Cecil Shot AU

Two blue eyes opened slowly with a small blink, slowly looking around confused and curious and wondering what the hell had happened.

Slowly, realizing that she was in pain and her mind fuzzy still, the girl sat up and looked around.

A hospital room? Why was she in a hospit-

Cecil's eyes widened as her mind suddenly cleared and she remembered what had happened. Nachi!? Where was Nachi? Was she okay? The last thing Cecil remembered was knowing that Nachi was in trouble and moving without thinking. Was she okay? Did she get hurt?

Cecil ignored her own pain as she ripped the wires off of her, making the machine next to her let out a high pitched shriek like noise, but Cecil ignored it as she stood to her feet and fixed her gown before moving to the door at a fast pace. Was she sore and hurting? Yes yes she was. Was she going to let that stop her?

Hell no.

There were loud footsteps rushing towards her but Cecil ignored them as she looked around alarmed and began to walk/limp her way down the hallway looking for Nachi's name on any of the rooms.

"She's awake!?" More than a few of the people rushing towards her looked stunned and pulled up short, nearly causing a massive body pile on the floor as they stared at her in disbelief and shock.

"How the hell is she up and walking?!" Another voice asked and Cecil looked at them and immediately opened her mouth. She tried to ask them something but nothing came out and she looked confused as she brought a hand to her throat.

She opened her mouth again but nothing came out even as her mouth moved to form words and she looked confused and upset and annoyed.

She wanted to know where Nachi was! Why wasn't her voice working? Did she hurt her throat or something?

"You won't be able to talk for a few days with the damage you sustained. Come on let's get you back to your room." One of the doctors stepped forward to try and guide Cecil back to her room but she moved away from them and stared at them pleadingly.

"…chi…" It was barely a whisper but it was more noise than they thought she'd be able to make and they exchanged stunned and amazed looks.

"You shouldn't try to talk. We need to-"

"…achi!" Her voice was stronger now and the doctors eyes widened while Cecil looked serious and determined and she was slightly frantic. Where was Nachi? Where was her friend? Was she okay? Had Cecil been able to protect her?!

"Nachi…" Cecil managed to get the whole name out and her throat was hurting and Cecil felt as if something was straining against her speaking and hurting worse.

"NACHI!" Cecil managed to scream the name, causing the doctors to cower away slightly in disbelief and amazement and fear at the power they could feel from the girl who's throat began to bleed again.

In the Waiting Room.

They had all jolted awake when they heard the shriek of the heart monitor, a shriek that indicated someone was flatlining.

"Defibrillator to Room 304!" A voice said over the intercom and everyone felt their hearts freeze for a moment.

"Did…did she just say 304?" Seresi asked whimpering slightly while a team of doctors ran by them alarmed and with a defibrillator on a cart.

"But that's Cece's room." Tsunomi said and she was pale white now as she stared at the others.

"No…" Ageha breathed out in disbelief and horror as the implications went through everyone's minds.

"Kid…" Quinn clenched her teeth and fists so hard that her nails were piercing her palms till they bled.

"Baby girl!" Sasori looked heartbroken as there was a stunned noise from down the hall as the racing footsteps stopped.

"She can't…" Honey looked grim as he squeezed his eyes shut tightly and the rest of the room became heavy all of a sudden.

"But…but Cecilu…" Moyo said looking confused and in disbelief, what was going on? She could still feel Cecil's life force! So then why…?

"NACHI!" The shout echoed around and the Butterflies jolted. They knew that voice!

"Cecil!" Hotaru was already up and out the door, racing towards the voice without hesitation. The rest of the Butterflies were up not far behind her and rushing towards the shout.

In the hallway was the group of doctors and the defibrillator gathered around but now pushed a bit to the side as they stared at something in front of them. Hotaru had shoved them out of her way as she dashed forward.

Looking past the doctors the Butterfly members felt their eyes widen but their hearts were feeling lighter now as they stared at the scene before them.

Cecil was standing, wrapped in bandages and with the bandage around her neck bleeding but she was standing. She was standing in the hallway and was looking worried as she stared at Hotaru who nearly slammed into her with a hug but stopped short to not hurt the girl.

"Nachi…okay?" Cecil asked and she looked worried as she stared at Hotaru, not caring about the blood dribbling out of her mouth.

"Oh Cecil…" Hotaru's eyes were so soft and she looked so guilty, tears in her eyes but she smiled at Cecil.

"I'm fine Cecil. I didn't get so much as a scratch on me. You protected me." Hotaru said softly and Cecil looked relieved as she examined Hotaru and then relaxed.

"Good…glad you're…okay…" Cecil said and she had a small relieved smile on her lips as her strength began to fade now that she knew the other rookie was okay, beginning to wobble.

"I'm alright. I'm perfectly fine Cecil. Now save your strength. You were badly hurt protecting me and you're going to need all the energy you can get to get better." Hotaru said smiling as she caught Cecil in her arms and gently lowered the girl to the floor.

"Caterpillar!" Ageha was the next one at Cecil's side, gently taking the girl from Hotaru's arms and holding her close.

"You really scared us there caterpillar." Ageha said and she kissed Cecil's forehead, relieved to see the girl alive and awake.

"Sorry…" Cecil managed to get out and Ageha noticed how Cecil's blood stained neck bandages weren't getting more stained now.

"It's alright caterpillar. Don't worry about anything okay? Just focus on getting better." Ageha said smiling softly at the girl as the rest of the Butterflies crowded around her looking relieved and happy to see her awake.

"Come on Sudo. Let's get you back to your bed. You need rest." Honey said taking her from Ageha and easily lifting her into his arms to carry her back to her room.

"I'm so glad you're okay Cecilu." Moyo said looking relieved and Cecil gave her a weak smile, already dozing off into a nap as Honey gently settled her in her bed.

"That's strange…" Sasori said softly as she looked at Cecils' arms noticing something.

"Sasori?" Tsunomi asked glancing at the flirty diviner who glanced up but looked back at Cecils arms intently.

"Baby girl ripped those tubes and all out, and I doubt she knows how to do so professionally." Sasori said motioning to the tubes and all that had been hooked up to Cecil earlier and everyone glanced at them.

"Yeah and?" Diana asked confused at where the woman was going with this.

Sasori glanced at them all with a furrowed brow as she lifted Cecil's hand so that they could see her arm, gently putting the Butterfly plushie in Cecil's hand.

"There's no wounds."

Everyone glanced at Cecil's arms and noticed with a jolt that Sasori was right. There wasn't a single mar or blemish on Cecil's arms that showed where she had ripped her tubes out.

"Oh please tell me the girl awakened a healing power. Please say it's just a healing power and not something that will come to bite us in the ass later."

Quinn may have been whacked upside the head for her curse word but everyone agreed with the officers sentiments.

If only they knew.
