This is the biggest mass update I have done
Chapter .5.
Was Jenny alright?
"What did those symbols mean?" Alexis asks Chiron.
"It was Lord Hermes claiming you all and offering his protection to those who aren't demigods", Chiron explains.
"If Jenny alright?" Ryan asks.
"I am fine", a voice says from behind them.
Jenny and Bea were coming up the hill with the Clarisse girl. But Jenny looked to be bleeding from her arm.
"Jenny your bleeding!" Ryan says in panic going over to his wife.
"I am fine Kev", Jenny replies as Will comes over to inspect the cut.
"You need stitches", Lanie comments.
"Have you got a doctor?" Ryan asks panicked about his wife being injured in their strange environment.
"No we don't need a Doctor and she won't need stitches and it is not such a bad wound", Will says handing Jenny a square of some type of food.
Jenny takes it from him and pops it in her mouth. Before any of them could stop her.
"I don't think that is a good idea", Ryan states.
"Have you got a first aid kit?" Lanie asks.
"I don't need one guys I'm fine", Jenny replies showing her arm.
And sure enough the cut was healed with only a little scar which was disappearing by the second.
"How?" they ask shocked.
"What Will gave to Jenny is the food of the Gods. It can heal wounds. But too much of it can kill you", Chiron explains to them.
"The squares are called ambrosia and we also have nectar and morning dew. But too much of it can kill you like Chiron said. So we have to be careful with how we use it. As mortals can't have it. Only Demigods and Gods can", Will explains.
"How do you know this?" Kate asks suspiciously.
"As I told you I am a son of Apollo THE God of Healing. I have been gifted with better skills of healing more so then my siblings", Will replies.
"Now why don't we show you around and you can tell me how you all came to be here Miss Beckett and friends. And your children can met their siblings and get a tour of their new home", Chiron offers kindly.
"Other children?" Jake and Reece asks excitedly.
"Yes. You all have brothers and sisters", Chiron says smiling at the excited boys.
He wasn't sure but they seemed to be like the Stroll Twins.
Kate couldn't believe it. Castle has other children. With other women. So what made her so spiecal? What made her children spiecal?
'You will always be more special to me. I love ALL my children. But you Katie and our children rank above them', a voice says.
'Cas…Hermes?' Kate thinks.
But she doesn't hear his voice again.
"Will and the rest of your can go back to your duties or activities now", Chiron says to them, "As I am sure our new Demigods and friends don't want to be overwhelmed when they first get here. And Miss Wise and Basil you have done well. I am sure Lord Hermes appreciates your effort"
"I hope he does", Bea says and then turns to the group, "We'll see you around"
"Thank you for everything and helping to save Lily", Kate says, "If you need help with the law just let me know"
"I will", Bea says smiling before leaving.
Will and the others nod and leave to go back to their duties.
"So would you all like a tour?" Chiron asks them.
"That would be lovely", Martha says smiling at the centaur as if nothing about this was weird.
"Well first you see that Pine Tree?" Chiron asks.
"Yes but it is just a Pine Tree isn't it?" Reece asks.
"No it isn't. That tree protects the grounds of Camp Half-Blood. It used to be a way to save a demigod daughter of Zeus who gave her life to save three…", Chiron explains the story.
And they were shocked by how far the Gods would go sometimes. Honestly having people turned into trees? But wasn't there some of the same stories written down in their world?
"Our boundary's are now protected by the dragon that lives around it and the Golden Fleece of legend", Chiron says, "As well as the Athena Parthenos. That has only just returned to its rightful place"
"That is one huge ass statue", Esposito states.
Thunder rumbles.
"Be warned that insults are not normally tolerated to the Gods and you should know names have power. Now why don't you follow me", Chiron says turning around.
"You alright Beckett?" Esposito asks Kate.
"Not sure", Kate replies honestly.
"Castle having more children is not good. So what are you going to do?" Esposito asks.
"I have no clue how to handle this. So baby steps", Kate replies.
"It will be alright Mum. You have all the support you need if Dad doesn't give it", Alexis says giving her a hug.
"Thank you Lexie", Kate replies.
She had been seeing Alexis as her own daughter for years now. And she was glad Alexis was here for this.
"Now we have the arena were all are sword fighting classes and sometimes mock duels and sparring takes place. You would normally find the children of the War Gods such as Ares and Enyo and of course Hercules children in there and when the Romans visit Bellona's children too", Chiron says pointing at the huge arena.
Where you kids were practicing their sparring.
"Aren't they a little too young?" Lanie asks worriedly.
"I have seen younger", Jenny reveals to them.
That had them worried. Would Johanna, Amelia and Matthew Ryan had to pick up swords when they are 5, 3 and 2? Or even Nicolas who is 6?
"These Demigods are not as lucky as Alexis and your children Kate. They have been fighting for their lives from the moment they were born. Not everyone makes it to Camp. But if they do they train to survive and put their trust in their siblings", Jenny explains, "Here anyway. The Roman Demigods are a lot more strict"
"How so?" Ryan asks his wife.
"Later", Jenny replies.
"The Archery range is where you find the Apollo Campers most of the time. And when the Hunters of Artemis come you will see them there too", Chiron says pointing to a group of archers that looked to be having a competition.
"The Hunters of Artemis?" Martha asks.
"Yes. I hope you heard the stories. But in case you haven't. They are a group of girls that swear themselves to Artemis and to be virgins for eternity till they are killed in battle. They are frozen immortal at the age they swear their oath. These girls can be Mortals, Demigods, Nymphs and so on as long as they are virgins", Chiron explains.
"Where are they now?" Lily asks starting to get curious.
"They travel across the Country with their Mistress. They rarely come here. But when they do. You have to be respectful to them. Especially males should. As they don't tolerate them and normally chase them away with their bows or knives", Chiron explains.
Ryan and Esposito wince at that.
"Is it true in the stories Lady Artemis changes those males or those that wronged her into Jackalopes?" Lily asks.
"That is true. So don't ever get on her bad side", Chiron advises.
"Can you imagine being stuck for eternity as a virgin?" Alexis asks her family.
"I couldn't imagine my life in such a way", Martha states.
Kate privately agreed with that. She couldn't imagine such a way of life.
"Now there is the amphitheater The benches are as people told me are as comfortable as movie-theatre chairs. It is where mass meetings are held and announcements", Chiron tells them.
The Amphitheater had rising tiers of stone benches that curve around the central stage. It probably would hold hundreds of people.
"How lovely I would like to preform on such a grand stage", Martha states.
"Really? What do you do Mrs Rodgers?" Chiron asks.
"I am an Actress", Martha says with a smile.
"Then maybe you can showcase your talents some time", Chiron offers.
"I would love too", Martha replies looking happy.
"Next we have the climbing wall", Chiron says pointing to a structure that has lava flowing down it.
Well it looked like lava.
"Is that lava?" Sarah Grace asks shyly.
"It is my dear", Chiron says with a kind smile.
"Why would you have lava flowing?" Ryan asks in worry.
"It makes for an extra challenge", Chiron replies as they more.
The group look at each other was this place nuts?
"We have the Strawberry fields where you will find the children of Demeter and Karmanor and something Dionysus's children tending them. We sell what we produce for money", Chiron says pointing a the crops that they now just noticed, "We also grow are own herbs and plants. But you find those in Demeter's Cabin's private garden"
They nod at this.
"Next the Pegasus stalls. Where you can find our one and only Son of Poseidon and sometimes the children of Aphrodite tending them", Chiron says.
"Pegasi are real?" Lily asks eyes widening.
"Very my dear. As most creatures you could hear off", Chiron replies, "Now we have the forest where you will mind some monsters for training and it is where we play Capture the Flag. It is also where the Dryads and the Grove of the Council of Cloven Elders and a landmark that is called Zeus's fist and the Creeks called Euros Creek and Zephyros Creek. You also have the magical Landmarks of the Grove of Dodona and the Cave of the Oracle which currently is a mortal named Rachel"
"The Cloven Elders?" Alexis asks curiously.
"The Satyrs council. Satyrs are the protectors of Demigods and the finders of them. They have a council to oversea that", Chiron explains farer.
That kind of made sense. But did they answer to the Gods? Well they must do because they are Gods.
"Now we have a Volleyball Court and a Canoe Lake. We are also on the Coast Line. So swimming in the sea you can do. The Naiads and Nymphs will watch over those who go there", Chiron says.
They are then shown the Camp Shop, the Arts and Crafts Centre and the Armory. Reece, Jake and Nicolas's eyes widen at all those weapons and wondered when they would get a weapon. Lily's eyes also go wide imagining herself welding one of those weapons.
"Now we have the Camp Forge where you will find the Children of Hephaestus. They make all our weapons here. And as all children of Hephaestus they like to invent and design their own weapons or those who ask for customization on their weapons", Chiron explains.
"Can we get a weapon?" Lily asks.
"I don't think…", Kate starts.
"I am sure you young Lily and your brothers will get a weapon. But Johanna might not yet. Sarah Grace and Nicolas might also get weapons but we will just have to wait and see", Chiron states.
"Wait and see for what?" Alexis asks.
"Whether you Father will provide your weapons. Sometimes the Demigods parents will give their favourite child a special weapon. That is made just for them", Chiron replies.
"Then our Dad won't", Lily grumbles.
Chiron could sense that young Lily didn't really like her Father. Sharing her distaste with her former half-brother Luke. He hoped she won't turn out like him.
"Your Father loves you. Otherwise he probably won't have stayed as long as he did", Jenny advises.
"Why do you say that?" Reece asks.
"Because most Demigods go their whole lives without seeing their parent. But yet you have spent the most time with you Father. Lord Hermes, Lord Poseidon are two of the best fathers that anyone can have", Chiron tells them.
"Sure", Lily snorts.
'I do love you so very much Lily. I hope one say you can see that', a voice in her head says.
Lily ignores it.
"Next is the infirmary which is where the Children of the Healing Deities such as Apollo and Asclepius. Where those children spend a lot of time. They are our Camp Doctors and Nurses and are on call 24/7", Chiron says pointing out the infirmary, "You will find they are quite good at healing and tending the sick anything from the Flu too serious injuries"
They found that hard to believe. Could children treat gunshot wounds or even sword wounds?
"How can children be capable of doing that? What if someone was stabbed or so on?" Kate asks.
"Trust me the children of Apollo take after their Father and I have seen them treat more serious injuries then a stab wound", Chiron assures them.
Kate and the others found that hard to believe. Why didn't they have an adult doing this? Actually where were all the adults? They hadn't seen a single one besides Chiron.
"Now we have the Cabins. Each Demigod sleeps in their parents Cabin…", Chiron says pointing out each Cabin.
"Why have a Artemis and Hera Cabin if Artemis is a virgin Goddess and Hera doesn't cheat on Zeus?" Esposito asks.
"Artemis's Cabin is honorary like Hera's is. But Artemis's also house her hunters when they stay at Camp", Chiron explains.
"What about that one?" Jake asks to Cabin 11.
At the largest, oldest and most worn-looking cabin. That was dull brown with paint that was chipped off and there was caduceus overhanging the door. With a number 11 on it.
"That is your Fathers Cabin, the Hermes Cabin. The most used and sadly the most crowed Cabin", Chiron replies.
Their eyes widen at its condition. Were Alexis, Lily, Reece, Jake and Johanna meant to live there?
"Hermes Cabin is where the unclaimed Demigods stay as Lord Hermes is the God of Travelling and he takes responsibility for housing those children till they are claimed. Some say Lord Hermes is the most generous God for allowing that", Chiron explains.
"Are their many unclaimed?" Lanie asks worried about the young kids.
"Not as many as their used to be. As Perseus Jackson one of the most famous Demigods of this age. Got a favour from the Gods for his role in a very serious war…", Chiron starts.
"The war that caused all those vandalize and murders in New York not long ago?" Kate asks.
"Why yes. How do you know?" Chiron asks.
"Cast...Hermes told us. But didn't go into details", Kate replies.
"Can you tell us more?" Ryan asks.
"I will have someone fill you in on the more recent history of Demigods", Chiron promises, "Now would you like to meet some of the children of Hermes?"
"I guess", Alexis says hesitantly.
"Lets see if we can find a few of them", Chiron states.
They were introduced to the Stroll Twins who were the Hermes Cabin Co-Councillors. Which they learned that made them leaders and they represented their siblings in meetings. And lead their Cabins in battles or Capture the Flag.
Kate could tell these Stroll Twins were going to make her twin boys more mischievous than they already were.
They part from the Stroll twins and were shown the dining hall.
"Each Cabin has a table, and you must sit at your parents table", Chiron explains.
"What about us?" Kate asks.
"I am sure Lord Hermes won't mind you sitting at his table. As he claimed that you were under his protection when you arrived here", Chiron assures them.
The see that Big House where Chiron said he lived with Mr D. When they got to the porch they see a man that had a chubby face, a red nose and curly hair so black, it looked purple. He had watery, blue, bloodshot eyes. He is wore a leopard-spot Hawaiian shirts and purple running shoes.
He was playing a game with a satyr.
"Mr D we have new Campers and Guests of Lord Hermes", Chiron says to the man, "Everyone this is Mr D", Chiron tells them.
Mr D squints at them and takes a sip out of what looked like Diet Coke.
"Mr D don't you have something to say?" Chiron prompts.
"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. Don't come to me with your problems. And mortals don't come whining to me when you realise you are in over your head", Mr D says.
"Why are you so rude?" Martha asks.
"Who exactly are you to talk to us like that?" Kate asks.
Mr D glares at them.
"Would you like to be turned into…", Mr D starts.
Chiron sighs, "Mr D they just entered this world they don't know. And if you turn them into something then Lord Hermes will get involved and I don't believe it will end well"
Kate and the others didn't know what Chiron and Mr D were now talking about.
"Miss Beckett and family may I introduce you to Dionysus God of Wine, Grape-Harvest, Madness, Parties, Religious Ecstasy, and Theater and he currently Camp Director of Camp Half-Blood"
