After they took care of the first waves of these bird monsters Naruto just shook his head. He was trained to be a shinobi, yet he wasn't trained for this. He did know that he had to push on no matter what.

He would never have that thought he would be fighting against monsters like these. These things that were different than him, yet he did not hate them for being what they were. He just wished he did not have to keep fighting them like this.

He was not someone that could help someone for what they were born as, he did not care demons or humans due to his caring side. At the same time, he refused to let anyone hurt the people that he cared about and would fight to the death to protect them at all costs of himself.

He did not understand just why they wanted to kill them this badly, it made no sense to him. He did know that monsters were not mindless so why would they go this far and what for what reasons if any. He wanted to know all the reasons and right in the middle of this battle, he could not seem to understand any of it.

He also could not believe just how many there were. It was like fighting an army and he noticed that Anko was getting worn out. She was young and it was only normal for someone that had less history of fighting to get worn out like that.

His eyes looked over to see that both Taki and Ingrid were both fine and could keep on fighting even longer if needed. He did know that the two of them were trained warriors and had fought in many battles over their years.

Then he realized that the only one that he had to worry about was his girlfriend and he did hope that he could keep her safe. He refused to let anything happen to her no matter what because he had cared greatly about her.

"Why are there so many of these bird freaks here? It's like there is army in front of us with this many of them." Naruto asked Taki, she just looked back at him.

"I honestly don't know why because they are far from where their nests are." Taki honestly answered him.

"Normally they would never go this far from them and yet here they are. Something about their eyes shows fear yet why? I just don't get how the monsters keep changing so much lately, it's like something behind all of it." Taki told him while getting ready for next waves.

They noticed other waves coming over to them and Naruto just told Ingrid to keep Anko safe no matter what. He started to rush forward into the next group using his blade to cut down one after the other. He did not know how many he had to beat before they would give up. He had only known that he would keep everyone safe no matter what, he refused to let anyone die on him.

'If they want to fight so badly then so be it, I'll take them down." Naruto said while holding his katana close to him.

Everything seemed to freeze almost like his world around him stopped moving along with his very own self. He slowly started to see himself in a snow-covered area and no one was with him anymore. He did not know of these monsters had done this to him or someone else was behind all of this.

"Who the hell are you and where the hell are you!" Naruto yelled out yet he heard nothing.

He started to walk in the snow that did not seem to be cold at all, he didn't understand why. His eyes scanned the place to notice ice pullers and snow for miles. He kept going till he started to feel the ground underneath him start to shake.

Before he could even move, he started to see a massive sized ice dragon flying right for him, he just stared back scared for first time. Because he had never seen anything like this before and the size of this dragon was just too much for him.

"So, you are my wielder are you not?" The dragon started to speak to him. "If you then say my name already before you end up dying to these bird monsters." The dragon had warned him in a harsh tone.

"Hyorinmaru…." Before Naruto had known what was going on he was back in the middle of the battlefield.

His katana had turned into a new look with a chain at the end of it and he caused an ice dragon to shoot out from it. It had turned every single one of the bird monsters into ice which Ingrid then used magic to shatter them all at once. He could not believe that his sword had the soul of a dragon inside of it.

"How the hell did you do that master?" Ingrid was the first one to ask him.

"I don't know, I just met a huge ice dragon that talked to me. I guess my sword has the soul of a dragon inside of it. I thought I was going crazy when I kept hearing someone's voice in my head all the time yet now it makes sense." He had admitted back to them.

"We don't have time to waste because we need to rush to the village fast!" Taki had yelled before rushing ahead.

Naruto along with the other two women followed suit, they didn't want her to go ahead without any help. Naruto's eyes stared at her back because he did know she cared for her home even so she could not rush off like that. If she needed their help, they wouldn't be there in time to help her if she had gone too far ahead of them alone like that.

When they made it to the village, they could see there was no sign of monsters or fighting which Taki smiled at. She was glad that her home was safe and that there was no more fighting going on, even if she did know soon there would be. There always was fighting and it was something she hated so much at this point.

Naruto moved to sit down against one of the houses before closing his eyes, he wanted to talk to this dragon. He did not understand how his blade could reform into something new like that or the powers that it had. There was only one to find out and that was by talking to the dragon inside of the sword itself.

When he got back to the ice and snow area, he noticed the dragon was still there and he remembered its name once more. Hyorinmaru was this dragon, his eyes were staring back down at Naruto, he started to walk up to the massive sized dragon.

"What kind of powers do you have because so far it's like you're an ice-based attacker yet the sword itself changed forms. I have never seen a sword with a soul in it or could change like that at all." Naruto admitted back to the dragon.

"There are many things I bet you never seen in your short life but only few people have seen these kinds of blades. It is rare for any weapon to have a soul in it, we are living beings, we are not simply a tool so don't ever forget that young one." He told also warned Naruto.

"I won't ever forget that because I never would think of anyone as tools. My whole life my village looked at me like a monster for having a demon sealed inside of my stomach." Naruto admitted back to the dragon.

Naruto found himself back in the normal world with his eyes looking to see Taki playing with children. They had seemed to be happy to have Taki back in the village even so he did not know how long till the next attack would be.

He started to look around the village to see just what kind of place this was, he did notice that Taki really cared for everyone. He wished that he had someone like that back when was younger, someone to play with him.

He did notice that it really was small village and it had good number of people in it, he did wonder how long they could last. They needed help and he did not know how much help his village could really give them. He wanted to help them the best he could even, so he didn't really know how to do that.

He did notice there was a woman sitting against a tree. She had long black hair that went down to her rear with an miko outfit on. He did also notice there was a katana beside her, when he got closer her eyes opened. Two violet eyes staring back into his blue eyes, he did know she was beautiful.

"Just who are you? I can see the headband on your head, but does that mean Konoha is willing to help us out?" She had asked, her voice was soft to the ears.

"I was asked to see just how bad it is before the rest will be sent. Just who are you miss?" He had asked her.

"My name is Tomoe and I'm the miko of this village for the time being. So, you need to be filled in on what's going on then?" She replied to him.

"I know so far that monsters seem to be attacking this village, yet I don't know their numbers or what kind of monsters." Naruto to move to sit down beside her.

"There are many kinds of monsters out there and many of each kind. Everyone in this village is fighting for their lives every day, this help needs to get here fast." Her eyes just stared at him hard.

"Again, like I said I need to gather information so I can give it back to the Hokage. He will not help till he knows what his shinobi will be up against. He's a leader after all and that's how things like this are dealt with." He had told the miko.

"Fine then tonight I'll give you all the so-called information you need. For now, I need to see if any monsters are close to the village." She told him before leaving him alone standing there.

"Please forgive her she just trying to help everyone, she doesn't realize that everyone has their own duties." Taki had told him.

"No need because I can understand why she's mad, anyone would be mad that they have to wait longer for help. I do also know I can't just give nothing and have my people rush in blindly into war with monsters like that." He responded back to her.

"That's incredibly wise of you to think and your girlfriend is sleeping in my house. Why don't you come with me, so you know where it is?" She asked him while smiling at him.

"Sure, beside I still need to get my reward for winning our bet." He joked back at her which caused her to blush.

He had followed her to a small house where he walked inside along with her. He noticed that this house had two small bedrooms and he slowly moved her against the wall. She just looked down at him with blush on her face before his eyes stared up at her.

"It's about time and I know this will be fun to watch." The fox spoke to him.

Slowly he moved his lips against hers and she did not fight back because she was someone that kept her word. She lost the bet, yet she was going to do what she agreed to even if she did wish it were in bedroom not against wall that anyone could see if they walked in.

"Take it off then we'll go to the other bedroom." He ordered her.
