Pyeknu: Well don't be disappointed. But not today ;)

Martyr Mcjones: Thanks

Myuacc1 Inc: All this and more you will someday see. Or perhaps not. Take what I'll give ya. And because you asked so nicely, I will use them to prove a point. And perhaps one or two small cameos towards the end.

The clinic he was in wasn't sterile. Not unsanitary, but it was rather warm in emotions.

He was lucky to get out of school early because of his appointment. And really lucky because yesterday's incident spread around school like wildfire, meaning that Megane was watching him all day long. School wasn't that interesting in comparison to the great ball of pink light that hovered above the school courtyard, which waited for Lum in order to drop a package with secret contents, but he stayed focused on Ataru. It was unsettling.

Lots of old folks greeted Ataru with a smile, as he entered. And that means lots. The place was crowded. A few grandmas were chatting with each other over a cup of tea out of their thermos, while their husbands sat next to them trying to ignore all the snarky comments. They offered him a cup as well and tried to get him to have a conversation with them, which he was baffled about.

He found out that the doctor was indeed good. But not only as a chiropractor, but as a toxicologist, a psychologist, medicine man and martial artist as well. Also he was the best person to go to if you just needed someone to listen.

As the clock struck three suddenly all the patients looked terrified, stood up and hastily scrambled outside. The examination room's door opened and the current patient zoomed past them as well.

"What the..."

The doctor stepped in. "Hm. Every Saturday at exactly 3 o'clock. I wonder what's up with that." He was a nice-looking man of average height in his mid-thirties. He looked reasonably well with his brown hair and a toned body, but wore big, round goofy glasses, which made him look like a nerd.

"Well anyway, that's not the weirdest occurrence in Nerima, is it? Hello, I'm Dr. Tofu. You must be Mr. Moroboshi."

"Um, yes!", Ataru said and shook his hand with his good arm, "Please call me Ataru."

After a short while the examination was over, and Dr. Tofu was looking at the x-ray pictures. He looked unbelieving at first. Then he took off his glasses breathed on them and cleaned them. He checked the pictures again. "Amazing. In your medical records it says you have broken your arm and several ribs only three weeks ago, yet here you are, not showing even the slightest irregularity in your bone structure in any way at all! I've never had – or even heard of – anything quite like this!"

"I'm a little disappointed to be quite honest. I usually can't even get hurt at all, and if so, I'm fixed instantly."

Dr. Tofu blinked a couple of times. "Amazing."

Ataru sighed. "Does that mean we can finally take my cast off? It annoys me and probably the readers as well."

"Good point."

Just as Dr. Tofu had almost finished taking the bandages for the ribs, the door opened.

"Hello. How are you to…", you-know-who said, as she entered the door.

"K-K-K-KKK….", the doctor stuttered and pulled at the bandage, making Ataru spin around with high speed.

"Uh…" Ataru said alarmed as he came to a stop, "What?"

"Oh, my, it's you!", she exclaimed, as she saw Ataru, "The boy from the hospital! You really did come!"

"Oh, hey! Yeah, it's me! What did you say your name was?"

"K-K-KKK…", the doctor stammered on.

"...asumi," she finished. "With one k."

"KASUMI!", Dr. Tofu finally managed to exclaim "Oh, I'm so happy to see you here!", he said, walking over to Betty the skeleton and shook her hand.

"Again," Ataru commenced, "What?"

"Oh, just a little running gag between the two of us," she answered amused, "Dr. Tofu, I'm over here!"

The medic looked back and forth between the girl and the skeleton. "Oh, right!", he laughed nervously and then went to shake Ataru's hand just as furiously. This earned another surprised reaction.

"I'm ATARU!", the young boy corrected, "Are you going to take off the cast or not?"

"Oh, um, yes, right! The cast! I'm right back!"

The doctor ran out and Ataru looked at the girl, who just shrugged.

"So… Kasumi," he said, pulling out a little black notebook and a pen, "I know I shouldn't ask you this, but do you have a last name, too? And a phone number and address?"

Kasumi blinked in shock. "Please don't sue us for having you come here, my family doesn't have any money and I just wanted to aid Dr. Tofu!"

Ataru blinked in confusion. 'Why is everybody always jumping to conclusions like that?' He looked up something in his script. "It says here that I don't intend to sue anybody in this chapter yet. I was just, you know, trying to get all the cute babes into my book and my pride won't let me be."

Kasumi cocked her head to the side and chuckled. "Okay, but just for fun. My last name is Tendo, from the Tendo School of Anything Goes Martial Arts…"

"Tendo? Anything goes? A-as in ma-master H-happosai?"

Kasumi blinked twice. "You know him?"

"I do not want to talk about it!", he shouted.

That was the moment Dr. Tofu fell into the door with an axe. Ataru started screaming, when Tofu began twirling the weapon between his fingers, as if it were a pen, and he went about removing the cast, but ended up cutting up his own shirts sleeve as he couldn't see through foggy glasses.

"Oh, Dr. Tofu, you're a real practical joker! But I have to do the laundry, so I'll just leave your cookies at the receptionist's desk. Oh yes, I brought cookies." With that she waved goodbye and left the room.

As soon as she was gone, his glasses defogged and immediately he was overcome by extreme shame, as he put the tool aside.

"Ahem, I… I was just…"

Ataru gave him a questioning look. "You, good Sir, need a professional's help. I'm outta here."

"Wait!", the good doctor shouted, as he closed the door in front of our main protagonist, "I'm a good doctor, I really am!"

The boy raised an eyebrow. "Why do I not believe that?"

"Oh, dearie me, he really is a good medic", an old lady, that was part of the crowd of elderly ladies and gentlemen, that had accumulated in front of the building shouted through the window, "But he just can't help it when she's around. Give the poor lad a chance, will ya?"

Ataru rolled his eyes and doc Tofu went to work. Just as he cut through the last centimeter of the layer of protection on Ataru's arm, there suddenly was a weird whirr in the air, which seemed to radiate from the boy. Then, as the last cut was made, there was an orange shadow bouncing off the walls and little later a boy-shaped whole in the door.

"Oh, my," Tofu said baffled.

Officer Kichiro Fukitsu had one of those days. Those days that were, to say the least, not going quite as planned. The kind of day on which you were going to breathe and forget to do it. Today was one of these days, on which his boss was so annoyed with his performance lately, that he decided to put him on duty in the pedestrian zone in the shopping district. What made this day whole, though, was, that the police car he came in was currently halfway inside a flower shop, where there was supposed to be a huge window. While he was on foot. Currently, he was rambling his apologies to the hyperventilating shop owner.

"… I… I really don't know what caused this, I…"

Five Willys MB pulled past him into the car-free shopping area. Inside sat a soldier, driving each car, while the back of each was loaded with weapons and a teenage boy.

He looked at the woman, whose store he had just crashed, and she looked at him just alike.

This went on for a couple of seconds, until she yelled at him: "Go after them! The crashed car will still be here, but get these guys to stop!"

He nodded quickly, but stayed quiet and hurried after them, but not before calling for reinforcements.

He sneaked around the corner of a butcher. A man in a gray suit stood bent around the corner on the other side of the street, doing it alike. They waved to each other and continued being sneaky, as the cars formed a roadblock. The boys got off the vehicles and grabbed a weapon each. Ahead of all Mendo, who shed his sword, and Megane with his morning star. The others were reluctant. "I don't know," said Chibi, "Aren't we going a bit too far this time?"

"This scoundrel has to be put in his place again!", Megane yelled, his left eye twitching, "He can not simply be this way towards Miss Lum and especially to me!"

"Exactly!", Mendo added, "And according to the calculations my men have made he should be passing right here in his highly triggered behavior."

"Aren't we a bit too obvious this time?", Kakugari now added, "I mean, we are in the middle of a public street in broad daylight."

"This is Nerima," Mendo added flatly and gestured them to look around. Indeed, all the people, who were in the street didn't give a damn about the military vehicles loaded with weapons. "I'd be surprised if anybody even noticed."

"I don't know…", Kosuke then cut in too. "I still don't feel well."

Megane jumped onto a car and held out his weapon towards Kosuke. "Trooper! Are you abandoning the army for the side of the enemy?"

Kosuke looked appalled. "Listen, Megane, I…" then he ran out of words and shook his head.

"Let's just get into position," Mendo proposed, as Chibi and Kakugari looked at each other, worried, but still they all crouched behind the cars, waiting for him to show up..

"Payback time, Moroboshi."

A little down the road, Ataru was running like the wind, feeling the air flow by him in a sudden rush of vitality. He felt like he could run for an eternity, before he would be tired, but a series of Jeeps blocked the main shopping street. They stopped him quite suddenly. With a big 'Klong!', that his skull made upon impact, he fell to the floor flat as a pancake, while the troopers were given a clear signal and jumped out of their position and dragged him into the next dark alley

Five shadows lurked over him holding a few pieces of metal, that glistened in the remaining light.

"Payback time, Moroboshi."

Ataru looked at them wide-eyed. "Is this an ambush? Come on, where did all your originality go!"

Megane swung out, but Ataru only narrowly dodged him. "SHUT UP AND DIE, WORM!" He continued to fall around the floor to avoid Megane at all costs.

That's it. As a representer of law and order Kichiro couldn't wait a second longer for the reinforcement to come. Sadly, he was unarmed. So he did the next best thing and snuck up on Mendo from behind and tried to grab him. Even more unfortunate is that Mendo was a lot stronger than he looks, so he managed to shake loose from his grip, threw him to the floor and ended up trying to get the police officer's head off, too. "Just you wait! Don't you know, who I am!"

In the sky, there suddenly was a flash of light and something round and black fell onto Mendo's head. It squealed and scratched and made him miss his swing. As it happened, he stood just in a perfect line with Megane's head for another flash of light to appear and come against his. This time it was a foot with a worn-out, old-style Chinese shoe. This shoe of course belonged to none other than Ranma Saotome himself, and sent the heads of Megane and Shutaro against each other, making them fall unconscious. Sending Ryoga into the next alley in the process.

Ataru, the officer and the other three boys, who stood there, having had had let their weapons go right at the start, frozen in shock, breathed deeply.

"Thank you, young man," the police officer sad to Ranma, who already tried to run after the human piglet again, and stopped him.

Then a voice screamed: "RANMA! Will you stop bothering P-chan…", then the black-haired owner of the pig rounded the corner and saw the scene before her "…what happened here!?"

In a big office building, somewhere around Shibuya-ku.

"Moroboshi, come quick! You need to see this!"

Akio looked up from the mountain of paperwork before him. "What is it, Saito? Can't you see I'm busy here? I want to go home earlier today."

"Your son's on TV again!"

"WHAT!?"

'

'

"Man, I hate paperwork!", Ataru said, as he headed into the backyard.

"You bet I do too." Ranma was also not very enthusiastic.

"And all for naught, too."

Akane looked at him past Ranma. "Why do you think so?"

Ataru rolled his eyes at no one in particular. "Mendo is the richest boy in the world. His lawyers will probably have him out by tomorrow morning, if not earlier."

"Ya think?", asked Ranma. "Well at least we got rid of the other pest you had there. Satoshi you said?"

"I don't know. And honestly? I don't care. He's been a threat to society for long enough."

They went past the dojo, which was at this point lit by the red evening sun. "Still", asked Akane, "your whole situation seems strange, even for us. And he turns into a girl every five minutes," she mocked, pointing her thumb at Ranma, earning her a glare.

"Anyway," Akane stated, "I sense more conflict in need of unravelling. How in the hell is every maniac in the universe located in Tokyo?!"

Ataru stopped in his tracks. "Don't tell me you got even more. Please."

A shadow lurked over Akane from behind, emitting an aura of doom.

"Fine," Ranma smirked, "we won't tell you."

"AKA-A-A-A-ANE-E-E-E-E-E!", the tall figure whimpered when it clamped around the defenseless teenage girl.

Ataru jumped behind Ranma and, in fear of being discovered and in a sudden realization where he had gone, ducked and covered himself.

"What the …? Dude, get up, it's only Mr. Tendo!"

Indeed Soun was a master in emitting doom and sadness, just as he was in martial arts and bailing out on Ranma, but he was sure happy to see his youngest daughter. And he was watering the lawn.

"Dad, get off! What the hell got into you?!"

Soun however didn't budge.

"Well," a certain attractive brown-haired capitalist remarked, leaning nonchalantly on the doorframe, pointing towards the running TV, "you made quite the news Akane."

Akane (carrying her dad) and Ranma stepped closer to inspect the program, and saw themselves on the NHK Breaking-News edition. "I'm sorry to interrupt you, but we have just gotten the information that the savior of the all-infamous victim of the terrorist attack and his girlfriend have just arrived home safely after being questioned by the police.

"Well, aren't we glad about that. Now the nation can finally take a deep breath as we know the maiden's safe return. As for the hero of the day itself, who has been identified as a certain Ranma Saotome, the latter's fiancé, it is…"

The screen cut out to black, as a specifically miffed (yes, the face) Akane switched it off via remote. "Can you believe the story lining of those newsmen. I swear to the gods, these vultures can't resist a prey over the truth!" Then she stopped, grabbed her father and single-handedly pulled him loose from his grip on her an dropped him to the ground. "Ranma had already finished when I showed up to get P-chan! And anyway, I could have easily dealt with them on my own. You maiden me!"

Ranma felt like edging her on some more, but his father (currently a floof) held up a sign saying: "Who the hell is crouching in our backyard?"

"Whose backyard?", Soun instantly recovered and deadpanned, "Although that haircut seems kind of familiar…"

"Yeah, him. Should we do something about him?" Genma wrote.

"Maybe a reboot?", Ranma asked, causing his family to stare at him questioningly.

"Where in the hell do you know of rebooting anything? It's 1983, that tech is still expensive as fuck, we're broke and you have been travelling the Asian backwaters for the last couple of years!", Nabiki remarked.

While she did this Ranma walked back over to him, while Genma grabbed a kettle and reversed himself for the sake of making one of his famous announcements. "Ah, yes the ancient art of rebooting, passed down from the west as a way of inciting new life into a frozen body like electricity used to power the starter motor of a car…"

Anticlimactic to this, his son lightly kicked the protagonist into his buttocks, causing him to fall over to the front and flat on his face.

Akane sighed. "Oh boy!"

As Ataru snapped out of it and turned around a high-pitched shriek was emitted by both Genma and Soun, both of them immediately rushing over and put an oversized gunnysack over him.

Ataru flinched and tried to escape, but the men held him and pulled the sack closed. In the end, both lay on top of the boy, shouting at him.

"Why have you come here to haunt us, you little scoundrel!", asked Soun.

"Couldn't you just have left us alone?", attacked Genma, "Now we'll have to go and remove you forcefully."

The three Tendo sisters and Ranma looked at each other confused, then Akane demanded: "Could someone just logically explain what the hell is happening!?"

Author's notes:

I have just decided to upload two small chapters instead of one big one. I'm sorry that I've not been very active recently and I can't promise to upload anything on a regular basis, but what I can assure you is that neither me, nor this story, is.

Till then,

Francis.
