Chapter 3 An old friend
Sean chuckled as he was in class watching Tea duel Joey.
"Give it up!" Joey said excited.
"How bout no." Tea said placing a breath of light card.
"Huh can she do that?" Joey asked.
"Da! The breath of light card wears down rock monsters." Sean said.
"Reduces them to rubble." Yugi said making Joey look horrified picturing it in his head.
"Once again I kicked your ass." Tea said making Sean burst out laughing. (It's amazing Joey used to be such an amateur in the beginning and went pro during the Duelist kingdom arc)
"You suck, Joey." Tristan said making him groan.
Later
"Tristan is right guys. I can't win a duel to save my life. What is it? What am I doing wrong?" Joey asked Sean and Joey.
"Lets start with your deck." Sean said on a pull up bar before Joey handed it to him before Sean looked through it. "What the fuck is this?" Sean asked annoyed.
"What is it?" Yugi asked before Sean handed it to him and saw what he did. "No one could win with these cards. Joey theres nothing but monsters in here." Yugi said.
"You bet. I packed it full of every butt kicking monster I could find. OW!" Joey yelled as Sean hit him in the head.
"You dumbass! No wonder you keep losing! You can't win with just monster cards." Sean said.
"I can't?" Joey asked.
"Hell no. Even Seto knew that when he first started out when I taught him. You need magic and trap cards combined in for combinations and to counter your opponents. With just monsters and especially weak ones like these. Your ass is doomed to fail." Sean said.
"Aw man. I need to teacher." Joey said taking them back.
"Why not go to Yugi's grandpa? He's an expert. He may not have beaten Seto but thats because he got caught by surprise by how they dueled. Not to mention I taught him everything he knows." Sean said leaving.
Sighing he decided to head home for the day.
"Hey Sean." Tea said running to him.
"Hey Tea. Want me to walk ya home?" Sean asked.
"Actually I was hoping to ask you something." Tea said.
"Oh?" Sean asked.
"I was hoping maybe you could teach me more about the duel monsters game. Since Joey is gonna learn from Yugi's grandpa." Tea said.
"How'd you know about that?" Sean asked.
"I was eavesdropping." Tea said making him chuckle. "Well?" Tea asked.
"Ah what the hell? All right. But don't think I'm gonna go easy on ya just because we're dating." Sean said making her giggle.
Days later
Everyone was at Yugi's place watching a duel monsters tournament.
"Hey Sean? Weren't you and Kaiba supposed to be in this?" Joey asked.
"As a matter of fact yes. But since he's figuring himself out I decided not to bother. Besides I got my hands full trying to locate the Spirit of Fire." Sean said.
"How come you haven't found it yet?" Tristan asked.
"No idea. I've looked all over the place trying to find that thing." Sean said before the finals started up with Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor.
"Who are these guys anyway?" Joey asked.
"From what I understand Weevil is a Bug duelist. As for Rex his deck is a combination of both Dinosaurs with a major of them and a small amount of Dragons. Both are good to be honest." Sean said.
"You sound like you don't know them all that well." Yugi said.
"For some reason the archives on these two was limited. Not sure why." Sean said as Weevil defeated Rex.
"Please. I bet you could have beaten these two losers easily." Joey said.
"No doubt. But it wouldn't be as exciting without Seto to make things interesting. Our win and loss counter is equal." Sean said.
"Sean." Solomon said walking in with some package.
"Hey Gramps. Whats with the package?" Yugi asked.
"I don't know. Some man in a suit brought this to me and asked me to hand it to him." Solomon said.
"How'd someone know I was even here?" Sean asked taking it before opening it up.
"What is it?" Tea asked.
Inside was some kind of glove with star sized holes big enough for Ten. Along with two stars that could fit in it. And a Tape.
"What do we have here?" Sean asked taking the tape before putting it in the Tv.
Thats when to his surprise it was none other than Maximillion Pegasus the creator of Duel monster appeared on the screen.
"It's been a long time Kruger my old friend." Pegasus said.
"Whoa! You know the famous Maximillion Pegasus?" Yugi asked surprised.
"Oh yeah I almost forgot. I healed his wife from a rare disease using a syringe I had with me." Sean said taking it out showing green liquid inside. "All it needs is one drop in the IV bag and anyone is cured from anything. My brother Vic made this a long time ago." Sean said resuming the Video.
"From what I understand you haven't aged a day. But thats to be expected since you are from the future after all." Pegasus said surprising them.
"I never told him that." Sean said before looking at Tea.
"Don't give me that look." Tea said.
"Before you even think it no none of your friends told me. Rather an acquaintance we both know told me a year after you vanished. I was rather shocked. But more importantly I know you're looking for your ship where others from your era are in waiting to be found." Pegasus said.
"Who told him?" Yugi asked making Sean shrug.
"Only a small few know the truth. You guys, Seto and Mokuba. Now Pegasus and someone else I know along with one other due to circumstances." Sean said.
"Well...What if I told you I found your ship?" Pegasus said shocking him.
"What? How? I've searched everywhere." Sean said.
"I won't say where it is right away. I will tell you however if you compete in my Duelist kingdom tournament that begins this week. Make it to the finals and I will reveal where it is. And of course you are free to bring some friends along to enjoy it all." Pegasus said before the tape ended.
"What in the name of hell." Sean said in shock.
"How'd Pegasus find it?" Yugi asked.
"I don't know and frankly right now I don't care. All I know is I need to get in the finals and find out." Sean said.
Later
Sean sat on the school roof looking at the sky.
'After 25 years of not seeing my family for so long I finally have a chance to see them again. Still...How did Pegasus find it? I searched all over the world for anything unusual and nothing came up. So how did he find it?' Sean asked.
"Sean?" Yugi said getting his attention.
"Oh hey Yugi." Sean said.
"What are you doing up here?" Yugi asked.
"Ah...Just thinking. It's been 25 years since I've seen my family. And now I got a chance to see them again." Sean said making him smile.
"You really miss them don't you?" Yugi asked.
"More than you could ever realize." Sean said before chuckling.
"What is it?" Yugi asked.
"You remember how we all met?" Sean asked making him nod.
"Yeah. It was all because of the millennium puzzle. The way Grandpa explained it to me, The Puzzle was originally found in some Egyptian Ruins. My Grandpa gave it to me and Kind of dared me to solve it which took 8 years since it was so complicated. It was the most incredible thing I'd ever seen. As soon as I touched it, I knew it was special." Yugi said making him chuckle.
"I can tell. You've had that thing ever since you completed it." Sean said.
"I made a wish on the puzzle. I asked it to give me a real friend, and I think the puzzle came through. That was when I met up with Joey and Tristan." Yugi said.
"Yeah except they didn't exactly act like your friends in the beginning." Sean said chuckling remembering all the times they teased him. "And Joey threw that last piece of the puzzle into the pool calling it teasing to toughen you up to real bullies." Sean said.
"Yeah. And then I had to stand up to them against a real bully. And then thats when we met." Yugi said making him chuckle.
Flashback
The bully Yugi stood up to laughed as he beat him up real good.
"WHY YOU!" Sean yelled slamming him into a wall. "MOTHERFUCKING COCKSUCKER!" Sean yelled before punching him in the stomach so hard he actually coughed up blood before falling down as Sean started beating him to death.
"Whoa...He's tougher than him." Tristan said somewhat fearful.
Sean roared as he slammed him into a wall actually making it crack which terrified them even more as Sean snapped his arm making the Bully yell in pain before Sean lifted him in the air and slammed his back on his knee making him roar in agonizing pain.
End Flashback
"You scared Tristan and Joey real good that day. The whole school feared you after that." Yugi said making him chuckle sheepishly.
"Yeah. I've always had anger management issues when it comes to bullies. Couldn't stand them. But in the end it looked like it helped you and them get close and Joey got the piece he threw out." Sean said making him nod.
"Yeah." Yugi said. "So what are you gonna do about what Pegasus said?" Yugi asked.
"I'm going of course. I've looked for 25 years. It's time to see my family again." Sean said.
Later
Everyone was at the docks for the cruise ship to head to Duelist kingdom.
"Whoa." Tea said in awe.
"Heh! The cruise ships from my era were ten times bigger and in space." Sean said as they approached the line before handing them a special card Pegasus gave to let them know who he was.
"Your rooms have been set up Mr. Kruger." One of the security guards said.
While Yugi, Joey and Tristan had their room Sean and Tea had another.
"Wow." Tea said seeing the luxury room.
"Glad you're enjoying yourself. I think it's my job to make you happy." Sean said making her smile at him as she put her things away.
Walking out to the deck they all enjoyed the view.
"By the way Joey why did Yugi give you a star chip anyway?" Sean asked.
"So I could compete of course." Joey said.
"Why? Your training with Solomon wasn't finished and..." Sean tried to say.
"I need the cash prize money." Joey said.
"For wha...Wait a minute. This about Serenity's eyesight isn't it?" Sean asked surprising him.
"You knew?" Joey asked.
"Course I knew. I've been seeing her for months dumbass." Sean said.
"Oh right." Joey said sheepishly making the others laugh. "Anyway she told me her eyesight is getting even worse and soon she'll go blind. But with the prize money I can fix that with some special doctors." Joey said.
"You won't need to once I find the ship and get Victor." Sean said.
"What are you talking about?" Joey asked.
"Vic can fix anything. He was the head of the medical research department. He uses special flowers back home to make new types of medicine that can heal anything. And when the War began he was in charge of the medical division. Once we find him he can fix her eyes for free." Sean said.
"Really?" Joey asked hopeful .
"Course. But that doesn't mean we still can't see what you've learned out here." Sean said making him grin.
"Well, what do we have here?"
Sean turned seeing a woman in her mid 20's looking at him. She had long blond hair white skin and purple eyes.
"Whoa!" Joey yelled.
"So you're the famous Future Duelist everyone is talking about."
"And if I am?" Sean asked.
"If you're using that cheep trick to intimidate everyone your not gonna have much luck hon."
Tea growled at her.
"This coming from the woman spraying Perfume on her cards to trick people into thinking she's got physic powers?" Sean asked making her eyes widen in shock. "I know who you are Mai Valentine. And if you think your jabs are gonna help you win against me think again. Now beat it." Sean said making her widen her eyes.
"Now look I..." Mai said.
"I fucking said beat it." Sean said making her sigh before walking away.
"That was kinda harsh Sean." Tea said.
"Don't care. I'm only in this to get to the finals and find my ship." Sean said.
While the guys were looking around Sean and Tea were in their room before Sean took out a photo.
In the Photo was him next to a few people.
The first was slightly taller than Sean and had a muscular build with a hockey mask on his face.
The next had a similar appearance but his face was disfigured.
Next was a man who had white skin brown hair and brown eyes next to him was a woman with with skin brown spiky hair and blue eyes.
Finally was another man who clearly was military with brown hair in a Mohawk style with bright blue eyes.
And lastly on Sean's shoulders was a boy around the age of 2 with tan skin brown hair and blue eyes.
"Hmm." Sean said.
"That you're family?" Tea asked.
"Yup. Me, Jason, Victor, Alex and Dana, Soap and my son Turok." Sean said. (Jason from Friday the 13th 2009. Victor from Hatchet without the hatchet scar on his face. Alex and Dana from Prototype and Soap from Call of Duty. Sora I don't wanna hear any complaining since no one else does)
"Why does Victor have a disfigured face?" Tea asked.
"I told you before life was perfect for everyone...That wasn't entirely true. There was district that was shit where we grew up. Called the Argos district. It was there the only place in the new solar system that there was poverty and crime. But it was kept that way for a reason." Sean said.
"Why?" Tea asked.
"It had a habit of making legends within the government of people who pulled themselves out of the gutter and rose to the highest levels both in military and politics. So it was kept that way since so many of our best came from there...Including my former Mentor the PM of Sparta 500 years before I was born. He also received the serum that kept him eternally young. In fact these cards I have he used to have." Sean said pulling out his main deck. "He died shortly before the war ended. I keep them to remember him." Sean said.
"Oh. So why was Victor's face disfigured?" Tea asked.
"Disfiguration was prevented using a special pill but it cost money. And in our district we didn't have that much. So he and Jason were born disfigured. My mother had enough for me when I was growing inside. Then she got a break and had enough for Alex, Dana and Soap. Fortunately Victor found a new way to prevent disfiguration using special herbs that grew outside the city sections. He ended disfiguration for good. Thats what earned him his position in the medical research department to prevent what happened to him from ever happening again." Sean said.
"Wow." Tea said before they heard Yugi yell making them rush out.
Arriving at the rails they saw Joey and Yugi in the water before Sean pulled out a chain and wrapped it around them and pulled them up.
"The fuck were you guys doing!" Sean yelled as Tristan rushed in.
"That good for nothing Weevil threw Yugi's exodia cards into the ocean. I only managed to get two." Joey said making Sean glare.
"Ok...Now I'm pissed." Sean said walking off.
Weevil had a sick grin on his face for what he did.
Only to yelp when Sean shoved him into a wall.
"You worthless cocksucker. Cheaters like you disgust me. I'll be the first person you'll be dueling and when I win...You can kiss your deck goodbye." Sean said making him nervous as he dropped him.
After that the guys were in their room while Sean and Tea were in theirs as Tea stripped down to her bra and thong while Sean was in his shorts as they got in bed.
"I can't believe Weevil actually threw Yugi's Exodia cards into the ocean." Tea said.
"Don't worry. I'll deal with him myself when we arrive. For now rest." Sean said holding her close making her smile as she rested her head in his chest.
"Goodnight." Tea said as she fell asleep.
Authors Note: Welp I managed to get this done on time for a double update. Now Next Chapter we face Weevil and we see a new monster from Sean's deck. Now I am gonna skip some battles since in this season everything is way different compared to the original. But I will be doing the Paradox brothers fight but with one difference this time around. But the others are pretty much cannon so theres no need to do them. But for now I'm still mainly focused on my Avatar's Guardian which is getting more and more intense. Once I finish with that I will have some more time to update other stories until I decide to publish the new Legend of Korra story which will be a Yugioh crossover one next.
