Happy 29th Birthday to Me and Happy 55th Birthday to my Dad!

This is the biggest mass update I have done

Chapter .9.

Susan already knew her former elder brother was going to be difficult. He hadn't liked Caspian and he didn't seem to realise that Susan was now older than him and had more battle experience. And probably could weld a sword better then he could.

"What happened on the Battle Field just now?" Edmund asks curious.

"As you got my letter you know this was meant to be my last resort. My army was meant to wipe out the Witches to give my King enough time to gather another army and gather allies", Susan tells them.

"That letter nearly gave me a heart attack my Queen", Caspian says pulling her tighter to his side.

"I am sorry my Love. But we were so exhausted we couldn't go on. And as Lucy probably saw I was already injured when I though Jadis in the Battle the nearly cost me my life", Susan explains.

"Why did you go into the battle badly injured?" Lucy asks her Sister.

"Yeh won't your injures stop you from really fighting?" Eustace asks.

"Because my people needed me. They needed a leader and a comrade. Who would be willing to die alongside them. They needed a Monarch that didn't hide behind them. And as I am the only one strong enough to take on the White Witch I was needed to be in this battle. Even if saving my people from getting killed with my own life in necessary is the only option", Susan reveals to them.

They were surprised by her speech.

Edmund thought it was a very wise speech. She was willing to die for her people. So how could they not to the same?

Lucy didn't understand how her sister could do all of this.

Peter couldn't see how Susan could be able to keep up with the White Witch.

Eustace was surprised at how generous Susan was. He didn't understand dying for another. But he was impressed by his cousin.

"Your truly one of a kind my Queen", Caspian says giving her a kiss.

"She is that my King and a truly worthy leader", Glenstorm says.

"I would hope so", Susan says chuckling.
"We are glad you survived Susan. So we could come and deal with the White Witch", Peter says.

Susan and Caspian frown at Peter. What was he talking about?
Edmund looked at Peter and tried to tell him silently to be quiet and that Susan AND Caspian knew what they were doing but he was ignored as usually.

"So we need to make a more on figuring out where the White Witch has set her camp", Peter says, as if he was the one in charge.

"We already know where she is", Susan reveals.

Everyone looked at her in surprise but Caspian. They didn't know that Susan would consider looking for her enemy.

Only Caspian and Gledstorm knew how clever their Queen was. And Glenstorm was the only one new how natural Queen Susan was at leading a army.

"Then why haven't you taken the battle to her?" Peter asks annoyed.

"Because it would give us little gain and would not be in the best interests of my people. Both here in the Army or in the surrounding areas, Susan replies starting to get annoyed at Peter.

"We need to strike while she is weak. She was probably injured in the battle and would be easier to defeat", Peter replies.
"Yes she WAS injured in battle. I should know I gave her, her injuries like she gave mine. While some of my injuries was doing a Edmund", Susan says with a smile.

They look at her confused.
"An Edward?" Lucy asks confused.

"What about me?" Edmund asks.
"I took a page out of your book brother and smashed my sword into the White Witches wand and a shattered it. That's what a call doing an Edmund", Susan tells them.

Edmund was surprised at that. He was happy his sister did that move. It would help defeat her.

Peter thought about it and now was the right time to strike as the Witch would be without her wand.

"Well then I am sure now is the right time to stroke. As Jadis will maybe without a wand and weak", Peter tells them.

"Peter you shouldn't underestimate the Witches power. As I told you somehow she seems more powerful. So even without her wand it could be dangerous to go. So I won't risk the lives of my people on a maybe", Susan replies firmly.
"I am with my Queen. We need to come up with another plan", Caspian says agreeing with his life.

"I am High King…", Peter starts.
"ENOUGH!" Susan says standing up abruptly.

She mores to stand in front of her brother.

"Peter all you are in a King. As Caspian and I have taken up the mantle of the High King and Queen. By Aslan's order. So the army will only answer to us. And so should you", Susan replies.
"Susan, we are still Kings and Queen of Narnia", Peter points out.

"Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King and Queen of Narnia", Lucy quotes.
"Be that as it may. This is Caspian's and I's kingdom. So you ALL with fall under my command", Susan replies firmly.

"We were summoned here to help", Peter points out.
"Actually you were here to help my save the Seven Lords of Telmar. And after doing that you all decided to stay and Aslan granted you that privilege. It doesn't make you one again the High King", Caspian says sticking by his wife.

"And I have more experience of ruling then ANY of you. I ruled 15 years in the First Golden Age and 13 years in this Golden Age. I believe I have every right to keep my position as High Queen and I believe I know better than you how to rule", Susan replies her eyes as hard of diamonds.

"You don't have to do this anymore Su. We are back and you can take a break", Peter replies.

"That will never happen. I will NOT abandon my comrades and people. And YOU Peter better get it through your thick head your not the most important person in the room and your certainly not the most experienced", Susan declares hoping to take her brother down some pegs.

"But Su you never liked battle", Lucy points out.
"I will do another to help my people. Even give up my title as Gentle Queen for them", Susan tells them.

"Is this what you want Su?" Edmund asks.
"Yes. I will always stick by my decision", Susan replies firmly.

Edmund gets up and bows to her.

"Then my Queen you will always have my support and my blade", Edmund says while bowing.

He could tell Susan was a great Queen. And that Peter was going to fight this every step of the way. And Lucy would worry.

So he would at least give her HIS support and blessing.

So she would have at least one family member fighting alone side her that wouldn't treat her as the Gentle Queen.

And that is what he promised to do by Aslan's mane he will keep this promise.

"By Aslan's man I will keep my promises to you", Edward adds.

They were shocked at what Edmund did. But Peter and Lucy were more surprised.
"I accept you vow King Edmund the Just and welcome back to Narnia and to the Thrones of Five", Susan replies formally.

Peter felt betrayed as Edmund listened started to ask questions about Susan's war tactics and what HER next more will be.

They were leaning over the war table. With Caspian on one side of Susan and Edmund on the other.

Lucy, Peter and Eustace were starting to feel left out.

Peter believed he needed to help and hopefully he would get Susan to agree to sack the Witches camp.

Susan knew her brother wouldn't be swayed lightly.

Why did her brother have to be so stubborn?

Why was he so determined not to let her lead?
Did he really see her still as a young woman that would have never picked up a sword?
Why couldn't he see that she wasn't who she used to be?

Susan realised Peter might actually go over Caspian's and hers head to get the soldiers to attack the Witches Camp.

That hadn't worked will with the Telmarine's so why would it work now?...
