Happy 29th Birthday to Me and Happy 55th Birthday to my Dad!
This is the biggest mass update I have done
Chapter .7.
As Amy fired the gun…
New York…
Jack and River talked briskly through a floor of a building that was under construction. They were being followed by several Agents all willing to kill them.
River scans her arms and Jack's as they look around. They rush through the floor breathing heavily.
They hear metal clanging.
"I see you", River says to the strange alien as she writes a line on her arm.
"I see you too", Jack adds his gun drawn.
"Doctor Song, Jack Harkness…", a voice calls out and they both turn away from the creatures instantly forgetting them.
"Ready gorgeous?" Jack asks River.
"Whatever you say handsome", River replies with a smirk.
They start to run.
"Go, go, go", Canton calls.
"Don't move", he says as he corners River and Jack at the windows edge.
Jack points his gun at the Agents.
"It's over", Canton tells them, "Drop the weapon Harkness"
"They're here Canton", River tells him, "There everywhere"
"I know", Canton replies, "America's being invaded"
"You were invaded a long time ago", River tells him.
"America is occupied", Jack adds glaring at the Agents.
"Your coming with us Doctor Song, Harkness", Canton orders them his gun raised, "There is no way out this time"
Jack and River smirk at him.
"There's always a way out", River informs them.
Jack shoots wide. The Agents shoot as he covers River and they fall out the window. Bullets shredding through Jack's body like butter. River holds him tight.
And Canton could do nothing about it…
Area 51…
"We found Doctor Song and Jack Harkness", Canton tells the Doctor.
"These bricks what are they made off?" the Doctor asks, "Where are they?"
"Harkness fired his weapon and my Agents fired back killing him and sending them over the 50th floor", Canton tells the Doctor.
'That is so Jack', the Doctor thinks.
"I'd say zero-balance dwarf star alloy. The densest material in the universe. Nothing gets through that", the Doctor says looking at them building his prison, "You're building me the perfect prison", he then turns to Canton, "And it still won't be enough"
St. Louis, Missouri, United States
Rose runs through. She had been running for ages. Doing the Doctors plan even through she didn't like it. She had disobeyed him by not staying in the TARDIS while the others went out across the country. She needed to do something. As she was the only one the remembers these creatures.
But now the chase was coming to an end. Canton's Agents had her cornered on the St Louis Arch. Well they thought they had her cornered. But Rose was not Commander Tyler for nothing. And she hadn't gotten this far in life without picking up some tricks and having a few secrets. After all she didn't look her age.
"Miss Tyler surrender", Canton calls as his Agents surrounded her on the top of the Arch.
"It is Commander Tyler, Agent Delaware", Rose replies coolly.
"There is no such person", Canton replies.
"So do you remember what happened?" Rose asks already planning for what was to come.
"Come quietly Miss Tyler or my Agents will shoot you", Canton warns her.
"You know this is the way it has to be", Rose replies gravely pulling her gun on them.
'I can't believe I'm doing this. I should have returned to Torchwood after Utah', Rose thinks.
She felt energy sweep into her body. And the call of Wolves howling.
That's when the Agents fired their weapons on Rose and Rose tumbles off the 630ft Arch into the dirty Mississippi River below with seven bullets shredding her body…
Area 51…
Canton and his Agents drag two bodies into the prison built for the Doctor.
"Is there a reason you're doing this?" the Doctor asks Canton.
"I want you to know where you stand", Canton replies.
"In a cell", the Doctor replies.
"In a perfect cell. Nothing can penetrate these walls", Canton replies, "Not a sound, not radio wave"
He presses buttons on the wall and the doors shut leaving Canton alone with the Doctor and two bodies.
"Not the tiniest particle of anything", Canton adds calmly, "In here you're basically cut off from the rest of the Universe"
"So I guess they can't here us right?" Canton asks dropping the act.
"Good work, Canton. Door sealed?" the Doctor asks.
"You bet", Canton replies.
The Doctor shakes out of his chains as the two body bags bolt upright gasping.
"You ok?" the Doctor asks grabbing Rory.
As Rory and Amy come out of the body bags.
"Finally"
"These things could really use air holes", Rory exclaims.
"Never had a complaint before", Canton replies.
"Isn't it going to look odd that you're staying in here with us?" Amy asks Canton.
"Odd, but not alarming", Canton replies, "They know there's no way out of this place", Canton replies calmly.
"Exactly. Whatever they might think we're doing in here, they know we aren't going anywhere", the Doctor tells Amy and Rory.
He leans back hitting the TARDIS revealing itself.
He snaps his fingers.
"Shall we?" he asks opening the TARDIS.
"What about Doctor Song and Captain Harkness? She dove off a rooftop and my Agents shoot Jack?" Canton asks walking into the TARDIS like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Don't worry. She likes to jump and Jack likes to die", the Doctor replies making Canton, Rory and Amy confused.
Canton didn't know what to say about Commander Tyler yet.
"Amy, Rory, open all the doors to the swimming pool", the Doctor orders as he shuts the TARDIS doors and goes to the console.
He needed to find Rose. Where was she?
River angles Jack's and her body towards the TARDIS which had just martialized out of thin area. They land with a great splash right into the TARDIS pool.
River and Jack break the surface of the pool. Jack gasping to air as he come back to life.
"Really? Do you always have to get shot? You could have just jumped", River asks him.
"Where is the fun in that?" Jack asks cheekily.
River splashes him with a smile.
They climb out of the pool and grab towels and make their way into the console room. Everyone looking relieved to see the other.
"How are you alive? My Agents shot you", Canton asks looking at Jack like he had seen a ghost.
Jack smirks, "How do you know those bullets didn't miss me?"
"I saw them hit!" Canton replies.
"What can I say? Performance issues", Jack replies winking at Canton.
River hits his shoulder.
Jack looks around and notices one person missing.
"Where is Rose?" Jack asks.
"Canton when was the last time you saw Rose? You didn't bring her to me", the Doctor asks him.
Canton looks at the group uncomfortably.
He knew Rose was dead she couldn't have survived that fall and the hail of bullets that was sent at her. He had seen them hit and the blood before she fell into the Mississippi River. But no body.
"Well?" the Doctor asks staring at Canton.
"She is dead Doctor", Canton replies.
"Dead?" the Doctor asks.
"Dead, dead?" Amy asks.
"She pulled a gun and my Agents shot her off the top of the St Louis Arch. I saw the blood and she fell 630ft into the Mississippi River. And her body was never found", Canton replies looking sad.
He had liked Commander Tyler. He felt responsible for what happened too her.
"She can't be…", Amy states.
"She is. One of the seven bullets hit her head. There was nothing I could do", Canton replies.
The Doctor felt the life had been sucked out of him. Rose was dead? This wasn't the plan. Rose can't be dead. She just couldn't be.
He sunk down in front of the console. Amy was in tears with Rory trying to comfort her. River looked at Jack but he couldn't read her expression. But he DID see sadness in her eyes.
Jack looked at the mourning group with a neutral expression. He knew something they didn't. Besides the fact that Rose could see these creatures. There was something more to Rose then anything their group could ever know.
He couldn't say anything. Rose would kill him for real if he did.
'What is your plan, Rosie?'
