not reconnect your daughter"
Raven says "Yang it has been a while. Yeah I need to." as she gets up and notices a hand in a tube, "um...what's with that?" Unohana says "oh that...don't worry about it, just something for an upcoming project" she smiles. Raven blinks as she says "o-ok?" she walks out.
Meanwhile Konoha
Tsunade is reading a message from the Empire and it's not good as it says about Sasuke and how the Empress had to seal him away with the location of him being a very guarded secret and even then Naruko will be erasing memories of where he is unless they need to remember.
And she will be paying a visit as it was clear that Konoha had failed to keep on Sasuke, Tsunade placed the letter on the table after reading it and placed her hands on her face as she said "this isn't great, she's going to demand something from here!" she slammed her fist on the table and it's out of frustration. The table breaks.
Tsunade growls and gets up and looks out at the village as it worse for worse than an Anbu appeared as he reports in "Lady Tsunade"
"What is it?" asked Tsunade, the Anbu says "three people from the Empire have appeared at the gates" Tsunade sighs and says "Thank you." She gets her jacket and heads over.
At the gates of Konoha
"You two didn't have to come along," said Iroh as he's making tea as they wait for the two who come along, one is Tifa and with her is Yoruichi as Yoruichi says "oh nonsense! We were told to come here ahead of time and you just happen to be along with the ride" Tifa doing some light boxing outside of the village while at the other side there's a massive gathering of people wondering who the two women are as they know who iroh is.
The tea is done and both Tifa and Yoruichi sit down for some tea and drink some as Tifa says "this is good" Iroh says "Indeed I do enjoy tea so much"
As all three are drinking their tea, the people make way for Tsuande who comes through with a pair of Anbu with her and sees all three of them, as they keep drinking tea.
"What brings you here, and hello again Iroh," said Tsunade. "Hello again Tsunade." said Iroh and Yoruichi says "We are here to tell you that you need to keep a better eye on your rogues as Mundas returned and used Sasuke Uchiha guy and even somehow undid what Blaze did to his sight" as she drinks more of her tea.
Tsunade was shocked then Yoruichi gets a message and reads then the says "It seems they learned as long as Mundas put Energy into Sasuke he would keep his sight and able to use his pink eye thing and so on but he's posing no longer both danger or safe as he's seal away as to where he is being kept is secret that is lost due to a seal that Empress made so that no one would dare found him"
The civilians are shouting at them as they have no right to do that at all, Yoruichi doesn't seem to care about what they are shouting out about "so don't expect him back as he's now the Empire's inmate for life as he had attacked our empress during an attack. There's no ifs or buts and since you guys are very much the 'parent' of him...expect mm demands"
Tsunade knew this was coming, then came the bigger headaches. The elders arrive as an elderly woman says "what's the meaning of this!" one of the civilians says "You have no right to do that to Uchiha-sama!" As the Civilians seem like they are going to attack, Iroh sighs and gets up and gets in front of Yoruichi and Tifa then takes a deep breath then a torrent of flames are unleashed from Iroh's mouth scaring the civilians.
Iroh stops and says "what is the matter with you all! What has happened is a crime has been committed and here you are all making it sound like he did nothing wrong! When in truth he has! And should be grateful that it's just the demand of a single thing rather than having an army marching in and taking everything you all hold dear for! Is that what you all want! Bloodshed, War, and strife! For what?! A single boy who doesn't even care for any of you!"
Tifa and Yoruichi are just letting Iroh tear into the civilians as he continues as they know this man knows such things all too well, "so tell me! Are you all willing to offer up everything! For some power-crazed fool! Even the lives of your children!" said Iroh as everyone doesn't say a thing back to him.
Tsunade knows that this is what she wants to avoid as they don't have any allies, unlike the empire. As the grown-up stood there, the children, however "no way! Why should I give up my life for someone who just runs away for what?! Power! NO" Iroh words had reached the hearts of the youth as they realized they're not going to do something for someone who just up and goes anytime he pleases. As a woman trying to tell her daughter "dear you have to understand Sas-"
"I understand completely you want a power-hungry brat back and you are willing to sacrifice me to do it!" shouts her daughter
One Civilian walks forward as he was a supporter of Naruko when she was younger and says "I say we leave the brat to his fate, don't forget the Uchiha clan, many of them were arrogant shits who wanted more power and more to have someone to be Hokage." Tsunade sighs as she feels that some of the civilians and young are realizing as some the more blind and elderly are trying to get them to see 'reason' but failing.
Iroh says "Some minds can not be swayed at all. It is a shame that the elderly who are stuck in their ways are the most close-minded to change." as one of the elderly says "cause our ways are what keep us living this way!"
"It will also be your death." said Iroh then everyone hears "couldn't have said better myself" They turn to see Naruko standing there and she is not happy and she's not alone as there's a group of guards. The guards are ready to attack if they have to, Tsunade says "Naruko!"
Naruko stares at Tsunade and points at her, "that's Empress to you" said Naruko, she's in no mood for pleasing talks. Tsunade shivers as that's a look of a fearless leader, Tsunade nods "Empress."
Naruko comes up to Iroh "so Iroh it seems you have turned some people to Sasuke is a power-hungry fool camp." Iroh says "I serve such people until I step away" Naruko nods to that, as Iroh will not be around forever but Naruko will learn everything she can before he leaves them.
Naruko says "now, should we go to your office Lady Hokage?" She walks past the people to the elders' dismay, Tsunade follows. Naruko then sees one civilian step in front but she knows who it is. This man let her hide in his shop when she was younger. "Oh Mr. Moto," said Naruko.
Moto says "It is good to see you again Naruko you have grown from the little child I remember seeing around the village into a powerful leader of an Empire"
Naruko comes up to him and asks him this, "do you think if things were different...would I have been the Hokage?" Naruko looks at him.
Mr. Moto says "That is a good question. The answer is yes you would have made a great Hokage, cause seeing how your people have shown a great deal of respect." and Naruko smiles as she says "it was nice to see you again" she goes back heading toward the Hokage tower.
Naruko is not happy as she walks with Tsunade sweating at the thought of what Naruko could want.
Later at the Hokage's office
"You want what!" Tsunade shouts as she slams her hands on her desk, "that's right, I want is Konoha's rarest Saki"
Tsunade is panicking, Naruko says "well?" she's tapping her finger as Naruko is waiting, Tsunade is hesitating on this.
Naruko taps her foot, Tsunade sighs as she says "fine, just hold on Empress" Naruko nods as Tsunade leaves the office, leaving Naruko to herself.
Naruko sighs
Once Naruko is by herself, she gets up from the seat and looks around. The room has not changed much when she sees the pictures of the Third and her Father and asks one question "Are you both proud of the woman I have become?" she looks at the photo as if she's waiting for an answer from them, Naruko sighs as she says "I'm talking to photos that can't answer back...I must be tired"
But then she sees the photos smile brighter and then looks behind her and sees their ghosts, Naruko blinks as she turns away and rubs her eyes "yeah, definitely tired."
Then she hears a chuckle "Hello Kyuubi it has been a while." "the fox? No, I don't think so" Naruko's eyes turn dull as she's pulled into her mindscape and she sees the Third and her Father.
Naruko blinks at this. Then she smacks herself, to make sure that she's dreaming. Turns out she is not dreaming at all and says "so the ghosts of the Hokage standing in front of me...what brings this visit?"
"To talk to you and answer your question Naruko," said Hiruzen. Naruko looks at them, "what?" with Naruko "well, the last time such people say who they are...they tried to kill me in my sleep, how do I know you two are saying who you are? not a pair of Yam-"
She is cut off by Kyuubi banging against the gate and shouting about the fourth and Hiruzen shows the seal on his stomach as an image of the Shinigami appears behind them both then Hiruzen says "When you were four years old you came running into my office to hide after you pranked my clan." Naruko claps her hand and points as she says "that's point one for old man Hokage! Cause only you know that! But what about you?"
Naruko points at the 4th Hokage, The Hokage is pointing to the gate where Kyuubi is as he is screaming about ending the fourth Hokage "That should be proof enough as he can sense his other half"
Naruko blinks at that and says "wait half? You mean to tell me I've been carrying Kyuubi all of this time and he is not at full power?!" She remembers getting her ass handled by the fox until one day she finally beats him and can use his chakra.
Minato says "Yes I did not trust Danzo also it is almost Time that you gain all of the Kyuubi but you must be on good terms with the Kyuubi-." Naruko cuts in "oh you mean Kurama? Yeah, we are, we have a sibling kind, he's like the big brother I never have" Minato nods and smiles "though…I won't mind stopping him from getting his fangs on you though" Minato drops the smiles as he says "wait what!" he gets grabbed by Naruko and drags him toward Kurama's as Minato says "Naruko why!"
Naruko stops by a few feet away from Kurama's room of the mindscape as she turns to him and says "Let see, I had grown up alone, with many grown-ups not trusting me and see me like some wolf in sheep's clothing, throwing things at me and even when I ask for a mask, a mask mind you! The owner just shout at me and throw that mask at me"
