October 2021 Update
Well howdy. I've got some exciting news for this story to share with you all, so hopefully I don't get in trouble for posting a strictly A/N chapter (I can never remember what the rules are there, or how strictly they're reinforced).
Back when I first wrote this thing, I had written it with a possible sequel in mind, but life got in the way, and then after posting a few more stories (and the beginning to another, which I left criminally unfinished), I ended up stepping away. I always thought about coming back, at the very least to complete my last couple of unfinished projects.
And here we are: I'm happy to announce I've started work on a "Nine Lives" sequel - LONG overdue, and probably long since anyone cared enough to read it haha but nevertheless! And I have decided to finish "Knock on Wood" as well. These two stories are the ones that got away… and I'm going to fix that :)
So if there are any folks around here who are still at all interested in seeing what happens next, after all this time, it would be wonderful to have you along for the ride :) to any who want to, keep an eye out for chapter 1 in the coming few weeks.
Either way, this is gonna be an absolute blast :) and I'm sending love to all the wonderful readers over the years, who've continued to read and review - I was never great for answering everyone, but you've given this little writer heaps of joy. So you know x
