Characters read A different Rewind

"When Luffy came to the first thing he noticed was his daughter curled up into his side and that his wife wasn't in bed with him."
"That's nothing new. She gets up early all the time to train or just because she can't sleep." Luffy said smiling at his wife who smiled sheepishly in return.
"I try but it seems like I've been getting lazier and lazier with each passing day recently." Amande said and Luffy gave her a laugh.
"That's because the little ones have been pinning you down with cuddles or because you're so tired from the pregnancy!" Luffy said and to prove his point the three youngest were all cuddled in their mothers lap.
"The second thing he noticed was that he wasn't on the Sunny. In fact…it looked like he was back in the treehouse. Glancing out of the window, he confirmed that it was exactly where he was.
He was back on Dawn Island.
"Daddy where's mommy?" Pixie asked as she woke up and looked around for her mother."
"That's also nothing new. Such a cute little mama's girl." Luffy said tickling his eldest who laughed and wiggled to try and get free.
"I don't know sweetie. The strange wind must have blown us to different islands. It's okay though because mommy is strong. She'll be able to protect herself until you and daddy can find her and protect her." Luffy said not wanting his daughter to get worried as he picked her up and began to climb down the ladder."
"Yes dear. I can protect myself." Amande said giving her husband a stern look and he gave her one right back.
"I'm not apologizing for being overprotective of the only woman in the world who I love." Luffy said and Amande blushed at that and looked away, back to the book, while the crew snickered at how embarrassed she could get.
"Brat! Who's the little brat?" A familiar voice yelled from behind Luffy causing him to look shocked for a moment. Dadan? But…she had died protecting Makino and her baby from the marines."
Luffy lowered his head in respect, Ace and Sabo doing the same and each of them were furious with the Marines. After all Dadan might be a bandit but she was their mom. The only mom they had known or claimed as their own.
"Dadan?" Luffy asked shocked as he stared at his foster mother while Pixie tilted her head at the new lady curiously.
"Daddy who that?" Pixie asked making Dadan's jaw drop open at the title the small snake-neck girl had used for the rubber boy who suddenly looked a lot older than the bandit leader remembered."
"Yeah coming back in time with our older bodies was a hell of a loop." Nami said shaking her head as she remembered suddenly being in the past but having her New World skills and body.
"That's Dadan sweetheart. She helped raise daddy when he was little." Luffy said causing Pixie to blink slightly.
"She daddy's mommy?" Pixie asked making Luffy shrug just a bit and smile sheepishly.
"Only mommy I ever knew. That makes her your baa-chan doesn't it?" Luffy asked suddenly realizing that. Dadan had died before Pixie was born, Pixie only heard of some stories about the woman. This was the first time his little girl was meeting pretty much the only grandmother who would accept her."
"You're not wrong." Amande said frowning and glaring at her mother who looked confused at this. So in the past she hadn't accepted Amande's daughter? Was that why Amande was on the sea with Luffy and his crew?
"Baa-chan was nice and silly too! She cried lots but she was smiling and she played with me lots. She's going to love you three." Pixie was telling her little brothers and sisters who were all wide eyed at the thought of another Baa-chan.
"Sea only knew that Big Mom wouldn't.
"How do you have a five year old daughter already?!" Dadan yelled at Luffy while Pixie grinned toothily, showing her tiny fangs that she inherited from her mother. With her Snake-neck and the fact that her mother was incredibly tall, she was about the same size as a five or six year old so it was no surprise Dadan got the age wrong."
"Everyone gets her age wrong at the start. I'm just so lucky that our children take after their mother. That means that they're all beautiful!" Luffy said grinning and giving Amande a quick kiss.
"So what do you think will happen when he remembers that his daughters might get interested in dating?" Usopp asked cheerfully as if he wasn't already planning on sniping any possible suitors for the little princesses and prince.
"Daddy's rule little one! No dating until you're twenty!" Luffy said making the entire crew snort.
Those were the children of pirates, children born to be free. There was no way in hell they'd listen to that rule.
"I three!" Pixie said holding up four fingers by accident and making Luffy smile and kiss her curly blue hair, she was almost a clone of her mother but she had Luffy's smile and his nose.
"One too many fingers sweetheart." Luffy said gently folding one of the tiny fingers down so that she displayed the correct number of fingers.
"Three!" Pixie said beaming and now holding up the correct number of fingers."
"Adorable." Hachee said smiling softly at Pixie who beamed back at her.
"How the hell do you have a three year old daughter?! You're only seventeen!" Dadan shouted at Luffy again making him blink before grinning.
"Shishishishi. Raftel must have blown us not only to different islands but also back in time sweetheart. This is where daddy was raised before he became a pirate. If the two of us are on this island at this point in time then mommy and the others must be back where they were before daddy met them."
"We were!" The Straw Hats chimed in at the same time.
"Luffy tried to explain what he thinks happened to his little girl, causing her to look confused.
"Lost? Uncle Zoro?"
The rest of the crew just started snickering or laughing at the Frist Mate there while he scowled but didn't say anything as he blushed.
"Pixie asked making Luffy laugh again while Dadan was trying to wrap her head around what he said. Back in time? As in he was from the future? Well that would explain all the new scars, the muscles, why he looked older, and the ink on his back.
"Yeah they're all lost and we gotta find them like we do Uncle Zoro." Luffy said kissing his daughters forehead with a small grin on his face. It had been hilarious watching Zoro look so embarrassed when the three year old told him he was going the wrong way."
"Ha! That was so funny! The marines were even laughing." Usopp said snickering along with the rest of the crew while Pixie looked at her little sisters and brothers sternly.
"Uncle Zoro gets lost easy. So when we're out with him remember where we came from or are going and hold his leash." Pixie instructed her little brother and sisters who nodded their heads as seriously as they could.
"His leash?" Brulee asked raising an eyebrow at that and making the rest of the crew snicker and laugh while Nami held up a collar and leash.
"After the fight with Kaido I literally bought a leash for him for when we need him to stay with the crew. It's very effective as long as someone other than Luffy holds it. Pixie-chan has the most fun with it though." Nami said grinning wickedly while Zoro sighed and slipped on the collar, the leash now being held in Pixie's hand while she settled into his lap with a bright smile.
"Seriously? That's the guy who defeats me?" Mihawk muttered quietly to Shanks who snorted a bit.
"Mommy?" Pixie asked making Luffy nod his head.
"We'll find some way to get to your mommy first. We aren't letting her stay where she is, especially not in her condition." Luffy said as his eyes flashed dangerously."
"I was ready to start using my slingshot across Islands and using Sky Walk for the rest of the way to get to you if I had to." Luffy said and Amande smiled fondly at him.
"I have no doubts you would do it too. Overprotective loveable goofball that you are." Amande said and he beamed at her, pulling her into his side again and resting his head on her shoulder while his arms wrapped around her and their children.
"If Big Mom found out his wife wasn't part of her crew anymore, or if she found out that Amande was pregnant…there was no telling what she would do except that it would not be good for Amande and the baby."
"She'd probably demand answers on who the father is or try to steal some of my lifespan if not just outright kill us." Amande agreed while Big Mom winced since she knew well enough to know that her daughter wasn't exaggerating it.
"If there was one scratch on his wife when he got to her he was going to burn Big Mom's entire island down with her still on it."
"Damn right I would." Luffy growled darkly and he glared at Big Mom in warning while the rest of the crew gave grim smiles.
"And we'd be right there with you throwing gasoline on the fire Captain." Zoro said with a bloodthirsty grin to the Charlottes.
"Around that same time on Nuts Island
"Pix! Lu!" Amande shot awake in an instant as she looked around for her husband and child, only to have to pause when a wave of nausea hit her."
"Nausea and morning sickness. Two of the most annoying symptoms of pregnancy." Amande said sighing while all of her sisters that had kids nodded their heads rapidly in agreement.
"Easy baby. We have to find your daddy and…" Amande put a hand on her belly and began to talk to the child within it, like she had done when pregnant with Pixie,"
"Mommy talked to me before I was born?" Pixie looked mind blown at that and the entire crew smiled fondly at the girl.
"Everyone talked to you when we learned you were in your Mommy's belly. Just like how we all talked to Jordan, Caramel, and Linlin before they were born and how we talk to the new baby as well. We all wanted to make sure that our little Pirate Princess knew the voices of her aunties and uncles!" Usopp said grabbing Pixie and throwing her up a bit, catching her easily while she laughed in glee.
"when she noticed that she wasn't on the Sunny. No…looking around Amande noticed that she was in her room back on Nuts Island. Thankfully she didn't have any homies in her room who could report her 'out of character' actions back to her mother."
"Yeah I don't mind them anywhere else but there are no homies allowed in my private bed or bathrooms at all." Amande said and most of her siblings agreed with that, they did like to have some small degree of privacy after all.
"Nuts Island…I'm still alive…there's no chains or shackles…and my siblings aren't even trying to attack me…what's going on?"
"Yeah waking up back there when my last memories of being on Nuts Island was of it being nearly destroyed by Mama during her Hunger Pains? And then not being shackled or attacked by my siblings? A huge relief but also really jarring." Amande said with a wince while her siblings looked a bit horrified. They had attacked their sister?
"Amande noted all the things that were honestly freaking her out at the moment. With the way her mother had reacted to Amande defecting and joining the Straw Hats"
"After what had happened it wouldn't have mattered if I defected to join Luffy or join some other crew or even just try to retire from the pirate life. Mama would have hunted me down and killed me. At least with the Straw Hats I found love, a new family, and got to even have some cute little ones of my own!" Amande said smiling and truly grateful for the way things had happened. Sure it had hurt to be attacked by and hunted by her (mostly reluctant) siblings and her very much furious mother but…it was worth it for her little ones.
"…much less about Amande marrying Luffy"
"Oh man her attempts to ruin the wedding…" Nami shook her head as they all remembered the lengths Big Mom had gone to in order to try and ruin Amande and Luffy's wedding. Good thing they had Robin on their side, the woman who could literally be in two places at once, and a few of Amande's siblings had managed to distract or divert Big Mom off course subtly for just long enough for their sister to enjoy her wedding day.
"and having his child"
"Mama put a two billion berry reward out for someone to take my daughter and get her to Whole Cake Island alive." Amande said dryly and glaring slightly at her mother who winced again.
"…she'd never thought she'd get to see her home island again unless she was either dead, dying, or a prisoner.
Grabbing the newspaper that her servants always left under the door for her she looked at the date.
"We've been sent back in time. By the Sea do I hate New World mist and bullshit."
"Amen!" Most of the pirates exclaimed in unison.
"Amande said sighing as she pinched the bridge of her nose. Feeling a rolling in her stomach that she knew all too well, Amande headed for her private bathroom without delay.
"Are you alright sister Amande?" Brulee asked appearing out of a mirror looking worried when she saw her sister throwing up."
"Scared the hell out of me when you did that the first time. I had been so used to you not being able to do that…" Amande said looking at her little sister who gave her a sheepish and apologetic smile.
"I'm fine Brulee. Must have caught a stomach bug on my last mission is all." Amande quickly tried to wave her sister off, trying to hide how tense she was when her sister appeared next to her."
"Since you had defected from Mama and likely had fought me before then I can't blame you nee-san." Brulee said although she did look a little sad at that. After all Amande was her favorite big sister.
"Better leave quick. Don't want you to catch it." Amande said making Brulee look hesitant before nodding.
"Call through the mirrors if you need me." Brulee said looking worried but earning a smile and nod from Amande before Brulee vanished into the mirror. Waiting several minutes in case her sister was hanging around or decided to come back out…Amande let out a sigh of relief when her sister didn't show up again."
"God I was so paranoid of everything." Amande said shaking her head a bit and making her siblings give her tense kind of shaky smiles.
"Considering everything that we know now? It makes a lot of sense you would be." Katakuri said and he was staring coldly at Luffy, Amande was his second favorite baby sister right behind Brulee. So if Luffy didn't prove himself worthy of one of Katakuri's favorite sisters…well…Prim's pet shark hadn't had human meat in a while.
"We have to be careful right now little one. Your daddy and sister and aunties and uncles aren't here to help mommy and we're in a very dangerous spot. You can't make mommy sick too often okay?" Amande asked her unborn child softly, quietly in case Brulee was listening in from another room,"
"I was." The witch in question admitted immediately.
"as she rubbed her stomach.
"Don't worry though. We'll find daddy and the others soon, or they'll come find us. You know how protective your daddy can be and if you don't yet, you will soon." Amande whispered with a small smile on her face although her mind was in a dark spot."
"Daddy protect us from everything!" Pixie said beaming at her father who kissed her head with a smile.
"That's right. Daddy will protect all of you from everything and anything. And I always will." Luffy said smiling softly at his children, it was clear to everyone how much Luffy adored his children and his wife.
"What if something happened and Pixie was separated from Luffy before they were sent back in time? Was her baby girl alone and scared and crying for her mommy and daddy?"
"Thankfully not." Amande said looking relieved as Pixie bound back over to her parents and now dozing brother and sisters. Immediately she was pulled into Amande's arms and got several quick kisses to the head.
"I would have torn the world apart looking for her if she wasn't with me." Luffy said and the look on his face and in his eyes showed that he meant every word. If his daughter hadn't been with him when he awoke then he would have turned the world inside out looking for her and Amande and his crew would have been right beside him.
"She really needed to make sure her baby was okay.
She refused to be anything like her own mother."
"What?" Big Mom asked looking stunned and confused and a bit hurt at that as she stared at her third born daughter who didn't meet her eyes but also didn't apologize or explain.
"She refused. She had to make sure her child was safe and happy and healthy and if someone had hurt a hair on her daughters heads then they'd better damn well hope Luffy got to them first!"
"You'd be brutal…but quick. Me on the other hand…" Amande trailed off, after all she was known as a slow style killer for a reason.
Big Mom frowned heavily though…but…her kids were safe and healthy…and they were happy too right?
"She had earned her title of Demon Lady for a damn good reason.
And she'd prove why if anyone even thought about hurting her sweet little girl."
"Amande you got that title because when a marine Vice admiral had snuck onto the Islands he planned to and was attempting to rape Smoothie before she was even sixteen. You cut his balls off a centimeter at a time and had them turned into paste before you literally spoon fed it to him before slicing him in half across the waist so that he could feel every second and centimeter for hours before he finally died." Oven said staring at his sister while those who didn't know the story looked torn between stunned or horrified or sick.
"And to think. That's what happened when someone attempted to hurt my little sister. What do you think I'd do if someone hurt my daughter?" Amande asked and most of her siblings paled or looked green, imagining the things their sister could do to the person responsible.
The book flashed from Amande's hand to Brulee's though and the mirror user opened it immediately, not looking as sick or horrified as the others. After all she had seen it happen in person and had been comforting Smoothie and making sure she'd be okay while Amande tortured the filth.
Thankfully their sister hadn't been violated but she was still distrustful of any man and often preferred the female form in her (discreet as hell because of Mama) romantic partners.
Not that Brulee would say that. After all she was the best secret keeper in the family for a reason.
Mostly because no one knew about all the secrets she learned by accident.
