Some people say that three o'clock is an unlucky time, but I think it's becoming my favorite. He felt the warmth of Akari's body pressed against him, her legs to either side of one of his. Her head was resting on his chest, one hand clutching the front of his shirt as she slept. Locks of crimson hair spread across his chest and tickled at the side of his arm.
Jin almost wondered if he was dreaming, but the reassuring weight of her on top of him told him that she was really there and he was really awake. Well, half-awake. The man was still a little groggy and a little intoxicated from their beer and movie night.
The coffee table was littered with cans and a few bottles from when they had ventured down to the convenience store for more. Staring at them, he determined that he would try to clean them up before she woke. In this moment, he just wanted to enjoy what was happening.
Akari shifted in her sleep, waking ever so slightly and blinking up at him. She moved further up his body, legs slipping to either side of his right thigh, and the hero nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck. "…sleepy…nn…"
Sweat beaded at the man's hairline, but he remained still as she settled herself comfortably once more. When she stopped moving and seemed to have dozed off again, Jin gently let his hands rest on her hips. She's incredible. Even when she's half-asleep, she looks this beautiful. Her hair's all tangled like a hag's!
He gritted his teeth and tried to push away the contradictory thought. Her chest pressed against him, soft against the man's toned chest. It sent his heart racing and he started to come out of his groggy state. The gravity of the situation was quickly setting in.
He had a hero straddling his leg, sleeping on top of him. He could feel her warm breath against the side of his neck and it sent waves of pleasure shooting through him. Without thinking, Jin's hips bucked forwards and he silently cursed at himself. I have to stop! She's so soft! I love holding her like this! She's too clingy! Too warm! I can't handle this! I feel like I'm going to come apart!
The grip on her hips tightened, teeth gritted so hard that they might crack beneath the pressure. Jin heard her mumble softly beside his ear and when her lips skimmed gently over his skin, it took all of his self-control to bite back a groan of ecstasy. "…Akari…please…"
As if she heard and understood, the red-haired hero stopped. She was silent, but her face was still at the crook of his neck and he tensed upon feeling her breath caress him. Her hips shifted slightly and he felt her soft thigh press against his groin.
I can't handle this! It's too much! She's…teasing me without even trying! Akari…you have no idea what you're doing to me! His back arched as her free hand lifted and trailed up his chest, grabbing a handful of his shirt and brushing her fingertips over his exposed skin.
I've never wanted a cigarette so badly before! Akari, you're going to push me too far! I don't…want something to happen! I just wanna pin you down and take you! No! I can't do something like that; I don't want you to hate me! Clenching his eyes shut, he attempted to think calming thoughts. He thought of all of the things that could normally calm him down, but he felt like he was splitting apart.
His right arm extended, fingers twitching as he tried to reach his mask. It would be embarrassing if she woke up and saw him wearing it, but he could no longer bear the sensation of coming apart. His fingertips swiped over the fabric, but he stopped as a sense of peace fell over him.
Akari's lips pressed gently against the side of his neck and his heart beat a bit harder, almost painfully, but soon calmed. Opening his eyes, he stared up at the ceiling and took a shuddering inhale. Jin no longer felt like he was coming apart. He felt oddly whole as he turned his gaze to the woman sleeping on top of him. Akari…? She…stopped it?
This only further proved his point of them being soulmates. Her kiss, her love, made him feel whole again just as he started to panic. Though she was still asleep, Jin knew that she must love him. The power of love had helped him just now. A kiss from her, from his soulmate, was enough to make him feel better.
Shift P.O.V
Her head was throbbing when she woke up, but Akari was a little more concerned with the fact that she was waking up on top of Jin. The second that she opened her eyes, she found her face just inches away from his. The man was still asleep, but the closeness still made her cheeks fill with heat.
From this close up, Akari was able to see every little detail of his scar and she felt a pang of sadness as she remembered his story. Though they had both gotten more than a little drunk the previous night, she still had some fuzzy memories of what they did. Nothing lascivious, as their current sleeping position might suggest. They had talked. A lot.
When she ran out of alcohol, she had walked with him down to the convenience store and they got more. The clerk had remarked on what a weird couple they were and she had sent the stranger a glare before ushering Jin out of the store. He seemed to have not heard what the clerk said, but she liked him. She had no desire to let someone hurt him.
Wait…what am I doing? Akari released the man's shirt, realizing that she had been holding onto him in her sleep. She was about to lean back, but an arm slung across her lower back and pinned her down. He shifted beneath her, apparently still very much asleep and now trying to make himself more comfortable.
The hero's face was now closer to the side of his neck and she felt her pulse begin to pound harshly. She could feel his leg nestled between hers and grimaced. That can't be comfortable. I just need to…damn it! She had tried to adjust her legs and now found them straddling his waist. Well. Isn't this just lovely?
Warmth radiated up from his body, felt easily through the thin fabric of his shirt. It was so comfortable that she was almost tempted to stay still and attempt to fall asleep again, but she worried that the position might be uncomfortable for Jin. Akari set a hand on his chest, planning to push herself up, but his arm lay heavily against her back and stopped her. The woman sighed in defeat, the warm air caressing the side of his neck.
A groan left him, hips subconsciously raising slightly. Akari felt him rub against her and heat flooded to her core in response. She flushed redder than her hair and turned her face away from his neck. Damn it. I look like some kind of pervert, don't I? I have to do something before-!
Her phone began to ring and Akari jolted in response. She twisted sharply and fell out of Jin's hold and onto the floor with a loud thud. The hero tried to answer her phone quickly, not wanting to wake up her "captive".
She sprinted to her room to take the call and her voice came out kind of rough. "It's too early in the morning for this!"
"Akari, baby, were you drinking last night? Your voice sounds kind of rough," Yamada remarked.
"Ah…yeah, kind of. You drive me to drink," she joked.
"So mean! You're going to break my heart!" The male hero chuckled and continued. "Want to get lunch somewhere? Shouta went home this morning without even saying anything!"
"Shouta slept over?" She ruffled her hair, trying to detangle it without searching for her brush. As she sat on her bed, something dawned on her. The bed was made, her pajamas had been picked up off of the floor, and everything just looked more organized in general. Did Jin clean my room yesterday?
"Akari…?" Jin called her name from the other room, sounding half-asleep.
Shit, shit, shit! She turned her attention from her open doorway back to her phone. "Anyway; I'm not feeling great. My stomach kind of hurts and my head's pounding," she explained.
"Awww! Want me to come over and nurse you back to health~?"
"N-no! I mean, I can take care of myself. I'm a…strong, independent woman and all that. I'm fine. Plus, your voice would probably make my head hurt more."
"Whaaat?! Akari, baby, that's so mean! Now you're really breaking my heart!" he pretended to pout. "Fine! I'll see you tomorrow, right? You're coming to work? I heard class 1-A is picking their hero names tomorrow!"
A strangled, nervous laugh escaped her. "Yeah, I'll be there!"
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm fine! Hizashi, how about I call you back and we can talk about going for drinks after work tomorrow?"
This seemed to cheer him up. "Sounds like a date, babe! Talk to you later!"
A date…? Seriously? Akari sank to the floor, leaning her back against the bed and closing her eyes. This is way too much for so early in the morning! Her stomach growled and she bowed her head. Did Jin seriously clean my room? Why? I really appreciate it, but I feel bad. He's doing so much for me…
A tightness formed in her chest as he appeared in the doorway and raised an eyebrow. "Jin. Do you really, seriously love me?" She decided to be blunt. Dancing around the issue would only cause more problems.
He rubbed the back of his neck, turning his face to the side to avoid her stare. "Yeah…Akari, I'm in love with you. You're…my soulmate."
Soulmate? The tightness increased and she sighed. He loves me. He really loves me. I know what it's like…to feel so strongly about someone. When I got that new crush on Shouta, I thought I'd go insane if he rejected me.
She stood and ran her fingers through her hair, frowning. "What does it feel like to be so in love?"
Jin met her gaze and his mouth contorted into a frown. He moved as if to enter the room, but stopped himself. "I…want to do whatever I can for you," he admitted. "I just want to be with you."
"Nn. Does it hurt?" She saw him nod slowly, a muscle in his jaw clenching. He loves me. He actually loves me. Akari crossed the room before he could move and put her arms around his neck, drawing him into a tight hug. Her eyes widened as her chest met his. I didn't realize how well built he is. Wow. He's…really toned.
The man was a little thrown off by her show of affection, but he was not about to reject her or question it. Jin's arms eagerly slid around her waist, holding her against him. He was simply content with her warm embrace and drew his hips back from hers when he accidently brushed against her. "S-sorry."
"It's…it's okay." Akari could practically feel the bliss radiating off of him after she said this. "We still need to talk though. About what I'm going to do." She felt him nod, but the feeling of his cheek gently touching her neck made her tingly.
