Author's Note: I know a lot of people might be curious on something, so let me get this out now. Yes, I've made it clear pairings are meant to go on the Crazy Trouble with Love series, so some of you might be asking why this one has its own separate fic. Well, due to a real big fan of this pairing, who 'helped' make it come true, I went ahead to publish it since they wanted to see others read it. Does this mean others will get the same treatment? It all depends on personally speaking to me, because again, this was able to exist due to a fan who 'helped' make it possible after talking to me directly and we came to an agreement. Beacon, an academy known for bringing the best kind of hunters and huntresses in all of Remnant to deal with the creatures of Grimm while also helping people with usually lesser threats. Some who would go on and become famous while others would fade to obscurity and use their skills for less than savory means or two bit jobs just to make ends meet.
One of the many teams though had great potential, and who were currently in the middle of something to hone their skills and muscles. Down in the Emerald Forest is where a Beowolf was running after someone who it saw as fresh prey to rip to shreds.
"Come on poochy! I'm right here!" they mocked the Grimm while jumping and swung using the branch ahead of them to turn around the tree and ran in another direction making the Beowolf skid to turn and let out a loud roar in irritation.
The Beowolf poured on the speed, slowly gaining on the figure who smirked.
"Yo Tai!"
"On it!"
The Beowolf saw its prey jump to the side of a tree and would have followed, only for something to come down from above in the tree, getting knocked aside thanks to a well placed kick to it's cheek, making it roll on it's side.
"Summer! You're up!"
"Right!"
The Grimm growled, shaking it's head and got up to see another human, another prey for it, and was ready to charge before it's eyes widened when it felt a sensation in its side, then let out a howl of pain as the camera showed its body cut in half, making it's upper half go limp and quiet. When both halves stopped moving, the body began to disperse away like the rest of its kind.
"Hell yeah, way to go Summer." smiled the first person who moved over from behind the tree, revealed to be a boy who had black, spiky hair, faded red eyes with a red, tattered cloak, he wore a gray dress shirt with a long tail, black dress pants and black dress shoes. On his right index finger was a ring with two others on his ring finger and a necklace with a crooked cross-shaped pendant.
"Thanks, but you two made it happen." smiled a girl, shorter than the boy, who had silver eyes, a fair complexion, and shoulder-length black-into-red hair tied back in a half-up/half-down style, which one might not see due to her white hood, which was white outside and red underneath. Under said cloak was a black high-neck décolletage blouse with studded wristbands on the arms, a black and white overbust corset, a skirt with white tulle underneath, gray leggings, and knee-high boots with red soles. "Especially you Taiyang."
"Aw shucks, just doing what had to be done." smiled the second person, shown to be a boy with gold blond hair that had two small strands sticking out from the top and blue eyes. He wore brown cargo pants with a dark brown belt, black shoes, an orange bandana on his left arm and a brown leather vest over a tan dress shirt with the right sleeve cut off. For armor, he wore a metal spaulder, leather vambrace and a brown fingerless glove all on his right arm.
"Yo Raven! We got 'em!" called the first guy as he looked around the trees. "You gonna stay hiding up there or come down?"
"I already did." came a girl's voice behind them. They turned and out stepped from a bush was a girl with bright red eyes, with long jet black bushy hair that was tied up in a loosely done ponytail with a red bandana with the ends looking like curved black feathers with a cowlick popping up from the top of her head, who wore a shallow cut black and red dress with black shorts underneath, with a series of beaded necklaces and a belt that wrapped around her waist and carried her weapon's sheath. Attached was a long black object that was either fur or feathers, with a red and white bandana material hanging from behind her. Her forearms bore red armored gauntlets that protruded outwards and black fingerless gloves. She wore black mid-thigh high leggings with red splatter patterns and black heels.
"Well where were you? I thought we had a plan?" the guy raised an eyebrow.
"I know, but something came up. We had some extra company." she replied before an Ursa burst out from the bush with its claws out aimed at the girl who grabbed the handle of her blade, easily jumping into the air as the Grimm missed her before she landed on it's back, plunging the red sword right into its neck, making it let out a surprised grunt before it crashed to the ground, dead before it hit as it's body began to disappear with her easily stepping off. "A group of these were prowling nearby, so I had to take care of them or else they would have given all of you trouble."
"Oh please, we could have handled them." her brother waved off making her roll her eyes while Summer chuckled.
"Thank you Raven, that was very considerate of you."
"Shame we couldn't see it, that would have been awesome to watch." smiled Taiyang with a thumbs up, Raven closing her eyes and shaking her head.
"The important thing is we took care of the Grimm, which means our training for today is done." she replied while her cheeks were lightly pink.
"Alright, time to goof off for the rest of the day." Qrow put his hands behind his head before turning and walking off before the other three followed, Summer patting Raven on the back.
"Next time you can let us know, we could have lent a hand."
"It wasn't such an issue, they made it too easy if anything."
"Still, we're a team, and a team helps each other out no matter what." spoke Summer with a serious tone.
Raven looked at the girl's smile before sighing and crossed her arms. "Alright, I'll try to keep it in mind next time."
"That's all I ask." smiled the white hooded girl as the group made their way out of the forest via a side path leading back up to the cliff where all of them originally came from during their very start of the year here at Beacon, after getting catapulted off it thanks to Ozpin.
Which Qrow had kept in mind for a long time if his numerous plans on getting back at the old man was anything to go by.
After some time, they made it back into the large school, going down the hall to their room where Qrow promptly fell on his bed with a sigh of relief while Taiyang climbed up on his top bunk.
"Ahh, much better."
"So, we got the rest of the day to ourselves, what do you guys wanna do?" asked Taiyang as Raven sat crossed legged with Summer tapping her chin.
"Hmmm, we could try and get a head start on studying for the tests coming up.
"Study? On a day off? Boo." spoke Qrow with Raven shaking her head. "I say we go for a good old fashioned prank. I nominate Glynda."
"After the last one you pulled? Pass, I wanna actually go a night without getting wrapped up in bandages." spoke Taiyang before looking at Raven with a hidden glance and smile. "I think a study session could work, couldn't hurt to get a head start."
"I had plans on sharpening my blade tonight." spoke the girl with her eyes closed, but given the time they've spent together as a team, she could feel the eyes on her from Taiyang and managed to keep a cool expression.
"Come on Raven, when's the last time we really spent time together in the same room?" urged Summer.
"We sleep in the same room."
"I mean spend genuine time together without you?" she pouted, making the girl open an eye to look at her before sighing. "Pleeease?"
"...alright, we'll do it."
"Yay!" she cheered before hugging Raven tightly, making Taiyang smile with Qrow chuckling before standing up.
"Well I'm gonna pull a small trick on Glynda. I'll try to make it quick and be right back. Make sure to take my notes while I'm gone Tai."
"Not gonna happen." Taiyang shook his head as Qrow headed out with Summer breaking the hug before perking up.
"Oh no! I forgot my books!" she whirled around to Taiyang. "Could you go and get them? They should be at my desk."
"You got it." he sent a wink before getting off the bunk and headed out, leaving the two girls alone as Summer went over to the door, closed it, locked it, making Raven raise an eyebrow.
"Summer, what are you doing?"
"Trying to get us some alone time." she turned to the other girl and walked over to stand in front of her. "I want to talk to you about something important, and it involves Taiyang."
"What is it?"
"Let's be honest Raven, I think Taiyang likes you." spoke the girl, making Raven perk up, before looking away with a light blush.
"If he really liked me he would have come out and said it. I doubt he'd go ahead and have feelings for me."
"Oh come on Raven, I've seen the way he looks at you when he thinks no one's looking, and you're the same!" she threw her arms up. "I've seen you stare whenever he comes out of the shower without a shirt on!"
"Purely to see when the shower is free so I can take it." she dismissed without looking Summer in the eye who raised an eyebrow.
"Come on Raven, you can't expect me to accept an excuse like that." she crossed her arms. "I can tell you like him, but you don't go ahead and take the chance with him."
"Why should you worry about it? We've done good so far without a relationship brought up, so what's the point doing it now?" frowned Raven with Summer looking down.
"Because I'd like to see you two happy and together, especially when he's already picked you. If we can't be together, at the very least I can make sure two of my friends can find happiness together."
"We?" Raven looked confused, but looking at Summer's expression started to click in her head. "Wait...Summer, do you like Taiyang?"
"...yes, I do." she nodded looking at the floor while gripping her hands.
"How long?"
"It was around the time when the team was first formed. I was nervous about sharing a room with guys, but when Taiyang tried to help me relax with some jokes, I think that was the moment." she admitted while fiddling with her cape a little, nervous habit Raven easily picked up long ago.
"His jokes were nothing but puns." she gave a deadpanned look.
"Yeah, but it was the fact he was trying out so hard that made it worth it." smiled Summer. "After that, it got more and more stronger, but I couldn't bring myself to take the first step. I didn't think I was….woman enough."
Raven glanced down at Summer's body, then her own. "You were worried he'd see you more as a child because you're shorter than him."
"Yeah. I mean compared to your body, it's obvious he'd like you instead of me, that's why I want you two to be happy."
Raven saw her friend look down sadly which tugged at her heart strings, making her feel bad for her since she was willing to give up her own happiness for her, but that's when it clicked. She stood up and put a hand on Summer's shoulder. "Wait, hold on. I think there might be a way that could work for both of us?"
"Huh?" Summer let out in surprise as Raven let go and started to walk around the room in thought.
"The Branswen tribe has a law in it that would allow for something like this. In the event of a dispute between women who yearn for the same man, it would allow for them to be with him, provided he is proven worthy to them."
"You mean….you and me…. share Taiyang?" spoke Summer in surprise with a light blush as Raven nodded. "But won't that be weird?"
"Not at all. The law was made when the tribe was formed generations ago when we were small. It was to help keep our numbers up by allowing the men to have more than one wife. The more women they knocked up, the more our numbers increased. Women who go through with this are seen as equal to each other, so there wouldn't be any rivalries or jealousy, and if someone DID try something, they would be banished and stripped of their name, never to be allowed back in again. And given our time together, I fail to see a reason we'd do the same thing."
"If I went and talked to them, it might help ease their opinion and make it possible."
Summer's mouth set in a thin line with her body shaking, right before she launched herself at Raven, knocking her down to the floor with the girl grunting before finding Summer crying against her. "Thank you….thank you Raven."
"Hey, no reason to cry, this is good." spoke the girl patting Summer on the back and finding the position embarrassing.

"What? Of course not, don't be stupid." she frowned before seeing Summer slowly give a smile that would make a cheshire cat jealous.
"Oh ho, the great Raven Branwen is shy~" she sang with a giggle, making Raven narrow her eyes.
"I am NOT shy." she let out before sitting up and nudging Summer off her.
"Aw come on, I'll bet Taiyang would LOVE to see that side of you. Especially when we start our study session."

"I figured the best way to get you two together was by studying notes on a subject that would help liven the mood." she giggled, making Raven's eyes widen.

"Nope."
"And just how do you plan on that with Qrow in the room?"

"Sorry it took so long." Taiyang walked in while holding a book. "It was crazy trying to find it. Qrow somehow got Glynda to chase him and I got dragged into it, again, so then she thought I was in on it, but he wouldn't say what he did. Word of advice, stay clear of her and do NOT ask why her hair is colored green."
"I can think of several ideas." remarked Raven shaking her head, sitting on her bed with Summer a bit aways, both of them having a big spot right in between them while she shared a brief glance with said girl who nodded slightly. "Let's just try and get started on studying."
"I'll go ahead and send him notes later, I sent him a message about picking me up some snacks." Summer piped up.
"Oh, well if you want I could go ahead and grab something for the three of us." he offered with a smile.
"It's ok. Besides, my brother would just distract us." Raven interjected while nodding beside her. "Go ahead and take a seat."
"Don't mind if I do." he walked over, handing Summer her book, before sitting between the two girls, inwardly cheering and trying not to smile too much and come across as weird.
"We can just use my book." smiled Summer, who had removed her cape and hood to show more skin before opening the textbook.
Taiyang was given the book and opened it up to the bookmarked page, thanks to Summer, both girls having to lean over to read it, their knees touching his own with him blushing a little, but telling himself to keep it together. 'Focus on the book Tai, if Raven sees you blushing she'll get weirded out.'
But as soon as he saw the subject in the book was marked as Sex Ed, his blush turned brighter.
