Chapter 1

The sound of water, of being submerged deep in the darkness, felt revolting and isolated. She could see the many faces staring at her, inspecting her. They were speaking about her, but what they were saying was obstructed by the sound of the bubbles and machines around her. A capsule. She was inside a water tank, like an animal waiting to be dissected. Then she saw it. The emperor stared at her while her small hands tried to plead for her life. She was scared, terrified, of the many faces glaring at her.

Father! Please! I don't want it here! It's scary!

The girl could hear her own voice, while a mask allowing her to breathe muffled any sound of her begging. What are they doing with her? Why they are so mean? She was just angry about her sister hiding her toy. She did not intend to blow up the room. She was a good girl; she would not do it again.

Your majesty. It seems that no matter what we do, that strange energy of her would keep her alive. Whatever your daughter has inside her. It seems to fight the curse… but we do not know what it is. Or how the scar disables the child.

Will it kill her?

No, but it will incapacitate her for days, just as we see not too long ago. The pain, the lungs, and the heart. They will shut down. But it will not kill her. It is astonishing.

What about her power? How did it trigger it?

I don't know yet, your majesty. But it looks as if her power reacted to her emotions of anger and distress.

I see… good. The girls will not remember it. I want to know more about her power. If emotional distress is the key for her to use her power. Well, then do it.

Your majesty?

Distress her.

The girl looked down at her naked body. A child, she was. Then, in the scar on her chest, there were many tubes going in. It hurt, truly. Then, the pain came from those tubes. The electricity of sorts. Her body, her lungs, heart, all of her hurt. The suffering was pushing her to the edge. As she was screaming for help, for anyone. The girl gaped at her father, who only stared blankly at her, not showing emotion at all, at the torturing of his own child. Father, please! Please stop! I don't want this! I'm sorry! I will not do it again! She screamed as her body burned underwater. The many tubes and machines seemed to gather something coming from her. And while the girl yelled in anguish, the doctors only gasped.

Look at those numbers! What is that?!

Sir, we are detecting a strange reaction in her body. The scar… is burning. And… wait! What's happening?!

Around the laboratory, things were floating, and some were breaking. The more the child screamed in pain, the bigger the surrounding reaction. The machines, computers were shutting down, and the sudden pressure of the tank was reaching its peak.

Your majesty… we need to stop!

No, keep pushing.

But…!

The child screamed again, and it sounded painful and filled with rage. And before anyone could say anything. Golden eyes stared at them all.

They there are… those golden eyes again.

And soon, everything exploded, leaving nothing behind. But only a satisfying smile for the emperor. A smile she would remember, for all time. Even after she wakes up.

The sound of birds would be always one of the best ways for someone to stand up from bed. To enjoy the beauty of a peaceful morning. And a girl quickly did so, but she was breathing hard. A painful sound came from within her. She reached her medicament, and while groaning in pain she did what she always does, for the pain was only a annoying friend of hers. The coughing, the taste of blood, and medicine and the painful sting of the injection on her chest brought a bittersweet feeling of realization that the day was only starting. And staring at herself in the mirror, checking the pulsation on her scar, she could only sigh in annoyance.

"I could have used my ability, just like yesterday… but I guess, I got so used to waking up and take the medicine that I did it because of habit."

Lelouch whispered, groaning softly at the soreness of her body. The fact remained that she was still processing what took place yesterday. The feeling of just waking up from a long dream did not escape her at all. It felt unreal how she was suddenly in Yggdrasil, waiting for the end, wondering if it would also lead to the last day of her life. Only to be thrown into a different world, a different life. And to lose part of herself, and her memories until recently. It was all too convoluted for any person. Lelouch's mind was a mess, filled with different types of memories and troubles.

She was having a problem even understanding things out. And worst of it all. Lelouch wasn't capable of remembering everything. There were black spots in her mind. Lelouch could only remember insignificant memories of her past life. Both of her past lives, to be precise. Lelouch could recollect the last time she ate breakfast with Cornelia and Euphemia, but not how the rest of the day went. She couldn't remember the face of her mother, her first one, only her voice. Yet, she could recall in detail the last time Lelouch spoke with Marianne, her mother in this world.

It was a mess. And brought only pain to her head. A horrible headache.

"I need to sit down," Lelouch said, slowly finding the strength to rest.

"There is a lot I don't remember, things that are escaping my mind. But what was that dream? Was it even a dream? Or perhaps a memory?"

Lelouch said, while staring at herself in the mirror, ignoring her naked body and only focusing on her scar. The strange symbol, and the dreams, and lack of memories. Lelouch also recalled the events of yesterday, and how she felt differently at those moments. More in control, capable and confident. Lelouch saw her hair. It went back to the usual wavier black hair and her eyes turned into deep violet colour. Lelouch wondered if she could change it back. It seemed something easy to do. She just needed to focus on herself. Well, how her character looked like before. Lelouch did just that. She closed her eyes, and imagine how her character back in Yggdrasil looked like. Then, felt as if she was using a spell.

Ah, well, this is strange. Very strange.

She thought, and opening her eyes, and saw golden eyes and the snowy-white hair. "Mm, well, I least I know how does it works now. Yet, what does it feel like, a spell? Or, well, as if I am using an ability. Mm, there is a lot I don't know."

Lelouch said, as she touched her face, staring at the mirror pondering the implications of what happened. "I need to figure things out before anything," she whispered, as soon enough the alarm clock sounded, making her jump and squeal a little.

She turned and saw the hour and cursed. "Argh, yeah… I forgot. School."

There would be a time for her to think about her next move, but for now. She must not raise any suspicion. And with that said, Lelouch took a quick shower, put on her uniform and took her stuff, and moved out. Hopefully, nothing would take her by surprise anymore.

"Lelouch! You oversleep again! You missed two periods in the morning!"

Lelouch let a small hip sound, like a hamster as a girl with long blonde hair, fair skin, curvy figure, and blue eyes hit her with a rolled newspaper.

"Sorry, Milly," Lelouch whined while caressing her hair. "You don't have to beat me up about it," she said softly, using her cute eyes to ensnare her friend, who only puffed her cheeks.

"Those cute eyes won't work on me, my dear Lelouch!" Milly replied.

"It's punishment for ditching me before!" Rivalz said.

"I apologize already," Lelouch said with a groan.

"Exactly. We were really worried about you yesterday, you know? You vanished. What were you up to yesterday?" Shirley asked.

"I got lost, only that. But I could find my way back, that's all."

Lelouch replied easily, remembering that Britannia has kept on a tight knot the events of yesterday. No one knew what had happened in the ghetto, and the many civilians killed left and right. Lelouch sighed, remembering Clovis' death. She wondered why she felt so guilty, but righteous. Perhaps it was Clovis' own actions that made her resolution to kill him. Lelouch wanted to bring the right people to Japan, and for that, she needed a big bait. Yet, Lelouch also knew how the massacre that Clovis ordered was one of the main reasons she killed him.

If Clovis hadn't ordered such a thing, Lelouch would have spared him in some way. But well, it was done. There was no reason to bother thinking about him now.

"Alright, alright. It doesn't matter now! We had a lot of work to do!" Milly exclaimed. "If we don't review the club activity budget now, there won't be a budget for anything, will there?"

"And if that happens… "Nina, the soft and quiet girl, whispered.

"The horseback riding club will be pissed off at us! They'll come busting in here again!" Rivalz added.

Milly creaked, remembering the last time the horse club barged into the student council room.

"Rivalz, can't you take being a student council member more seriously?" Milly asked, nervous as she saw a horse rider passing through the window.

"You should have reminded us about the deadline a day earlier, not now!" Shirley said.

"I'd have preferred a day later. Then we'd have given up already," Rivalz teased back.

"Good idea. It would allow me to play BattleMecha a lot more," Lelouch whispered.

"Guts!" Milly yelled, causing everyone to shiver under the powerful voice of the student council president.

"Uh, again shouting that magical spell?" Rivalz asked with a nervous smile.

"Yup! Don't you all want to work even harder now?" Milly said with a big smile.

"Ah, no… perhaps you used it wrong, because it only gave me hunger," Lelouch said, smiling.

"President! I'll pretend it's working on me!" Shirley said with the same beautiful, smiling face of hers. Milly's smile, however, wasn't so pure. As the president only smirked at the young woman before her. Lelouch often wondered if the blonde-haired girl was a secret pervert of sorts. She wouldn't be surprised.

"Good! Sound body leads to a sound mind!" Milly said, smirking brightly.

"Well, I train a lot, you see!" Shirley exclaimed.

"Well, I wasn't talking about that," Milly said, making Shirley confused.

"You're impressive. I checked you out lately in the girl's bathroom. You're filling out nicely on the top and bottom, aren't you?" the pervert president said with a sultry tone, while Rivalz only whistle at those words, making Shirley cringe.

"Wh-what are you talking about, you pervert?!" Shirley exclaimed.

"Mm, well, not as nice as my dear, Lelouch, she does fill everything, really, really well!"

"Indeed, I do fill the top and bottom really well. Although, I do believe my bottom has grown wider again," Lelouch only replied, while earning a baffled look on Shirley's face.

"Lulu!" Shirley only yelled, embarrassed by those words.

"If you want, I could help you measure your sizes again, mm? What do you say?" Milly asked with a very big, smirking face.

"Oh, really? Thank you, Milly, but please… don't be so rough again, it would leave me sore," Lelouch softly said, with an embarrassed tone.

"My dear Lulu, you know I will always take good care of you. Don't worry, I will bring the lotions you loved so much, and I will give you a soft massage after we are done," Milly said while winking at Lelouch.

"What are you two talking about?!" Shirley only exclaimed while Lelouch and Milly only laughed.

The rest of the meeting went as normally as it could with the type of people who were part of the student council. And while, Lelouch had a good time, just pretending to be a normal teenage girl. She often wondered how life would have been if she had never remembered who she was and where she came from. It was certainly something to think about. Lelouch would admit, her life in the normal world wasn't as bad as she thought. It was monotonous, yes, but peaceful. If you ignored everything around the world, of course. Still, Lelouch understood it. Who didn't want a tranquil life? She would surely love it. But now things have changed for her.

I can see how I became friends with them. They are fun to be around. If only things were different.

Lelouch sighed while taking her time to walk slowly next to Shirley, Nina, and Rivalz. She coughed a bit, but not enough to get attention from her friends.

"I swear! The president is a dirty old man on the inside!" Shirley said with a blush on her face as she devoured her sandwich. "Just bending the conversation to her advantage like that!"

"Milly's always been like that, though," Nina whispered.

"But then, Lulu just followed the pervert president! And both then talk about… lewd things!" Shirley said with a blush on her face.

"Hey, are you calling me pervert?" Lelouch replied.

"Well, you do then to add more to Milly games," Rivalz added with a smile.

"It's fun. Besides, I was speaking the truth about my bottom," Lelouch said nonchalantly.

"See?!" Shirley hissed.

"Alright, Shirley, I will let you take measurements of my body next time," Lelouch teased.

"Wh-what?! No! I am not… well, if you want… Wait! No! I am not talking about that!" Shirley said red from the face down.

Lelouch only shook her head at the amusement before her. It was rather funny, just to joke around, but she would lie if she says that Shirley wasn't attractive. Or Milly, for that matter, although she knows that Milly did not really swing that way. Besides, the joking and teasing. Milly was just a secret ally of hers. The only person in the school who knew about her status as an exiled princess. And helped her get the medicine she needed. Funnily enough, the massage and potion weren't really a lie. It was not as Shirley thought. It was mostly that those lotions helped with the irritation on her scar, and the massage helps when Lelouch was face down, coughing her lungs out, while Milly stroked her back.

"Shirley, your face," Nina said.

"Well, we've finished the budget plan right on time, so let's not complain about anything else," Rivalz said, as soon enough, they reached their classroom.

"The terrorist used poison gas?!"

A voice came from the room when everyone was paying attention to the news from the many screens. The group stared, puzzled, at what was happening, except for Lelouch. She gazed at the reports of what happened yesterday.

"That's scary! Shinjuku's only 30 minutes away from here! What are those Eleven thinking?! Using things like that!"

"I saw it! There was smoke rising from the direction of Shinjuku! That must have been the poison gas!"

"Shinjuku?" Shirley asked, worried.

"I phoned you about it yesterday, don't you remember? That's why I took a long time reaching here," Lelouch said quickly.

"Hey look! There are photos about death Elevens!"

"Don't look at them!"

Lelouch wondered why there haven't been reports of the death of Clovis yet. It would surely be big news. The death of a prince was always big news. That's why Lelouch couldn't comprehend why they were dragging such a thing. What could be the point of it? Lelouch wasn't sure, but it was only a matter of time before the entire world discovered it. And when it does, the people would want answers, and the one responsible for it. That's how Britannia operates. They always wanted to prove to the people that they would find the responsible for it.

But what if they don't?

Lelouch was worried about what they would do then.

Villetta Nu stared at the nothingness, as she saw the buildings go by. Her mind was riddled with questions she had no answer for, and a strange feeling that she must search for something. Or someone.

"That ex-bureaucrat's response is mediocre at best."

Villetta turned to where the voice came from. "You mean Gen. Bartley?" She replied to her superior, Jeremiah Gottwald.

"That murderer broke into high-security areas twice. Such a perfunctory inspection won't find him. It's stupid to think it would."

Villetta nodded, albeit reluctantly, since her mind was still focused on one thing. Yet, she just continues to pay attention to what Jeremiah was saying. It wasn't much, Villetta had nothing to add, but she agreed that something bigger was going on.

"Jeremiah, sir. Now that prince Clovis is dead. We purebloods have no reason to keep going," she said, earning a soft chuckle from Jeremiah.

"I'll give the directions, don't worry. Wait till I've gotten everyone on our side. Until then, wait for my command."

Villetta sighed, but agreed. That was their best course of action. Yet, there was something she had to do. A mission lingering deep inside her mind and soul.

"Jeremiah, sir. You were a guard at the Aries Palace?" Villetta asked, surprising Jeremiah for a second. Yet, the man was able to regain his senses, and a proud smile appeared on his face. The memories of his youth came to him, as he felt that not many could understand his true loyalties.

"I was, yes. A freshly graduated from the Imperial Colchester institute. I had the privilege to serve under empress Marianne, for a short amount of time… a short amount of time," Jeremiah only whispered, as Villetta was able to notice the complex expression on his face. Guilty, anger, revenge, and hope. Villetta wondered what was the drive of Jeremiah to push the Elevens down, what was his actual motivation. Still, she wanted to know something more important. He must have known the princess, then. Villetta thought.

"Did you know princes Lelouch?" Villetta asked

Jeremiah only stared at the window for a long minute before speaking. "Yes, I did… as many of the guards at the palace for that matter."

"What do you mean?" Villetta asked, confused.

"Princess Lelouch was a… star, a bright light. Wherever she went, everyone just couldn't stop looking at her. There was something around her that just draw people in. They adored her, just like her mother and younger sister, princess Nunnally."

"Really?" Villetta said, surprised by those words.

"Yes, there were many princesses around, but there was no one like her. Princess Cornelia and princes Euphemia were also very close to her. I do believe, princess Cornelia took it upon herself to take care of both Nunnally and Lelouch, just like Euphemia. Especially when empress Marianne was killed…"

Jeremiah's voice sounded empty, filled with guilt. "Princess Lelouch was very sick, most of the times. I only knew what I heard around, but it seems that she had a heart defect. Or something that put her in bed a lot of times. She was very weak, yet she was still filled with joy. When she was exiled… things in the palace changed. And when news came that both, princess Lelouch and Nunnally were killed. It broke a lot of people's hearts."

Villetta stared down. "Why was she exiled?"

Jeremiah only sighed, still wondering why did the emperor exiled his daugther.

"I don't know. No one knows, really. One day, she was shipped away, never to be seen. I failed them… I failed empress Marianne, I failed to protect the princess, and now I have failed to protect prince Clovis. What a failure of a knight," Jeremiah whispered, with a painful chuckle of shame.

Villetta spoke no more, but something deep inside was telling her that the princess was still alive. And she must find her.

Lelouch coughed hard as she walked to the classroom. It seemed as if her lungs were just annoying her at that point, yet there was no need for her medicine or her spells. But then, she saw a red-haired girl sitting in the classroom, while some students were thrilled to see her again.

"Kallen! It's been ages! Are you okay?"

"Sophie's been worried about you a lot. Like all of us."

"You're okay, now?"

"Yes, although, I can't strain myself a lot," Kallen said, with the most polite, calm voice Lelouch has heard in a while. Yet, it also sounded forced. The red-haired girl smiled politely at the girls around her and Lelouch wondered if anything else was going to surprise her today.

I knew it; she is the same girl as before. I will never forget an attractive girl when I see one. The body shape, and gestures, all of it. Maybe I am indeed a pervert. But the questions remain. What is she doing here? Lelouch thought as she sat down.

"After all, if I take too much time off, I'll never be able to keep up with everyone."

The voice, although calmer, was the same one. It was rather amusing to hear it like that. Since the last time, the girl named Kallen was shouting her lungs out at every turn. Why is she with the rebels?

Lelouch would keep an eye on the girl for the rest of the day. There has to be an opportunity to see what else was the girl hiding. And Lelouch did watch Kallen for the entire day. She could see that while Kallen takes days off from school, she was still one of the best students in the class. So, Lelouch wondered why a girl with a noble family name behind her back, and a clear and easy future ahead of her, would put her life at risk by joining the rebels. What could she possibly earn from it? And yet, there more Lelouch thought about the girl. The more intrigued she became.

Lelouch decided the best way to know the girl was to speak to her. Lelouch was still trying to understand more of the Geass on her, and at the same time, she was wary of using it too much. She did not trust the power of the being that put her in the condition she was right now.

So, when there was a break, Lelouch sneak to the courtyard where she saw Kallen with the group of girls talking with each other. Then, surprise, a bee attacked the group. It was amusing, watching the red-haired girl fake running like a noble girl. Only to hide behind some bush with an annoyed look on her face.

"Ah! This pisses me off! I wish I didn't have to act like a freaking invalid all the time!" Kallen exclaimed, annoyed, while she took a huge bite off her sandwich.

Now that's what I like. A strong and very attractive voice, coming from a girl who doesn't like to be a princess. Although, I do like her with spike hair more. Her rebellious look suits her better. Lelouch thought with a smirk on her face, but soon enough. She changed her expression to one of shock and innocence as Kallen was now staring at her, surprised to see her so close to her.

"C-can I help you?" Kallen asked, completely taken aback by Lelouch's presence there.

Lelouch looked down and acted as she was blushing deeply. She knew about her beauty and her natural aura that people would find it hard to say no to her. She believed that now, that her memories and part of her power were unlocked, that aura was even stronger.

Lelouch was simply the most gorgeous girl in school by miles. It was simple as that and, adding to her allure, men and women were just charmed by her. Sometimes, you don't even need an ability or Geass to make people follow you. You just need pure charisma.

"Ah, um, I just… I just wanted to say, that I like you… and if you wanted… if you would like to go on a date with me!" Lelouch stuttered on purpose, blushing deeply. Kallen swallowed her sandwich in sheer shock. And for a few minutes, the poor girl was coughing hard, almost choking herself with her food. Lelouch had an amused look on her face. She was having a blast with the reaction of the girl.

What a cute reaction. Lelouch though, and while her face was showing an expression of ingenuousness and embarrassment, like a schoolgirl would, deep inside she was smirking brightly. "Uh! Please take this! I am sorry, I didn't want to surprise you!" Lelouch said, faking surprised.

Kallen did not want to be killed by a sandwich, so she took a sip of the girl's water bottle

"W-what?!" Kallen only exclaimed loudly, still not believing what she just heard.

"That, I like you! And I would love to go on a date with you!"

"EHHH!?"

Now, that's a very Japanese reaction. I wonder, perhaps… um, yeah. That would make sense. A noble lord would normally have a mistress. It's nothing out of ordinary. Kallen Stadtfeld, daughter of Lord Stadtfeld, but not from Lady Stadtfeld. I see now; it makes sense. Lelouch thought, as she still kept her face blushing, and nervous.

A girl living in both worlds, trying to fight for one while living in the other. Well, I guess we do share something in common.

"I… I find you beautiful! You don't find me attractive?" Lelouch whispered, with an almost sobbing voice. She was asking questions that people would have a hard time deflecting. Only giving her more time to snare them naturally. And it worked, since Kallen, who was still in shock, was baffled by it.

Kallen wasn't blind. She knew who the girl was. Even though she doesn't come to school as often; she knew who Lelouch Lamperouge was, everyone knew who the girl was. The most beautiful girl in school, the most popular and adored student. Kallen couldn't deny that she did find Lelouch attractive. How couldn't she? The girl was a piece of art, with those curves, those eyes, and a perfect face. The long dark hair, and those kissable lips. It made Kallen blush. Yet, she was still completely perplexed by the sudden invitation.

"I mean! Yes, you are… very beautiful! But I don't know you! And… and," Kallen was lost. She was out of her area of expertise. She knew the inside out of a Knightmare Frame, the fight and ability to take hard decisions. But school life? Dating? She has put all those things aside in her life. She wasn't bothering to even think about it. Only one thing surrounded Kallen's life, and it was her fight against Britannia and nothing more.

Did she even like girls? Kallen wasn't sure, but then again, she never truly had feelings for men either. Kallen had put those thoughts away because a part of her was truly ready to die if the time came. That's why she was completely taken by surprise by the girl in front of her.

Kallen wasn't capable of speaking, only stuttering some words, but none made sense.

"Ah, uh… but, you… are and I am," Kallen said, or tried to speak.

Lelouch tilted her head, as she was enjoying the reaction of the girl. There was a lot she wanted to do and ask. But the sudden voice of Shirley stopped her.

"Lulu! Kallen! The next class is about to begging! We have to go to the science prep room next!" Shirley yelled from the window of the second floor.

"Eii! I've got to set up the experiment equipment!" Lelouch squealed cutely and faked shock. She spun around and smiled shily. She bowed gently and left.

Now, why don't you amuse me a bit more, my dear Bunny?

After an afternoon of amusement, Lelouch went back to her house. The building in school that was her house, to be more specific. There was a lot to think about, and to research. Also, she wanted to see someone special to her.

"Sorry, I'm so late," Lelouch said.

"Welcome home, big sister!" Nunnally said with the purest smile Lelouch has seen.

"Welcome home, my lady," A Japanese maid replied respectfully.

"I'm home, Nunnally, Sayako."

The idea that she had a younger sister was a rather pleasant one. Of all things that she could have in that new life of hers. Lelouch would have never thought that having a sister would be one of the best things that ever happened to her. Lelouch feelings for Nunnally weren't fabricated, or just a nuisance. Lelouch truly loved her sister. There was a person who looked up to her, who cherished her and loved her, wanting nothing in return but to be with her. How could anyone reproach such a pure feeling of love?

Even in her current state, Nunnally doesn't blame me for it. She does not hate me for being the reason of our exile. She is truly a kind soul. She just wants to be with her big sister. Lelouch thought, while Sayako was serving them dinner.

"Miss Sayako was just teaching me about Origami! It is so fun! When you fold a piece of paper repeatedly, you can make birds and boats and all sorts of things!" The young girl exclaimed, marveled at the simplest things.

Yet, Nunnally was speaking too fast for her the types of bite of food she took. Lelouch chuckled as she took a napkin and slowly cleaned her sister's mouth.

"You really don't have to talk so fast!" Lelouch giggled.

I wonder if this is what Bukubukuchagama felt while having Peroroncino as a brother? Well, comparing Nunnally to him would be an awful thing to do! Nunnally has nothing in common with that pervert! My little sister is cute and loves Oreo cheesecake as well! And Peroroncino liked mustard with his hamburger, like ew! Who likes mustard?!

"Thank you, big sister," Nunnally replied, smiling softly.

"You're welcome! Now, would you like a piece of Oreo cheesecake?" Lelouch whispered, making Nunnally gasp.

"Can I?! Sayako said we can't eat cheesecake all the time! She said you're getting fat!"

"Now that's rude! But don't worry, just stay there and be cute! I will put on my cute face too! Sayako can't say no to us!"

Nunnally giggled at her sister's dramatic voice. Lelouch only smiled at her, and from what she could suspect. A geass caused the blindness of her sister, but not a normal one. Yet, it didn't change the fact it made her furious. For a brief moment, she just wanted to have her hands around her father's neck. Lelouch would take her time killing him, and she would enjoy every second of it.

"Sister," Nunnally brought Lelouch attention as she held an Origami figure. "They say if you made a thousand of these birds, your wish will become real!"

"A thousand?" Lelouch replied. "And well, what kind of wish you want to become true?" She asked, softly.

Nunnally seemed to think for a bit. "I want the world to be a gentle place. So, I can be with my sister without being afraid!"

Lelouch smiled sadly. Perhaps it was because of her past life. But a gentler world does not exist. Or at least, it wasn't one she has ever experienced. Lelouch was a bitter person. The dreams of a world filled with love and care wasn't one she believed would ever exist. Yet, she couldn't say that to her sister. Nunnally had the right to sleep, dreaming of such a wonderful world. To have her dreams filled with only the purest thoughts. Not like Lelouch, never like her.

Our lives are currently in a tight spot. Milly families support us now. But for how long? If our identity is revealed… I will not allow any harm fall upon Nunnally, even if I have to burn this world.

But then, Lelouch was hit with an idea. Wait… that woman, the knight I used the Geass on. If I could… mm, yeah. I think I know what to do. I don't have to worry about our identities being revealed, if I myself revealed to the right people. There are a lot of people who were loyal to my mother and would support me. Yeah… I think I know exactly what to do. But I still need time.

"Do you think is possible?" Nunnally asked, bringing Lelouch from her mind. "For a world to be like that?"

And even thought, Nunnally couldn't see, Lelouch forced a smile. "It does… you only need to believe."

"You promise?" Nunnally asked.

"I do."

Lelouch took Nunnally hand. I don't think I can make a gentler world, Nunnally, but I will give my all to at least make a world where you can live in peace, and happy. She thought, while Nunnally took her hand, bringing their pinkies, making Lelouch smile at the gesture she knew it to well.

"Sayako taught me this before, this is how Japanese make a promise!" Nunnally said, and while she started to sing, Nunnally was surprised by how her big sister sang alone with her.

"Did you know it too?" Nunnally asked happily.

"Yeah… I learned it… from someone a while ago," Lelouch said. "But now, I hope I don't have to eat a thousand needless someday!"

"Uh-huh! So, you'd better not to be lying! Although, I honestly think, you'll eat those needless if they were made out of food."

"Are you calling me a liar, and fat too?" Lelouch replied, with an amused tone in her voice.

"Never a liar…! Just a bit… chubby!"

"Oh, you little!" Lelouch roared as she tickled Nunnally, who couldn't help but laugh loudly. "I am not fact! I am thick!"

Nunnally was squealing as she was almost having a hard time breathing by the relentless tickle attack from her sister. "Did you surrender?!" Lelouch said, as Nunnally was breathing hard.

"I do!"

"Who is the prettiest girl in school?" Lelouch asked with a funny, arrogant smile.

"You… you are!"

"That's right! Now let's both take a bath before we go to bed," Lelouch said, as she took her sister to the bathroom.

"Okay, but… would you read The One Pirate Treasure? We left in chapter 43 last time; I want to know what happen to captain Lucy."

"Of course."

Lelouch said, as the night came down. There was a lot to think about, and work but tonight. Her sister was her principal focus.

Lelouch was waiting near a river bank in the school as she stared at the reflection in the peaceful water. She could see the Geass, and wondered how much could she depend on it. It was one of her tools, and she wanted to know how to use it properly. She would use Yggdrasil magic, when necessary, although she wanted to know how much and what tier of magic she could use before her body shut down. Lelouch couldn't ignore the pain of her scar, lungs, and heart. And while she could use an easy [Rejuvenation] to ease her discomfort. The question remained. How much is much?

"Could it be that if I use a higher tier ability, not even [Rejuvenation] could work? I mean, I don't know yet. I also don't know how many spells I can even use at the same time or what tier. Well, [Arcane Shield] was not a problem, so far. Mm, I need a place where I can practice."

Lelouch whispered. As soon enough, she saw a teacher walking near her. "Oi, Lelouch, you need to go to classes now. They will start soon!"

"Of course, professor! But before that… Sir, could you please tell me what questions will be on your essay exam?" Lelouch asked, while using her geass.

"They'll cover the Humiliation of Edinburgh, the Transfer of the Capitol of the New World and the North-South war."

Lelouch nodded at how the teacher was standing there just looking at her. Then she deactivated it, then activated it again. "Sir, could you please tell me what questions will be on our essay exam?"

"Uh, I can't really tell you that… but, perhaps… it will cover the Humiliation of Edinburgh, the transfer of Capitol of the New World and the North-South war."

Lelouch tilted her head, as she saw how the teacher was still under the influence of the geass. Then, again, Lelouch repeated the process of activating her geass and deactivated it. Four times, she did that. And each time, she noticed how the professor would do as he told but with more resistance. Yet, he would do it. The effect of the Geass diminishes each time. But the order lingers more. Uh, this is surprising.

"Professor, could tell me what questions will be on your essay exam?" Lelouch asked one more time.

"Quit joking around and study seriously!" The professor said while walking away, yet he stopped and groaned. "Alright! Just study about the Humiliation of Edinburgh! That's all I will say! And only because is you!"

"Thank you! Professor!" Lelouch said, waving away the teacher.

Well, that was an interesting experiment. She thought. Could it be that my racial traits as a Demon Empress had anything to do with the effect of the geass? Or perhaps it had something to do with my allure and aura?

Lelouch wondered, yet she couldn't just blindly trust that ability. There were a lot of things she must investigate first.

And while Lelouch was pondering about her next move, in the academy's roof, Kallen was talking on her phone. She looked bored and highly anxious.

"So, how's life at your dear old school?" Ohgi's voice came through the phone as Kallen sighed.

"Stifling, as usual. I had a history class yesterday. It was so boring. Hey, Ohgi, maybe I should head back to you."

"The army's on high alert right now. Stay there and let things cool down for a bit. Don't worry about us, we are just keeping a low profile."

"But what about the voice on the radio? Have you heard anything since then?" Kallen asked.

"You can't go looking for a voice, besides… Naoto would be happy that you're a student again. Forget about what happened in Shinjuku for now. Don't worry yourself about it."

Kallen exhaled deeply, as she wondered if she should just do that. Relax for a bit and gather her energy for what would come. But then, as she stared down at the courtyard, Kallen saw a certain girl walking to the building. Kallen just let a small squeal as she dodges the stare of the girl with violet eyes.

"Eh? Kallen, what is it? Are you alright?" Ohgi asked, surprised by the sudden yelp of Kallen.

"Ohgi! I am in trouble!" Kallen whispered all dramatically.

"What?! What do you mean you're in trouble?!" Ohgi asked, worried about someone discovering Kallen's identity, yet it wasn't really that.

"A… A girl! A girl confessed her love to me!" Kallen hissed, blushing deeply.

"Ah, uh… uhm, okay?" Ohgi said with a confused face.

"What do I do?!" Kallen asked anxiously.

"Uh, do… do you like this girl? I mean, I don't have a problem if you do! I know Naoto wouldn't care less about that!"

"That's not what I am talking about! What do I do?!" Kallen whispered, as she stood up quietly, wondering if the girl was still there. And she was, Kallen saw, how the girl with long black hair and violet eyes seemed to talk with some boys. They all seemed to want to speak with her privately, but Lelouch was only shrugging it off like nothing. Yet, for Kallen, such a scene brought a bit of jealousy to her.

Wait, what?! I am jealous?! What?! I don't even know her! Kallen wailed in her mind, as she couldn't stop staring at the girl, no matter how much she tried.

"Ah, well, I honestly don't know… perhaps talk to her?"

"She invites me to a date! What do I do?!"

"Go out with her?" Ohgi replied, baffled by the outburst of Kallen.

"I can't go out with her! I… maybe? I don't know?"

"Is she ugly or something?"

"No! She is gorgeous!" Kallen moaned as she almost hit her head on the floor.

"Hm, why don't you just go out with her? Try to see what happens?"

"Are you serious, Ohgi?" Kallen asked genuinely, as Ohgi sighed deeply.

"Kallen, you have been giving your youth to the movement. None of us know if we will make it another day. Naoto did no wanted that life for you. He wanted for you to be free and live happily. Try to just live for a moment, will you? Things are going to be quiet for a while. Just enjoy being a teenager. Go out, eat, have fun… you'll never know what can happen if you don't take the chance to be selfish for a bit. Look, just think about it, alright? I'll contact you again later."

Kallen exhaled deeply as she closed her phone. She whined a bit, wondering why life turned out to be so confusing sometimes. "Piloting a Glasgow and fighting Britannia is a lot easier than this." Kallen moaned, while walking back to classes, where that girl was going to be there.

The rest of day came by, and Kallen was trying her hardest to try to think carefully about what she would say to that girl. Yet, there was something strange. The voice sounds familiar… well; I don't know. Just, feels weird. Kallen thought, while peeking over her shoulder during class. Kallen saw the girl, sneaking a chocolate bar under her sleeve and eating it right away. Wait, is she eating during classes? Kallen thought, baffled by how quick the girl could swallow large bites of chocolate.

Kallen, for the rest of the class, saw how the girl was defiantly not what she thought. Besides the obvious, of course. There was no denying how smart she was. The way she would answer the questions without missing a beat. And give excellent explanations about her reasoning, made Kallen realized that Lelouch wasn't just another smart person. Yet, there were other moments when that girl with violet eyes would pull out her cell phone and start playing video games in the middle of an essay. Kallen even giggled quietly when she saw Lelouch making faces while playing.

Not at all what I thought of her. Kallen sighed, still thinking of Ohgi's words.

Yet, the time came for her reply.

At the end of the classes, Lelouch stood up and walked to her. Kallen wasn't sure of why she felt so anxious. Not even before a Britannian Knightmare Frame she felt like that.

"Uh, ah… Kallen, can we speak privately?" Lelouch whispered softly, bringing the attention of the other people in the classroom.

"Yes, of course we can."

Kallen felt that she just took the longest walked in her life. Yet, she couldn't take away her eyes from Lelouch hips and legs. What am I doing?! Where am I looking?! Kallen wailed in her mind, while trying to keep composure.

"Sorry for bringing you all the way here, but this is the only place I could think of," Lelouch said.

Kallen stared at the inside of the building and was amazed by how big it was. "I never knew there was a place like this in the school ground," Kallen said.

"It's the student council club house. It was built large enough to host a formal dance. But is big enough for my sister and me. This is our home."

"Home?" Kallen asked.

"Ah, it's complicated it."

"I see, so we won't be disturbed in here?" Kallen asked.

Kallen took a deep breath, and while staring at those lovely violet eyes, she prepared herself for what was about to come. "Look, I think it would be nice if first we- "Before Kallen was about to say anything else, she was stopped by the shouting of a girl on the second floor.

"There it is!" Shirley yelled. "Found it! Found it! Look, it's this, right?"

"Ah! That's it! The experiment data I was looking for," Nina said, relieved.

"Oh, man… my back hurts now," Rivalz said.

"Did you find it?" Milly said, while bringing a lot of food.

Where are they all coming from?! Kallen thought, dismayed by the presence of them.

"I'm through on my end, so why don't we start eating!" Milly said, while everyone seemed to rejoice in the amount of food the president brought. Kallen wanted nothing more but to jump out of the window.

"Whoa! Amazing!" Rivalz said.

"Way to go, Milly!" Shirley added.

"Uh, Milly, really, right now?" Lelouch asked, with a groan. She was about to have fun. And that bimbo ruined it.

"Didn't you bring her here because you knew?" Milly asked with a big grin on her face.

"Knew what?" Kallen asked, confused.

"It's because we're letting Kallen into the student council. My grandfather asked us to."

"Ah, of course he would," Lelouch replied.

"Of course! He says it would be hard for her to participate in regular club activities because of her health problems, just like you. So, having her with us would allow her to gather some points so she would not have problems in the near future with the diploma and all of that."

Kallen has never be blinsided as much as she was that week. She just couldn't understand what was going on. But she did pay attention to what the blond-haired girl said about Lelouch health problems. Is she sick? Kallen thought, while looking at Lelouch.

"Oh! I'm Milly, the council president. How do you do?" Milly said.

"Ah! Please to meet you!" Kallen said.

"I'm Rivalz, the secretary! If there anything you need, please tell me!"

"I'm Shirley, and I'm also in the swim club, please to meet you!"

"And I'm… Nina."

Kallen just nodded to all of them and felt out of place by how they all seemed to present themselves. Like they were long-time friends or something. Yet, there was some else who arrived not too long after. The sound of an electric wheelchair, and the small body of a girl made Kallen remain silence.

"Um, excuse me, Shirley, but could you put these on the table for me? Try to not give my sister one yet," Nunnally said.

"Hey, I am here," Lelouch puffed.

"Alright, thank you for bringing them, Nunna!" Shirley said, smiling.

"She is Lelouch, younger sister," Milly said softly.

"I'm in the middle school group, so I'm not in the student council yet," Nunnally said.

"That's okay. You're an associate member, remember? You're free to join us any time you want, besides you're the only one who can stop Lelouch from eating all the food," Rivalz said.

"That's right!" Nina said, while earning another huff from Lelouch, who only smiled at the reception. Yet Kallen couldn't take her eyes off the small girl. And Lelouch, while pretending to be the usual self, was watching it closely.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kallen!" Nunnally said.

"It's a pleasure for me, too," Kallen said with a gentle face and a genuine voice. And lucky for her, Lelouch only gave a brief nodded.

"What were you doing here, Lelouch?" Milly asked, bringing the attention of everyone else. Lelouch smirked internally, deciding to have her fun now. And it seemed as Kallen saw it right away and tried to just say something before Lelouch did.

"Uh, well… I just… confessed my feelings for Kallen, and asked her to a date."

A glass fell to the ground, while everyone stared at both of them. Kallen's face went red, while the rest of the members of the student council had a shock face. Even Milly seemed to be surprised by those words.

"Wh-what-what?!" Shirley exclaimed.

"How did it happen?! What?!" Milly shouted.

"I… I am so happy for both of you," Nina said with a proud voice.

"Whoah, it seems that… I lost the bet," Rivalz whispered.

"Wait! Wait! I did not accept! Well, not yet! We were just talking!" Kallen tried to do some damage control.

"But you're both going on a date, right?" Milly said in her usual teasing voice.

"Well! Not yet?"

"You aren't denying it, eh? Uh! You're a lucky girl!" Milly exclaimed. "And I am so happy for you, Lelouch! You've hit the jackpot with a redhead!"

"Thank you, Milly!" Lelouch said, enjoying the complete blushing face of Kallen. She was having more fun than she thought.

"Lelouch and Kallen are dating now…?" Shirley whispered, disappointed for a reason. Or perhaps, broken heart. Who knows?

"Please, let me explain!" Kallen tried one more time, before Nunnally approached her. Lelouch little sister took Kallen's hand and smiled.

"Please take care of my sister," Nunnally bowed gently, as Kallen was completely astonished by everything.

"Okay, then! I have saved this beauty for a moment like this! Let's celebrate the new couple!" Rivalz said, and everyone saw an expensive bottle of champagne.

"Champagne!"

"But, student council-members can't drink!" Nina said.

"Oh, loosen up, you guys!"

"We're not allowed to drink that!" Shirley exclaimed while trying to take the champagne bottle out of Rivalz's hand.

"Ah! Lelouch, catch this!"

Lelouch groaned at the sight of a flying champagne bottle flying towards her. Of course, she catches it, but it was still such an annoyance. She doesn't even drink.

"Oh, for heaven's sake! Lelouch give it back! We can't drink!"

Lelouch was about to give it back, but Shirley stumbled forwards and pushed Lelouch to the ground, and well, opening a champagne bottle was never so easy. The screw cap flew over Kallen's direction, and the red-haired girl reacted accordingly. She blocked it easily enough. Kallen, you need to learn how to keep a low profile. Lelouch mused. And while Kallen evaded the champagne first attack. The second one took the red-haired girl by surprise. The liquid rained on her head.

"Ah, I didn't know it could reach that far," Lelouch whispered, hiding the amusement the view gave her.

Kallen was taking a well-needed shower. The stench of the alcohol brought sickness to her. But she was also a bit tired of the entire ordeal.

"That's why I hate Britannians, for crying out loud… they didn't even let me speak!" Kallen huffed, annoyed too she couldn't answer the girl's feelings too.

"It was she was teasing and having fun with me," Kallen whispered.

"Uh, Kallen, it's me, Lelouch, I brought some clothes for you."

"Yo-you can come in. The shower curtains are closed," Kallen said, trying to sound sure of herself.

Lelouch entered the room and saw the shadow of Kallen's body through the curtains. Nice. She thought while leaving the clothes on a chair. "Sorry, they can be a little too lively sometimes."

"Nah, it's not bad to just have a little fun once in a while," Kallen said, remembering Ohgi's words.

"Alright, ah, you don't mind changing into some of my clothes for now? I've been told I have big hips," Lelouch said softly.

"Don't worry about it... and I know about those hips." Kallen whispered the last part.

"Did you say something?"

"Ah, no! Don't worry!" Kallen replied quickly.

"That was fast. So, you truly live here?" Kallen asked, trying to defuce the silence in the room.

"My sister can't afford to live in the normal girls' dormitories. It'd be too hard for her. So, the school principal let's us live here as a favor."

"I see."

There were a few minutes of silence, and both of them heard only the shower noises. "Lelouch, look… I appreciate your feelings for me… But I don't know you, yet. And I don't know if I am ready for a relationship now. But, I would… like to go on a date with you. You know, just both of us… to know each other better."

Kallen replied softly. She couldn't see Lelouch reaction, but Kallen hoped it wouldn't lead to a crying girl.

"That's okay. That's what the date is for, right? To know each other… I expected nothing more of you. I truly like you. That's why I am fine with just starting like this."

Kallen felt shivers running through her body. That voice sounded so soft and intimate. It made her feel butterflies.

"Alright, then… um, when do we go out?" Kallen asked nervously.

"Um, I will leave it to you. Whenever you want."

Kallen smiled. Perhaps it won't be that bad. Kallen thought, while suddenly the telephone rang.

"Oh, who could it be?" Lelouch whispered. "Hello? Ashford Academy student council? No, I'm… ah, well… she is here. Kallen, is for you."

Kallen frowned as she slowly took the phone. "Hello?" She answered.

"Why, hello there, my bunny? Glad to see you in one piece."

Kallen's expression changed to one of pure shock, as she peered outside to see Lelouch looking at herself in the mirror. Putting on some lipstick and adjusting her clothes.

"Who are you?! How did you get this number?!" Kallen hissed.

"To many questions, to little time. The day after tomorrow, at 16:00. The observation deck of the old Tokyo Tower, come alone… if you want."

"Who are you?! How did you arrange that cease-fire order?!" Kallen almost shouted.

"See you soon."

"Hey! Don't hang up on me!" Kallen yelled, pushing the curtain all the way with the telephone wire, exposing her naked body to a very satisfied Lelouch.

"Eh, Kallen? What happened? You sound angry. What do you mean by a cease-fire order?" Lelouch asked innocently.

"This was just… a… game?" Kallen said the first thing that came to her head. Hoping the girl next to her would take it. Well, you're such a horrible liar, Kallen. Lelouch mused.

"Oh! An online game! I get it now! Don't worry, Kallen, I know how intense things can get with friends!" Lelouch exclaimed, as Kallen only sighed deeply.

"Uh… Yeah! That's it! My friends are quite the… fanatic!"

"Alright… uh, Kallen… you're beautiful."

Kallen turned around and saw Lelouch looking at her naked body, and she couldn't help but squeal loudly. "I'm not ready for something like that!" Kallen yelled as she closed the curtains.

Oh, but I am!

"Ah… sorry! I will just… uh, wait for you outside!"

Kallen only whimpered under the shower, embarrassed and anxious. Things had to just become more difficult in her life.

Thankfully, everything went as good it could. Kallen put on Lelouch clothes and realized that the girl was saying the truth. Lelouch hips were wider than hers, and it seemed her chest area was also a bit bigger. Kallen blushed as she took a peek at Lelouch's body. Some people are born with good genes. Kallen moaned.

"Don't worry, Kallen. The student council doesn't require much too much time or work. Beyond the occasional paperwork, and planning school events. It's actually pretty easy," Lelouch said, while both were walking to where the rest of the student council was awaiting them. Kallen tilted her head, wondering if Lelouch was nervous about being next to her. The red-haired girl saw those red lips, and could only wonder how would they feel or taste, yet realizing what was she thinking, she shook her head.

Get a grip, woman! You're a losing focus! Kallen thought heatedly.

"Uh, I see… by events, you mean the cultural festival?" Kallen replied, trying to follow the conversation.

"Along with the cross-dressing festival, the absolute silence party, and going to class on your swimsuit day. And many more," Lelouch said with a sigh.

"What are those events? Never heard of them," Kallen said.

"You're lucky to never been in one. Our president's weird taste spread across the school. But she'll get you involved in this stuff soon, so be prepared."

Lelouch was already waiting for the underwear day. It would surely be fun.

"Sister! It's awful" Nunnally voice brought Lelouch serious side, as she immediately went to her sister.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Prince Clovis has died!" Milly said, as the entire group stared at the screen.

"They say they killed him!" Rivalz whispered.

So, they have finally announced it. It took them long enough. Lelouch thought, as she stared at the screen with the rest. It was now a matter of time before Britannia takes action. And she had to be prepared for it. Lelouch then saw a familiar face.

"Prince Clovis has passed away! While fighting for peace and justice against the Elevens! He died a martyr! We all must push down our sorrow and carry on his will!" A man exclaimed in a press conference.

Wait, I know him… I know that face. But where do I know him from? Lelouch wondered, trying to search for a memory where she could find him. But the updates of the murderer of her brother, Clovis, stopped her thought.

"They have captured the man suspected of the murder of prince Clovis! According to the report, the man was an honorary Britannian citizen. Private Suzaku Kururugi!"

Lelouch froze at the face of Suzaku, who was being taken away by soldiers. Suzaku?! How?! How did you end up there?! Lelouch almost jumped to the screen, but could hold her feelings away. She couldn't show that she knows him. Not now. It was too risky. Yet, Lelouch could also see the face of worry from Nunnally, who wanted to do the same.

"Sister," Nunnally whispered, holding Lelouch hand tightly.

"I know," Lelouch only replied.

Shit! It seems my plans would need to change a bit.
