Heir of a Monster

Chapter 2

-Re-Destro-

Returning to the lounge, Rikiya noted that Chimera was still staring intently at the screen, even if it just showed the final moments from the written exam. The man clearly valued his son to the extreme. "Ah, good, I see I didn't miss the practicals." Rikiya smirked as he took his seat again, nodding to Nine who returned it. The luck he'd had in finding the son of his father's old right hand had been exemplary and the group had yet to disappoint him.

"Yeah, not sure about that girl hanging around Chimera's kid though." Slice scoffed, "Looks like it's just a pair of ears and a cotton tail."

"Don't let looks deceive you." Mummy's raspy voice piped in "Quirks have been around long enough that who knows if that's all there is."

"Indeed." Rikiya chuckled good naturedly, sipping at a glass of wine "I do so love to watch the UA entrance exam. So many beautiful quirks being utilized to the best that these children can. And who knows how many will eventually join us in the pursuit of liberation?"

"Can you follow those two as well as my son during these tests?" Chimera jutted his chin out at the two people following young Izuku, "I wish to judge who my son is spending all his time with."

"Easily done." Rikiya had two more screens turn on and focus on the other two metahumans in question. Given his own high hopes for the son of the Chimera to eventually join them it would make sense to see who would be likely brought along. "Oh, and it seems there's another young man who recognizes them." Rikiya noted an ashen blonde boy scowling at Chimera's boy and the rabbit girl with him.

"Bakugo." Chimera's tone made it clear that the blond boy was known "His quirk is sweating nitroglycerin he can detonate at will, even shooting his explosions out. He enjoyed tormenting my boy when Izuku's own quirk was late to come in."

"It looks like he'll be in the same group as that large boy your son is friends with." Nine noted as the massive teenager by Izuku Midoriya seemed savagely eager.

"Then let's see what they do." Rikiya made a decision and set the other screens to record "Let's focus on one at a time, I wish to be able to give these three the proper attention their due."

"Focusing on the big guy first?" Slice raised an eyebrow at the paused screen with Izuku's group.

"Best for last." Rikiya chuckled charismatically as he saw the group approach their testing site, "The lad is named Inasa Yoarashi by the way." Rikiya supplied as he pulled up the files his loyalists in the system had made for the various applicants trying to enter UA, "Oh, and he has quite the quirk. He can freely manipulate the air around him to attack, defend, move things around, and even improve his own mobility."

"So, a weaker version of Nine." Slice smirked smugly.

"But without my cellular decay." Nine, ever one who respected strength, noted "And he trained his body well to not rely on just his quirk."

"It makes sense." Chimera nodded, eyes showing a keen intellect few would associate with his more monstrous appearance "If his quirk is what you say then his body would have natural adaptations in regards to durability, to help him survive the g-forces that woul be caused when he moves at whirlwind speeds. If he trained them up even further, then it's no wonder his body gained the kind of muscle mass he has." Rikiya blinked in surprise at the detailed observations.

"I see you're an experienced Analyst." Rikiya noted, not having expected that particular skill set from the 'muscle' of Nine's followers.

"My boy was the one who really got into it, I picked up what I could to be able to talk with him about it." Chimera admitted as they saw the doors at the testing site open to let in the students. The second the doors were open wide enough, Young Inasa and that Bakugo boy shot into the testing site.

It did not take long before an amusing pattern began to surface as the young wind user would take every opportunity he could to 'kill steal' the Bakugo boy, assuming doing so wouldn't take away opportunities of his own or prevent him from saving his fellow applicants. The young man was frequently using his wind to move other test takers out of danger, something Rikiya was sure would get him several 'hero points' from the judging faculty.

"Okay, I'm liking this kid." Slice chuckled as she sipped at a glass of gin, "The reactions he's getting out of that Pomeranian kid are golden."

"I'm impressed with his control over wind." Nine piped in, "It would be interesting to match my quirk against his once the kid gets more experience."

"If my memory of watching these tests is correct, the real interesting part should be coming up shortly." Rikiya smirked as the four looked at him confused, just as they heard the loud rumbling from the recoding as the daunting UA 'Zero Pointer' rose from the ground to face the students. Most scrambled, running away in terror. Young Inasa though took the fight to the robot, noting several slower students who it seemed wouldn't get away in time, the adrenaline making the boy not think that UA wouldn't allow deaths in the Entrance Exams if avoidable. The winds picked up around the young metahuman, collecting the scraps of the destroyed robots before hurling them at the Zero pointer, various pieces of machinery exploding as they damage and push back the giant iron beast.

"He's strong." Chimera nodded approvingly "So long as he helps look after my son, I have no issue."

"Then let us take a look at the young lady, shall we?" Rikiya gave Chimera a teasing smirk, "Perhaps she'll even be your daughter in law one day." Chimera stiffened at those words, his gaze becoming more intent as they switched screens. "Now let's see here," Rikiya pulled up her file "Rumi Usagiyama, quirk 'Rabbit'. It grants her the attributes and abilities of a rabbit."

"Weak." Slice scoffed condescendingly.

"Which include greatly enhanced speed and leg strength, enhanced hearing, and even an 'animal instinct' that alerts her to nearby dangers." Rikiya continued, ignoring the brash redhead.

"'Enhanced strength'?" Slice rolled her eyes "Please, how strong could a silly little rabbit quirk actually be?" as she spoke, the gates opened and young Rumi shot off like a rocket, moving even faster than young Inasa had, her first kick slamming into and caving in the first robot she came across.

"I'd say about that strong." Mummy taunted his teammate as they watched. While Young Inasa showed far more versatility with the multiple uses of his wind, Young Rumi was certainly faster as she zipped about through the testing center. The young rabbit quirk would help her fellow testers but only if it looked like they were drastically in over their heads, otherwise she left them to their own and focused on her own combat.

"She's a fast little thing, isn't she?" Rikiya noted before glancing at Chimera out of the corner of his eye amused "A potential bunny girl girlfriend for your son, I'm sure you must be proud." He could feel Nine rolling his eyes at the taunting.

"Think her costume will match?" Mummy was on board however, the question making Chimera frown while Slice looked ready to slap her teammate upside the head.

"If nothing else we saw she seemed quite close to and loyal to your son." Nine piped up for Chimera's sake, "And she clearly has a strong work ethic, to push such a simple quirk to the heights she has. She'll be a good influence for your son." Rikiya prided himself as an expert on stress and blood pressure, given his quirk it was rather a necessity, and he could practically hear Chimera's lowering. The Zero pointer eventually arrived at this testing site as well, young Rumi moving to pull a trapped student out from underneath some rubble but didn't fight the giant robot itself. "She shows understanding of her limits as well." Nine added as they switched to the last screen, the video starting to show a tense atmosphere between young Izuku and the blue haired boy he'd confronted during Present Mic's presentation.

They saw Izuku gesturing for people to back off, wanting room for something, likely to transform. "Come on boy," Chimera muttered "show them what you're capable of." Rikiya saw young Izuku's muscle's ripple and bulge as he grew, fur, feathers, and horns pushing out of his skin as those there to take the test backed up in stunned shock. Even the teacher running their testing site was frozen in shock at the site. When the transformation finally finished, Rikiya took the chance to observe and compare it to Chimera's form.

Both shared the same wolf-like head and torso, with Izuku's being green as opposed to Chimera's light blue, Izuku's hands showing the same style of scales and claws as his father. Atop his head, Izuku had two sets of horns with one set curling back around like a ram's and the other sticking straight up, much like what his father did in his 'advanced state'. Much like his father, Izuku had a tail but unlike the crocodilian one that Chimera sported, Izuku was showing a prehensile scorpion's tail, the armored chitin gleaming in the sun. Izuku even possessed more animalistic traits than his father with the full set of wings and the barbed spurs sticking out of his legs.

"Holy fuck." Slice gaped at the monstrous form while Chimera grunted in pride.

"That's my boy. He lacks my experience, and hasn't unlocked an advanced state, but his quirk is certainly stronger than mine was at his age." The father was clearly pleased that his son would inevitably surpass him given enough time.

"I must ask, what are the spikes on his legs?" Rikiya raised an eyebrow.

"Platypus spurs, they release a powerful toxin that causes excruciating pain which can last for weeks if one doesn't get an antidote." Chimera explained, "The tail has a paralytic venom but using enough could probably stop the heart of whoever gets stung. And before you ask, yes, he can fly with the wings."

"Impressive." Rikiya's grinned as young Izuku flew into the testing site. While the boy's friend Inasa had the most versatility still, and Rumi was the fastest, Rikiya was able to quickly see that Izuku was the strongest of the three. Every blow crushing what he struck, his fire breath melting away at the robots he fought. He couldn't resist one last dig though, "If he and young Rumi ever had children, would they be able to turn into that rabbit from that old Monty Python movie?" from the pre quirk era or not, Monty Python and the Holy Grail was a timeless classic.

"I'm ignoring you." Chimera didn't even turn around as Rikiya pouted at the sudden loss of his fun.

"Oh, very well." Rikiya rolled his eyes "The Zero Pointer should be arriving any second now." As if waiting for him to comment, the giant robot appeared. One thing that Rikiya noted that was different from the prior tests was that a student was right by the robot when it appeared, some rubble trapping their legs as the boy he now recognized as the glasses wearing student who Izuku had been at odds with. Izuku didn't even hesitate, flying in and throwing aside the restrictive rubble as he worked to get the student he'd been fighting with not even an hour ago out of danger.

"He's…saving that guy?" Mummy looked confused at the act, but Chimera didn't seem surprised in the least.

"My boy has always dreamed of being a hero, of being able to save people." Chimera nodded, "That's just the kind of man my son is." As he spoke, Izuku got the blue haired engine legged boy out of danger and turned to face the robot, charging and breathing fire, tearing apart the heating metal with his bare hands till the robot eventually stopped moving.

"All three are quite impressive." Rikiya nodded pleased, "I look forward to ensuring they join us on the path to liberation."
