Since she did confess to trespassing, despite her pass and reasons, Jaden was punished with a tag duel against whoever Bonaparte picked. The problem with them deciding that however was trying to pick who her partner was. After all Syrus, Chumley, and a teacher all went into the dorm with her but since the nurse herself had access to the Abandoned Dorm she was taken out of the running. None of them were giving up who had been the female kidnapped by the Dueling Mercenary Titan however so they had no way to punish her. Not that they would anyways since she had been kidnapped.

Although apparently victim blaming was something that they were used to doing here and Jaden had flat out told them that considering their history of trying to blame the victim or the hero of the day instead of the one who was actually in the wrong there was, in her exact words, 'No way in any hell you can think of and some you can't I'm telling you who his victim was. For all I know you could try to traumatize her worse than what was already done.'

So now the choice was between Syrus and Chumley.

"You all are apparently missing a few braincells." Jaden said bluntly honest as she stared at the teachers arguing over who should be the one to duel. The student who hadn't moved up in the dorms at all or ranking in the last two years and had been close to flunking twice now…or the skittish boy who was unable to answer a question in class cause of stage fright and would surely jeopardize Jaden's chances of success as well.

The choice for most of them was which of the two Slifer boys would jeopardize Jaden's chances more? And who was their enemy going to be? Although Bonaparte was the one who was mainly wondering about who he could call to be their enemy since he was the one who was going to pick the opponent. He had his eye set on a pair of certain dueling twins that were well known for the tag dueling skills.

"Excuse me?" Bonaparte demanded glaring darkly at Jaden who favored him with a cold stare.

"We are a school focused on all of the different aspects around dueling are we not? The answer is obvious. Have the two of them duel each other and just pick the winner to be my partner." Jaden said calmly and coldly and making the teachers wince slightly at having not thought of that just yet. Honestly it should have been obvious. This was Duel Academy. At least 95% of the problems here were solved by the people involved dueling over it. Seriously if two students wanted the last jello cup at lunch they dueled for it. Someone wanted to argue with a teacher over something in the book, they dueled about it. Someone wanted to accuse someone of stealing something or sabotaging them? They dueled over it.

"Right so Syrus Truesdale and Chumley Harrington will duel to decide who will be your tag duel partner." Bonaparte said nodding his head and making the girl roll her eyes slightly but nod as she turned to leave while the two boys looked at each other.

"Bout time you wrapped up this farce." Jaden muttered looking done with their bullshit as she left the room with a scowl on her face.

"His attitude is out of line." One of the third year teachers said glaring after Jaden and making the ones who knew the truth to roll their eyes.

"Considering that Jaden is the most skilled first year that we have he can afford some attitude and sass. Not to mention considering how things happened and the fact that you're literally punishing him for saving a classmate, in essence telling him not to bother doing anything to help anyone because he'll only get in trouble for it and setting the same example for all the other students mind you, I think his attitude is perfectly in line." Fontaine said glaring darkly at the other teachers who had tried to force this shit show without following proper protocol.

"Answer me this. If that boy was wearing Blue colors would you honestly be treating him like this?" Fontaine asked and the other teachers suddenly shut their mouths aside from a few.

"If you're only giving him this treatment because he wears Red then I honestly think none of you should be teachers. I had commanders like you all when I was in the military. Saw the Privates and lower ranking grunts as expendable and just pieces on a chess board. If they did something wrong they were strung up and had a whole dog and pony show to remind everyone that they're the lowest of the low in rankings. You let a superior officer or some entitled brat with a commission do something though and it's suddenly a light tap on the wrist and everything was swept under the rug. That's the reason I got out of the military." Fontaine said and she was tense and honestly she wanted nothing more than to pull her side arm and blow out the screens that showed the idiots.

Shame she had something called professionalism, something more than the rest of the teachers that had joined in on this farce could say.

"Captain. Take a few deep breaths and then follow Jaden to make sure that his condition doesn't act up. Boys go with her. I'll send word of when the duel will happen later." Sheppard ordered as he put a hand on her shoulder and she nodded once, sharply, before she turned and marched from the room.

"Now then. I think we need to have a talk." Sheppard said his eyes glinting dangerously as he stared at the screens showing his teachers who had all gone along with this.

"About what sir?" Crowler asked looking curious and confused as he looked at his boss.

More than a few teachers paled or shivered at the dark look on Sheppards face.

"About my teachers showing favoritism to an entire dorm over the other two and how they seem to forget who exactly runs this school."
