Happy 29th Birthday to Me and Happy 55th Birthday to my Dad!
This is the biggest mass update I have done
Author's Note: I am thinking of going over the previous chapters and editing them. As I haven't written this story for a while. But here is a new chapter anyway!
Chapter .6.
"Always"
For the next couple of days Selena was doing everything she could not to scream in frustration. Everyone was trying to suddenly get involved in her life and try and tell her not to trust Loki.
Loki was the one person she would always trust and love. Selena knew he would always be there for her. In this life and other lives she had to live if Loki and her failed to stop this curse again from killing her on her 18th Birthday.
And to her, her 18th Birthday wasn't that far away.
Actually it was 3 years today.
Yes today was her 15th Birthday and everyone was throwing her a party even when she told them bluntly she didn't want one.
Why would she when it marked another day closer to her next gruesome death?
As ALL her deaths ended that way.
She knew Loki didn't want to celebrate this day either. As he was thinking the same things as her.
But he also was thinking how he was running out of time once again.
"You WILL save me my Trickster Prince", Selena says to him in confidence as they were in their bedroom.
"But will it be this life or the next or the next?" Loki asks looking pained, "Or what if I can't"
"I believe in you my love. You WILL find a way to release me from this curse. I believe in you. You are my shining hope and guiding light in each life and the first person I sense when I'm reborn and the voice that guides me home", Selena says kissing him tenderly with a hand on his cheek showing him her love for him, "We will always have more time together my Trickster. It just isn't in the way we imagined"
Loki covers her hand on his cheek with his hand. He was just as grateful that they had more time together.
"Your amazing my Kaetia. So full of life after everything you have been through and besides all the horrors you have faced", Loki says.
"You want to know how I do it?" Selena asks.
"I would like too. Because I would like to see if it could help me. As I can't stand always losing you and with what Thanos and the Other did for me. I need to know how to face the horrors I have seen", Loki says to her.
Selena knew he was having nightmares about his time with Thanos, the Children of Thanos and the Other. She had comforted him through them as he comforted her through hers about her gruesome deaths. That the Dementors had pushed forward.
"I get through it because I know that I'm not alone. Even if I don't remember you my love. I still feel you in my soul. So I believe not matter how physically alone I am. I am not alone when I look inside my heart", Selena says putting his hand on her still beating heart as a tear falls down their faces.
Loki wipes hers away, "I will ALWAYS be there my Princess. Even when others try to separate us"
"I know", Selena says simply.
Loki kisses her tenderly. Hoping to show her how much he still adored her.
Their moment was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Selena!? Dear? You have to come downstairs for your party", Molly calls through the door.
"I told you Mrs Weasley I didn't want to celebrate my birthday", Selena says her eyes flashing to the door.
"Everyone wants to celebrate their birthday dear. Now come downstairs everyone has put in a lot of effort for today", Molly tells her.
"And you shouldn't have wasted the effort. As I don't want to celebrate my birthday", Selena replies stubbornly.
"Selena Lily Potter you have 10 minutes to come downstairs with Loki or I am finding someone that CAN break down this door! And you will be separated from Loki till you cooperate!" Molly threatens before walking away.
"Selena I don't think we have much of a choice", Loki says with a pained look.
"It is not like anyone can get through that door with you and I shielding it", Selena points out.
"I think my Love this is one of the times we are going to have to compromise", Loki says.
"You compromise?" Selena asks with a raised eyebrow.
Loki winces it was true he didn't really compromise.
"I know what you will say. But how about I make this so-called party interesting?" Loki asks with a mischievous look in his eyes.
"I am ALL ears"
The Order of the Phoenix and the Avengers had set up the party in the kitchen. With balloons and streamers. And a banner that said 'HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY SELENA!'
And on the table was a pile of presents. Even the Avengers had got her something.
They were waiting for Selena and Loki to come down. They were still very concerned with the amount of time Selena was spending with Loki and vice versa.
How could they suddenly become so close?
And another question still on their minds was just why Selena turned up in the Battle of New York. But so fair Selena had refused to comment. And if they pushed she would go the rest of the day without speaking to anyone.
Already it became obvious she wasn't confiding in Hermione, Ron and Ginny anymore. And they didn't know why. Could Loki be stopping her from communicating with her friends?
They didn't know and Fred and George's ears didn't work on Selena's room. The same with their other products.
They were bought out of their thoughts by Molly coming down the stairs looking angry.
"Where is Selena?" Sirius asks.
"She didn't want to come", Molly tells them.
"WHAT!?" many yell.
"Don't worry I gave her ten minutes before I find someone to knock down her door and drag her out. Then I told her she won't be seeing Loki again till she cooperates", Molly tells them.
"What will you do if they leave?" Steve asks, "Like they have been threatening to do"
"Lets just hope it doesn't come to that", Albus says.
"Maybe we should have listened to Selena and not given her a fuss about her birthday", Remus suggests.
"Your just a party pooper Moony. Every girl likes a party", Sirius says dismissing him.
"Selena has never…"
"…been one to…"
"…party. We agree with…"
"…Moony we probably shouldn't…"
"…have done this", the twins finish together.
"Nonsense boys you don't know what your talking about", Molly says just as dismissive as Sirius.
"Yeh what person doesn't like all the presents and cake?" Ron asks.
Fred and George try not to glare. They had noticed that Selena really didn't seem to like her birthday. She always appeared uncomfortable and maybe slightly sad.
Ten minutes later Selena appears with Loki's arm around her waist. Selena didn't look happy.
Suddenly in the doorway to the kitchen Loki pulls her into a passionate kiss which Selena quickly returns.
"Hey! Get your…lips of my Goddaughter!" Sirius growls.
Steve was blushing at the passionate kiss.
Tony and Clint didn't know whether to laugh or be angry.
Natasha's face held indifference.
Thor looked confused.
Molly was looking at the pair scandalously.
Arthur didn't know where to look.
Hermione, Ron and Ginny didn't know whether to be sick or not
Tonks, Fred and George were laughing.
And the rest of the Order were stitched between worried, embarrassed and amused.
Loki pulls up as Selena pants for air.
"You didn't need to do that", Molly says in disapproval.
"Oh really? Isn't the mistletoe above our heads?" Loki asks
Loki points to the so called mistletoe above where Selena and Loki were standing.
"Isn't that how mistletoe works with you mortals?" Loki asks pointedly at the Avengers.
"Yes. But the mistletoe wasn't there before", Tony tells them.
"And why would mistletoe be out in July?" Hermione asks.
"Who knows?" Loki asks rhetorically.
"What about Christmas in July?" the Twins ask.
"It still wasn't there before..."
"Now lets get this stupid party over with", Selena says going to pull Loki down to two chairs.
But Loki sits and pulls her into his lap making her squeak in surprise.
"Loki!" Selena exclaims.
"What?" Loki asks, "Don't you like it?" Loki purrs.
"You know I love it", Selena whispers to him leaning up and kissing him.
"There is a perfectly good seat next to you", Ron says blushing at their display of affection.
"Why should I when Loki so willingly gives up his lap for me?" Selena asks, "And why wouldn't I sit in his lap?"
"Maybe because it makes others uncomfortable", Arthur says gently as he points out a few people that looked uncomfortable.
"I am not leaving his lap. He is more comfortable and snuggly then a hard wooden chair", Selena replies snuggling into his embrace.
"Selena you must stop this! Your ruining your day!" Molly says looking a bit red.
"No I am not ruining anything. I didn't even want this party and I am going to enjoy it MY way. NOT yours", Selena says glaring at the Order and the Avengers.
Not THAT made more people uncomfortable and an awkward silence follows.
"Lets do presents", Remus suggests to get this over with as fast as possible.
"Do mine first!" Sirius says getting over with what just happened and handled her several packages.
Selena opens it to find Defence Against Dark Arts Books and Aurors through the Ages. As well several other things that would go towards a career as an Auror.
"This is all you are going to need to be an Auror", Sirius tells her as if it wasn't obvious, "And I have another present for you later it will go with your Firebolt"
So he was telling her he expected her to be an Auror or play Quidditch first then go into the Aurors. Just great.
'He really doesn't know you does he?' Loki thinks to her.
'I thought he did', Selena thinks back.
"Thanks", Selena says with a fake smile.
Molly and Arthur give her a knitted sweater, sweets and a book on Defence Against the Darkest Arts.
Ron got her Quidditch Gloves. Hermione gave her a book on Quidditch and another book that would help her to become an Auror.
'It is like they don't know me at all', Selena thinks to Loki.
'Don't worry I will always know you. No matter what life you live', Loki replies.
The Avengers got her tickets, clothes and an offer to spend the Summer at Stark Tower which was at this time becoming Avengers Tower. Tony also said he wouldn't mind her being his assistant and Natasha offered to train her in hand-to-hand. Clint says he would teach her weapons. Bruce giving a kind smile and said she was more than willing to spend time in his lab to just escape everyone. And Thor gave her the option of going flying HIS way sometime.
Selena did seem pleased with the Avengers gifts.
The Order gave her sweets and some gift cards.
Loki could see his soulmate getting upset and decides to do something. He sees Sirius going for his next present for her. And a little flick of his finger makes the gift super heavy.
Sirius expecting to pick it up with easy tugs it and stumbles when it doesn't more.
"What the hell?" Sirius mutters and tries to more it again and again.
"Let me try Padfoot", Remus says with a sigh.
And Remus picks up the present with no problem. Be puts it down on Sirius's order as he tries to pick it up again. And once again he stumbles as the box again wouldn't move.
"Losing your muscles cousin? Aren't you strong enough?" Tonks asks smirking trying not to laugh.
"I am strong!" Sirius says indignity.
"Sure", Fred and George say smirking.
"Why can't you pick…"
"…it up…"
"…then?"
"I…", Sirius flounders he didn't know what to say.
Tonks smirks and picks up the box easily and puts it in front of Selena.
"Was that so hard?" Tonks asks her pouting cousin.
Many people chuckles at that. Selena has to kind her chuckle.
Selena opens the big box to find her own set of Quidditch Balls. She was a bit disappointed at this. Why was it only about defence and quidditch with them?
"Now you and your friends can play together", Sirius replies with a smile looking quite proud of himself.
But Selena doesn't answer.
"You all don't know me at all", Selena says quietly.
Many people look shocked at that.
"This one is from me Selena", Remus says gently.
Selena picks up the package and opened it to find a photo album. She looked inside and saw pictures of her this life's parents she had never seen before.
"Thank you Uncle Remy", Selena says actually being notice to him.
As he was the only one that truly knew her.
Fred and George hand her two boxes.
She looks at them curiously.
One was box was a book on her favourite subject Ancient Runes and the other was a box of prank supplies.
We believe you can put these to good use on certain people.

Selena gives them a smile and mouths 'thank you'. Loki smirks at the items and letter this would be fun.
"Now it is time for the cake", Molly says bring forth a huge 15th Birthday cake, "Now Happy Birthday to y…"
"Don't! We can have the cake but no singing. I'm putting my foot down about this", Selena says putting her foot down.
"But…", Molly starts.
"Please", Selena adds in a nicer way.
"Molly lets let her have that", Arthur says gently.
Molly sighs and puts the cake down. And everyone sits down to eat cake and pasties.
Suddenly Ron turns into a yellow canary and so does Sirius, Tony and Thor with a pop.
Selena and Loki chuckles. And so do Fred and George.
'How did you do that?' Selena asks him.
'How do you know it was me my Starling Princess? And not the red-haired imps?' Loki thinks back.
Selena just rolls her eyes and doesn't comment. As Thor, Tony, Sirius and Ron begin moulting and they look at everyone confused about what just happened and why everyone was laughing.
"What?" they ask.
That just makes everyone laugh all the more.
And look at their food more wearily.
Selena heard Sirius going on about what he would do with her when he got his trial and how he would make her the Best Auror or Quidditch player.
Annoyed Selena waves her hand under the table and Sirius's clothing turns into girls.
Many look at Sirius with wide eyes. And many such as Tonks, George, Fred, Tony, Clint were all trying not to laugh. Even more so when Sirius didn't seem to notice the change.
Next Selena changed Sirius's hair to long black locks and long eye lashes.
Next Selena gets rid of his goatee.
Next Selena gives him earrings and makeup and a nose ring.
When he still hadn't noticed she gave him boobs.
Tonks, Fred and George were snickering quietly at each change trying not to blow the prank with their laughter.
Tony chokes on water as Sirius's breasts get larger.
Selena smirks proud at her handy work. Loki had buried his face in her hair to hide his laughter.
Sirius finally notices how strange everyone was acting.
"What?" Sirius asks coursing everyone to burst into gales laughter.
With that Tonks, Fred, George, Tony and Clint were on the floor as they laughed so hard.
"Sirius would you like a mirror?" Tonks laughs
"I think that is my clue to leave", Selena says trying to hid her laughter.
Loki walks her to the doorway and kisses her again passionately in front of everyone even through they were a little distracted by Sirius's change of gender.
"Why did you do that?" Selena asks breathless.
"Mistletoe", Loki says innocently pointing out another piece of Mistletoe that seemed to have appeared again after Molly had taken the last one down.
Selena laughs and out of the corner of her eye sees Sirius getting a mirror from a still laughing Tonks.
Sirius's eyes widen in horror at his appearance and everyone bursts into gales of laughter at his expression
His eyes widen when he notices that fact Fred and George were taking pictures.
He looks around for the culprit and sees his Goddaughter fleeing with the God of Mischief.
"SELENA! LOKI!"
Selena knew now would be a good time to flee.
Before he realised it was keyed to her magical signature and had a time limit before he would change back.
Was four days really that bad?
Why couldn't anyone see that?
