Spirtiree0513: Thanks for the review and glad it looks interesting.

Guest: Thanks for the review. Yes, there is only one Darkseid since Smallville Season 11 comics confirmed it. And yes, there will be something. You'll see on the rest. Oh yeah, that'd be nice, thanks for asking.

Chapter 2- Meetings of Heroes

"Nothing on the markings or the design, Dr. Choi?" Victor Stone asked Ryan Choi.

"No, Victor", Ryan informed him regretfully. "Dozens of tests and we're still unable to learn a single thing. No idea if it is like the previous one or not, or something else entirely. We know less now than when the Flash brought it to us days ago."

"Maybe we'll catch a break with the metal scan", Vic suggested. So far, he himself hadn't been able to do much either, in spite of his work with the last Mother Boxes.

Ryan tried to do metal scanning but it did not work either.

"You've been working around the clock on this, Ryan. Perhaps if you got some rest", Victor suggested. "We all should."

"I'll rest when we know what this device is... ..." Ryan said before looking at a Parademon that had been captured by Flash and brought here but was now decaying to nothingness, "and why that creature needed it planted in Central City."

He turned to Vic. "Now, what do we know?"

Vic used his technology to display a hologram. "It's broadcasting some kind of signal. And we've tracked similar signals emitting from Coast City, Gotham and Metropolis. Then it's talking to someone. Honestly, its signals are completely different from Mother Boxes, and so is its design, but considering it comes from a Parademon, better be careful and find out what is what before the big stuff happens."

His phone then rang and he saw a lightning bolt symbol, knowing just what it was. "I should take this."

He accepted the call as Barry-Blue said from the other end. "Hi, Vic man. I figured I'd see if you had information... ...regarding the device I left with you."

Central City, CSI Department

Barry-Blue was carrying a paper bag while holding the phone between his ear and shoulder as he spoke, and almost bumped into a man, then apologized to him with a nod.

"Slow down, buddy. I can barely understand you", Vic suggested to him a chuckle.

"Yeah, I get that sometimes", Barry-Blue said.

"We lost the Parademon", Vic informed regretfully. "It seemed engineered to fall apart."

"I see", Barry-Blue noted. "Any further data on the device? Is it a Mother Box?"

"Nothing yet", Vic said. "We don't know anything. But I should know more in a few hours."

"All right, I'll check back with you then", Barry-Blue assured. "I'll catch up with you later, Vic man."

Barry-Blue then reached his desk and told everyone in the room there. "Burritos are here."

He put the paper bag down as the people walked to him, taking their burritos one by one.

"Can't even do that quickly", one said.

"Where's my extra salsa?" Another asked.

"Finally."

"About time", one guy said as he took the last one. "Way to take the "fast" out of fast food, Barry."

Barry-Blue lifted the now empty paper bag and groaned in frustration as he called out. "Hey, guys, someone took mine by mistake." He added to let them know. "Chimichanga." Still no response so he groaned once more and called out to them all again. "Guys?"

Outside of the White House, people all over were gathered, having protests due to their dislike of the damage that the superheroes did in their fights, and there were various signs of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman held up with crosses over them signifying the people did not like them anymore.

Not even Wonder Woman, who was their favorite once upon a time, because nowadays people cared about blaming superheroes for property damage than being grateful to them for saving their lives.

The car carrying Diana Prince (or just Prince, as this specific version of her is called for differentiation from the other versions) stopped as one man stepped over the car, holding an effigy of Wonder Woman hanging for her crimes.

He then held up the effigy high for every single person to see and declared. "These freaks cost America over $100 million in property damage. Who's gonna pay for that? Us regular people, that's who."

The people all howled and cheered as Prince stepped out of the car and General Swanwick, who was next to her called out. "Diana, wait."

But she was already out as the people now backed off in fear from her.

"It's Wonder Woman."

"It's her."

"Someone do something."

"Oh, great", Swanwick groaned from where he was sitting.

Prince introduced herself to all of them with a promise. "I am Diana of Paradise Island. Tell me who you speak of, and by Zeus, they will taste my steel."

She then looked up to see the man holding her effigy, and then the various other people holding the signs. And that made her very, very shocked and surprised, since she had done nothing but try to help the people rather than destroy or hurt them.

"You've gathered to protest me and my allies?"

She turned to the man holding the effigy and pointing her sword at him, demanded. "You, what is your problem with me? Tell me!"

The man lowered the effigy and decided to just let it all out. Or so he thought he was. "You want the truth? You swing that sword with a smile and you scare normal people. So do your friends in capes, especially the freak in Gotham. And you dress like a whore."

The people then all booed at her once more.

Prince was not convinced though and said. "This is not your truth."

She unfurled her Lasso and swung it at the man, tying him up as it glowed and she then told him. "The Lasso compels you. Now tell us your truth."

The man now looked embarrassed as he let it all out, and this time he actually let it all out, and not just what he thought was the truth, what he had convinced himself of, but rather what was actually the truth in this entire case.

"I cross-dress in a Wonder Woman outfit. It makes me feel powerful."

The people now stopped their booing and screaming and groaned as Prince smirked. "Embrace your truth, my friend." She unwrapped the lasso from around the man, letting him go, and shrugged innocently. "My outfit makes me feel powerful too."

Swanwick then got out of the car and urged Prince. "We better get going."

Prince agreed. "Yes, off to see this President that you speak of."

At Metropolis, Detective and Hal got out of a green plane that Hal had used his Ring to make up, with Hal also holding the Mother Box in a green sphere to carry with them both.

Detective held up his tablet and said. "Superman's close. I've been tracking his flight path since he did not respond to my calls."

"Pfft", Hal shrugged and mocked him. "On what? Your own satellite?"

Detective just turned back to look at him as Hal said with raised hands. "I was kidding."

Detective then turned and continued walking as Hal's eyes widened in surprise again. What the hell was this guy?

"You have a satellite?" He asked as he followed Detective near the edge of the roof, the two now standing and waiting for the Man of Steel to show up.

"Here he comes", Detective said, and Superman (or Clark, as this version is called to differentiate from the others) flew into the area, but he was fighting a powerful armored Parademon himself as the two crashed into an abandoned warehouse nearby.

Hal saw another opportunity for glory and started. "First one to the building is..." He stopped when he saw Detective was already swinging away on his grapple hook towards the area. "Ugh, I really hate that guy."

Detective landed near the warehouse and was about to walk to it when Hal flew in front of him and said. "Wait here."

Then a green barrier surrounded Detective, trapping him as Hal assured. "I got this." He then added to placate the veteran superhero. "No offense. You'd just get in the way."

He then said boastfully. "Here's the plan. Green Lantern kicks everyone's ass. TMZ's got the video."

With that, he walked inside as Detective just stood, groaning and fuming, and there were sounds of fighting inside and a green light was also seen shining before suddenly Hal was thrown out, shattering the barrier and falling down as his Mother Box fell down too.

Detective picked up the Mother Box as Clark flew out and sped to him. "Oh, hey Batman! What are you doing here?"

"It is important", Detective told him as Clark noticed the Mother Box on the ground.

"The Parademon that attacked me had one of those boxes you have", Clark noted. "Is it a Mother Box or something?"

"We don't know yet, but we are all working on it now", Detective assured, when suddenly Hal appeared, angry at Kal whose attack had accidentally hit him and sent him flying out.

"Round two, flyboy", Hal snarled as he hurled some green chains at Clark who easily deflected them but then some bigger ones sent him flying off.

"Lantern, no!" Detective yelled as Hal went flying past him and wrapped Clark in all of the chains, trying to keep them on him as Clark grunted, trying to break free from those chains.

Then he smirked. "Chains?" He looked up at Hal and shrugged to him. "You're funny." He then grunted again and the chains cracked before shattering into pieces, sending Hal flying off who had to use his Ring to make a barrier and protect himself from any damage.

Before Hal could charge again, Detective stepped between them both, holding out his hands on either side, groaning and fuming. "Stop, both of you!"

He turned to Hal. "You, think with your head!"

He turned to Clark and apologized. "Sorry about him, he acts before thinking."

"No problem", Clark assured.

Hal sighed when police helicopters shone over them and Detective ordered. "Let's move."

He opened the sewers and jumped down as the other two flew alongside him, and he also carried the box in his hand, even if he was not sure what it really was.

"Man, what is it with you and sewers?" Hal asked as they continued their way through the sewers.

"Someone is strategically placing these boxes", Detective noted before warning. "It is Darkseid, of course, but we have to find out why exactly why he is doing it before it's too late, and if these are Mother Boxes or not."

Apokolips

The great Being and Cosmic New God Darkseid sat on his throne, as his minion Desaad kneeled before him.

Darkseid asked in his terrifying, booming and commanding voice. "Desaad, what do you have to report from our agents on Earth?"

Desaad informed him with a little regret in his voice. "Sire, the powerful one has found a Mother Box. The one they mistakenly call Superman, who defeated Steppenwolf when he had tried to bring us to Earth to take over it."

"And?" Darkseid then demanded, knowing Desaad had something to say too.

"These defenders, this Justice League as they are now called, they have sprung up like antibodies to protect their planet in the wake of Steppenwolf's invasion", Desaad told Darkseid. "We are in danger of losing the element of surprise, my Lord." And with that, Desaad made his humble request to Darkseid, hoping he would be listened to. "I humbly ask that you move up your timetable."

For a few seconds, it was silent, and then Darkseid narrowed his eyes and finally spoke to Desaad, giving his orders.

"Let the invasion begin."

Earth-50, Metropolis

"So, no offense intended of course, but why are you two here?" Clark asked Detective and Hal. "Metropolis is my turf."

Detective informed him. "There have been reports of mysterious kidnappings across the country."

"We had them here too", Clark said with folded arms. "Figured that was life in the big city." He asked his fellow superhero. "Think the disappearances and these Parademons coming back with new boxes are connected?"

"They're connected", Detective said firmly, knowing in his gut that he was right.

Hal started. "So these Parademons, they're..."

"They're soldiers", Detective finished for him. "Expendable soldiers at that. Planting these devices at all costs, that's military tactics. We might be staring down the barrel of a full-scale invasion."

Hal was still fresh and had a lot to learn as he said boastfully. "You're paranoid." He made a green hammer and raised it high. "Let's just crack it open and see what happens."

He brought it down on the box but Detective grabbed his hand before the hammer could hit the box.

"Hey", Hal said, offended.

Detective warned him. "Without any idea what's inside... ...that's idiotic."

Hal made the hammer disappear and folded his arms with a chuckle. "Heh, I'll show you idiotic."

"You are the worst Green Lantern I have seen", Detective groaned.

"You've met others?" Hal asked in surprise.

"Oh I have", Detective smirked, thinking of Steve Rogers and John Stewart of Earth-167, both Green Lanterns now.

Then suddenly the box glowed as Hal raised his hands. "Aah, I didn't touch it. It's activated itself."

"Well, this is not good", Clark said as he and Detective shared a look and groan.

And done with one more, plus I changed the interactions since in the actual film they all meet for the first time while here except Hal they are familiar with each other, so hope the new interactions make sense.

Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter.
