Introduction

A series of One-Shots about Artemis and Apollo switching between the two of them. Sibling fluff.

Artemis: One

Warning: Rape, Miscarriage

Thalia had been watching her lady closely for awhile. Somethings had changed about Artemis and she didn't believe it had something to do with Apollo's punishment. Anyway Artemis had been changing between her two forms the whole time Apollo was being punished. But this was something different. And she just couldn't pinpoint it.

To Thalia Artemis seemed withdrawn, shaky, tired, upset, she sometimes jumped at sudden noises and she seemed scared. And she didn't seem to be sleeping. And Thalia was sure she heard a few nightmares from Artemis's tent when it seemed Artemis had finally succumbed to sleep.

Thalia was talking to Reyna late that afternoon while they were on watch when a loud, sharp cry of pain and fear was heard from Artemis's tent. They both rush to the tent. With other Hunters running behind them.

They arrive to see Artemis curled up in the corner of her tent holding her stomach.

"Milady!" Thalia cries and rushes to her but Artemis flinches back.

"No", Artemis says, "Don't come any closer"

"But…", Thalia starts.
"NO!" Artemis cries ordering Thalia to stay back.

Artemis didn't want anyone getting close to her. Only one person she believed she could trust right now.

"What do you need?" Reyna asks.

"I need Apollo. Please get Apollo", Artemis begs.

She couldn't stand this anymore. She just needed her brother. She knew what was happening. But it didn't make it any easier. And all she wanted was the comfort of her brother.

"My Lady Apollo can't come he is still human", Thalia states worried that Artemis had forgotten that fact.
"I need Apollo", Artemis cries and the Hunters see a tear fall from her eye.

That scared them more then anything. Artemis never cried.

"Reyna watch her I'm going to make a Iris call", Thalia says knowing she needed back up.

Reyna nods and Thalia goes outside the tent and sends an Iris message to the Council.

"What can we do for you Thalia?" Athena asks after they had noticed the message.

"We need help here", Thalia states.
"Why?" Zeus asks.

"Artemis is in a lot of pain. She is curled up in the corner of her tent and I don't think she can more. She is asking for Apollo", Thalia tells them.

"Apollo can't…"

"Why is she in pain?" Hestia asks.

"We don't know. But lately Artemis has been acting strangely", Thalia tells them.

"Strange how?" Poseidon asks.

"She has been distant and withdrawn. She jumps at any sudden noises. She flinches from contact and has not been sleeping. When she sleeps she has nightmares. Because we have been hearing her cry out. She also has been shaky and upset. More so then usual", Thalia reports.

"More then usual?" Demeter asks.

"She has been upset since Apollo has been punished. She has been switching between her two forms. But there is more to it now. But the thing is…", Thalia was hesitated to continue.
"The thing is?" Hermes asks.

"She is crying in pain", Thalia replies, "And basically begging for Apollo. We need you all here"

"We are coming", Athena replies.

And the Iris message disappears.

The Gods arrive seconds later worried about the Moon Goddess. What Thalia was telling them didn't sound like Artemis like all. Why would see be so upset? And why did she seem to want Apollo when she always seemed to be annoyed with him? What has changed?

Thalia leads them to Artemis's tent and they see Artemis curled up in the corner with her arm around her stomach. She seemed sick.

"Has there been any change?" Thalia asks Reyna.
"No. She just said she wants Apollo. But she had been clutching her stomach", Reyna replies.

"Artemis?" Zeus asks starting to come forward but stops when Artemis flinches back.

Artemis looks at them and they were shocked but what they read in her eyes. She looked upset, pained, dull and her eyes lacked life.

"Artemis what's wrong?" Hestia asks coming forward slightly.

"I want Apollo", Artemis states.
"Artemis we can't give you that. We can get Asclepius for you", Hermes offers, "I can go and get him back in minutes"

"NO! I need Apollo. I need my brother. Please", Artemis starts to beg.

"Daughter we…", Zeus starts.

"I don't need him as a God. He can stay human as long as he is by my side. I just want my brother. I want my Big Brother", Artemis begs shocking them by what she just said.

"Artemis…", Zeus starts.

"Please Father I need Apollo", Artemis begs.

"Hang on Artemis", Athena says softly.

The Gods go outside the tent.

"I say we bring Apollo here", Hestia states.
"We can't be is being punished and we can't be seen to be making exceptions", Hera argues.
"Haven't you got a heart?" Hades asks his sister.

"Look who's talking", Hera retorts.

"That is debatable", Hephaestus mutters.

"Father I don't see the harm in bringing a human Apollo here", Athena advisers Zeus.
"After all she is actually begging for him", Hermes points out.
"But does she really deserve to be let off?" Aphrodite asks, "Could she be playing us?"
"Artemis is never one to be playing anyone", Demeter points out.

"And she looked desperate. I haven't even seen my niece like that", Poseidon states.

Zeus sighs he had been thinking. He had never seen his daughter like this. And he had never seen her so desperate to have her brother with her. Something wasn't right here. And it looked like only Apollo would get the answers. He didn't have to give Apollo back his Godhood.

"All those in favour of bringing Artemis here?" Zeus asks.

Poseidon, Athena, Hermes, Demeter, Hestia, Hephaestus, and Hades raise their hands. Hera, Aphrodite and Ares don't and Dionysus had stayed at Camp.

"Then it is decided. Athena and Hermes go and get Apollo. And hurry about it", Zeus orders.

They both nod and flash away to Camp Half-Blood.

They arrive around dinner time and their arrival was met with startled looks. They immediately spotted Apollo and his companion Meg.

"Lady Athena, Lord Hermes what can we do for you?" Chiron asks.

"We need to speak with our brother in private", Hermes states.

Apollo looks startled by that.

"He is not going anywhere without me", Meg says standing up to the two Gods.

"Fine", Hermes says knowing time might be of the essence.

"Apollo, Meg we need to speak to you alone", Athena orders.

"Use the Big House", Chiron offers.
"Thank you Chiron. And you might be without Apollo and Meg for a few hours. But someone will let you know", Athena replies.

Chiron nods and Apollo and Meg get up and follow Athena and Hermes to the Big House.

Apollo felt something was wrong and he had thought it all day. He felt a sense of dread all day.

"What is going on?" Apollo asks.

"It is Artemis", Athena says getting straight to the point.

Apollo looks worried.

"What is wrong with Arty?" Apollo demands.

"She is not herself", Hermes replies.
"What do you mean?" Apollo asks.

"Thalia reported her being withdrawn, tried, upset and have not been sleeping well and having nightmares. And she is…", Athena trails off.

"She is?" Apollo prompts.

"She is begging for you", Athena says.

Apollo's eyes widen. Artemis wasn't one to beg. He knew that. Hell everyone knew that. But what everyone didn't know was that they were a lot closer then what they made everyone out to be. For Artemis to show that means something was terribly wrong.

He knew he should have paid more attention to his feelings of dread.

"I need to get to her", Apollo says immediately.

"We are here to take you to her now", Athena replies.

"But what about this quest and his punishment?" Meg asks.

"He is not being made a God again. Artemis did say she only needed him human and wasn't asking for him to be given his Godhood back. So Apollo's punishment won't be ended yet", Athena replies.

"I need to go", Apollo says again.
"What about me?" Meg asks.

Even through she kind of understood. But at the same time, she didn't. From what she had seen Artemis didn't really like having her brother around.

"You can come too", Athena decides not wanting an argument.

It was the last thing they needed right now.

"Now we must go. We have already been too long", Hermes says.

Apollo and Meg take Athena's and Hermes hands and they flash them to the Hunters Camp.

The Hunters were all pacing the camp looking at Artemis's tent in worry. Hephaestus, Hera, Ares, Demeter, Aphrodite, Hades were all waiting for them outside the tent.

"Any change?" Athena asks.

"No. She still won't let anyone near her. And we have bought Asclepius here, but he can't get close enough to access her", Hades replies.

"Don't know what she is complaining about. All this fuss for nothing", Hera sniffs.

Apollo growls and they sense some Godly power within him stir.

"Don't say a bad word about my sister Stepmother. Or you won't like the consequences when I am back to power", Apollo replies.

"Are you threatening me!?" Hera shrieks.

"You bet I am", Apollo says glaring at her.

"You little…", Hera starts.
"Enough! Apollo get in here", Zeus interrupts them.

"But he just…", Hera starts.

"I don't care. At the moment my daughters welfare is of more concern", Zeus replies in a rare show of concern for one of his children.

That surprised Apollo. But then he thought about it briefly and realised that Artemis must be bad for even their Father to be a concern. Apollo puts those thoughts out of his head and heads into his sisters tent. He was shocked to see a shaking, curled up form of his sister. Huddled in the corner of her tent.

The only ones in here were Hestia, Poseidon, Asclepius, Thalia and Reyna. But they were near the entrance of the tent.

"I can't get close to her", Asclepius tells his Father.
"Let me", Apollo says.

He slowly approaches his sister.
"Arty?" Apollo asks softly.

"Apolly?" Artemis asks looking up and everyone was shocked not just by her form of addressing Apollo but the tears in her eyes.

"Yes Little One it is me", Apollo replies with the nickname he used when she was scared or upset.

And she seemed to be both at the moment.

"What is going on?" Apollo asks kneeling down to her level.

She only flinched a little. He took that as a good sign.

"I need you Apolly", Artemis says switching languages to their own private one.

All close twins had this kind of language. And it was surprising Artemis choice to show it now. But maybe not. Considering the state she was in she would want this private.

He put his hand on the floor near her and felt something wet he looks at his fingers to see blood.

"Little One why is there blood here? What is wrong Little One?" Apollo asks again.

Artemis sobs, "I am…was pregnant"

Apollo's eyes widen. Out of everything she could had said he would never had guessed this one.

"How?" Apollo asks gently.

Many how's came to mind. And he didn't like most of them.
"I was…attacked", Artemis admits with a sob.

But before he had a change to process it her free hand come to his face and he saw it all. He saw her frantic over his punishment and weak. And her being attacked by Deimos and Phobos. They raped his sister! Then he saw how she tried to pick herself up but was terrified they would come back and do it again. But found out she was pregnant.

Apollo's eyes widen then darken. Oh he was going to kill them. And it he would do it in the most painful way possible. Godly power bursts from him and now just creates a powerful blast to make everyone back up. But creates a protective shield around Artemis and himself. And the amazing thing was that Artemis didn't flinch from him.

He sits down next to her and pulls her close gently. Resting her against his chest.

He knew what was happening and there was nothing he could do. Not even if he truly got his powers back. It was already too late. His sister was miscarrying her baby. And he knew why she had been so upset and weak and not to mention her switching her forms all the time had made it so she couldn't carry the baby. The baby really didn't have a chance with her so stressed even with her domain of Childbirth.

"Oh Arty I am so, so very sorry", Apollo whispers kissing her forehead.

"It hurts Big Brother", Artemis whimpers.

"I know. Let it out Arty. Cry, sob, scream you will feel better. I won't leave you. I am here and I am not going anywhere. Grieve Little One", Apollo promises.

Artemis felt her brothers powers surround her and for the first time in months she felt safe. She knew other people were still here, but she also knew Apollo won't let them anywhere near her at this moment.

At this moment she was untouchable.

So she decided to let her be vulnerable. She began to sob. As she grieved the lose of her baby.

Apollo started to rock her whispering words of comfort in her ear. Saying how sorry he was and how much he loved her. He told her how those bastards would never touch her again and they would never be able to enjoy time with a woman again if he had anything to do with it.

But he felt this was his fault. If he hadn't gotten punished she wouldn't have been so weak. She won't have been raped. And she wouldn't have lost her baby.

"No your fault Big Brother", she chokes out.

"I believe it is", Apollo replies.

"No it isn't", Artemis replies.

"Lets leave this argument for now and get you cleaned up, in bed and with some pain killers. I will stay with you for as long as you need", Apollo promises.

"You promise?" Artemis replies sounding childish.

"I promise", Apollo replies.
"Brother you are always there when I need you the most", Artemis whispers.

"And I always will be. No matter if I am Immortal or Mortal", Apollo replies.

Apollo pushed everyone out. Not bothering to answer any of their questions. If Artemis wanted him to them what was going on she would tell him.

He got Artemis cleaned up and in bed with some painkillers and got onto the bed with her and pulled her into a hug.

In which she felt so safe. For the first time she believed everything would be ok.

"Thank you", Artemis replies snuggling into his chest.

"Always", Apollo replies.

"And forever?"

"And forever"
