Chapter 4- I am Darkseid!
Metropolis
Hal took on more Parademons, crushing various of them with his contraptions or using his hammer to send any other ones flying off.
Detective leapt back to avoid a Parademon's blows and punched it before flip kicking it away, then dodged another's blows and getting behind it, pushed it away.
The third spewed flames but he leapt out of the way and it hit the other 2 Parademons, burning them, and then Detective gave it an upward kick, making its head go up as it set itself on fire and ran off, falling down.
Hal then formed a truck and sped that into it, making it crash into a side as it exploded.
He then landed and shrugged. "That wasn't so hard."
Then the ground shook as part of a building exploded and more Parademons flew out to take on them, and Hal had to groan while putting his head in his hands.
As a Parademon came at them from behind, it was struck by a speeding blur and then punched multiple times, going down as Barry-Blue was revealed, and he looked at Hal. "Looks like you could use a hand."
Hal turned to Barry-Blue, and being a fan of him, did a weird handshake with him. "Flash, my boy. Great to see you."
Detective looked at the Parademons flying at them swiftly and warned the other two. "Get ready, here they come."
"For Darkseid!" They said like a hive under mind control.
They all landed on the ground, closing up their wings when suddenly there was a roar and Prince leapt in the midst of the Parademons, sending many flying off before she sliced two of them with her sword.
She then used her lasso to take down few more, then charged at the rest, slicing one with her sword and leaping back to avoid the next one's hit before using her lasso to tie it and hurl it into a side.
Then even more charged as Prince hurled the now dead Parademon with her lasso, striking the three as they staggered, and she used the opportunity she had now been handed to slice each and every one of them swiftly, taking them all down in just seconds as she then got up.
Turning to Barry-Blue and Detective she greeted. "Greetings, fellow Leaguers."
Hal was smitten and flew to her, raising his hand. "Hi."
"Hi", she simply said, shaking his hand, as Clark then flew down and landed next to them as well.
"Oh, it's good to be back in the heat of war", Prince said as J'onn arrived too.
"Batman", he greeted Detective.
"Hello", Detective greeted back.
"You know this guy?" Clark asked in surprise.
"Yeah, met him once", Detective shrugged as they looked at the Parademons flying off.
"Yeah, you better run", Hal taunted.
"No, they're assembling, waiting for whoever's behind this to launch the attack", Detective warned the rest.
"All right, now what?" Clark wondered.
"I don't know', Detective sighed.
"Waiting seems to be the best option", J'onn said when Vic flew down to join them too, facing them all.
"Hey guys", he said when Shazam flew down too.
"Oh, so great to see you all!" Shazam said happily. "All are here, except Aquaman, but to be honest I found his powers lame."
Some Parademons were still flying off when suddenly the water nearby rose up, and there appeared Arthur Curry, with sharks leaping out and devouring all of the Parademons before going back inside while the water level subsided too, and then Arthur landed between them.
"I take it back", Shazam said lamely.
"Greetings, friends", Arthur said with a smirk as he and Prince grasped hands, and then he and Clark did the same.
"Now all are here", Shazam said.
"I've talked to their technology", Vic then revealed to them all grimly. "I know their plan. They're terraforming the Earth. It's about to get ugly."
"That fits", Detective shrugged.
"How do you figure?" Hal asked him.
"Well, for one thing, the water's on fire", Detective said, pointing in the direction as they saw a circle of fire in the water with Parademons circling it.
"Okay, now I am not going to spare them all", Arthur snarled at what they were doing to water now.
The fire rose up, and then the water did too, spinning in a tornado, with a tower rising out of the water.
The ground then shook as more towers of the like popped out of the ground, rising to stand high in the skyline, with their sides opening up as light was shot out from all of them, and some Parademons took people away too.
"What are they doing with them?" Clark asked.
"Can't be sure, but I know this. They're not killing anyone", Detective told him.
J'onn added. "They're harvesting them. This isn't an isolated incident either."
Barry-Blue nodded. "It's happening across the world."
The tower from the water emanated light and more Parademons flew out as Victor said with a sigh. "We're too late. He's here."
"Him?" Arthur asked with wide eyes and got a nod, as now all who were familiar with Darkseid were horrified.
Then out of the tower rose Darkseid, his very presence sending chills down their spines, though Clark, Detective, Prince, Arthur and J'onn managed to steel themselves in time.
Darkseid hovered across the air with various Parademons towards as Shazam said lamely. "I'm guessing that's the bad guy."
"Lucky guess", Hal muttered. "Hmm, he doesn't look that tough."
"Don't underestimate him", Clark warned.
Some fighter planes fired missiles at Darkseid and they exploded upon him, but he was pretty much unaffected, as Omega Beams shot out of his eyes, going in whichever direction he wanted, and destroyed all of the planes.
"No", Barry-Blue said in horror.
"I am entropy. I am death", Darkseid said as he flew towards them all, his Parademons close behind him, and finally, he finished his declaration to them.
"I am…Darkseid!"
Hal then stepped forward, trying to sound brave. "Stand back and peep the light show. Green Lantern's got this".
He formed a fist and flew at Darkseid, punching him hard but he was unaffected and punched back, sending Hal crashing into a building and falling down as 4 Parademons started beating him, but Barry-Blue sped at two of them, taking them down as J'onn phased through the other two, getting them as well.
Clark used Heat Vision to take down a Parademon as Shazam hurled one away, and Arthur ran his trident through another, with Prince chopping one more into two.
Detective flip kicked one away as Clark fired Heat Vision around, and one Parademon grabbed him from behind but was hurled away.
Barry-Blue punched one multiple times, taking it down as J'onn rammed into another, getting that one as well.
Hal stood back up and snarled at Darkseid. "That all you got? Not all I got."
He formed a train which sped at Darkseid but shattered on contact with him as Hal fell down and rolled away, groaning in pain.
Darkseid then tried to fire his Omega Beams at Hal but Clark flew at him, punching his head and turning it the other way as the Beams flew in a random direction, but Darkseid then grabbed him by the cape and threw him down, the ground breaking as well.
Hal got up and gritted his teeth. "I'm not through with you."
He flew at Darkseid with a hammer and hit him but the hammer just shattered while Darkseid grabbed his hand, making him scream in pain, and threw him down to the ground.
Prince sliced a Parademon and leapt at Darkseid, striking him with her sword thrice but his armor protected him as he punched her away as well.
Clark then caught her and put her down as Shazam asked Prince. "Is that your boyfriend?"
"No", she shook her head.
"Cool", Shazam said before flying up. "Watch this."
He then called out to Darkseid. "Hey, Blackheart the Deatheater, or whatever your "World of Warcraft" name is, suck on this."
He fired a powerful lightning bolt at Darkseid, but to his horror, Darkseid was completely unaffected and just stood still, taking it all.
He then fired his Beams as Shazam used his bolts to defend himself but was overpowered and sent crashing to the ground as well.
Arthur rushed at Darkseid. "Take this!"
He fired a huge blast of water and struck with his trident but he was unaffected as Arthur was thrown back too.
"Now what?" Victor muttered as Darkseid hovered down onto the ground.
"Now you die", he snarled as he raised his glowing hands.
"Wait, no!" Barry-Blue called out when Clark and J'onn flew in front of him, and just as Darkseid brought his fists down, they raised their arms in a defensive motion.
There was a huge shockwave which destroyed most of the area and knocked out everyone other than those three.
They watched as Darkseid prepared his Beams again and Clark said. "We're gonna have to move fast."
"Not a problem for me", Barry-Blue shrugged.
"Me neither", J'onn agreed as the three of them sped away from the area, trying to avoid the Beams that were now after them all.
Barry-Blue then looked back and saw the Beams splitting. "They're splitting up. They can do that?"
"They're locked on us", Clark realized as they rushed faster, with J'onn turning intangible to avoid, while Barry-Blue muttered. "Come on, Barry. You're moving fast, so think fast."
He then sped between various Parademons, and they were hit by the Beams instead, all being destroyed as Barry-Blue stopped near some civilians and panted. "Ooh, never had to catch my breath this badly before."
J'onn flew next to him as they looked up to see Clark flying up, the Beam still following and Barry-Blue muttered in horror. "Oh, no, Superman."
"He can handle it", J'onn assured.
But then he was hit by a beam and screamed in pain as he crashed down, weakened.
"Apparently not", J'onn said as they sped to the other Leaguers who were now waking up.
That was when Granny Goodness arrived, leading the Female Furies. "Kill them all!"
The Furies then attacked as J'onn punched one away and turned intangible to avoid the next, and Prince leapt at Goodness but was telekinetically sent flying off to the ground where she crashed, then used her sword to slice on coming at her before rolling away to avoid a truck Goodness had hurled telekinetically.
Clark punched Darkseid twice before being sent flying off, and then Darkseid pinned him down, punching him brutally multiple times.
At the last moment, Clark fired his Heat Vision, staggering Darkseid back, and knocked him away by ramming into him powerfully.
As he flew high into the air, he heard Lois Lane scream from their apartment. "Lois, no!"
He flew towards the apartment and reached just as Lane was sucked into a Boom Tube opened up by a Mother Box. "NO!"
Knowing where she would have been taken, Clark flew back outside towards where Darkseid would be. Lane had been made a Slayer too recently, but against someone like Darkseid, that was just as good as being useless, and Clark wouldn't let anything happen to her.
He flew as fast as he could, and reached the area where Darkseid had Lois in his grip.
Clark tried to fly towards them at full speed but then-
CRACK!
Clark couldn't believe what had just happened as Lane's limp body was thrown to the ground, and hit it with a 'thud' as Clark now kneeled near her, looking down at her with grief in his eyes.
'Lois is the key!' Detective remembered Barry-Blue from the future screaming to him, but now it was clear he had failed in that regard, as Lane was dead.
But that did not mean Clark would be lost, right?
Well, he would be, just not in the way they had thought. Time was a fickle thing, and this moment proved it.
As Clark kneeled over Lane's body, distraught and frozen, Darkseid moved towards him, and using his pause due to the grief to his advantage, fired powerful Omega Beams which hit Clark at full force, making him scream in pure agony as he burnt up brutally from the force of the Beams.
When Darkseid stopped, Clark moaned and panted on the ground, only for Darkseid to get behind him, and then snap his neck as well.
With Clark gone, the League felt lost all hope, as Hal and Shazam both charged at Darkseid with powerful roars but he grabbed Shazam by the throat while obliterating Hal with his Omega Beams too, and Shazam was powerfully hurled to the ground before Darkseid stomped on him brutally, killing him.
Detective and Barry-Blue watched, frozen in shock as Victor tried to fire as Darkseid but his attacks did not affect him as Darkseid grabbed him and ripped his head off, killing him too.
Arthur was struck from behind by Goodness' Mega-Rod and screamed in pain as he was sent down, and then she sent it through his throat, taking him down.
Prince and J'onn tried to attack Darkseid but Prince was hit by the full force of the Omega Beams too, being burnt up brutally while J'onn turned intangible to save himself, then he went near Darkseid, turning tangible at the last moment, but was punched hard and sent to the ground, and then hit with the Beams too, screaming as he was killed.
Darkseid then picked up the wounded Prince and broke her neck too.
"What the hell?" Barry-Blue said, now falling to his knees, looking like he was going to cry. "NO!"
"Barry, listen to me", Detective said as he kneeled to him, grasping him by the shoulders. "You are the only one fast enough to get away. You can do this, trust me, believe in yourself."
Barry-Blue got up as Detective urged him. "Run, Barry, RUN!"
With that, a blade protruded through him, and he went down as Goodness smirked at Barry-Blue. "Come on, child, its your turn now."
At The Speed Of Force plays
Barry-Blue instead held out his hand, trying to be faster as all appeared to him in slow motion.
He had done various speed feasts, but mostly with help from other speedsters, except when he had managed to open a portal into the Speed Force during his race with Clark, but that was luck.
This he had to do. He must do.
He then looked around, groaning, and muttered. "Wait…..just gotta go faster than ever before, far beyond than ever before, you gotta do it, Barry, you gotta do it on your own now, and you gotta do it now!"
Lightning emanated off of his body as he ran, letting the Speed Force flow through him while closing his eyes to get a feel of it.
"Dad, whatever happens here, I want you to know that…..your kid was one of them, dad. One of the best of the best."
And with that, he ran harder and faster than ever, leaving the destruction behind as he avoided it all, and then, a portal to the Speed Force opened at last as he ran into it, running through various points as he saw the team coming together to face Darkseid again there.
He ran and opened a rip, ending up in there as he merged with his past self, before he ran back into the Speed Force.
They needed reinforcements, and so he ran, trying to open a portal to Earth-199999, only it failed to open for whatever reason.
What now?
Right, second most powerful Earth in that case.
So he ran again, and managed to open another portal, ending up right in the Watchtower of Earth-167, and panted as he fell on his knees, with Bart running up to him first to support him.
"Hey amigo, what's the matter?" Bart asked in concern. "Oh! And noticed you opened a portal through the Speed Force by yourself, impressive."
"He has come!" Barry-Blue said, standing up while panting.
"Who has come?" Kal (Earth-167 Clark Kent), asked him, eyes narrowed.
"Darkseid", Barry-Blue informed, sounding horrified, as Justice League of Earth-167 exchanged horrified looks.
"Well, guess our day just got much worse", Ollie said as he twirled his bow.
"Let's go", Kal said firmly.
And I finally managed to give Barry-Blue a moment. Now yes, him travelling back in time to get reinforcements isn't as epic as him reversing the destruction, but since here, every time he has done anything noteworthy, it has been with help from other speedsters, so this is still a moment of growth for him.
Him merging with his past-self was like in Flash 1x15 or 'Heroes Come Together' crossover where Barry too merged with his past self and replaced him.
So now Smallville Justice League enters to take on Darkseid.
If anyone feels Darkseid won too easily, remember Smallville Season 11 comics confirmed that there's only one Darkseid, so this is Smallville Darkseid technically, and Smallville is a much more powerful verse than DCEU is, so makes sense that Darkseid didn't have that much of a hard time with these characters. For why he lost in the flashback of the film at the beginning, it took place years ago so he wouldn't be as strong then as he is now.
And Lane being a Slayer I just added because every world should have a known female character as a Slayer.
Also, reason Barry-Blue was unable to enter Earth-199999 is because it has been sealed off temporarily due to the battle against Galactus.
