Chapter 38: Fiery Past

Spike glared at the pony in front of him. After all it was a pony he despised more than anything…

A pony that hurt Twilight in so many ways…

In this life and her past one…

But of course he was too dangerous for Twilight to fight, his power was extremely dangerous. It was magma after all… something that could pretty much kill ponies instantly.

But unlike the other he had an advantage, he was a dragon.

He was immune to magma.

He had bell flopped into magma before… but he knew that this was a fight with someone who could punch and kick with magma.

Still he was going to fight for Twilight no matter what.

"So you're the dragon who helps her." Said Firestone.

"I am!" said Spike.

"You think you can fight me?" he asked Spike.

"I really don't know but I do have an advantage over Twilight." Said Spike.

"And that is?" asked Firestone.

"Use your power on me!" said Spike.

He turned his hoof into a massive mass of lava and punched Spike with it.

He stared at Spike, who did recover.

"Okay that hurt… but I think you noticed it…" mumbled Spike.

Firestone scolded, after all it was clear what Spike was getting at.

He couldn't get burned by lava or magma.

"I've once belly flopped into lava… so yeah… I'm immune." Said Spike.

Firestone glared at the dragon.

"But you're not immune to other attacks." Said Firestone.

Spike just glared at him.

"You're still a child, even though you're a dragon." Said Firestone.

Spike just looked at him.

"All right Dragon… if you want to die…" said Firestone.

Spike looked at his opponent but it was clear he wasn't going to back down.

"So you have no plans to back down…" said Firestone, "Fine!"

Spike soot strong… but it went wrong very quickly.

He turned part of his body into magma and ran towards Spike.

?he sent out flaming hooves at Spike.

He dodged as best as he could… after all he was a baby dragon.

He did get hit a few times.

But he stood strong against the pony.

He looked at Twilight who was still scared.

So he knew he still had to fight.

However that was when Firestone came up with an idea.

She began to show magma behind Spike.

Spike turned to the magma.

"What is he doing?" he thought.

That was when Firestone suddenly slammed Spike into the magma he created.

Spike got up and glared at the pony.

"Remember magma is just melted rocks." Said Firestone.

"Thank you captain obvious…" muttered Spike.

Firestone glared at the baby dragon..

"I'm much tougher than a pony!" said Spike, "I eat rocks for breakfast."

"Seriously?" asked Firestone.

"Gems are a type of rock." Said Spike.

Firestone just glared at Spike after that crack.

He then sent out more magma at Spike.

IT was practically engulfing the dragon .

However Spike was able to easily get out of it.

"Okay that ta was a stupid move." Mocked Spike .

Firestone scowled.

"You can beat me by going easy on me." Mocked Spike.

"And I have doubt that you can beat me." Said Firestone.

Firestone then once again punched Spike.

Spike did manage to get up.

"You going to keep this up?" asked Spike.

Firestone glared him and knew he had to do more to the baby dragon .

He produced to start punching the baby dragon a lot… he was practically wailing him.

Spike still got up though since he was made up of sterner stuff than a pony.

"IS that all you got?" asked Spike.

"No…" said Firestone.

And that was when his hoof turned black.

"Oh no…" whispered Spike knowing that this was going to be bad.

Once again Firestone began to beat him and because of Haki, it hurt Spike much more than before.

"You might be a dragon but you still have weaknesses." Muttered Firestone .

"Yeah…" said Spike who got up once again.

"You're still standing?" asked Firestone.

"Of course I am…" muttered Spike glaring qat him.

He noticed that Twilight was still unable to move due to her fears… but it was clear that she hated watching it .

"I'll keep fighting…" thought Spike.

And so Firestone still beat up spike… and it was clear that by this point it was no longer a stalemate…

Thanks to adding Haki to his punches Spike was getting beaten and badly. But he still stood strong.

He also added Haki to his back legs.

Meaning he was now bucking Spike as well.

Spike still stood stronger however though it was clear he was in a lot of pain and bleeding a little.

"Why do you continue to defy me?" asked Firestone .

"Do you even listen to yourself?" asked Spike.

Firestone glared at him as he said that.

"This isn't the old world! Ponies who were pirates and marines get along! How many pirates help Princess Celestia?" asked Spike, "But then again you're working with Former Pirates to bring her down… why? Why are you doing that… what is the reason to?"

Firestone just once again punched Spike.

Twilight watched the fight shaking… it weas clear she was going to jump in soon.

"You're just a child! You wouldn't understand!" said Firestone.

"No you don't understand!" yelled Spike, "This isn't the old pirates world! This is a much peaceful world! One where the Ponies who were good people in their past life could live a nice happy life if they wanted to! So many people who were pirates and criminals are doing that! But you refuse to expect that!"

However Firestone just punched Spike so hard he crashed into some of the hardened magma.

He was walked.

"You still don't understand…" muttered Firestone, "You will never understand!"

Spike then bit into his foreleg .

Firestone glared harshly at the baby dragon then sent him flying with a punch.

However that was when Twilight caught him with her magic.

"Twilight…" whispered Spike who was clearly in a lot of pain.

"It's fine… I should have been fighting him from the start." Said Twilight .

She glared at Firestone.

"Do you really think you can beat me?" asked Firestone .

"The reason why I didn't fight back was because of my own fears…" said Twilight, "But after you hurt spike."

"What can you even do?" mocked Firestone .

That was when Firestone saw something she could do.

She could grow extra unicorn horn .

"What…" he managed to say as he paled .

The blossom horns began to show out spells from them.

Firestone turned to magma in order to take the blasts… however whatever the blast were they worked on him .

Firestone was shaking.

"To be honest… I have studied spells to deal with lava and magma…" said Twilight, "After all there will be times when ponies have to deal with volcanos and the like!"

She then used the spell on him again.

"There is something very wrong with you." Muttered Twilight .

Firestone glared at her.

"I was a wanted person in my past life… but the reason why was because of the World Government." She muttered, "Because they didn't like the fact I spoke a dead language…"

He tried to send some magma at her but she blossom more horned and created a magical net that suddenly hardened the magma.

She sent back at them.

"I'd understand if you just refused to work for Celestia… she doesn't care about our past lives… it doesn't matter who they were…" said Twilight, "Yet when you felt she betrayed you to joined a bunch of pirates! You're nothing but a hypocrite!"

"SHUT UP!" yelled Firestone .

He sent out a massive thing of magma at her and she turned it to ice.

"Is a case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend or something else?" asked Twilight.

Firestone still tried to attack her this time trying to punch her but she just blasted him without any extra horns.

"You made my life Tartarus… I was scared, I only knew a few Devil's Reincarnations who would help me… I was always unsure if I would find Luffy or Chopper's reincarnations and you made it worse…"

Firestone got up and tried to attack her this time coating himself with Haki .

However whatever the spell was it was very powerful and it still hurt him.

"You made so many mistakes…" said Twilight, "You assumed so much about this life…"

"Why you…" muttered Firestone.

"I have a question… if you were chosen by Princess Celestia what would you have done when Boulder Crash joined if he offered to join?" asked Twilight.

"I have no idea who that is…" muttered Firestone.

Twilight just glared at him.

"He's Whitebeard's reincarnation… and he's a member of the Fruit Brigade." Explained Twilight.

"What?" asked Firestone.

Twilight blossomed more horns and used magic to hold him down.

"I don't' know if you knew about him or not… but yes… there are pirates in the Fruit Brigade…" said Twilight.

"But… they…" said Firestone.

"I'm a student of Princess Celestia!" said Twilight, "I helped Equestria so many times! Pinkie has too! Oh and you want to know something… Prince Blueblood was Boa Hancock…"

Firestone's eyes widened, he had heard rumors that the Prince was a Devil's Reincarnation and not his sister but never knew the truth.

"Why couldn't you accept this life!" yelled Twilight, "If you had! Then you would have been helping us!"

She blasted him some more and more.

"IS justice worth this! Wroth any more lives? Worth scarring ponies that they just ignore their past lives as times even when there are ponies who wanted to help?" asked Twilight.

Firestone didn't answer.

He just looked at her .

"No of course not…" muttered Twilight.

Twilight decided to take a short breath.

Firestone decided to use this moment to try to attack her.

However Twilight figured he might do that and blossomed horns and eyes to blast him with a spell that turned him partially to stone.

"Don't worry it's not like with Discord." Said Twilight, "It's more or less a very quick way to harden lava."

Firestone melted the body that was turned to stone.

"I was able to break thought…" said Firestone.

Twilight just looked at him and took a breath.

"You hurt me so much… you made me fear you…" said Twilight, "But watching you beat Spike… made me get over those fears…"

Twilight took a breath, closed her she summoned so many horn.

All of them were glowing when she opened her eyes they were glowing as well.

"What?" asked Firestone.

The spell she cast hit him and he was engulfed by magic.

As he fell unconscious he could have sworn he saw the image of wings on Twilight.

"How can she…" thought Firestone.

He was covered in all sorts of strange stones… Spike who was recovering saw it as Twilight collapsed.

"Twilight!" said Spike.

"I'm fine… just used way too much magic…" sighed Twilight.

Spike looked at Firestone.

"Is he?" asked Spike.

"No he's alive… just unconscious don't know when he'll wake up…" sighed Twilight.

Spike nodded.

"Twilight…" said Spike.

"Yeah." Said Twilight.

Spike hugged Twilight.

Twilight started to cry… she couldn't help it… after all that happened she managed to get over her fear of him..

And that was the most important fight of all.

Meanwhile with Pinkie and Darkness Horizon, the game had ended .

"All right after the calculations of the tiles! It looked like you won…" muttered Darkness Horizon, "Really?"

Pinkie just laughed.

"Looks like it's time to fight then…" said Darkness Horizon.

Pinkie looked at her and glared at the black unicorn.

"You know… you're the last one standing…" said Pinkie.

"I'm well aware…" said Darkness Horizon with a shrug.

Pinkie scowled at her.

And it was clear that final battle was just beginning.

The fight long in the making… a fight that would determine everything.

There was no other fight left.

And Pinkie knew she had to win this…
