Characters read Yet Another

"While his Queens were planning their escapes from the New World, Luffy had began sailing around to get his crew back together."
"So this chapter should be a little more lighthearted since it follows Luffy." Galette said and that caused most everyone to relax a little bit.
"This is our husband we're talking about." Reiju said giving her wife a flat look.
"He's going to do something crazy stupid and awesome isn't he?" Galette said with a small sigh and the rest of the crew laughed.
"Depends on what that shows!" Luffy said with a snicker of his own and not even bothering to deny it. After all he was good at doing crazy or stupid things.
"Of course he had ended up right back in the same whirlpool as he had the first time and being pulled aboard a luxury liner that he recalled had been attacked by pirates when he once again sealed himself in a barrel."
"Wait I'm sorry. Read that again please?" Reiju asked staring at Smoothie who did as requested and read the sentence again.
"Luffy…dear…what the hell?" Reiju asked staring at her husband who laughed.
"Yeah I ended up sailing into a whirlpool the first time around and sealed myself in a barrel so I wouldn't drown. I got pulled aboard a cruise ship that was being attacked by pirates." Luffy said laughing and Reiju pinched the bridge of her nose while Galette slammed her palm into her forehead.
She had fucking jinxed it.
"It was actually kind of fun and soothing since he knew he wasn't going to die. It was very easy for him to fall asleep again."
"And he fell asleep during it. Of course he did." Galette said sighing heavily. Why had she married him again?
…
Oh yeah. Because he was a loveable sweet dork who'd destroy the world for the ones who he loves.
"After meeting up with Coby again and knocking Alvida a good few miles away Luffy turned when he felt a familiar strong presence that smelled of Mikan and crackled like lightning to his senses."
"Our storm queen!" The Straw Hats cheered immediately as they looked at Nami who stood up and curtsied.
"It's good to see you again Captain." The orange haired woman behind him said smirking and Luffy smirked back at her.
"Good to see you too Nami. How's the worlds best Navigator?" Luffy asked grinning and pulling her into a hug while she smiled and hugged her pseudo-brother back."
"Pseudo-brother?" Ace asked staring at his brother who nodded his head.
"Nami, Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji are my older siblings too. Robin is the crew dad. Franky is the fun uncle. Jimbe is the dad, and Brook is the grandpa! Chopper is the baby brother!" Luffy said explaining the crew dynamics and making Robin chuckle fondly before Luffy grinned at his wives.
"And of course my beautiful queens and wild Monarch are part of the family too!" Luffy said and he kissed the side of Reiju's neck, making her giggle a bit and playfully push him away.
"Only as good as her Captain. Now…shall we go find our lost swordsman?" Nami asked grinning and making Luffy laugh as the two of them and a confused Coby dropped into a boat that Nami began to expertly guide away from the scene as the Marines arrived."
"Probably a good idea to pick him up first. Or else he'd wander off and end up in the grand line." Usopp said with a chuckle and the rest of the crew nodded in agreement while Zoro scowled.
"It's not my fault your directions aren't clear or that the islands keep moving!" Zoro said defensively and Nami scowled at him.
"I told you to go up a flight of stairs that were less than ten feet from you, and you went the wrong way!"
"So where are we heading Captain?" Nami asked looking to her Captain for the towns name and making Luffy grin.
"Shell's town. The sooner we're all back together the better." Luffy said grinning as Nami immediately moved the boat in the right direction and began to navigate the way expertly. After all she was used to the New Worlds bullshit, so the East Blue was so simple and easy she could navigate it in her sleep."
"Literally. After a while on the New World she was able to navigate the Blues and Paradise in her sleep. We've seen her do it." Robin said and the rest of the ones with navigation experience looked stunned and were gaping at the thought of being able to do that kind of thing.
What the hell kind of navigator was she?
"Wait…are you really going to recruit the Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro? But he kills pirates!" Coby demanded shocked and confused and making the two snicker a bit.
"Of course we're going to pick him up, after all we need our First Mate and swordsman." Luffy said with a laugh as he relaxed a bit, comfortable to let Nami steer the ship since she actually knew what she was doing."
"You sailed right into a whirlpool!"
"Okay and? I never said I knew how to navigate! I told you all that I have no idea how to do that kind of thing!" Luffy said looking confused. He never said he was a navigator. He was the Captain, Nami was the navigator. Why would he learn how to navigate when he had her?
"He's…already part of your crew?" Coby asked surprised and wondering why he had never heard of this before since something like that would have at least been talked about in rumors in the East Blue."
"True. Zoro was thought of as a demon in the East Blue because of how sought out those with bounties and he often went after pirates so hearing that he was on a pirate crew would have definitely been talked about." Usopp said recalling the whispers he had heard of the green haired pirate hunting man demon.
"Yeah just like Nami here. We all got separated however but we were expecting it. Now I just have to go by and get everyone back together." Luffy said as his hat sank down over his eyes to shade them from the sun.
"Yeah…at least this time we knew it was coming…"
"This time?" Hachee asked but none of the crew answered and in fact the Straw Hats beside Luffy and his wives were tense.
"I know it's hard for you to sleep without them nearby but try to get some rest Captain, I can tell how tired you are." Nami said making Luffy nod a little bit. It was hard for him to sleep without his crew and especially his queens nearby…he hadn't slept at all since he had come back to the past…but…now with at least one of his Nakama here?"
"After spending so long sleeping around others you can't sleep without them." Chopper said nodding his head and the rest of the crew agreed. That was why they had a monthly denning night so that they could all sleep curled up together assured in everyone's safety.
"I'll try." Luffy relented to that much and Nami sighed as she moved back towards her captain before sitting beside him and letting him lean against her.
"I know it's hard without everyone else here but I'm here now my captain. It's not much but I'm here for you now and we're going to get Zoro. Just rest." Nami said softly as she tried to coax him to sleep a bit, she'd be able to navigate and steer the small boat from here so the least she could do is be a pillow for her captain. For a little while."
"Being the captain's pillow is a very high honor and responsibility. If he falls asleep on you then you do not move him or wake him up at all. No excuses. No exceptions." Jimbe said seriously and he would know. Luffy often fell asleep in his lap like a cat would. Jimbe had yet to move or wake his captain once while the smaller man was sleeping on him.
"I'll try…thanks Nami." Luffy said relaxing against her and tilting his hat down to cover his face from the sun.
"Always Captain." Nami said softly as she smiled at him as he laid his head on her shoulder and tried to rest his eyes for a little bit.
"Are you two dating?" Coby asked watching them both curiously and making Nami shake her head in the negative."
"Gross. He's like my brother!" Nami said shivering at the thought.
"No nothing like that. He's actually married but was separated from his wives just like he was from the rest of us. I owe him everything though…" Nami said smiling softly down at her captain who she knew was still awake but at least he was relaxing more now and might actually doze off."
"You owe me nothing Nami." Luffy said glancing at her and she just smiled at him but said nothing.
"Married?! But he's so young! And you said wives as in more than one?!" Coby asked gaping in shock at Nami who nodded her head.
"Believe it or not but we're actually older than we look, or older than our reported ages. He's been married to three others for three years going on four." Nami said and she wondered when they'd meet the Queens again, she knew that they sure as hell weren't going to wait two years for Luffy to get his lovers back."
"Got that right. No way were we going to leave you three on those islands any longer than necessary." Zoro said and he was flexing his arms and rolling his shoulders as if he were prepared to storm Wano and Whole Cake Island by himself.
"Is that allowed?!" Coby asked in disbelief and making Nami roll her eyes a bit.
"On some islands it is, heck on a few it's encouraged and seen as a good thing, and even if it's not…well we're pirates. We don't give a fuck about laws or society's norms."
"That's true! The rest of the world can hang! Pirates do whatever the hell we want!" Usopp said with a grin and the rest of the Straw Hats cheered at that.
"Nami said smirking slightly at the end and making Coby nod his head slowly in understanding.
Right they were pirates, of course they wouldn't follow any laws much less care about monogamy."
"Which is common and pretty much the only kind of marriage in the East Blue." Sanji said nodding his head and the rest of the East Blue natives nodded in agreement as well.
"Besides it's not like he's the only one with three spouses. All three of the queens are not just married to him but each other as well. Galette is married to Luffy, Yamato, and Reiju while Reiju is married to Luffy, Galette, and Yamato and Yamato is married to Luffy, Galette, and Reiju. Of course Luffy is married to Reiju, Yamato and Galette so it's not so much as him having three wives but more that they couldn't just pick one of the other three over the others and so they all married each other in one big happy poly pile."
"True!" The four agreed and Kaido relaxed a little bit at hearing that his daughter was married to the other two women as well and not just the three women married to the brat.
"Nami tried to explain it to the boy who's face went bright red at the images his mind was conjuring up about more than one woman being together."
"Honestly it's like every straight guys fantasy." Sanji said and there was a bit of blood from his nose at thinking about Yamato and Galette together.
"It'd be impossible for them to just pick one of the others and they all had enough love in their hearts for all three of the others…so even if it seems strange to other people none of our crew will care or bat an eye. They make it work and they're all so ridiculously happy." Nami said as her fingers began to card through Luffy's hair, scratching his scalp lightly and making him nearly go boneless against her.
"He was more tired than I thought. He must have not slept more than an hour or two a night for the last week." Nami said looking worried at her captain when he almost immediately passed out on her shoulder."
"The head scratches will do that. And no I didn't sleep more than an hour since coming into the past." Luffy agreed and his crew frowned at that, Reiju ran her fingers through his hair and scratched his scalp and he immediately went boneless against her.
"My poor cute captain." Reiju murmured as she kissed his head and let him sleep against her.
"Does he do that a lot?" Coby asked sounding concerned as he looked at Luffy.
"Mm. After everything that we've all been through, especially Luffy, he has a hard time sleeping when he's not near the crew. Since I'm the only one who he's found right now I'm the only one who can get him to fall asleep even if it won't be for long. We'd need the whole crew back for him to sleep for at least 6 hours."
"Longer when the queens are nearby and want to cuddle but usually 6 is a safe bet." Robin said nodding her head in agreement.
"Nami said and she was still staring at her Captain's peacefully dozing face for a long moment before she turned her head back to the direction they needed to go in.
Her captain needed everyone sooner rather than later. Thankfully the swordsman was nearby and the next one they were going to pick up. He'd be able to get Luffy to sleep without any argument at all."
"I swear these two share a brain cell and don't even need to talk to communicate." Nami said looking between the two and making Zoro grin at that.
"Which was good because a cranky or sleep-deprived Luffy was scary as hell an very dangerous against his enemies, as the Charlottes that had followed their mother to Wano would testify."
"We would?" Oven asked tilting his head a little to the side and Nami snorted, as did the rest of the Straw Hats.
"Look. I think the only reason Big Mom and you all didn't even try to do anything during their wedding was because you were still scared of Luffy. He was cranky and sleep-deprived after fighting Big Mom and Kaido for a long while and you all tried to attack him again and he went nuts." Franky said bluntly to the Charlottes who wondered what kind of a monster Galette had married to have scared them like that.
The book flashed from Smoothie's hand to Black Maria's who raised an eyebrow amused.
