Guardian of Nobodies
Chapter 8: Trials, Teachers, Curse Lifted:
Time ticked on. Classes went on as normal as could be. The Planetary Guardians were going back and forth between Hogwarts and the Castle That Never Was preparing for that coming summer. Gina was insistant that Cassie would have Roxas and Axel back that year consequences be damned. Though it was a question who Xehanort's third planned victim was. Lea and Sora was obvious. But it was the third one who escaped them. But irregardless they prepared for either gender.
Cassie was finishing up her work in an empty classroom when she sensed a presence behind her. She spun around just as the spell slammed into ehr knocing her out a flare of her magic reaching Gina, Daphne, Hermione, Ventus, Vanitas, Marluxia, Davis, Ken, and Loki.
Cassie woke up tied to chair her wand on a table on the other side of the room. Dumbledore walked in with a vial in his hand. "Since you are such a wretched disappointment miss Potter this potion I have will fix you right up. Oh don't worry my dear girl it won't hurt. You'll just be my thrall until your with child. With whom I have waiting that won't be long. Now be a good girl and open your mouth." Cassie was thrashing in the chair struggling against the enchanted ropes. Dumbledore laughed. "Struggling won't do you any good miss Potter. Now drink your potion like a good thrall." Dumbledore pried Cassie's mouth open to pour the contents of the vial down her throat. Just before he did the deed, Minister Fudge, Loki, and all of Cassie's supporters including a House Elf by the name of Dobby who had all of the evidence of Dumbledore's purchase of a Thrall Potion Broke through. Amelia Bones was there with Aurors who were supposed to investigate how a Dark artifact got in passed the Wards. They apprehended Ron and Dumbledore while Loki volunteered to take Cassie to St. Mungos.
Her friends insisted on going with her. Ventus going to Privet Drive to inform Petunia. And needless to say she went to the Ministry like a woman on a mission. She demanded as a descendant of House Evans that Dumbledore face retribution at his plan to have her niece the Heiress of Potter, Black, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Pervell, Trueheart, Dragoni, Evans, and Moonview raped. The Ministry was quick to begin proceedings for Sirius Black to have a trial and to set up criminal trials for Ronald Weasley and Albus Dumbledore. While at St. Mungos Cassie was sitting in the exam room crying her eyes out. Marluxia glared at the people who were trying to get into the exam room who didn't belong there. He summoned flowery like Nobodies. Demyx, Larxene, and Zexion were sitting there as well with glares and Nobodies spawning acting as a sort of Secret Service. The Healer one Thalia Granger a diistant cousin of Hermione's came in, "Good news, that Thrall Potion won't have any lasting side effects. Bad news is Dumbledore is trying to justify forcing it down your throat. On a similar note both Ron and Dumbledore had Veritaserum forced down their throats. Causing them to spill truths of all sorts. Unfortunately, the pair escaped custody. Where they are no one knows but their magic was bound to 25 percent. A temporary Headmaster by the name of Steven Strange has been appointed. Professor Odynson knows him rather well. So Professor Strange will be Head of Hogwarts. He's already instilling changes for international standards. Including updating the castle and installing Muggle computers. He also started looking for a Proper teacher of Magical History and adding classes including a class for the upcoming year of Ancient Magic. He even brought in a team of Curse Breakers to break the Curse on the Defense Position." Cassie was cleared as fit to leave. Ventus asking if he and his brother could take Cassie home as opposed back to school a few days. Professor Strange gave Cassie, Ventus, and Vanitas two weeks off from school.
Ventus and Vanitas dragged Cassie shopping off World when they ran into Kairi. Kairi asked, "Oh I'm sorry. It's just you looked like my friend Sora only with teal eyes. Who are you and is she okay?" Vanitas replied, "I've been told that by Leon before. My name is Joel Evans nice to meet you. This is my fraternal twin brother Jesse and our cousin Cassie. Cassie was attacked by the former Headmaster at our Magic School. The current Headmaster gave us two weeks off and Jess suggested a trip off world might help her. She is similar to a Princess of Heart. So you can guess why it's affecting her so bad. Any advice? My brother and I are at a loss along with our Aunt and Uncle." Kairi said, "My only advice is take it a step at a time. This will haunt her for a while. She needs love and support which your providing. But she needs emotional help."
Cassie leading up to Sirius trial was quiet. She spent time doodling not really paying attention in class. Snape after hearing what happened couldn't blame the girl nor could any of her teachers. To discover what their former colleague was planning was a sucker punch to the gut. With Hagrid and Professor McGonnagall being the most affected. Knowing that he was willing to let a student be raped for some master plan.
Ventus was sitting in his room at the Castle That Never Was looking over his share of the plans for restoring The World That Never Was. With the addition of Remus, the Weasley Twins, Percy who had been the victim of a Thrall potion like Cassie almost was, Neville, Blaize Zabini and a majority of the Slytherins who had been shocked Professor Odynson was Loki who at the time had been Salazar Slytherin in mortal form! Finding out the real reason he left the school and what the 'monster' under the school really was happened to be shocking. Jor would be enrolled next year as Jeremiah Odynson who was Professor Odynson's son along with Rory Rainheart who would be Roxas acting as Daniel/Demyx's nephew who was being sent to live with him because his father was in a coma. The plants and cuttings Marluxia, Neville, and Larxene were coming along nicely. They needed to find Luxord to handle the time magic to speed up growing some of the plants. Namely the fruits and vegetables. Once the first batch was done they could use enchanted boxes to have fresh produce growing when some was picked. Best of all, the spells could even be used to prevent the food from rotting while on the plants. The copying of books was coming along excellently as well. Buying bolts of fabric at dirt cheap prices was going great. Even if it meant going off World and Heartless hunting to get the needed funds. Yet another reason to find Luxord. He would be on permenant cash duty for their group outside of Heartless hunting. All that was left was to wait for the July New Moon to plant the Hope Tree seed.
They had an abundance of lumber and other supplies. The livestock were on a ranch in another world just waiting for when the World was restored. Vanitas knocked on the door and talked to his brother about their cousin who was taking a nap in her room. When they heard a noise towards the lower levels. The brothers ran downstairs to find Luxord, Lexeaus, and Xaldin! Ventus had Zexion, Demyx, Marluxia, and Larxene explain what was going on to the confused trio. Needless to say they were pissed. All three were prepared to swear fealty to Cassie. Said raven haired Keyblade Wielder woke up from her nap and was stunned. Ventus and Luxord talking shop for the restoration. Lexeaus offered to work with Demyx to create several parks and maybe even a few lakes to swim in. Demyx and Lexeaus started talking logistics while Xaldin offered to be Cassie's political laison. His Simebody had actually been Ansem the Wise's ambassador to other Worlds. So he never lost touch with those lessons even as a Nobody.
The day came at long last. Sirius' trial was finally happening. It was a long and tedious process but Sirius was free. He would be attending therapy while Narcissa cleaned up Grimauld Place. Sirius was furious and decided to seek his mother's advice on how to catch Dumbledore and Ron. Even if Walburga Black was only a portrait. Needless to say he had several new ideas to use. The Black's were stunned to find out that the heiress had nearly been raped and force fed a Thrall Potion. Many of the family who came before were chipping in their own ideas. Sirius was also consulting the Black Family library. While Bellatrix was tried in private and the Longbottom's informed of the truth. Thankfully, a Healer in Japan was able to break Frank and Alice from the spells they were suffering from. While also treating Bellatrix so she could return to her husband Marcus. Gina had been relieved her real mother could be saved.
Ventus was eager for Valentines Day that year. He was attempting to woo Daphne, He had chosen a song to sing for her. Professor Strange had planned a Valentines Dance and it would be a regular event. Davis despite knowing Cassie's Heart belonged to Roxas asked, "Since we're both seperated from our Soulbonded Other's shall we be each other's Valentine for the day?" Cassie smiled softly and said, "Sure Davis. I'd like that. Now then to Hogsmade!" It was another one of the changes. All the students could go to Hogsmade during the weekends. Some chose to visit Muggle London but it was still all in good fun. Cassie split time between Hogsmade and London. That day she decided to go to Hogsmade to spend time with her fellow Digidestined. Davis said, "So I hear that the Ministry is planning to restart the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Mom gave me the details since they want Mahoukotoro to be one of the schools." Cassie asked, "When do the plan to do this Tournament anyhow?" Davis replied, "Fourth year for us. Why are you interested?" Cassie shook her head. "Actually I have a brilliant idea. You ever hear of an Olympic Village? You know a place where you can shop, eat, and get specialized memorabilia of the event?" Davis replied confused, "Sure I do. But what does that have to do with the upcoming Tournament?" Cassie smirked acting more like herself since she had been attacked, "Why not submit a request students can use unused classrooms and set up our own little strip like the Olympic Villages? It gives students who want to own businesses experience, forges connections, and establishes alliances outside our home countries." Davis chuckled, "That's genius Cassie. It's complete and utter genius! Best of all, it would be open to all Houses and schools! So should we do seperate or combined?" Cassie for once feeling like herself began talking shop. Needless to say things were getting back to normal thanks to Davis. Even her pen pals were a huge help. Misao was going to be an exchange student during the Tournament along with Tsuna. There would be a Mundane snack/specialty shop. Over the Summer break, Cassie, Larxene, Hermione, Daphne, Gina, Andromeda, and Petunia would be making sweaters, hoodies, jackets, pants, t-shirts, hats, and various other clothing items of the Hogwarts houses in different sizes. Then during Winter break the following school year they would make plush dolls and the like. The Summer before fourth they would buy up the paper currency and split it up between them and buy things like comic books, manga, snacks, books, puzzles, and what not from Muggle London. Petunia and Larxene would buy it up during the year. While Demyx and Xaldin delivered it.
Before anyone knew it the end of the year was fast approaching. Which meant the Defense position Curse would attempt to get Loki out of the Castle. However, Loki was a sneaky bastard and simply looked up the curse used and disabled it permently. It became apparent during the staff meeting when Flitwick asked, "So Professor Odynson, will you be stepping down from the post of Densense teacher or no?" Loki said, "No I shall not. I rather like teaching. Besides, the counterspell to difuse the curse was rather simple. Dumbledore should have realised which spell was used easily. Simply put, I don't think he wanted a set edcuational curriculum in terms of Defense Against The Dark Arts. A set curriculum means a more competent generation. A more competent generation meant less would look to him as the second coming of Merlin." Minerva sighed, :I still can't believe he would attempt to have the Heiress of Ancient and Noble houses raped. Albus is such an idiot! I'm rather glad Steven arranged to have the Wards checked and renewed. As well as revamped the classes available."
Cassie was in bed dreaming. It was of the rescue they were planning. When she saw Namine with Roxas and Axel! Did that mean Namine would be the third Nobody? Cassie called Dobby who Draco instructed to answer her calls for a drink and some treacle tart. As she set about eating the snack provided she let her thoughts wander. She knew there was still a lot to do before they could take down Xehanort and Luxu. On top of looking for Sailor Venus and restoring the World That Never Was back to what it once was before Xehanort hollowed it by destroying the Hope Tree. She had the new Seed and was just waiting for Roxas and Axel to be rescued before they restored the Hope Tree and by proxy the World That Never Was.
Really all Cassie wanted was her friends back and to have her chance for happiness. She had it stolen from her twice. Wasn't she allowed to just be herself? She finished her snack, called Dobby to take the dishes, and returned to bed.
