Characters read A different Rewind

"Hey look there's Raftel!" Luffy said looking at the front of his boat with a wide grin on his face. Finally they had made it. It had been five years since he had taken down Kaido"
"Since he had what?!" The Big Mom pirates were in an uproar and stunned. This gangly thing had taken down Kaido? But when!? Surely they would have heard something about that!
"…but they had finally found the last red Poneglyph and made it to Raftel."
"You mean Laugh Tale?" Rayleigh asked grinning slightly at the boy who had the mark on his back. It seemed like almost no one had noticed the marks on each of the crew. No one but him and his wife and a few of the others around the room.
"We finally made it." The World Greatest Swordsman Zoro said smiling as he saw the fog covered island getting closer."
"Oh? So I lose my title in the future? Hmph." Mihawk smirked as he observed the green haired man who smirked back at him.
"It was one hell of a fight Mihawk-sensei and I nearly died multiple times." Zoro said smirking at the other man who smirked wider. Finally something to ease his boredom!
"Up Daddy! Wanna see!" The little three year old girl held her arms up for her daddy to pick her up, causing Luffy to laugh and swing his daughter up onto his shoulders."
"That's me right daddy?!" Pixie asked making her father nod his head.
"It has to be princess! You were the only one born when we got to Raftel!" Luffy said beaming at his daughter who beamed brightly back at him.
"So that's the finish line huh." Nami said as she began to map out the ocean currents and all around the island, barely restraining herself from leaping ahead like Luffy usually did to map out the final island in the New World."
"The Final Island. Did you map every island in the New World?" Monte-d'Or asked and Nami grinned at him.
"Of course! I made a map of the whole world during those five years!"
"Looks like we made it Sunny. Super!" Franky said with a grin and tears in his eyes, he finally saw his ship to the finish line."
"Yeah that was a hell of a Suuup-per feeling!" Franky said with his usual pose.
"Yohohoho! This calls for a feast and a song!" Brook cried as he scooped up his violin and began playing a song for them, causing the crew to cheer as he played Bink's Sake."
"Gather up all of the crew!" Brook began earning a cheer from the Straw Hats before Shakky coughed politely into one hand.
"I don't usually mind letting someone play around a bit, I love your energy, but do you mind if we finish this chapter first?" Shakky asked smiling at them and the Straw Hats at least looked a little sheepish as Robin began to read again.
"Daddy king now." Luffy's three year old daughter, little Pixie, said clapping her hands happily."
"And you're a princess!" Luffy said kissing his daughters head and then kissing the heads of his other children.
"And you're our little princesses and prince as well!" Luffy assured them as he nuzzled their heads, Linlin laughing as she nuzzled him back affectionately.
"And that makes you my little pirate princess and your mommy my Queen." Luffy said covering his daughters face with kisses and making her giggle while her mother laughed as she stepped over to her husband."
"You've always been the Queen of my heart." Luffy said to his wife who snorted slightly and gave him a fond smile.
"Luffy we already have four children and I'm pregnant again. You don't need to flatter me." Amande said making Luffy grin at her.
"You deserve every bit of it!"
"Not to mention the new baby is going to be another prince or princess of Pirates." The new Pirate Queen said with a smile and a hand on her belly which flat at the moment. They had learned about the new baby just barely a week ago, their second baby."
"Second, third and fourth." Amande said smiling softly down at her children.
"So wait…you were pregnant before you ever went to find him!?" Prim asked staring at her older sister in disbelief and making Amande shrug her shoulders a bit.
"You'll have to read and see."
"Out of all of the Supernova of course it would be you to become King." Jewelry Bonney said from where she was standing by Robin, the Straw Hats having rescued her from the Marines four years ago and she had just…sort of never left."
"Why would I? You guys are a riot! Besides it wasn't like I had anywhere else to go or be." Jewelry said grinning at them and they just grinned back at her.
"Well I am the last known reader of the Poneglyphs and I'd never lead anyone else to the finish line. My captain is the only Pirate King I will accept."
"Yes I don't know how that rumor about three eyed people being able to read a poneglyph started but unless they're trained and taught to read the old language like the Archaeologists of Ohara were then there's no way for them to do so." Robin said shaking her head and Big Mom narrowed her eyes at the woman, as did Kaido. So they'd need Robin to make it to Laugh Tale huh?
"Robin said with a smile as she looked at Raftel, the True History will be on the island. She couldn't wait to finally read it."
"I managed to get through the first paragraph before we were sent back." Robin said sighing at that.
"Don't worry Robin. This time you'll be able to read it all!" Luffy assured his nakama who smiled at him.
"Alright the food is almost ready." Sanji called from where he was grilling a fish from the North Blue while also chopping up a South Blue fish for a salad. They had found the All Blue not too far away and Sanji had stocked up on fish and had Nami make a specific map just for the All Blue, a map that she let him keep and he carried it with him everywhere. He couldn't wait to sail back to the Baratie and show the old geezer."
"Hell yeah! You guys should have seen the geezer's face when I showed him that map and told him about how we had found it!" Sanji said grinning widely at that and he was clutching the map in his hand now, his other hand on top of Sora's head.
"You remembered to make baby healthy food for the Queen didn't you?" Chopper asked frowning at Sanji who pouted slightly at being reminded that his idiot rubber brained captain got more love from a woman than he did."
"And that idiot never even showed interest in a woman before!" Sanji was sobbing now, his mood shifting fast at the reminder, while Luffy laughed.
"Because the only one who caught my interest was Amande! She's the only Pirate Queen for me!" Luffy said and Amande blushed a bit but smiled as she leaned her head on his shoulder, his body stretched so that he was a little taller than her now.
"Yep. Got it right here." Sanji said motioning to a plate that was almost as stacked up high as Luffy's was but was filled with food that would contain all the nutrients needed to ensure that the unborn baby was healthy and strong when he or she was born."
"I have a big appetite…honestly have you guys met my mother recently? I get it naturally." Amande said shrugging when some of the other pirates in the room stared at her in disbelief at how high that plate was stacked.
"Honestly you guys. I'm barely even a month along." The new Pirate Queen said shaking her head bemused but she was smiling. She didn't mind them being protective of Pixie or the baby, but she did get annoyed when they got so protective and smothering of her. She was a full grown woman for Sea's sake!"
"A full grown woman carrying precious cargo." Luffy said and he kissed her on the lips briefly when she opened her mouth to say something.
"You're still carrying precious cargo." Luffy said wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close, stretching out his legs and neck a bit so that he was just a little taller than her. He knew that while she liked being so tall, she liked it better sometimes when he stretched so that he was taller than her and she could bury her face in his chest."
"Mmm. I like being able to be held and actually feel safe." Amande said admitting that with a small blush and smile as she cuddled into her husbands side.
"Mama up!" Pixie said reaching her arms up to her mother who picked her up and held her baby girl close to her chest.
"We're about to dock!" Jimbe called from the ships wheel, causing the small family to look up in time for the ship to pull to a stop and the anchor to drop.
"I can see the Poneglyph! With your permission captain, I'll take Nami and go over there." Robin said looking from the large rock to her captain who grinned at her."
"Sorry you couldn't read the whole thing Robin." Luffy apologized to his Nakama who merely waved it off.
"I'll be able to do it again so no worries captain. Besides being able to do everything over and do it right this time? That's worth a lot more to me than the True History." Robin said and her crew nodded in agreement at that, each one of them dead serious and Luffy gave her a soft smile.
"Go fulfill your dream Robin." Luffy said causing her to smile brightly, grab the already prepared navigator and the both of them dashed off of the boat."
"We went running and acting like our captain there." Nami said with a laugh as she recalled the fast pace and rather a few of the more reckless stunts she and Robin had done to get to that Poneglyph as fast as possible.
"Shall we Captain?" Jimbe asked smiling at his captain and captains wife.
"Let's go!" Luffy said picking his wife and child up in his arms and jumping over the side of the ship onto the mist covered island."
"You can actually pick up and carry sister Amande?" Brulee asked eyeing Luffy curiously and making him grin.
"She's as light as a feather." Luffy said and Amande blushed and scowled a bit.
"I've seen you literally pick up and throw a marine battleship, everyone is light to you." Amande said playfully and Luffy shrugged, she wasn't wrong after all.
"Ouch!" Luffy and his wife both cried out immediately when their feet hit the shore, and immediately the entire crew was in battle positions around them."
"Yeah we heard that from the Poneglyph and we didn't even have time to think or realize what happened before we were in position." Nami said recalling hearing her captain and Queen cry out and how her body had moved without thinking about it.
"Mommy daddy…back hurts." Pixie whined as she cuddled closer to her mommy who had her eyes narrowed as she glared darkly around the area.
"Mommy and daddy felt it too princess." Luffy said as he set his wife on her feet and glared around the area searching for whoever or whatever hurt them.
"Luffy your back!" Nami was the one to gasp out as she saw her captains bare back, the straw hat wearing goofball having decided to forgo his vests and shirts when his wife once made a mention of how much she liked seeing him shirtless."
"Of course I like seeing you shirtless. Look at those muscles and that body." Amande said and she openly raked her eyes up and down her husbands form, more than a few of the other women in the room privately agreeing with her.
"As the crew and queen quickly looked to see what was on Luffy's back, he checked on his daughters.
"These marks…they must be what happens when the new King lands upon these shores…" Robin said humming thoughtfully as she saw the black and gold mark across her captains toned back that read 'Second Pirate King' in an elegant scrawl with a blood red and black crown above it."
"Really? I don't recall Roger ever having that mark?" Whitebeard asked looking confused and curious as he glanced over at Rayleigh.
"He did, he just kept it hidden under his shirt and captains coat. Not out of shame but because he just didn't see any reason to advertise what everyone already knew. The marks disappeared when he died though." Rayleigh said since he was one of the most knowledgeable about that.
"And since Pixie was here too she got the mark of the princess." Luffy said letting the others see the 'Pirate Princess' and the small tiara on his daughters back."
"So since I wasn't there or born before he died I didn't have any markings." Ace said glancing down at his bare chest and then over his shoulder at his back which had the Whitebeard mark on it.
"Over the course of a moment or two the rest of the crew gave startled exclamations when they found different writings and symbols on different parts of their bodies such as Zoro having 'King's Swordsman' and a katana inked onto his chest. Bonney was the only one not inked…well not that they knew about. It looked like she vanished into the fog and mists."
"I got sent back before any of you did. Although I did get a mark!" Bonney said and she rolled up her shirt sleeves enough to show the black inked 'Kings Helper' on her arms.
"Look out there's a strong wind!" Nami warned when she felt the weather patterns change sharply all of a sudden, distracting her from the Kings Navigator and picture of a map that was inked onto her stomach."
"How can she tell the change in weather patterns that fast?" More than one of the others in the room wondered about that while the Straw Hat Grand Fleet were happy to just sit and listen to the tale of their King.
"This is no normal wind!" Robin exclaimed at the first blast of wind that sent Chopper flying away, with Nami going flying soon after."
"I'm surprised Robin didn't try to punch the wind. No one sends Chopper flying without going through her first." Luffy said with a small grin to his archaeologist who blushed embarrassed.
"That was one time!" Robin said defensively.
"You literally picked a fight with the wind Robin!" Nami said and the woman blushed a little harder.
"Well I won didn't I?" Robin asked before she began reading again to stop the others from adding in anything.
"A wind of change. I've heard about this…yohohoho! Don't fight it! Just hang on to each other as much as you caaaaaannnnn." Brook's words cried at them as he was blown away as well with Sanji not far behind."
"Yes you don't get to be as old as I am on these seas without seeing and hearing about some strange and amazing things. Even in the Floridian Triangle there were some strange and amazing things." Brook said nodding his skull in agreement.
"Hang on to daddy tight Princess. We're going to try and grab mommy." Luffy said as he held his daughter close and refused to let go, trying to struggle against the wind to reach his wife who was holding her ground as much as she could while Robin and Franky were sent flying next."
"She should have tried to fight the wind." Franky said teasingly and Robin gave him a glare as she lifted one hand threateningly.
"I'll shut up now." Franky said sweating as he shifted away from Robin a bit.
"We'll find each other again! We'll all meet up again like last time! I'll find a way to signal you!" Luffy called to Zoro and Jimbe as they were sent flying, Luffy was almost to his wife's side now.
"Luffy! Pixie!" She tried to grab her husband and child, she really did, but reaching out for them instead of holding onto her sword like she had been to keep from being sent flying…proved to be her undoing."
"Yeah not my best moment but honestly I couldn't think of anything but grabbing you two." Amande said wincing a bit as she looked at her husband and eldest child.
"Luffy's eyes widened and he jumped after her, making sure to keep a tight grip on his daughter as he reached for his wife. His Queen."
"I missed her hand by that much." Luffy said holding his fingers barely a centimeter apart to show how close he was to grabbing his wife.
"Could you have imagined how that would have went? I just vanish from Tottoland completely one day and appear several weeks later in the East Blue somehow?" Amande asked and the others all exchanged look.
"That would have been hilarious."
"The last thing either of them heard before they blacked out was Luffy crying out her name.
"Amande!"
"Yeah we all blacked out when we were sent flying." Nami said sighing and honestly she half wished she as still awake when she was flying. She had wanted to map and memorize those winds damn it!
"I was going to try and meet up with you guys by the way but I honestly had no clue where the hell ya'll would be so I figured I'd wait on Saobody for you…" Bonney said glancing at them and making them look sheepish at her unimpressed look.
"Then after I got there I remembered about you punching the Celestial Dragon and somehow getting to Marineford in time for the execution." Bonney said looking at Luffy who grinned at her.
"I regret nothing!" Luffy said proudly and his crew shook their heads fondly at him.
"That mean bubble man who was hurting nice Mr. Hachi?" Pixie asked looking up at her daddy who nodded her head.
"That was a good punch daddy!" Pixie said and Luffy laughed while Amande sighed fondly.
"Thank you princess! Don't worry! Daddy will show you how to punch too!" Luffy said grinning at his children who all cheered at that. They wanted to be big and strong just like their mommy and daddy.
The book flashed before appearing in Amande's hand as she smiled at her husband and children.
"Chapter 2."
