Characters read Luffy's Mama is Wait WHAT?

The Big Mom and everyone but his crew, all processed this as they stared at Luffy. Luffy who didn't look the least bit phased as he just stared at them curiously.
"That makes me your mama." Big Mom said slowly to her son who just tilted his head a bit again.
"A mama? What's a mama?" Luffy asked and Big Mom recoiled at that visibly and her other children all winced.
"You didn't know about your dad either…" Sanji recalled as he stared at his captain who blinked.
"Oh yeah…honestly I thought the baby bird got lost when it took me to gramps." Luffy said and the Big Mom pirates all face planted or at least face palmed at that. Right. That was their rubber brained brother. How could they forget?
"Just…just someone read the next chapter." Big Mom said rubbing her forehead as if she had a headache.
The book appeared in Smoothie's hands immediately and she eagerly opened it up.
"Katakuri was away now, tracking down his younger brother's ship and crew while Tamago seemed nervous as was he stared down by the other 84 Charlotte siblings and Big Mom herself."
"To hear about our stolen brother? You can bet that all of us were there." Oven said and the rest nodded in agreement as they glanced at their little brother who was distracted by Robin putting a flower in his hair that caused him to beam at her and settle into her arms while she gave him a motherly fond smile and let him lean against her with his head on her shoulder.
"I put some pressure on our usual contacts… and have some… startling information on Monkey D. Luffy." Tamago said sweating slightly as Big Mom finished her brownie and stared at him.
"Well?" Big Mom asked looking at him as if daring it to be bad news.
"It seems that he was raised in East Blue on an island called Foosha."
"Foosha is the name of the village Makino and Mayor Woodslap were in! I lived in the mountains and forest of Dawn Island!"
"Shall I send some of our spies there to gather more information?" Tamago asked making Brulee stand up from her seat at the table.
"With your permission mama…I'd be able to get there and back faster than any of our spies." Brulee said looking at her mother who thought about it for a moment. East Blue is the weakest sea, and with her powers as long as there weren't any mirrors coated in sea stone or in the water then Brulee would be able to get there and back in no time."
"Well maybe not 'no time' since it depends on luck and how many ships with mirrors are in my range…"
"Very well. Go ahead. We shall tell you what Tamago has discovered when you return. But I want you to check in every three days if it takes that long. If you miss one check in I'm sending Oven and Daifuku to check on you." Big Mom said making Brulee smile up at her brightly, which took at least ten years off of her appearance."
"Talk about overkill." Flambe said popping a bubble and glaring at Brulee who ignored her.
"Just be glad it's only Oven and Daifuku. Last time Mama sent you on a mission like that and you took too long to report back she sent Cracker, Angel, Custard, Hachee, Oven-nii, Daifuku-nii, Perospero-onii-san and I to check on you." Amande said dryly to her sister who sighed heavily.
"Trust me. I remember." It was hard to forget the way the island went into a panic at suddenly having eight other Charlottes dock and raise hell to find their sister. Honestly she forgot to check in one time because she got the days mixed up…
"Don't worry so much Mama. I'm a grown woman and besides… East Blue is considered the weakest of them all." Brulee said summoning a mirror to sink into and quickly vanishing into the mirror world, tripping over her own feet as she did so.
"She may be one of the eldest siblings… but she's also the clumsiest."
"Rude." Brulee huffed and the eldest siblings all raised their eyebrows at her.
"Brulee I've seen you trip over actual air before, and that was yesterday!" Broye told her twin who blushed and scowled embarrassed.
"Cinnamon said sweat-dropping a bit and earning nods of agreement from the others.
"Continue with your report Tamago." Big Mom ordered making the man jump a bit and nod as he looked at the papers in his hands.
"His first mate is 'Pirate Hunter' Rorona Zoro, who is rumored to have faced Mihawk back in East Blue and somehow survive a slash from his Black Blade." Tamago said earning an impressed hum from Big Mom while the swordsmen and women in the family looked impressed as well."
"Fought him a bit but I got ahead of myself there. He didn't even use Yoru until the very end." Zoro said scowling a bit and everyone glanced over and noticed the scar on his chest.
"To survive a slash from that sword is impressive." Amande acknowledged as she had a hilt on her own sword.
"I'd expect no less from the First Mate of one of my children. Continue." Big Mom said picking up a slice of cake from off the table."
"I mean…since we serve under your banner we don't technically have first mates of our own…so…" Monte-d'Or pointed that out hesitantly to his mother who frowned and tilted her head.
"Oh yeah. I knew I forgot to do something." Big Mom said but wouldn't further comment on what it was she forgot.
"It… it seems that he has taken on every pirate with a bounty that is considered large for East Blue and emerged the victor with very little if any injuries." Tamago said earning a snort from several siblings.
"Of course he did. He's a Charlotte, and New World born. East Blue is a bunch of guppies by Comparison." Opera said calmly earning nods from the others."
"Yeah not just New World though but Whole Cake Island. We're all durable little bastards." Snack said and Big Mom huffed a bit.
"Just because I divorced them later doesn't make you all bastards. I was married to each of your fathers thank you."
"The list includes Iron Mace Alvida, a Marine Captain named Ax-Hand Morgan, Fleet Admiral Don Krieg, Buggy the Clown who is now a Warlord with Alvida as a part of his crew, and…a Fishman known as Arlong along with all of the above pirates mentioned crew." Tamago said making silence ring out at the end.
"Even in the East Blue, Fishmen are ten times stronger than normal people. Taking out a crew of Fishmen is impressive, especially outside of the GrandLine where they are few and far between." Citron said after a moment, earning nods while most of the younger kids had stars in their eyes. Their big brother was so strong!"
"Yeah our whole village was shocked to see this rubbery boy and his friends just show up and start wrecking Arlong and his crew. Other people had tried before and died after all." Nami said thinking back to it and how it had felt to finally be free of Arlong.
"Of course Luffy getting Arlong's own teeth and making the man get bit with them was pretty funny after the fact." Usopp said with a small grin and making the others snicker.
"From there they went through Loguetown to the Reverse Mountain but…" Here Tamago hesitated a bit looking nervous.
"But what?" Big Mom asked even as she reached for a glass of tea.
"It seems that Iron Mace and Buggy the Clown had launched a joint operation in Loguetown and captured Straw Hat for a small amount of time… they were planning on executing him where Gold Roger was executed." Tamago flinched when the cup in Big Mom's grip was reduced to dust in an instant."
"Some small time flies trying to kill one of my children? Especially in that town?" Big Mom growled with a dark look on her face.
"One of our spies in Loguetown was in the square when it happened. They had managed to catch Straw Hat unaware from behind using an acrobat and had cuffed him with sea stone. Pirate Hunter and the missing Vinsmoke,-"
"I'm not a Vinsmoke!"
"Sanji, had stormed the plaza attempting to stop the execution but they weren't going to make it apparently." Tamago hurried to continue before there was a loud yelp and a bunch of muffled swears when Brulee appeared out of one of the mirrors on the wall by her mother. Unfortunately it seemed she had chosen to fall out of one of the mirrors hanging up several yards up the wall."
"Something that is actually pretty common, especially when she had just got the devil Fruit. Which is why most of our mirrors are close to the ground." Oven said chuckling at his little sister who pouted a bit at that. Being reminded of when she was younger and would pop out of the wrong mirrors or get stuck.
"Back so soon Brulee?" Big Mom asked catching her daughter in one hand amused at how she had came out of the wrong mirror. It was just like when she had first eaten her devil fruit all over again."
"Not you too mama!"
"I popped out of a mirror in a bar and it seems the bar owner looked after Luffy a lot when he was a child."
"Makino!" Luffy, Ace and Sabo were all beaming as they thought of the barkeeper.
"I got most all of the information I was looking for as soon as I told her we believed that Luffy might be my missing little brother." Brulee said looking completely at ease in her mothers hand as she was lowered to the floor.
"What did you learn Brulee?" Smoothie asked her big sister who jumped out of her mothers hand first.
"He was dropped off on Dawn Island when he was barely four months old by his grandfather, Monkey D. Garp. He was left there in the care of the other villagers. Garp only stopped by once every year or so to… train…Luffy." Burlee said clenching her fists tightly at that and making everyone look at her."
"Shitty Gramps? I thought he only trained Luffy after he left him with me and the mountain bandits?" Ace asked tilting his head slightly and frowning at that.
"Nah! Jiji's been training me since I was little, really little! Makino said I was barely able to walk when he first had me fight the monkeys!"
And Luffy was completely unaware at the fact that Garps' name was just put on his crews hit list and rose in the Charlotte family's most hated list.
"Sis?" Galette asked looking at Brulee.
"According to what I heard…Luffy was dropped into a bottomless ravine, thrown into a forest full of dangerous animals, tied to several balloons and sent into the sky, and that's just the start of Garp training him to become a marine." Brulee hisses darkly looking furious at what she had heard."
"GRAMPS DID WHAT?!" Ace and Sabo both were pillars of flame and overprotective brotherly rage at hearing that and the Straw Hats themselves were grim and didn't look happy, each of them reaching out to hold or touch their captain in some way.
"If Garp comes near our islands his life is forfeit." Big Mom growled darkly and her children nodded in agreement with dark looks on their face.
Luffy was just confused on why everyone was so mad at his grandpa.
"That was before he was even seven! Before he had eaten a devil fruit, after that they said that his training only got worse!" Brulee began to tremble now, tremble in rage. Ever since her ex-fiancée's death and her scarring, Brulee never truly got angry. Did she get annoyed?"
"Of course. It's par for the course with such a big family." Amande said nodding her head there and everyone was looking at the furious but controlling it Mirror woman.
"Yes plenty of times. Did she sometimes fly into a rage like their mothers? Yes but not very often and usually after someone had insulted her because of her scar or attacked one of her siblings."
"To be fair her reaction is generally tamer than ours in those circumstances." Effiler said and Hachee snorted.
"Since I shoot out the kneecaps of anyone who I hear talking shit about her or planning to hurt one of my siblings? Her just punching them is fairly tame." Hachee agreed while Katakuri and Perospero nodded their heads in agreement. After all they were very protective of Brulee as well.
"Did she ever get furious without it being part of what some dubbed the family insanity? No.
But right now she was downright furious. And none of them could blame her but they were about to be treated to a very rare and dangerous sight."
"Yeah because we never want to see it happen again. Not after the first time." Angel agreed with a wince while she glanced at Brulee and Broye, recalling how Brulee had flown into a rage when someone had dared try to attack her twin right in front of her.
"Brulee about to go completely apeshit.
And they were sitting at fucking ground zero."
"That means it's time to get the little ones away and find some way to hide or turn our armament haki all the way up. Because she can and will shatter every mirror nearby and rain glass down on us without meaning too." Custard said eyeing her younger sister warily.
"Not to mention what she can do with those claws she calls her nails or her scythe." Cracker said with a wince.
"Or the fact that she could copy most peoples attacks or abilities if they're used on or near a mirror within her range." Angel said wincing as well and the three of them were sharing the same brain cell as they warily eyed their younger sister.
"I'm not going to attack you all!" Brulee protested as she looked around at her siblings.
"On purpose." Cinnamon said nodding to the mirror user who admitted that she had a point. When she flew into a rage she could be like their mother, blind to who was who nearby or in her way.
"You're all pretty weird." Luffy said staring at them with a tilted confused face while the book reappeared in Sabo's hands.
